Limited Liability Company Rambler Internet Holding. Ooo "rich"
As of April 2019, Rambler Group is a 100% subsidiary of Rambler&Co Media, which is 80% owned by Alexander Mamut's ANN Holdings LLC and 20% owned by Cypriot Tekso Holdings Limited.
Texo Holdings also owns 100% of Rambler Internet Holding, which includes Afisha Company.
Trust Bank received as collateral shares in Rambler&Co Media LLC, Rambler Group LLC, Rambler Internet Holding LLC, and also in Afisha Company LLC.
Otkritie Bank in November 2018 announced the completion of the transfer to Trust Bank (on its basis a fund of non-core assets is being created) of assets worth 438 billion rubles. The debt of the Mamut group of companies was among the transferred assets, the RBC newspaper previously wrote.
Before its reorganization in 2017, Otkritie Bank was controlled by Otkritie Holding, one of the beneficiaries of which was A. Mamut.
It was previously reported that Rambler Group is negotiating with Sberbank on refinancing loans from Trust Bank. This comment was provided by Sberbank in February 2019, while denying information about plans to acquire Rambler Group.
The head of Trust Bank, Alexander Sokolov, said at the same time that there was progress on the issue of refinancing the debt of the Mamut group of companies. At the same time, he emphasized that the borrower himself is directly involved in this issue, and Trust is not involved. According to him, we are talking about a debt “worth billions of rubles.”

Rambler & Co does not disclose the holding’s full financial statements, but the SPARK-Interfax database publishes RAS indicators of the legal entities included in the holding. From these data it follows that almost all of the holding companies are unprofitable - with the exception of Lenta.ru and Gazeta.ru.
Thus, the revenue of Rambler Internet Holding LLC in 2015 amounted to 1.6 billion rubles. loss – 49 million rubles. 85% of the LLC's revenue comes from advertising on its sites. In addition, Rambler has a fairly high share of the largest buyer in its revenue structure - 43%. One of the holding’s former employees says that we are most likely talking about Yandex, whose search and contextual advertising system have been on Rambler projects since 2011.
2018: Renewal of personnelAs part of the merger of Rambler&Co, Cinema Park and Formula Kino cinemas, as well as the Azbuka-Atticus publishing group into a single structure of the Rambler Group, in March 2018 there was an update in the company's personnel structure.
- Marina Rossinskaya has been appointed director of business development for Rambler&Co, reporting directly to Dmitry Sergeev, who previously held this position and has now moved to the position of chief operating officer of Rambler Group.
- Andrey Tsyper has been appointed executive director for media at Rambler&Co.
- The position of managing director of the Rambler.ru portal was taken by Leonid Cherny.
- Ekaterina Tekunova has been appointed Product Director of Rambler&Co.
On December 13, 2017, Rambler&Co, Cinema Park and Formula Kino cinemas, as well as the Azbuka-Atticus publishing group announced their merger into the Rambler Group of companies under a single management. As a result, a cross-media ecosystem will be created, covering “all screens” at once: mobile, computer, Smart TV and cinema screens.
As a result, since 2018, Rambler Group has taken control of such assets as the Internet holding Rambler & Co (includes more than 35 media projects, including the Rambler.ru portal, online publications Lenta.ru, Gazeta.ru, Afisha.ru, Championat.com ), the cinema chains "Cinema Park" and "Formula Kino", the publishing group "Azbuka-Atticus" and the online cinema Okko.
Rambler.ru revenue increased by 10%Rambler.ru summed up the results of 2017, which resulted in an increase in EBITDA by 56% compared to 2016. The portal's revenue at the end of 2017 increased by 10% compared to the results of 2016. Revenue for the period from 2015 to 2017. overall increased by 45% compared to the results of 2014.
The total audience of the Rambler portal at the end of 2017 grew by 17% compared to the results of 2016 and amounted to 49 million unique users per month. The share of visits increased by 6% over the same period, and the total number of page views increased by 18% according to Yandex.Metrica.
After the relaunch of the mobile version of the Rambler portal, the share of the mobile audience grew by 78% year on year. The time spent by users on the site increased by 14% - from 6.34 to 7.21 minutes. The depth of visits to the portal increased by 42% over the year, which indicates an increased interest of users in Rambler.ru, they spend more time on the portal and more actively read content on different pages. In turn, the rejuvenation of the audience of the portal and Rambler.ru projects is evidenced by a 37% increase in the number of users under the age of 44 years.
