We increase the disk with the paragon program. Review of Paragon Hard Disk Manager - program for disk partitioning and data recovery

Purchasing an SSD drive with a small capacity (60 or 120 GB) to accommodate the operating system on it, in addition to the existing hard drive on which user data is stored, is an effective way to improve computer performance. This method is more economical than completely switching to an SSD drive and using its resources to store data on non-system partitions, while the increase in performance will be immediately noticeable due to the accelerated operation of the operating system. On an SSD drive with a small capacity, only one disk partition is formed - the system one, and it is entirely dedicated to running Windows. When connecting an SSD to a computer, there is no need to reinstall the latter, nor do you need to tinker with its settings or install programs and games again. Using special software, the system partition on a regular hard drive can be transferred to an SSD drive without losing Windows functionality.

How do I move Windows to another drive, specifically an SSD drive? We will consider this process in detail below using the example of using the functionality of the Paragon Hard Disk Manager 15 Professional program.

Software solutions for transferring Windows to SSD from Paragon

The process of transferring Windows to another drive - an SSD or a regular hard drive - is called migration in many programs that offer this function. Presented as a separate utility and included in some prefabricated software products from the Paragon developer company, the System Migration Wizard is a functionality for transferring Windows as a separate partition to another disk, including an SSD.

The Windows to SSD Migration Wizard is available in paid Paragon software packages:

  • Drive Copy 15 Professional;
  • "Home Expert 15";

All three products can be tested for free in demo versions, but when using some functionality, in particular, transferring Windows to an SSD, they will ask for full activated versions.

The Windows to SSD Migration Wizard in a separate small utility is an economical option if there is no need for other features available in Paragon products. The utility does not have any functionality other than transferring the operating system to an SSD.

Windows Migration Conditions

Regardless of which Paragon product the Windows Migration Wizard is presented in, you will receive a convenient process for migrating the system to an alternative storage medium with the ability to exclude individual folders and files. This feature can be very useful if, in fact, the occupied space on the system partition of the current disk is larger than the capacity of the SSD.

For Paragon products, the disk format to which the Windows system partition will be copied is not important. The Migration Wizard will cope with its task even if the system is transferred to a regular hard drive with magnetic platters. It’s just that cases of transferring just one operating system to a new hard drive are rare. As a rule, when you connect a new hard drive to a computer, the entire contents and partition structure of the old hard drive are copied, and this is a separate function as part of Paragon products.

The Windows Migration Wizard is not suitable for cases where it is necessary to preserve the structure of the partitions and the data stored on them on the SSD or hard drive to which the system partition will be transferred. During the migration process, the entire space of the storage medium will be formatted, and the stored files will be deleted accordingly.

Source and destination disk

The existing picture of connected disks can be seen using the Hard Disk Manager, since, among other functionality, it also includes a disk partition manager. Version 15 of Paragon's prefabricated products provides an add-on to their software interface in the style of the Windows 8 tiled start screen. Starting a system migration is possible in this add-on by opening the tile labeled "OS Migration", but since we first need to figure out where and from where we will transfer Windows, Let's enter the normal Hard Disk Manager interface. We want a tile that says "Advanced Mode".

After entering the regular program interface, you will see a so-called disk map. As Disk 0, the program sees a working disk with a partition structure and Windows installed - this is the original disk. Another disk with unallocated space, displayed as Disk 1, is the target disk; the Windows partition will be transferred to it in the future.

Running the Windows Migration Wizard

To launch the System Migration Wizard, click the “OS Migration” button located in the “Copy and Migration” menu tab. In the wizard's welcome window, click Next.

In our example, there is enough space on the target disk to transfer the Windows partition to it. In cases where this is not the case, there is an option in the Set Copy Options window of the wizard that allows you to exclude some folders and files.

In the additional window of this option, you need to uncheck the boxes for folders and files that will not be transferred to the target disk along with Windows. Naturally, you cannot remove checkmarks from system folders and program installation folders. Savings in copied system volume can be achieved by eliminating user profile folders with videos, music, images, documents, downloads and other non-system files.

In our case, an empty disk with unallocated space is used as the target disk. If the target disk already has a partition structure and data is stored, the latter needs to be stored in another location, and at the preparatory stage of the migration wizard, you need to agree to format the disk.

