What to do if your twitter is blocked

Upon arrival home after the May holidays, an unpleasant surprise awaited me. One of my twitter accounts got banned. At the same time, you can enter your account, only at the top there is a message: “The account has been suspended. Your @ account is currently suspended. For more information, visit the Suspended Accounts page."

Blocks Twi-accounts by a robot designed to recognize violations of the rules. However, even if there are no violations, he can identify them erroneously. Often mistakenly blocked accounts are automatically unblocked, but you should not rely on this. It didn't happen in my case.

What actions to take if a twitter account is blocked? First, you need to visit this very page dedicated to suspended accounts and fill out the form in English.

In field " subject"(Subject) must be written" Please unlock my account" or " Please unsuspend my account“, which is essentially the same thing (“please unblock my account”).

We write a message like this:
dear person,
Please unsuspend my account @specify_your . I met the rules of twitter.

(Dear person,
Please unblock my account @specify_your . I follow the rules of twitter.)

You can, of course, write simpler, without Dear Person, but we are civilized people, not from the wild forest. Since it is so accepted in English-speaking countries, we will write like this, we will not fall apart.

Have you sent a request? Now we go to the e-mail specified in the form - an automatic letter should come to it. Unlike other emails sent by a robot, this one needs to be answered as the email says: Responding to this email will reopen this ticket and put your ticket in queue for support. If you do not reply, your case will be closed.” (“Responding to this email will place your request in a support queue. If you do not respond, your case will be closed.”) Repeat what you wrote in the message in the form, no more is required.

And now, while waiting for a response from technical support, it doesn’t hurt to find out if there was a violation of the Twitter rules:
- Mass following - you can't follow more than 200 people a day, you can't unfriend all the followers and follow again. The robot records these actions. In my case, there were no more than ten followers per day.
- Spam - both in the Twi-feed and in private messages. I had an automatic private message set up for those who followed me, inviting them to visit my site. Just in case, I deleted the corresponding application - you never know, suddenly someone complained of spam.
- Earnings on advertising on Twitter. Twitter support is in English, it is unlikely that anyone will understand the sites to which the links lead, but still ...
- Copying other users' tweets without retweeting.
- Abuse of answers (which are with the @ sign).
- You can not impersonate another person (well, this is not my case at all).

Review your tweets. Those that may cause complaints from support should be removed. Fortunately, among the links that were on my twitter, there were none that were marked as spam by twitter support. It is advisable to review the applications and disable all unnecessary and related to earnings (then they can be restored). After the Twi account is put in order, it remains to patiently wait for a response.

About two weeks later, my twitter was unblocked, and I received an email from a support person who wrote that my account was blocked by mistake and apologized.