The company also noted increased performance in transformed thematic media verticals. According to Mediascope Web Index data for December 2017 compared to December 2016:
- Updating the mobile versions of media verticals resulted in a 91% increase in the mobile audience;
- Rambler/Sport took second place in terms of weekly audience coverage on the Russian Internet among all sports resources;

- Search traffic on the media sections of the portal increased by 43%, while 47% of the audience returns to us weekly.
On September 25, 2017, it became known that the publication "Secret of the Firm" (part of Rambler&Co) had reduced its staff. The resource's editor-in-chief Nikolai Kononov wrote about this on his Facebook.
Kononov, congratulating readers of the publication on its 15th anniversary, announced significant changes - in particular, the dissolution of the visual department and his resignation from the post of editor-in-chief in October. After him, this position will be taken by his current deputies Daria Cherkudinova and Oleg Khokhlov. At the same time, Kononov noted that the reason for the cuts is “purely economic.”
In addition, Kononov announced the upcoming redesign of “The Secret of the Firm” and that the resource will refuse to publish news.
At the same time, as Vedomosti calculated, the publication's staff will be reduced to five people instead of the current 15. According to the newspaper's sources, this was due to the fact that the budget of Sekret Firmy was cut four times.
Mamut bought out Potanin’s share and became 100% owner of the company 2016 The company’s key assets were pledged to Otkritie Bank, in which A. Mamut is one of the owners100% of the shares of Rambler Internet Holding LLC were pledged to Otkrytie Bank until March 31, 2020, as follows from the data of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRLE). This was done as security for obligations under a loan agreement signed in July 2016. One of the beneficiaries of the bank at that time was the owner of Rambler Alexander Mamut.
Rambler Internet Holding LLC is one of the main legal entities of the Rambler & Co holding, which until the end of 2016 was owned on a parity basis by Alexander Mamut and Vladimir Potanin (since January 2017, 100% of the company is owned by Mamut). This LLC accounts for a significant portion of the holding’s revenue; it manages the Rambler.ru portal and other Internet projects.
From the Unified State Register of Legal Entities it follows that Otkritie Bank first approved a credit line for Rambler Internet Holding LLC in September 2014 (then the loan agreement was extended in April 2015) - shortly after Mamut began managing the holding. Otkritie is not a foreign bank to Mamut; he is its minority shareholder (owns 6.7% of the bank through the Otkritie Holding company).
However, a record of the availability of a credit line to Rambler appeared in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities only in August 2016. A person close to the shareholders of Rambler & Co says that the company had previously received loans from Otkritie Bank, but this year the collateral scheme was changed. This is due, among other things, to the restructuring of the holding in order to bring the ownership structure into compliance with the new Russian legislation (it requires that the media be under the control of Russian companies), explains Vedomosti’s interlocutor, without disclosing details.
Rambler & Co representative Sofya Ivanova confirmed that the company has a loan from Otkritie, but did not disclose its size. The money, she said, was raised to replenish working capital. One of the holding’s former employees says that the company attracted a credit line from the bank for several billion rubles two years ago. A bank spokesman declined to comment.
According to the Expert RA rating agency, in the third quarter of 2016, Rambler Internet Holding LLC converted foreign currency loans into rubles. A person close to the holding confirms this.
Expert RA notes the high level of debt load of Rambler Internet Holding LLC and the inability to take out an additional loan against collateral.
Hackers claimed access to data of almost 1 million Rambler usersThe Leakedsource website, specializing in information security, reported receiving a database with almost 1 million Rambler.ru user data that was stolen as a result of a hacker attack on February 17, 2012.
Leakedsource is a search engine for hacked accounts. According to the resource, each of the 98,167,935 database entries contains a login or email address, password, ICQ number and other internal data. This Leakedsource database was submitted by a user [email protected], which previously provided the database for the Last.fm service, also hacked in 2012.
Leakedsource claims that the database is real: its data was verified with the help of xakep.ru journalist Maria Nefedova. Three of her friends, whose data was in the resulting database, were sent the first part of their passwords, and they completed them with one hundred percent accuracy by entering the remaining 4-6 characters.
The passwords of Rambler.ru users were stored in the public domain, LeakedSourse claims. The top five most popular ones included “asdasd”, occurring more than 700 thousand times, “asdasd123” and “12345”, occurring more than 400 thousand times, as well as “000000” and “666666”.
