Apple spring presentation: budget iPad and software for education. Apple spring presentation: budget iPad and software for education Unexpected announcement of iMac Pro

WWDC 2017 - what's up, Apple?

Yesterday in California (USA) another presentation of Apple took place, which our team closely followed. Today, we have selected the most interesting and important new products for you and are pleased to tell you about them in this article. Let's start in order:

iOS 11 | iPhone

Perhaps the most anticipated by millions of users and The news is an update to the famous iOS operating system, and as expected, it was presented. The operating system is already available to developers (and there are no less than 16 million of them registered), a public beta version will be available a little later, and only in the fall, after the presentation of the iPhone, the update will reach all supported devices:

So, what's new in iOS 11:

  • Now iMessage is synchronized via iCloud between all Apple devices: iPhone, iPad, MacBook. Another important iMessage update is the possibility of financial transactions between users using Apple Pay;
  • The Siri voice assistant has been updated - now her voice is more pleasant, she has learned to translate texts from English into Chinese, French, German, Italian and Spanish (other languages will be supported a little later), and is also improving herself using machine learning;
  • The AppStore design has been completely redesigned. The store will be divided into three categories: Today (apps of the day), Apps and Games. Now you can see the functionality of the application directly in its description, without downloading the application itself;

  • The control center has also been redesigned - it doesn’t look ordinary, but you and I know that it has probably become even more convenient than before... True, again without an LTE switch. Classic;

  • The new H.265 codec increases the compression of captured photos and videos by 2 times, which makes them even better;

iOS 11 | iPad

Separately, it is worth noting the iOS update for iPad: it brings several more changes, significantly expanding the functionality of the tablet and making it more convenient:

  • Added a full-fledged dock panel for applications, like on a Mac, which can be hidden when not needed;
  • Starting today, the File file manager is available in the AppStore, allowing you to access the tablet’s file system;
  • Added a document scanner and the ability to draw on notes using the Apple Pen;

iPad Pro 10.5"" and iPad Pro 12.9""

Few people expected to see the new iPad Pro version at the presentation, and if they did, it’s unlikely that they would be like this - there were no significant changes in the design of the tablet, except that the frames were reduced by 40%, but they still remain by no means small. But we can look “into the depths” of the device, and there we will see a new six-core A10X processor and an updated 12 megapixel camera with optical stabilization, which, as Apple claims, shoots no worse than the iPhone 7. How it turns out in practice, we still have to find out. We are pleased with the new set of peripheral devices supported by the new iPad and created specifically for it:

By the way, for greater autonomy, the iPad can now independently adjust the screen refresh rate. When appropriate, the frequency can be reduced to 24 Hz. Maximum screen refresh rate120 Hz achieved thanks to ProMotion technology.

If you're already wondering how much the new iPad will cost:

iMac and MacBook. Even cooler. Even faster.

The new iMac and MacBook were presented at the presentation and they are truly worthy of special attention.

The new all-in-one PCs from Apple are equipped with the 7th generation of Intel Kaby Lake processors, all previously available connectors on the case are retained, with the exception of two new ThunderBolt 3 added, the 21.5" version has 32GB of RAM, and the 27" version has as much as 64GB.

Depending on the modification, the new iMac will be equipped with graphics processors from AMD - Radeon 550, 560, 570, 570, 575 and 580. Among other things, the presented iMacs feature Fusion Drive technology with support for up to 2TB of physical memory. As for the cost of the updated monoblocks, they are already available for order and the starting price for the simplest configuration is $1099.

iMac Pro is the fastest iMac in the company's history - an 18-core processor, support for up to 4TB SSD, Radeon Vega graphics, 22 TF performance and a redesigned cooling system. Price - from $4999 (for the version with an 8-core processor).

MacBook laptops have not undergone significant changes - the Pro version received Intel Kaby Lake processors and 50% faster SSD drives, and the Air line received even fewer changes, but remained on sale. The starting price for the MacBook Pro starts at $1,299.

MacOS High Sierra. Modest and tasteful.

