A program for recovering deleted smartphone files. Recovering deleted files on your phone

Accidentally deleted a photo or contact from your smartphone? Happens to everyone. You can restore them using EaseUS programs MobiSaver. It works via PC and Android smartphone. Let's figure out how good the utility is, and whether it's worth breaking the smartphone's firmware for it.

Principle of operation

The program is installed on the computer, when USB help smartphone is connected. Its insides are scanned to find the remaining “strings”, thanks to which the deletion of contacts/photos/messages and generally any files can be prevented, or rather, canceled altogether.

To do this, you need to install superuser rights on your smartphone - in other words, Root. Without it, MobiSaver will not be able to gain such access and reach so deep into the file system to pull deleted items from memory.

You can learn more about Root and find out how to obtain the treasured superuser rights on the Internet, and without much difficulty. We will focus on the program and see exactly how it works.

Technical features

To search for data, MobiSaver can penetrate both the internal storage of the device and the SD card. The program supports Android 5.0 and higher, and among computers operating systems admits everything Windows versions, starting with Windows XP. According to the manufacturer, their brainchild is adapted to work with more than 6,000 models of Android smartphones.

How is everything going?

We will consider in detail and point by point the entire process of working with MobiSaver to determine how convenient and practical the technology is. And also to get acquainted with its glitches and bugs. Which, I note right away, are present.

When we start, we are greeted with a welcome screen like this. Yes, everything is in English, there is no Russian localization. But there is not much to read here. When you connect your smartphone to your computer, the program quickly determines the device model. In my case it is . So, if the device is connected and Root is activated on it, press the Start button.

By the way, almost immediately after pressing the program asks you to turn on the mode on the phone USB debugging and reconnect it. So it’s better to activate this mode in advance through the developers menu (activated by repeatedly clicking on the build version in the smartphone settings).

So, the connection of our device to the program begins. MobiSaver asks us to be patient, and for good reason – the connection takes about 15 minutes. And personally, my connection was interrupted once and I had to start again. But such a long wait will only occur the first time you connect the device to the program; the second time, everything is much faster.

When the smartphone and the program have become friends, you need to click “Allow” a couple of times in the requests coming to the phone, and voila - MobiSaver opens new screen and starts scanning the data on the smartphone.

All files are sorted into sections: pictures, audio, video, contacts, messages and documents. Last section- the most general one, with a bunch of different types of data mixed in, and the files there are the most difficult to understand. Information that has been lost from memory and that can be restored is displayed in red.

Scanning occurs, to put it mildly, slowly: in the right top corner The analysis is reported to take half an hour, but in practice it took almost two hours! And this despite the fact that the smartphone had a minimum of information: several third party applications, no more than ten contacts, a couple of photos, and everything else is purely systemic. It’s scary to imagine how much time the program will take to scan data if the device, especially with a large drive, is full to capacity. Although it may be that only 10 minutes are added on top - you can’t guess in advance.

And most importantly: if suddenly, during synchronization or even after it, MobiSaver loses connection with the device (which happened to me even with a normally connected UBS cable), then everything will have to start over.

So, data discovery is complete.

I checked off everything red (that is, deleted from the device) available in each partition, and began the recovery. At the same time, almost immediately I was informed that my phone was supposedly disconnected (although everything was connected), but the recovery was not interrupted. True, for the time being - literally after 5 minutes the application threw an error and closed safely, forcing me to once again start all over again.

And what’s surprising is that during the third (!) scan, MobiSaver began to detect much more data than in previous times. For example, at first in the “Gallery” he did not give me my photographs (neither deleted nor those that were still in memory), but only system pictures. And the third time, the utility began to find, along with my photos, any emoticons and other little things that were saved in internal memory in the form of images. System sounds also appeared.

The third attempt to collect information from the smartphone took a lot of time - about three and a half hours. But here something should be noted: the application allows you to start restoring found files at any time, that is, even before the full scan is completed. However, this does not guarantee that the scanning will continue later: because after the next recovery of deleted data, I had a crash again. The files, however, were saved on the computer, but the first time there was an error, they were not. How this even works, I still don’t understand.

One way or another, if the outcome is successful, a folder on the computer called “Export” awaits us, in which the restored files are located. And the recovery itself, after choosing specific files for him, lasts about 5-7 minutes.

conclusions

What is the output? EaseUS MobiSaver is a useful program that allows you to recover accidentally deleted data such as photos, contacts and messages. It is irreplaceable in cases where something really important has been deleted, and it needs to be returned by any available means.

Let's list the main advantages and disadvantages of the tool:

  • Full scanning of internal memory and SD cards installed in the smartphone.
  • All work consists of two clicks: first click the Start button to scan, then the Recover button to restore the selected files.
  • Clear and user-friendly interface with sections: you can immediately see where you need to go and what to restore.

What about the disadvantages?

  • General stability: the smartphone often disconnects from the program during scanning, various glitches and failures appear, and when connecting, I sometimes had to reboot both the phone and MobiSaver three times. In short, bugs for this program are not uncommon.
  • Strange scan results.
  • The need for Root rights. Yes, now it’s easy to get them in a couple of minutes using some application. But we must remember that Root automatically voids the smartphone’s warranty, and also penetrates very deeply into the system, which sometimes leads to errors and malfunctions. But the trick is that without root, the utility simply cannot function normally.