In the window for setting copy parameters, there is another setting that determines the future structure of the target hard drive - using all available space to form a system partition or the possibility of creating one or more non-system partitions in the future by leaving unallocated space. Two alternative options for transferring Windows, depending on this setting, will be discussed below in separate questions.

Transfer Windows to all available space on the target disk

Check the box for the option to use all available space on the target disk to accommodate the Windows partition. At the bottom, click "Copy".

Everything is ready to start the migration process.

In the main window of the program we will now see not the real picture of the disks, but with future changes, where Disk 1 is displayed with markup and data. Click Apply and confirm your decision to start the migration process.

The Windows migration process will not take long. The completion percentage, visual bar, and time remaining will be displayed in the Migration Wizard information box.

When the process is complete, close the information window.

Now you can reboot, set the boot priority from the target disk in the BIOS at startup, and test the functionality of Windows on the new media. By launching Hard Disk Manager, you will see on the disk map that the former target disk, the structure of which consists of a single system partition with Windows, is now displayed as working Disk 0.

Transferring Windows with accompanying partitioning of the target disk

Migrating Windows to the target disk, as mentioned, is possible while leaving some amount of unallocated space. We will carry out just such a migration process, and from the remaining unallocated space we will subsequently create a non-system partition on the target disk using the partition manager included in Hard Disk Manager.

As in the previous case, we start the system migration process.

In the window for setting copy parameters, we do not use the option to use all available space for the system partition. Click “Copy”.

We confirm readiness to start migration.

Returning to the main Hard Disk Manager window, we will see a picture of the disks with planned changes: the size of the future system partition on the target disk (Disk 1) is identical to the size of the system partition on the source disk (Disk 0).

The size of the system partition on the target disk can be increased or decreased. Call the context menu on Disk 1 and select “Move/resize partition”.

In the additional window that appears, drag the slider in the “Volume Size” column until the required volume of the system partition is set. Then click “Yes” at the bottom of the window.

When reducing space on a partition with Windows, Hard Disk Manager itself will not allow you to install a smaller volume than is actually occupied by data on the original disk with the system. However, it is necessary to form the system partition of the target disk taking into account future needs - both your own and system ones.

Let's create a non-system partition from the remaining unallocated space. Call up the context menu on the block labeled “Not marked” and select “Create section”.

Of all the possible fields to fill in, in our case, only the name of the volume label, i.e., the disk partition, has been changed. You can change the drive letter if necessary. We will give the entire remaining volume to the only non-system partition. Click “Yes” at the bottom of the window.

If several non-system partitions can be formed from unallocated space, then in the size setting column we set the required indicator for each of them, and repeat the process of creating a partition.

After marking the disk space, a different picture is now visible in the main Hard Disk Manager window, with all the changes made - both related to Windows migration and related to the target disk layout. To make this picture a reality, click “Apply” and confirm the decision.

Upon completion of all planned operations, close the window.

We reboot and at startup we set the BIOS to boot first from the once target disk.

After starting Windows, open the Hard Disk Manager and in the main window we will see a picture of the disks, where the once target disk is now displayed as Disk 0 and has a partition structure according to the parameters specified when partitioning it.

Have a great day!

It is advisable for every hard drive owner to do at least three things: partition the disk, assign a file system, and copy system data. Today, there are a lot of programs that can solve the above problems, and the difference between them is usually insignificant. Now (from the long presence of Windows XP until the advent of Windows Longhorn) the time has come when there seems to be nothing left to improve, so let’s focus on the ease of use and accessibility of the program. And we were presented with Paragon Partition Manager 6.0 as the software to be tested.

It was not by chance that we drew attention to this program. It was this summer that Russified CD versions of Paragon Partition Manager 6.0 (PPM6) from Novy Disk began to appear in Russian “pharmacies” at a price of 120-140 rubles. The price turned out to be an order of magnitude lower than the Western original at a price of 450-600 rubles, especially since the translation into the native language, we think, will please many (especially inexperienced) users.
We would not like to describe everything that PPM6 can do (and it can do a lot). Let's dwell on the most relevant points.

Supply

The disc comes in standard jewel packaging. Autorun displays a full-screen menu, which is not very convenient, since I would like to be able to minimize the window rather than constantly press +.

The menu offers product information and also contains information about Paragon System Recovery 7.0 and Paragon Rescue Kit 4.0.