Not only the mobile operating system received an update, but also the desktop one. There are also not many changes in it compared to the previous version, but they all deserve attention:

  • Thanks to the use of neural networks, the Safari browser now works 80% faster than Google's Chrome, and has learned to block the automatic start of videos on some sites;
  • Apple File System support - accelerated work with files, encryption and protection against data loss;
  • Metal 2 graphics allows you to create virtual reality content (the same system has improved iMac performance);
  • New codec integrated H.265, which is 40% more productive than H.264;

  • The pre-installed Photo application has expanded its functionality and is closer to the level of Photoshop. There are also new options for navigating the application;

Similar to iOS, High Sierra is already available for developers, a beta version will be available later, and updates for all computers should not be expected until the fall.

watchOS | TVOS

The least changes affected tvOS - by the end of this year the Amazon application will appear on AppleTV, but in Russia, of course, this update has no significance. At least for now.

If we talk about watchOS 4, everything is a little more interesting here:

  • Added three new dial animations based on the cartoon "Toy Story" from the Pixar film studio;
  • Added a screen based on Siri recommendations;
  • A dynamic change of the dial has appeared, depending on the time of day and location;

  • The Activity application has been updated - it now has a new graphical interface and more often encourages the user when achieving fitness goals;
  • New animations have been added when completing workouts, as well as automatic launch of workouts via the NFC module in the watch when interacting with compatible simulators;

  • The music application has a new interface, easier access to tracks and improved integration with AirPods;

HomePod. Something new.

And finally, let’s talk about the most recent product from Apple – HomePod. This is a new portable speaker, its name refers to the iPod, and its design is reminiscent of the Mac Pro. Will be available in two colors: white and space grey. It has 7 speakers that reproduce sound and 6 microphones for voice interaction with Siri. The A8 processor, the same as in the iPhone 6, but with improved music capabilities, allows you to direct sound depending on the space: for example, only in the center of the room or across its entire area.

The cost of this device will be $349, and the start of sales is scheduled for December this year in the territory USA, England and Australia.

Apple's biggest September event is just around the corner, so what will the company be showing off? Presentation 2017 September, what new will they release? We wrote all the rumors on September 12th.

Leaks and rumors have generously informed us that we will see three new iPhones: the 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, a gradual upgrade to the current iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, as well as an all-new iPhone X, an all-new, smaller design that will leave the good old scanner fingerprints in favor of the new 3D facial recognition system. The iPhone X (pronounced iPhone Ten, the same way Mac OS X is pronounced Mac OS Ten) is also expected to be a truly luxury device with a starting price of $1,000.

But since Apple is an iPhone-centric company, there's more to its story than just hardware. There will be one more thing in the form of a new announcement for the Apple Watch Series 3, which will be about incremental improvements rather than a global update. This new watch is expected to connect to LTE so it can be more independent and self-sufficient for those times when you're out biking, running or swimming and don't want or can't take your phone with you. So let's recap everything we can expect from Apple on September 12th.

Apple's iPhone X will be the star of the show, but it alone will be very limited in terms of availability.

Here are 10 new new features of the iPhone X:

  1. New, dimensionless design
  2. Rear and front glass, metal frame
  3. 5.8" OLED display with 2.17:1 aspect ratio
  4. Notch cutout, interface adapted to it
  5. 3D Face Unlock, no Touch ID fingerprint scanner
  6. Apple A11 system chip, 3 GB RAM
  7. Improved dual pixel camera, improved portrait mode
  8. Wireless charging support
  9. Additional memory: base model 128 GB
  10. Price of a thousand dollars

The big change will center around the new display, so let's take a closer look at this new screen: 5.8-inch OLED display with a very tall and narrow aspect ratio of 2.17 to 1. It's the first OLED screen in an iPhone, and it's interesting , because the technology is very different from LCD. Instead of using a separate backlight for the entire screen, each individual pixel on an OLED display can be turned on and off, resulting in perfect blacks and much higher contrasts, as well as punchy, visually impressive colors and excellent viewing angles. The common problem with shadow artifacts that can appear after months of use on an OLED screen has also been addressed by Apple. And this new cutout will contain the camera and all the advanced facial recognition sensors needed.