You can get a trial version for free, but for a full and long use you'll have to pay almost $40. A little expensive, of course, but it all depends on the degree of importance of the deleted files. The main thing is that MobiSaver achieves results, although not always on the first try.

If so, you can download the application using this link.

And check the contents of its folders. Read the instructions, there may be special notes that will help you better understand file system apparatus.

If the previous steps did not help, take the phone to the service center specialists. Using special programs, they will try the lost data.

note

If you decide that you will do the recovery yourself, then work only with the antivirus turned on. It is possible that the data was lost due to the action of a virus, and you can restore it again and make it operational.

So, in the window that opens you will see the following tabs: “Device selection”, “Photo search”, “Recovery”. To start searching for a deleted photo, first select the media by clicking on the appropriate tab. Before doing this, you can insert several media into the computer and select them all in the program, but this will take more time.

Once the media is selected, move on to the next tab, “Photo Search.” A list will open in front of you. Check the box next to the photo you want to restore. Click "Next". If you don't remember the name of the photo or you have several images with the same name, then look through them. To view, select the Show Thumbnails tab.

Photos selected. Remained last step– indicate where the photo should be saved. Click "Ok". Restoring your photos has begun. Do not restore photos to the same categories where they were. Since sectors can overwrite each other, a recovery error will occur.

Recover deleted phone numbers numbers you can do it yourself, without even resorting to the help of specialists service centers. Almost any company cellular communications today provides such services free of charge on its official websites.

This has happened to everyone. A fatal move - and the most important files disappear, leaving the phone's memory pristine. By mistake or accident, the files are permanently deleted. Or is not all lost?

Fortunately, no. There are several ways to recover lost documents using software. No one will give you a 100% guarantee, but there is a good chance of recovery. The sooner you start recovering files, the better.

How to return files?

There are 2 ways to recover data: using a PC and using software for an Android smartphone.

IN Lately the first method loses its relevance, since the phone OS changes with each version. To work via a PC, the phone must be able to operate in USB-mass storage mode. And the last ones Android versions may be deprived of this function. Therefore, let’s take a closer look at restoring documents from the phone itself.

What is needed for recovery?

Actually, nothing special is needed: just the smartphone itself and recovery software. But some of them require root rights to function. And upon receipt of these rights, the guarantee from the gadget disappears. If the warranty for your device has expired, then you have nothing to fear: you can safely set yourself superuser rights. But those who recently bought a mobile phone should think hard about the value of lost files and the need for root rights.

If you still decide to get root access, but have no idea how to do it, then don’t despair, here you can read. And now about the applications.

Dumpster – Recycle Bin

Its operating principle is similar to a computer basket. The program does not need root access, but you can only restore those files that were deleted after installing the program.

Erroneously deleted data can be easily recovered: the program opens and you select the files that need to be returned. That's all. If you need to return files that were previously deleted, then scroll further.

The screenshots below are an example of working with the program:

1. Delete the file. For me this is the application installer.

2. Open our Recycle Bin, click on the remote installer, select “Restore”.

3. Return to the file manager and see the recovered file. You can start to rejoice.

GT Recovery

This program will require you to root your smartphone. My smartphone has been rooted for a long time, so I will show you the entire file recovery process. There is, of course, a version that does not require superuser rights, but its potential is significantly inferior to the full version.

Actually, the recovery algorithm is almost no different from that described above.

1. Download from Google Play program, install it.

2. Launch it. Select the section from which the file was deleted (for example, contacts).

3. Start scanning.

4. As you can see, contacts have been found. Found and necessary files save.

That's all. Everything is easy and simple.

Undeleter

Here is another application for recovering lost files from your phone. It requires root access to work. You can't do without it.

Below detailed instructions with screenshots and results of the restoration.

2. The next step is to select the memory that you will scan (phone memory or flash card).

4. Now you need to decide which files need to be restored (audio, video, pictures, etc.). In the example, I chose pictures with the extension .gif.

5. This is what the memory scanning process looks like.

6. I did not perform a complete scan, but, as you can see, the files are being found. And quite successfully.

The programs presented are not the only ones that can help recover lost files, but, in my opinion, they are among the most effective. Actually, this is exactly what is shown in the screenshots.

Conclusion

To sum it up, I can reassure everyone: it is possible to recover deleted files. But it’s worth considering that the greatest chance of getting files back is to restore them immediately after deletion. Deleted files free up physical memory space, but file data is retained inside memory. As data is downloaded from the Internet and new files are recorded, information about erased files is completely destroyed. And after that already special programs won't help.

To avoid getting into this situation, I recommend that you periodically make a copy important files at least on a PC or USB drive. You can use cloud services, which are now in abundance (for example, Google Drive, Dropbox, Yandex.Disk and others). You can also use applications that create backups programs and files. Eg, Titanium Backup. The application is paid, but there is also a free version that is freely available, which will do an excellent job of creating backup copies.

I hope the article will help you avoid getting into an unpleasant situation, and if this happens, then return everything safe and sound.