Rambler & Co said that data leakage will not pose problems for users, Vedomosti writes. “There is no problem here: this database surfaced back in 2014, after analyzing it, we discovered that 4 million active users were compromised - all of them, of course, had their passwords changed,” the publication quotes Rambler & Co representative Sofia Ivanova. According to her, some percentage of passwords may still be suitable, since users use passwords like “123456”, which can be cracked by dictionary search. She also did not rule out the possibility that after a forced password change, the user could enter the old one again. In August 2016, it became known that Rambler&Co was rebooting the Rambler Real Estate project, fired the manager and disbanded the team.
Evgenia Vladimirova was fired from her position as head of Real Estate. Instead, the project was headed by the creator of the AM.ru automobile classification, Oleg Golubtsov. At the same time, Golubtsov continued to lead AM.ru, combining two positions. He intends to make a new “Real Estate” “from scratch” with the AM.ru team in St. Petersburg. It is assumed that the project will become a classic classifier - like “Cyan” or “Avito”. This plan is not new - Rambler&Co announced it on February 3, 2015.
At the same time, only in mid-June 2016 was the new web version of “Real Estate” relaunched. A mobile application was also prepared for release, but was never released, the source says. It was made by former developers of Cyana, who came to Real Estate in the fall of 2015. The project team has now been disbanded. The developers, about thirty people, were transferred to other projects of the holding. At least one iOS developer goes to Lenta.ru. The fate of the rest of the team, including product scientists, is still unknown.
The holding already relaunched Real Estate in February 2015. Immediately after the relaunch, at the end of February, the commercial director of the Finance and Real Estate vertical, Alexander Fomenkov, left (Rambler spoke about this only on the last day of summer). Six months after the relaunch, Rambler&Co bought the AgentOn SaaS platform for real estate agents. Now it has integrated with Real Estate. Sergey Smirnov, the head of AgentOn at the time of the sale, left the project in February 2016. In fact, the AgentOn and Real Estate teams were merged at that moment, and legally all employees later moved to the new Rambler-Real Estate LLC, created in June 2016 of the year. According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the general director of this legal entity is Rafael Abrahamyan, executive director of the holding since July 2015. However, in fact, the head of the Rambler Real Estate project reports to the management of the Rambler.ru portal - now it is Marina Rossinskaya (since July 2015) - and he, in turn, reports directly to Dmitry Sergeev, executive director for development of Rambler&Co.
An acquaintance of the previous executive director of the holding, Dmitry Malov, says that he was also the initiator of the purchase of AgentOn. However, the purchase took place in July, but by August Malov left his position and was replaced by Abrahamyan. Probably, with the change of management of the holding, the development plan for Real Estate also changed.
Source "Swarm!" claims that Dmitry Sergeev put pressure on the management of Real Estate. In particular, he spoke rudely to Evgenia Vladimirova, and also did not allocate money to the project for marketing. Sergeev insisted that marketing services be purchased from his own sister, who works for a small agency called Tactio. Previously, when Sergeev was in charge of the Championship, it was known that he used the services of Tactio.
Golubtsov came from the “old Rambler” (not yet a holding company), then the creator of AM.ru, an automobile classified, which is not the second or even the third on the market. Rambler&Co acquired this project in January 2016. However, Oleg Golubtsov has been managing Rambler's automotive services since July 2015. According to SimilarWeb, AM.ru is 20 times behind Drom.ru in terms of traffic, more than 10 times behind Avto.ru, and even almost twice as bad as Quto.ru, which is also part of Rambler&Co. Does Golubtsov have the opportunity to make a classic classification on the topic of real estate when Avito, Cyan and other players have already gained a foothold in the market? The answer will not appear soon.
2015: Websites Kanobu.ru and Ag.ru leave the holdingIn December 2015, it became known that the Rambler&Co holding and the gaming publication Kanobu would divide joint assets and cease to be partners, Vedomosti writes, citing its sources. The founder of Kanobu, Gadzhi Makhtiev, confirmed the information: “This process has begun, it will be completed early next year.”
Makhtiev told Roem.ru that he would retain the media part of the project - the sites Kanobu.ru and Ag.ru - and the rights to the trademark. The holding will receive the service part of the company - the gaming portals epic.kanobu.ru and games.kanobu.ru. Makhtiev clarifies that the subprojects will remain on the same domains.
Previously, the publication was looking for an investor, but now it is not going to do this, Makhtiev tells Roem.ru. Now the sole owner of the publication will be Makhtiev himself.