Speaking of facial recognition, the technology is expected to be much faster and more accurate than aperture scanning currently used on Android phones like Samsung. What shows the level of accuracy is that the new 3D facial scanning will even be used for payment authentication, Apple is confident of its unbreakable security.

All this and more is coming in the form of iPhone X, the tenth anniversary of the iPhone. It's a luxury, a thousand dollar price tag, but it's sure to scare a lot of buyers, which is why Apple also has...

Apple iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus: review, price, characteristics

Leaked as an incremental upgrade from the current iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, the other two new iPhones are now called iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. Why not iPhone 7s and 7s Plus? Good question: the reason could be that they will also carry the new iPhone X design in part, and we mean a glass back rather than a screenless one. The glass back will also provide support for wireless charging on these two phones. More details about .

Here, the list of supported features will include Apple's new A11 system chip with 2GB of RAM on the iPhone 8 and 3GB of RAM on the iPhone 8 Plus. The main difference between the two will remain the screen size: a 4.7-inch screen on the iPhone 8 and a 5.5-inch screen on the iPhone 8 Plus. Also the camera, since the dual camera with support for portrait mode will only be present on the iPhone 8 Plus.

Right now we are looking at the possibility that there will be four color options for the iPhone X, rather than the three as originally expected. That is, if the video found at the top of the story is legit. Will red be one of the best color options for the iPhone X? As we told you this morning, the Gold model may be hard to find now that the tenth anniversary iPhone model has officially launched. This is rumored to take place on September 22. Pre-orders are expected to begin on September 15th. We'll see everything because the Apple presentation 2017 September 12th is tomorrow!

So far, we have seen dummy iPhone X models in white, gold and black. However, a new video discovered today indicates that there may be a red version of the premium tenth anniversary iPhone. The video appears to have been filmed inside the salon. Of course, tomorrow will be a big day, as the most anticipated iPhone model for years is finally being rolled out by Apple after months of rumors and leaks.

Memory iPhone X iPhone 8 iPhone 8 Plus
64GB $ 1000 $ 650 $ 770
128GB $ 1 100 $ 750 $ 870
256GB $ 1200 $ 850 $ 970

Apple Presentation 2017 September - iOS 11 and ARKit

Much of Apple's DNA in innovation lies in software, and iOS 11 is a prime example of this. The latest version of iOS features a completely redesigned control center with much more user-friendly toggles and sliders for easier control. It's also for the iPad device, adding a dock for better multitasking. See: new and macOS Sierra for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

But the feature that most people talk about is, of course, ARKit. A simple software update will enable the iPhone 6s, iPhone SE, and all subsequent iPhones to support augmented reality. We've already seen initial implementations of ARKit: it's used to measure distances quickly and accurately. It's used for furniture placement and how it will scale and appear in your room (there's even an ARKit-enabled IKEA app). Some truly futuristic implementations, such as tracking sound in space. We are waiting for details because the Apple presentation 2017 September 12th is tomorrow!

Apple Presentation 2017 September - Apple Watch Series 3

The new Apple Watch Series 3 will be the other major new gadget unveiled at the event.

The Series 3 will add 4G LTE connectivity to the watch, so you can do more on the watch without having to have your phone.

The only thing that probably won't be supported is making phone calls on the watch independent of the iPhone (and that's a bummer). For everything else, you should receive social media notifications without a tethered iPhone.

From a design perspective, initial rumors of a complete change in shape factor have been stopped, and now we'll likely see the familiar rectangular body developed. We also hope to see improved battery life in the third Apple Watch series.

Apple Presentation 2017 September - HomePod

Apple introduced the HomePod Siri speaker in June this year, but we know little about the release date of this speaker. More details:: Price, characteristics, release date.

We know that the Apple HomePod will provide superior sound quality and be a music product. Which is said to outperform popular wireless speakers like the Sonos series.

We'll likely hear more about HomePod availability and capabilities soon.