In addition, there are demo versions of the following software:

  • Paragon Hard Disk Manager 6.0
  • Paragon CD Rom Emulator 3.0
  • Paragon Drive Backup 6.0
  • Paragon Easy CD/DVD Recorder 6.0

The Partition Manager installation package contains the following components:

  • Partition Manager for Windows 95, 98 and ME
  • Partition Manager for Windows XP
  • Partition Manager for DOS
  • Partition Manager for Linux
  • Diskette Build Wizard

Version difference

Please note that we are considering a “personal” version of PPM6, which can only be installed and run on Windows 9X/XP and cannot run in Terminal Sessions. To work on Windows NT4/2000/2003 Server, there is a professional version of PPM6 ($50), which has a number of additional advantages, of which we highlight:

  • operations on dynamic disks, including converting dynamic to primary disks
  • creating scheduled disk management tasks, such as daily defragmentation
  • automatic backup of the system disk at a specified time
  • creating a Recovery CD

Main menu

Installation does not require a reboot. Let's launch PPM6. Approximately 3-4 seconds are spent scanning disks, after which the main menu of the program opens.

The menu is divided into several parts. At the top is the program line, below is the action bar. On the left is the structure of hard drives, on the right is a panel with operating system instructions, below which is a visual section with hard drives (you can assign a proportional view), and even lower is the structure of the selected disk.

Many functions duplicate each other, and by right-clicking the menu you can call up the operations menu:

By pointing the cursor at the hard drive label, you can call up the screen for changing the name of the label, and by pointing the cursor at the hard drive letter, you can quickly activate the information window:

User Settings

I think there is no point in describing all the features of the menu, everything is intuitive, especially Russified. Let us turn your attention to the user settings (Program - program settings).

Let's reveal the essence of all the options:

  • Check data when recording- this option is used for unreliable hard drives that are capable of losing data. After the write operations are completed, reads and comparisons will follow. There is a similar option in Nero Burning ROM when you want to make sure that all the data has been written to the disk.
  • Sector-by-sector copying 1:1- when this option is enabled, the program processes all sectors of the partition. That is, when copying a disk image, everything is copied, not just the working partitions. The only way to copy a partition with bad sectors is to switch to sector-by-sector copy mode. Naturally, such an operation will require more time than the fast copy mode.
  • FAT 64K clusters for NT- the option allows you to create a FAT16 partition with a 64K cluster, thereby increasing the size of the space from 2 to 4 Gb. In fact, only Windows NT 4.0 supports 64K clusters.
  • Don't hide destination primary partitions after copy/restore- this option is enabled by default. This is necessary so that Windows can boot from the hidden system partition.
  • Try to access the hard drive bypassing the BIOS- The parameter is required only for compatibility with older hardware. The option is only effective in DOS and Windows 95/98/ME. On Windows NT/2000/XP, as well as on Linux, it is useless.
  • Don't prompt for a label before deleting a partition- activate this option to suppress the request for a label for the partition being deleted (see the chapter "Deleting a partition"). By default, before deleting a partition, Partition Manager prompts you for its label (to eliminate the possibility of accidental deletion).
  • Automatically convert FAT16 to FAT32 when partition size increases- when the option is activated, PPM6 will convert FAT16 to FAT32 if the resulting partition size exceeds the maximum size (2 Gb) defined for FAT16. Since some operating systems (Windows NT 4.0 and earlier) do not support FAT32, the program will warn the user about the conversion.
  • Enable hardware failure protection mode- a very useful option, which is recommended to be checked. Enables disaster-proof mode. Let's say you are partitioning, and at this time the PC turns off due to a power failure. PPM6 will allow you to complete interrupted operations by keeping a log of the operations being performed. Naturally, the option slows down the speed of the program, but, as they say, God saves the best.
  • Number hard drives starting from 1- without enabling the option, the program uses numbering of hard drives and partitions starting from zero.
  • Disk surface checking mode - this option allows you to select three checking options:
    • No - verification disabled
    • Normal - one-time reading test
    • Thorough - three times read and write test
    The option is used when formatting, copying or moving a partition, resizing, or testing the surface.

Let's go through the neighboring bookmarks.

Interesting option. In case anyone doesn't know, NTFS and FAT16/FAT32 file systems use different standards for file names and timestamps (Created, Modified, and Last Access time). PPM6 uses regional settings to correctly convert the mentioned values, otherwise non-Latin file names could be damaged. The settings presented affect the conversion of the "FATxx=>NTFS" and "NTFS=>FATxx" file systems. Time tracking allows you to avoid a situation in which all files and directories on the converted partition become “older” or “younger” than the initially fixed temporary values. Setting the code page is required to correctly convert non-Latin names from Unicode to ANSI and vice versa.