2014 Audience decline over the year by 15%Attendance at Rambler&Co resources is falling. The monthly audience of all the holding’s websites, according to TNS Web Index, from April 2013 to April 2014 decreased by 15%, from 38.8 million to 33.6 million people.
At this time, Rambler&Co earns ten times less than Yandex and, according to TNS, ranks fifth in Russia among Internet holdings in terms of traffic to its resources. But in the early 2000s, Rambler was the leading search engine on the Runet and was ahead of Yandex in terms of audience size and revenue.
At this time, Rambler News generates traffic to the pages of partner media, second only to Yandex.News and Google News. Another idea of the Molibog team also promised significant success - to combine the Price.ru website with the Begun contextual advertising system and other Rambler services into an e-commerce platform.
31.6% - this is how much the audience of the main page of the Rambler.ru portal fell in April 2014 compared to April 2013. Other leaders in the fall were Rambler-mail (-21.4%) and LiveJournal (-16.1%)
From March 2013 to March 2014, judging by the TNS Web Index, traffic to Gazeta.Ru and Lenta.ru increased (due to increased reader interest in events in Ukraine), as well as the website Championat.com (the Olympics helped). But the popularity of the Afisha.ru portal has increased due to the launch of new projects. For example, in October 2013, three new Afisha media projects were launched: “Afisha-Air” (culture news), “Afisha-City” (city life news) and “Afisha-Wave” (music). The goal, says Afisha product director Ilya Krasilshchik, was to add to the usual audience of Afisha.ru, who visit the site for movie and theater schedules and reviews of plays and films, those who are interested in news. By March 2014, three media projects had accumulated almost 900,000 unique users (visiting only these sections on Afisha.ru), that is, a quarter of all Afisha.ru traffic.
Change of name to Rambler&CoOn April 15, 2014, the company "Afisha-Rambler-Soup" of Alexander Mamut and Vladimir Potanin changed its name to Rambler&Co, as indicated in the letter that company employees received.
The name was chosen in a competition in which company employees participated.
In total, more than 200 options for the name of the new company were proposed. Rambler&Co was offered by three employees independently of each other, the letter clarifies. The corporate website of the merged company was also launched.
Mamut himself headed the companyWhen the presentation of Zakharov's strategy took place, it disappointed everyone. Employees said that in a year of work, Zakharov could come up with something more serious than beautiful pictures and a new Rambler&Co logo. Some managers submitted their resignations. “I’m tired of all this confusion,” one of the project managers who resigned told SF. The situation in the company was heating up.
Rambler&Co representative Sofya Ivanova assures that in the year that has passed since the merger of Afisha-Rambler and SUP Media, the company has managed to do a lot. Ivanova considers the most significant results to be the unification of previously disparate services of commerce, marketing, and personnel into single structures, the launch of three Afisha projects, the relaunch of LiveJournal, the update of Championat.com and the expansion of the service for the sale of film and concert tickets "Rambler-Kassa" (was a "button" on Afisha.ru has become a separate aggregator). However, these achievements cannot be credited to the new management of Rambler&Co. According to Ilya Krasilshchik, Afisha’s media projects were conceived even before the merger. The Rambler-Kassa service was launched in 2011 by Molibog’s team, and the need to restart LiveJournal was discussed long before the merger.
Timchenko's dismissal from the post of editor-in-chief of Lenta.ruPetr Zakharov was previously responsible for promoting Apple products in the EMEA region and worked in London. There he and Mamut met.
The company's media assets were separated into a separate structure. It was supervised by Yulia Minder, who was appointed deputy general director of the united company for media resources. At the same time, Minder will resign as CEO of Lenta.ru.
The letter from the general director emphasized that we are only talking about creating a structure that will manage the business of the media part of the company (publications “Afisha”, “Lenta.ru”, “Gazeta.ru”, “Championat.com”). There are no plans to merge media assets; the editorial policy and business of each publication will develop independently of each other.
Zakharov’s other deputies were also named - on organizational, financial, commercial and other issues. In particular, the appointment of Alexey Goreslavsky to the position of Deputy Director for External Communications was announced.
Deputy General Director for products of the merged company (Rambler, Kanobu, LiveJournal.com, Quto, Redigo, Letidor) was appointed later. Until the appointment of a deputy for products, Petr Zakharov will personally supervise this area.