Apple Presentation 2017 September - Apple TV with 4K

Last but not least, the Apple TV project is moving forward with a much-needed step forward: Apple TV with 4K support.

The company has previously stated that it believes apps are the future of television, so we're curious to see how it moves in that direction, and the introduction of crisp 4K resolutions is certainly another positive development. Don't miss out, because the Apple presentation 2017 September 12th is tomorrow!

On September 12, the traditional autumn presentation of Apple ended in Cupertino, at which the company presented brand new products. As expected, these are three new iPhones, Apple Watch 3 and Apple TV 4K.

For the first time in the history of the iPhone line, it received wireless charging. Retaining the dimensions of their predecessors, as well as standard 4.7- and 5.5-inch displays, the new iPhones are more similar to the iPhone 7S in terms of innovation. This is the new A11 chip, which is 70% faster than the previous one, stereo speakers (25% louder), as well as a 12 MP camera. Optical stabilization is now available even in the standard version of the iPhone 8, and not just in the Plus. Smartphones are equipped with wireless charging, but a port for a Lightning cable is also present. Official sales start on September 22. There will now be only two versions on sale in terms of memory capacity: 64 and 256 GB, priced at $699 and $849, respectively.

Apple's main flagship, the name of which has been confirmed, however, as Tim Cook himself noted, reads exactly like the iPhone 10. The smartphone has a body without a Home button with a 5.8-inch OLED display, the latest A11 processor, as well as a FaceID user identification system that scans the face user. The chance of hacking such a smartphone is one in a million. In addition, the device received AirPower wireless charging, but it will only be available for sale next year. Official iPhone X sales will begin on November 3, starting at $999 for the 64GB model.

The third generation of Apple Watch smart watches, as expected, acquired an LTE module that allows the installation of small SIM cards. The watch is no longer permanently tied to the iPhone and can be used separately. However, the phone number will be exactly the same as that of the iPhone owner. You can now call the watch itself. At the same time, the standard version without LTE will also remain on sale. Among other improvements, we should highlight a new platform with a dual-core processor, which will make the accessory 70% more powerful than its predecessor. The new product will run on WatchOS 4. The watch will be available at prices of $329 and $399 for models with GSM or LTE modules, respectively. Sales start – September 22.

The new generation Apple TV now supports 4K, as well as HDR. The new model is equipped with 3 GB of RAM and is powered by the powerful Apple A10X Fusion processor. The hardware platform allows you to handle video playback at 60 frames per second, as well as run games. It will come with an upgraded Siri Remote. In addition, there are models with 32 and 64 GB of memory to choose from. Prices are $179 and $199 respectively.

You will find a complete overview of all the new products presented by Apple at the fall presentation 2017 in the new September issue of the magazine

As always, we open with CEO Tim Cook, who gives us a sneak peek of Apple's development community, promising "the best and biggest WWDC yet." Apple presentation 2017 (WWDC 2017) begins...

The first update is Amazon Premier Video, now coming to Apple TV. This primarily concerns the Amazon Prime service, which offers its audience a large amount of original content.

Updates for watchos

New features in watchos.

New features in the update:

Siri has become smarter, a watch that automatically displays the information that is most relevant to you: traffic levels, weather, tasks for the day, etc.

New watch faces: a kaleidoscope set, and three characters from Toy Story.

Apple Watch will be able to exchange data with exercise equipment in fitness centers. Many manufacturers have already signed an agreement with Apple. The update is expected to be available this fall.

The main innovation of the operating system for Apple watches is the new desktops. They now automatically show the flow of information from Siri. Using the program, the smart assistant will predict what information is most needed at the moment - and show it on the screen.

Another cool feature for watchos 4 is that you can select a playlist that automatically starts with your workout. Unfortunately watchos music still only supports music from Apple - no Spotify support. The update will arrive this fall.

New version of the MacOS operating system

Poppy. Craig Federighi came out to talk about the new version of the MacOS operating system.

Apple also introduced a new operating system for its Mac computers called High Sierra. Safari will be the world's fastest browser with the new version of MacOS. But why can't we get this on other platforms?