Other bookmarks User And Language are not of interest for description, and we will consider the Operations tab separately.

Virtual, real operations

So, PPM6 is capable of performing operations in three modes.

  • Virtual Operations- the program emulates all user actions so that he can familiarize himself with the final result. This creates a list of changes. You can take steps back, you can give a command to take action.
  • Performing operations- in this mode the program performs an operation after each user command.
  • Performing only complex operations - in this case, all operations that require time to execute are performed in virtual mode, and fast operations are performed immediately. Quick operations include:
    • Hide/Show section;
    • Set the "Active"/"Inactive" flag for the section;
    • Connect section;
    • Set the section label.

    PPM6 Features

    Let's highlight the main features of the program.

    Creating partitions

    PPM6 is capable of creating the following file partitions: FAT-12/16/32, NTFS, Ext2, Ext3, ReiserFS, HPFS, L-Swap 1&2. The main features of the program are listed in the table:

    * PPM6 does not save data localized on Linux Swap partitions. The program simply deletes existing L-Swap partitions and creates new ones.
    ** Partitions of unknown types are always processed using the sector-to-sector algorithm (1:1 mode)

    Surface test

    Using a surface test, the program can detect "bad" sectors and mark them as unusable without placing data into those sectors.

    Cloning system disks

    PPM6 can be used as a system disk copier. The execution algorithm is the same as in Norton Ghost:

    1. Copy the required disk partition to a free partition on another hard drive.
    2. Turn off the computer.
    3. Disconnect the original hard drive.
    4. We boot the PC from the hard drive to which the source disk was copied.

    Once this procedure is complete, you can use both drives separately or together.
    I tried using PPM6 to copy my system disk with Windows XP and programs (9 Gb in total). The operation took me 8 minutes. As a result, I received a full working copy of my system partition and now, if anything happens, I can quickly restore Windows crashes or crashes.

    Redistributing free disk space

    With PPM6, you can expand/shrink any hard drive partition if adjacent partitions allow it. In this case, the data is saved intact, even if the neighboring partitions involved have a different cluster size. The only thing you should remember is that Windows cannot boot from an NTFS partition with a cluster size of 64K.

    The PPM6 disk is bootable. When performing this operation, the following menu appears:

    Unfortunately, our Linux version froze. There was no time to find out the reasons, and we booted using PTS DOS.

    In principle, the program allows you to use almost all the capabilities of the Windows version of PPM6, but the mouse cursor during operation planning slowed down noticeably more noticeably than when using the DOS version of the famous PartitionMagic 8.0 utility.

    We've only covered a portion of the program's features, but we think this is enough to give you an initial impression of PPM6.

    pros

    • The program meets all modern requirements for working with hard drive partitions;
    • Convenient, intuitive interface;
    • High quality localization;
    • Detailed instructions in Russian;
    • Low price.

    Minuses

    • Some limitations in the personal version compared to the professional edition;
    • Problems with working with the boot disk.

    conclusions

    Well, Paragon Partition Manager 6.0 turned out to be a very good program, one of the best in its class. The price of $4 is more than reasonable. However, there are no ideal programs, we haven’t used PPM6 very much, so you may find shortcomings and errors. Finally, we can only remind you of one good truth - rely on the program, but don’t make a mistake yourself (read: make copies of important files before any operations on the hard drive).

    Everyone knows that for Windows XP the maximum allowable hard drive size cannot exceed 1 TB. Using the utility, it became possible to connect a 2 TB hard drive. The hard drive is detected after GPT support is enabled.

    The application allows you to create a backup copy of a partition or the entire disk. Partition includes a tool such as Recovery Media Builder. It is necessary to create an environment that allows the system to recover in the event of serious failures.

    The Paragon Partition Manager utility can be downloaded for free. It should be noted that the program is installed on Windows 10. Installation does not require special knowledge of IT technologies.

    Flaws

    The Partition Manager program can be found among the frequently downloaded applications in its segment. Despite this, it should be noted that Paragon has some disadvantages. First of all, it should be noted that there are limitations in the free version of the product.

    Many users have noticed some shortcomings when working with the boot disk. There may still be shortcomings, but they are not serious, which means they can be ignored.

