The other day, YouTube users saw a new site design that many people did not like (see the picture below). In this regard, the question of how to return back to the old Youtube design has become relevant. It is worth noting that the appearance of YouTube has not changed so dramatically for more than 12 years. Maybe that's why so many users poorly perceived what they saw. Of course, everything new is perceived at first with a certain amount of skepticism, because everyone is used to the appearance of the resource. The first thing that catches your eye is the optimization of the space on the main page, it has become larger, and the gaps between the videos have become larger. And, of course, the main change is the new Youtube logo (highlighted in green at the bottom).

Now the play button is in front of the name, in which "Tube" is not selected, as it was before. According to the designers themselves, this should help to play videos of any extension more correctly. In their new "Material Design" or "Material Design", as the developers call the new concept, everything is optimized for more convenient use. We described the visual changes to the main YouTube page, which caused a lot of criticism. Users write on social networks that they are not left feeling upset about the innovations. Many talk about the degradation of their favorite resource, some even use obscene language in relation to designers. Maybe, while this very design is a bit damp, maybe something is not working correctly yet, some users generally say that YouTube has stopped working for them. But there is no need to blame the administration for everything, it is quite possible that Youtube's poor performance is caused by some other factors. Which ones, exactly. Consider another big innovation, which can be attributed to both design changes and functional ones. Now users have the ability to change the theme on YouTube, or rather, you can now switch to night mode, which is not so hard on the eyes in the dark. For this:

• Click on the avatar.
• Select the option to enable/disable night mode.
• Toggle the slider as shown in the image below.
• The site will immediately switch to dark colors.

Changes have also been made to the mobile version of YouTube. In order to see the new items, you need to update the mob. application. Enter your app store, tap the update icon (1 - bottom). Update YouTube as shown in picture 2 below. Now launch a new YouTube (see 3 below). The mobile version now has the ability to view videos in vertical orientation, change the playback speed, and rewind videos by double-tapping the screen.