New file system, graphics drivers and so on. Apple will bring APFS to Mac, a new file system it created for iOS. It also introduces the new video codec H.265 or hevc and replaces the H.264 format.

The new graphics API, Metal II, will apparently have 10x better throughput, a faster frame-by-frame debugger, and GPU counters. Yes, I really don't know what most of these words mean.

Also receiving metal support for an external video card, connected via the Thunderbolt 3 port of the case, and a specific implementation for virtual reality. This Apple is slowly trying to show that it can make better graphics cards for Macs, several years after the founder oculus Palmer Luckey joked that virtual reality isn't for Macs because they can't handle it.

Safari is now the fastest browser!

Apple 2017 presentation, Apple has improved Safari! So what's new in MacOS? Safari first:

  • Update speed for Safari, Federighi promises to make it the fastest browser on 80% faster than chrome.
  • Autostart blocking, which stops music and videos on the site that are playing without your permission.
  • Additionally, the new Safari prevents unwanted tracking users of third party sites.

Mac Mail gets a view on the compose window, Spotlight integration for search, and a 35% improvement in its use for storing information.

Photos get a new type of import in chronological order, facial recognition has been improved, which is now synchronized between devices. The app also gets a significantly improved set of editing tools, as well as better integration with Pro.

Apple Unveils Powerful New iMac Pro

One of the most exciting devices from Apple is debuting the new iMac Pro, which will support up to an 18-core processor and include a Radeon Vega series graphics chipset.

“This will be the most powerful Mac we've ever made,” said John Ternus, Apple's vice president of hardware software.

The new iMac Pro could help make up for Apple's previous failures; previous Mac Pros were universally panned by critics and customers. The iMac Pro will start at $5,000 and will be released in December.

With this device, Apple is opening the doors to members of the professional community, like filmmakers and hardcore coders. For years, these users felt sidelined by Apple's consumer-oriented iPhone-like approach, moving away from high-end hardware for professionals, but the company has corrected its mistake.

The company also announced upgrades to its 27-inch and 21.5-inch iMac desktop computers that start at $1,099, with additional models starting at $1,299 and $1,799. And Apple has lowered prices on some MacBook products and said the MacBook will have increased speed. 21.5-inch 4K high-resolution models will start at $1,300.

MacBook fans have been waiting for Apple to introduce a major update after the laptop remained relatively unchanged for about four years. But when Apple introduced the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, a virtual Touch Strip, built into its keyboard, customers were divided. Some fans concluded that the Mac was now sitting in the backseat because Apple was focusing on the iPhone, iPad.

Apple presentation 2017: iOS 11 update

Now users of the Apple mobile system can transfer money to each other through the iMessage messenger using Apple Pay. Transferring from card to card is supported on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

Siri receives new, in-depth voice training. It's more natural sounding, but still not That. But she can also do the translation now (from English to Chinese, French, German, Italian and Spanish, for now), and also offer some answers to some questions. In general, Siri is becoming more active in offering help in Apple applications.

The mobile system supports the H.265 video codec. Video from iPhone and iPad will weigh half as much. Apple has also optimized photo processing algorithms - they will also “weigh” half as much.

New App Store. Apple has completely updated the application store interface. Now games and “simple” applications are divided into two tabs. iOS 11 supports augmented reality (AR).

Cards Gets detailed floor plans of shopping centers and airports (London UK only), and lane movements and speed limits for travel.

Apple presentation 2017: new iPad Pro line

“We're on the edge of the future of iPads, and today we're going to push them further than ever before.”

The Apple Developers Conference typically showcases software improvements. Unlike usual, Apple showed a lot of new hardware this time.

Includes updated versions for the iPad, which is seeing declining sales. Apple showed it is continuing its bet on tablets by releasing an update to the iPad that Chief Executive Officer Timothy D. Cook said pushed the device “further than ever before.”

