The Internet is full of these articles about creating your own chat and installing it on the server, but in each article there are some differences in creating a chat, such as the method of uploading a database to the server, launching a bot chat, creating services in the admin panel.

In this article I described the creation of a chat on fashion by dim@x & warik(which version is not important). Other chat mods are installed on the server and created in the same way as in this mod.

List of programs that we will need to create and install a chat:

1. WinSCP - download from server

2. Chat bot folder — download from server(Version dated 01/06/2012)

After we received the server, go to the phpmyadmin panel.

To do this, follow the link http://12.12.12.12/phpmyadmin/, Where 12.12.12.12 — ip of your server that you just ordered. If the link opens, enter your username and password. After we have successfully logged into phpmyadmin, we change the password. To do this, go to the section Privilege:

Enter a new password. By changing the password, we will be taken to the phpmyadmin login page. Let's re-enter the root login and new password.

Now let's create the chat database. The name can be anything.

After creation, let's move on to importing the database - to do this, click on our database in the left column and click the import button. After that, select the file db.sql from the folder with the bot.( folder with bot - templates - db.sql). Click OK. Let's wait until the database loads (1-2 minutes).

After successfully downloading the database, all we have to do is download the bot itself to the server and launch it.

To do this, let's go to our server via WinSCP. Let's upload the folder with the bot to the root directory. Let's open this folder. Let's find the port.xml file in the folder and open it (it opens as usual - with two clicks of the left mouse button). Let's find a line in it 6666 and replace 6666 to other numbers, the best if it is 5 digits (this procedure is not necessary). After the change, close the file window. The program will save the changes automatically.

After that let's go to the folder lib and find the file there icqlib.properties. Let's open it and find the line IP_ADDRESS=0.0.0.0

We will replace 0.0.0.0 to the IP address of our server (if you enter the IP address incorrectly, the chat users simply will not access the network).

Now go to the root folder of the bot and run WinSCP console(the console is launched by the keyboard shortcut ctrl + T). When you start the console, there should be exactly the root folder with the bot, where the file is located jb.jar, otherwise the bot will not start!!! Enter the command in the console java -jar jb.jar. After this, WinSCP freezes - this is normal. Force close the program.

After that, go to the bot control panel using the link http://12.12.12.12:6666/, Where 12.12.12.12 — our server IP address, 6666 - the numbers that we entered in the file port.xml

Enter your login and password - the standard login and password are admin(login and password). At the top we see the panel settings:

Let's go to main settings. Change login and password. If you don’t know what settings and what other settings are needed for, then leave everything unchanged.

Next we go to Chat management — Create a new chat.(picture next to the main settings). Enter the chat name (any). Click save. After that, you have a chat service on the main page of the panel. Go to the section Host its settings.

Password - enter the password we set in phpmyadmin.

Database name— enter the name of the database that we created (without errors!!!).

Launch a chatbot - put a tick here. Click save. Restart the admin panel by clicking on the yellow button at the top of the panel. Ready! Add UIN to the chat, reboot it and use it!