The letter from the general director also informs about the resignation of Nikolai Molibog, who held the position of general director of the Afisha-Rambler company. According to Molibog himself, his departure is due to the fact that in the new company there was no “position that objectively suited all parties” for him. Following Nikolai Molibog, the company's executive director, Ekaterina Kruglova, announced her resignation.
Key positions in Afisha-Rambler projects were taken by people from SUP Media, and product development was headed by another Apple native, Steingrimur Muri Arnason. But the growth in the number of users at the beginning of 2013, caused by the relaunch of the Rambler.ru portal, had to be supported by marketing activities. However, all events were frozen, and site traffic fell again.
“Zakharov is a smart, erudite manager,” says one of the company’s former top managers. “But he was used to working in a large company, where everything was organized, and believed that everything would happen by itself. And with what resources, with what money, he I wasn't interested."The problem was also that due to the merger of the two companies, all the usual business processes were disrupted: from arranging business trips and purchasing office supplies to signing contracts with content suppliers.
The audience of the entire holding was steadily declining, but several projects continued to gain popularity, despite the organizational chaos.
Merger with SUP Media of Vladimir Potanin, new general director - Petr ZakharovOn March 28, 2013, the investment group A&NN of Alexander Mamut and the Interros holding of Vladimir Potanin decided to merge the assets of SUP Media and the United Company of Afisha and Rambler into a single holding. As a result of the transaction, Mamut received the status of a managing shareholder and the post of chairman of the board of directors of the holding. Former Apple top manager Pyotr Zakharov became the general director of the updated structure.
Management estimates that the new company's audience will be more than 35 million unique users. According to this indicator, it will become third in the Russian-language segment of the Internet.
“The merger will lead to the creation of a new company - the third largest audience in the Russian-language segment of the Internet. The company will become one of the leading providers of online services and the main source of information about socio-political, business, cultural and sporting events in the Runet - both on computer screens and on smartphones, both in text and video format,” said Alexander Mamut. At the end of 2012, the main page of Rambler.ru was relaunched. And immediately there was a significant surge in traffic: the monthly audience jumped from 8.05 million unique visitors in December 2012 to 12.07 million in January 2013, and Rambler News traffic increased by 54% over the same period. But the management of Afisha-Rambler did not have time to complete the new initiatives: as the source put it, “the rocket was shot down on takeoff.”
2011 Refusal from our own search engine and transition to Yandex searchIn January 2011, it became known that the United Company of Afisha and Rambler would replace its search with a partner search, said several people close to this company and its partners. Negotiations have been going on since the fall of 2010 with Yandex and Google, this was confirmed by managers close to them.
By that time, the Rambler search engine occupied only fifth place among the company's projects in terms of monthly audience - after the main page of the portal, Rambler News, Lenta.ru and Rambler Mail.
"Afisha is just a magazine on the Internet, and search is a server factory. People from Afisha, as soon as they realized that they would annually spend many millions of dollars on servers and at the same time they would always be criticized for their small market share, here “They closed the search,” said Igor Ashmanov, general director of Ashmanov and Partners.A Yandex representative said that the company is interested in large sites with good traffic. But, most likely, search from Google will be installed on the portal, said a source at Rambler's partner company: the company recently approved this partnership. The agreement has not yet been signed, he says and is confirmed by a source close to Google. The general director of the merged company, Nikolai Molibog, claimed that a decision on the search had not yet been made. He confirmed the fact of negotiations with Yandex and Google.
An official familiar with the discussion of the deal emphasized: in 2008, it was about the sale of a Russian asset (“Begun”), which would give foreigners an advantage in the Russian online advertising market; now the assets are not being sold.
Mail.ru, which refused to cooperate with Yandex, had no problems installing Google search. A high-ranking official said then that the authorities do not interfere in negotiations between Mail.ru and Google. But people close to both sides of that deal said that Mail.ru shareholders received approval from the Kremlin.
At the same time, Rambler and Afisha will launch three new products: an Internet service and applications for mobile devices from Afisha-World, aimed at travelers (guidebooks and recommendations for visiting attractions), the automobile magazine Motor.ru and a service for selling tickets to cinema "Rambler-kassa". Movie tickets are sold on partner sites, where the user can also read reviews, says a Rambler representative. For websites, this is a way to offer additional services and monetize content, and for cinemas, it is an opportunity to increase ticket sales.