    How to download the utility

    To download the program, you must visit the official website located at “www.paragon.ru”. When the main page of the resource is loaded, you need to hover your mouse over the “Products” menu. After this, it is recommended to move the cursor to the inscription “Windows Products”. In the menu that opens, click on the “Partition Manager 14 Professional” section.

    In a second, the product description page will load. Now you need to click on the “Download” button. If you wish, you can click on the “Download trial version” link located in the left column.

    You can perform any permissible manipulations with disks. For example, delete, create or expand. Once all operations have been selected, you need to activate them. To do this, all you have to do is click on the “Apply” button.

    Conclusion

    The Partition Manager application is intended for home use, so you don't have to worry about damaging the OS. Of course, this does not mean that you need to press all the buttons at random. After reading the manual, you can start working with the hard drive. Do not forget that the free version has limited capabilities and can only be used for 30 days.

    Video review of Paragon Partition Manager

    In the case when a user installs a new hard drive on his computer or, on the contrary, sells an old one as unnecessary, then he simply cannot do without this program. After all, marking up disk space and “guaranteed” erasing information that was stored on the hard drive using Windows tools is quite a labor-intensive operation. And certainly not an option for a beginner. Therefore, you, dear reader, simply need to know where you can download Paragon hard disk manager for free. At the same time, instructions for using the mentioned software will not be superfluous.

    So, what kind of beast is this “Paragon Hard Disk Manager”?

    Without any exaggeration: this software is a kind of software tablet that will relieve a novice user from the “tough” headache: “How to divide, delete or merge the disk space of a hard drive?” An easier way to manage parameters and edit the hard drive, as they say, still needs to be looked for.

    Meanwhile, if after the trial period (30 days) the program seems, frankly, a little expensive to you, then it makes sense to use an alternative version, which is distributed absolutely free of charge ( you can read about the traditional method of managing hard disk partitions).

    Let's look at the obvious advantages of the program:

    • In order to correctly mark up disk space, you no longer need to go into the BIOS and create bootable flash drives - “Paragon Hard Disk Manager” divides the hard drive into sections of a given capacity directly in the Windows environment and does not require specialized knowledge from the user in the field of computer education.

    • With just a few clicks you can carry out the process of deleting a specific partition or completely format your hard drive.
    • When using the shareware - 15th version of Paragon - the user has the opportunity to use more than a dozen different editorial options, as they say, for every taste and for almost all cases of “HDD life”.
    • The versatility of Paragon is a clear interface and optional names of service buttons that are easily perceived by an ignorant user.

    Of course, without mistakes our life would become a very boring experience. However, Paragon will “clearly warn” about the dangers of inappropriate actions, and therefore there is no reason not to try this hard drive partition management tool, as they say, in action.

    However, remember, when using this manager you need to be extremely attentive and careful... In the hands of an unlucky amateur, even such a version (of the product mentioned above) as Paragon Partition Manager Free is a powerful software weapon that can completely damage the hard drive.

    However, the latter circumstance is the lot of the stupid of this world. You, dear reader, are in no danger, because you have these instructions that will help you understand the main points of interaction with the program. Which will ultimately only lead you to a positive result.

    Organizing disk space: a practical example

    So, you can download “Paragon Hard Disk Manager” from here . The official source requires you to go through a short registration and only after confirming the automatic email you will be able to download the demo version to your computer.

    • Place the marker over the disk partition that needs to be edited and use the right mouse button to call up the context menu.

    • Depending on what specific goal you are pursuing, choose one of the items presented.

    Note: in our case, the options “creating a partition and formatting a specific area of the HDD” are considered.

    • After you have completed all the editing steps, click on the “Apply” button.

    • Wait for all running processes to complete.

    • Finally, press the "Close" button.

    Summing up

    Of course, the examples presented in the photo are only a tiny part of the extensive list of functionality that the Paragon manager we touched upon has. At the same time, for many users, its free version “Paragon Partition Manager Free” will be quite sufficient, which can be downloaded here from here . However, if your interests in the field of computer technology are purely professional, then disk manager version 15 is the right choice. Iron health to your hard drive!

    Any user who wants to be on friendly terms with their computer cannot do without disk partitioning and data recovery utilities. The list of these programs is quite large, there is plenty to choose from. If you are thinking about purchasing a utility of this class for yourself or your organization, then take a closer look at Paragon Hard Disk Manager from the company (System Utilities), which just recently released a new version - 8.5. Among the many other advantages of this version is support for the new Microsoft Vista operating system.