The new version of the iPad Pro has a 10.5-inch display, 20 percent larger than the previous 9.7-inch model, and it will start at $649. Apple said the size makes it ideal for displaying a virtual keyboard comparable to a full-size physical keyboard. The company also highlighted the advance feature, which increases the refresh rate and makes motion smoother in videos. The new display is brighter and has better color reproduction at 120 Hz screen frequency. New processors are 30% faster and powered by new GPUs that are 40% faster. 10 hours of battery life.

After Steve Jobs introduced the first iPad in 2010, tablets exploded in popularity, but iPad sales have now fallen for more than a year. So Apple, with increasing pressure from investors to shore up its profits, has improved the iPads far better than many other products. The company introduced a cheaper version of the 9.7-inch iPad, priced at $329, in March and a 12.9-inch iPad Pro, with an Apple-compatible stylus and keyboard, in 2015.

They start at $649 for the 10.5v with 64GB and $799 for the 12.9 with 64GB.

Price for iPad Pro 10.5 in Russia:
  • 64 GB - 46,990 rubles / 56,990 rubles with LTE;
  • 256 GB - 53,990 rubles / 63,990 rubles with LTE;
  • 512 GB - 67,990 rubles / 77,990 rubles with LTE.

Hello HomePod, Apple's new speaker.

Amazon has created a device that allows you to play music, view basic information, and control lighting and other home accessories. Now Apple's answer to the Echo is in the HomePod. Apple unveiled the HomePod on Monday and it will be available in December.

So how can Apple compete? Bullseye is like an image: the speakers, powered by the Siri voice assistant, look better than Amazon or Google's version - It's a seven-inch tall canister wrapped in a shiny speaker mesh. The company also said it prioritized the speaker's sound, which can be lackluster on competing devices. HomePod has an array of speakers to create virtual surround sound.

“You don't have to know what it is, I just know it sounds incredible,” said Phil Schiller, Apple's chief marketing officer, who added that HomePod will be priced at $349.

The company offers wireless multispeaker systems that allow users to listen to music throughout the home.

Apple presentation 2017, the first day is over! If you liked the article: apple presentation 2017, share it with your friends on social media. networks.

The most important day of the conference has passed WWDC 2017. All important new products were presented at the presentation on June 5, 2017. It was the biggest presentation ever. It was attended by 5,300 developers from all over the world and of all ages.

Tim Cook appeared on stage and immediately got down to business without much preamble. From the first minutes, he outlined 6 things that would be announced at WWDC 2017. The pace was set incredibly high. Which meant big and loud announcements awaited us. We have collected all the most important information about Apple's announcements at WWDC 2017.

Let's start with updating the operating systems for all Apple devices. This is how Cupertino’s presentations always begin, and at the end there will be the most delicious thing.

Updating tvOS, watchOS, iOS and MacOS

tvOS 11 and watchOS 4

A new version TVOS received the bare minimum of updates. The most significant thing is support for the Amazon Prime service. The service has become popular thanks to its exclusive series and TV shows.

IN watchOS 4 There will be a new Siri watch face that will group all the important information on one screen in the form of widgets. As usual, new watch faces await us. Now as animated characters from Toy Story.

For sports fans, an important fact will be the ability to directly connect the watch with various sports equipment via NFC.

macOS High Sierra

The new name for the Mac operating system is High Sierra. The built-in Safari browser has received an update. Now he has become the fastest in the world! In some tests it outperforms Chrome by as much as 60%.

A particularly useful innovation is the built-in photo editor in the Photos application. It won't replace Photoshop, but it does have some of the most useful features.

The main change in High Sierra is the transition to a completely new file system called APFS. It is designed to work with solid-state drives (SSDs) using their full capabilities. There should be a significant increase in system performance and optimization of file handling.

iOS 11

The most anticipated software update is, of course, iOS 11 for iPhone and iPad. The list of innovations is simply amazing, and we’ll start with Siri. With the help of machine learning technologies, Siri will be more than just a voice assistant. This is a true intelligent assistant for any task. She has learned to understand context and has access to user data on all Apple devices. This data will help Siri display the most necessary information for the owner. Machine learning has also helped it better recognize the user's voice. But Siri herself will speak in a human-like manner. Finally, a smart interlocutor awaits us.