The company’s strategy is to combine the media expertise of Afisha and Lenta.ru (part of Rambler) with the technological capabilities of Rambler, Molibog told Vedomosti: media projects form user preferences, and Rambler services help make a choice and purchase a service or product. There is logic in this strategy, because now there is no such large service on the RuNet and Rambler could finally find a niche, says Troika Dialog analyst Anna Lepetukhina. Creating services based on Afisha’s media products is a good idea, she believes, since Afisha has a large and very loyal audience that trusts its recommendations.
Purchase of the gaming portal AG.ru from VimpelComIn December 2011, the Rambler-Games company acquired the gaming portal AG.ru from VimpelCom, the audience of which, according to the Rambler Top 100 counter, in October 2011 amounted to more than 2 million people.
The Absolute Games resource, opened in 1998, is one of the oldest gaming sites in Russia and contains the largest catalog of games in the Russian language. The acquisition will allow Rambler to increase the audience of hardcore players, the total number of whom in Russia, according to the general director of Rambler Games, is 7 million people.
According to him, taking into account the Kanobu Network gaming network acquired in June 2011, more than 5 million of them will now use services owned by the company. Rambler expects that by 2015 the audience of online games on the RuNet will reach 25 million people.
2010 Molibog from Afisha replaces Turishcheva as general directorOn July 28, it became known that Rambler CEO Olga Turishcheva was leaving this post. Turishcheva will join the board of directors of the company that merged Rambler and Afisha, and in this position will oversee the merger of these assets. A “single digital platform” will be created on the basis of Rambler.
The merged company was headed by the current general director of Afisha, Nikolai Molibog. The positions of product director and executive director of the new company were taken by two deputy general directors of Afisha - Dmitry Stepanov and Ekaterina Kruglova. Before this, Stepanov advised Rambler on strategy for several months, sources close to this company previously said.
“Turischeva established operational management - introduced annual planning, normal business processes. And we were product guys. We tried one information product, if it didn’t work, we launched another,” said Nikolai Molibog, who worked in the merged company for three years. Sale of the magazine "Big City" to the Dozhd holdingIn September 2010, the Bolshoy Gorod magazine was acquired by the Dozhd media holding, owned by Alexander Vinokurov and Natalya Sindeeva, from the merged company Rambler-Afisha.
Profmedia merges Rambler and AfishaIn the summer of 2010, Profmedia decided to merge Rambler with its other asset, the Afisha publishing house. Afisha, in addition to the magazine of the same name, had a popular information and entertainment website Afisha.ru with a monthly audience of 3.6 million people (as of December 2010).
2009 Delisting from LSE- On December 31, Rambler delisted from the London Stock Exchange (LSE). Since its IPO in 2005, Rambler has fallen in price by half.
- The company's capitalization as of November 2009 is $72 million.
- Troika Dialog acquired Rambler shares, resulting in a 3.03% stake. The transaction took place on December 23, 2009, a few days before the delisting of Rambler shares from the AIM platform of the London Stock Exchange (held on December 31). On the last day of trading, December 30, a Rambler share cost $5.66, and the Troika stake cost $2.64 million. Before this, Rambler shares were bought by its largest shareholder, Prof-Media. In November - December 2009, this holding increased its stake in Rambler from 54% to 88%, buying about 24% for approximately $31 million ($6 per share), this provided the possibility of delisting.
In 2009, Mark Opzumer left the post of general director and was replaced by ex-director of marketing at VimpelCom Olga Turishcheva. She took on operational management, which had been neglected by her predecessors for several years.
For the first six months, Olga Turishcheva figured out what 400 Rambler employees were doing. She recalls rounding up employees and asking them about their job responsibilities. Just like Tsar Ivan the Terrible in the film “Ivan Vasilyevich Changes Profession”: “Whose will you be?”
“When I came to Rambler, the company was divided into separate principalities. How it functions as a whole was unclear. I was invited to develop the Rambler strategy, but I had to deal with operational management,” recalled Olga Turishcheva. For example, she formed a product committee in the company, where products being prepared for launch began to be discussed. Previously, there was no committee - decisions were made by a triumvirate of protagonists: financial director Nikita Sergienko, director of project development and development Arkady Moreinis and director of corporate development Vitaly Rudenko. Arkady Moreinis soon left Rambler. And the stumbling block for the new director was again the search engine, whose monthly audience from January 2009 to July 2010 decreased from 5.9 million to 5.2 million people. This, in turn, negatively affected the volume of income from contextual advertising.