    Paragon Hard Disk Manager 8.5 is a program that provides a full cycle of hard drive maintenance:

    • loading process management;
    • disk partitioning;
    • copy and restore operations;
    • ensuring system and data security;
    • decommissioning the disk.

    Paragon Hard Disk Manager 8.5 was released in two editions: and . We received a personal version for testing, and we will talk about its differences from the professional version below.

    Hard Disk Manager has a nice, modern interface, which, however, has some minor flaws. In particular, when creating partitions on large disks, the problem of specifying the exact dimensions of the disks arises. The size is set by a slider, which does not allow you to precisely set the required section, and there are no fields for numerical input of the size. This inconvenience is especially noticeable on modern high-capacity hard drives. And the larger the disk in volume, the more difficult it is to get into the required dimensions. Of course, you can then use the partition resizing function and adjust these sizes, but these are unnecessary gestures.

    And one more light remark. Changing types of work is implemented in the form of tabs in the main program window. The developers chose “Disk Panel” as the first tab. HDD marking work is important, but one-time. The main thing in Paragon Hard Disk Manager is to perform archiving operations in the current work, as well as restore data from the archive. Switching to a new tab is not a problem, but it would still be better to make the “File Manager” tab first. Or let the program open with the last tab used. Or maybe it's just me being too picky?

    Disk creation is done in a deferred manner. This means that the user can format the hard drive in virtual mode, without making real changes to the HDD. After creating the entire cycle of operations, you can check the correctness of the selected commands, and then click on one single “Apply” button, and the program will begin executing all the specified operations, which are performed quite quickly. After the reboot, all disks will become visible in the system.

    Now archiving. The archiving algorithm is typical: an object to be archived is selected, then a location to store the archive, then process parameters. And the archiving itself is performed. The new version of the personal edition adds the possibility of incremental archiving (that is, copying only those sectors that have been changed since the last copy was received). This significantly increases the speed of the archiving procedure, which is especially important during the daily operation of saving data.

    Over time, any personal user collects a whole package of archives of different dates. (What can we say about corporate use of the program?) Sometimes it can be difficult to figure out what can already be deleted and which copy needs to be kept. For the convenience of users, both editions (personal and professional) have the “Archive Database” function. Also in the new version it is possible to create an extensive text commentary for each of the archives. Now you can, without relying on your memory, record in text form all the necessary notes for each of the archives.

    There are also several important innovations in the data recovery mechanism. First of all, it should be noted that it is possible to restore data from an archive capsule without creating rescue disks. As you know, data recovery programs can restore backup copies even if the operating system is “dead.” But to do this, they need to enable booting from CD in the BIOS and have the rescue CD itself.

    When using Paragon Hard Disk Manager 8.5 for recovery, you no longer need to change the boot parameters settings, or worry about the safety of the recovery disk. And it’s no longer necessary to have a CD drive itself. Booting the computer and performing any recovery operations in the event of damage to the operating system or other boot problems can be carried out directly from the archive capsule.

    Another feature is the Shrink function. In some cases, it is necessary to restore data to partitions that are smaller in size than the original ones, but have enough space to restore the data itself. In this situation, data recovery was previously impossible. But now it can be done without difficulty.

    Restoring an entire partition is, in general, also a rare operation, just like disk partitioning. Much more often there is a need to restore some specific, private data, rather than a whole image. For such recovery, the partition archive connection function is used. With this archive connection, all further recovery operations can be performed using the Windows operating system - a simple copy function.

    All operations in the program are performed using wizards. Some of them can work in an advanced mode for advanced users. The wizards will help the user correctly and in the right sequence perform operations on working with the disk and working with archives.

    Professional version

    There are fewer changes in the professional version than in the personal version. Because some of the innovations (in particular, incremental copying) were already present in the professional edition. But here too the developers have something to brag about:

    • the "Cyclic Backup" function, which allows you to regularly create backup archives and automatically manage them;
    • Hot Backup technology for dynamic volumes.

    Summary

    Paragon Hard Disk Manager is a convenient and practical tool for working with hard drives and archiving data for users of any skill level. It can store both personal and enterprise data equally well. Particularly valuable innovations in the new version include the ability to restore data without creating a rescue disk, the incremental copy function, and support for the new Windows Vista operating system.