The control center has been thoroughly redesigned. Now 3D Touch is needed everywhere to get more information. iMessage has improved cross-device syncing and the ability to send money directly through messages using Apple Pay.

Briefly about other features of iOS 11: redesign of the AppStore application store, new effects for Live photos, Maps supports navigation at airports (US only), “do not disturb while driving” mode and the new AirPlay 2 protocol. A dark theme for the iOS interface was never introduced shown. But it may appear in future updates. We expect the release of iOS 11 in the fall.

iMac 2017

Apple surprised many at WWDC 2017 when they showed new iMac. A total of three models were updated: iMac 21.5, iMac 21.5 4K, iMac 27 5K. And there was also an announcement of a new model, but we will talk about it separately below. The new iMacs will feature displays that are 43% brighter than previous models. Computer performance was not ignored either. Thanks to the seventh generation processor from Intel and the latest Radeon Pro video cards, performance has increased by an average of 2 times. Starting this year, even entry-level models will be equipped with Fusion Drive. Finally, there are 2 Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports in the new iMacs.

Unexpected announcement of iMac Pro

The most powerful monoblock in history. “Professionals love working on our iMacs, so we created the iMac for them” - this is how it was introduced iMac Pro. Engineers from California equipped it with the most advanced hardware. Just imagine: 18 core Xeon, up to 128 GB ECC memory and SSD up to 4 TB. The video accelerator is used as usual from Radeon, but the model is with emphasis for professional use. The performance of the used Radeon Vega reaches a fantastic 11 teraflops.

It is difficult to imagine how such power can be used effectively. But Apple hints at use in VR projects and the ability to connect two more 5K monitors. Fortunately, they equipped the monoblock with four Thunderbolt 3 connectors.

It is worth noting its appearance. Due to the powerful installed components, the thickness of the iMac Pro has increased slightly. But the body is now made of Space Gray aluminum, like the included Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard. This color will be explosive for the iMac Pro.

Updated MacBook lineup

At the Apple presentation, the MacBook lineup was updated. This minor update did not bring anything new except updated processors to the seventh generation. So MacBook Pro 2017 year received Kaby Lake processors and slightly faster drives. New generation of processors received MacBook Air, although not a word was said about this at the presentation.

They look much more interesting MacBook 12 with Intel Core i5 or Intel Core i7. Let us remember that before this, the MacBook 12 was equipped only with an Intel Core M processor. It was too weak for more serious tasks than web surfing and working with documents. But with powerful processors, new prospects are opening up for it. Now for sure, the MacBook 12 has become a full replacement for the MacBook Air.

New iPad Pro 10.5 with thin bezels

At the WWDC 2017 conference, this device left no one indifferent. The rumors were confirmed, Apple announced iPad Pro with a screen size of 10.5 inches. Due to thinner frames, the dimensions of the tablet remain the same as a 9.7-inch tablet. The iPad display is now not only brighter, it now refreshes at 120 Hz instead of the standard 60 Hz. Fantastic movie watching experience and smooth page scrolling guaranteed! It is worth mentioning the installed camera as in the iPhone 7, the six-core A10X Fusion processor and the 2 times faster Touch ID response speed.

At the presentation, they showed the iPad Pro running on the new iOS 11. After watching, it seems that the iPad will finally be able to replace a computer in most cases.

The release of the new model is planned within a week after the announcement.

The main announcement of the exhibition: the HomePod smart speaker

At one time, Apple revolutionized the music segment. What Tim Cook decided to remind us of by showing slides of the first iPod. Today Apple has a new task: to combine a high-quality audio system and a smart assistant into one device. This is how a smart speaker from Apple was announced called HomePod.

The device looks like a canister, the Mac Pro looked similar, but the speaker is covered with fabric. Underneath it lies a high-tech filling consisting of a subwoofer, seven speakers, six microphones, and all this is controlled by the Apple A8 processor. The speaker is designed to effectively deliver the best sound to the listener. Thanks to integrated sensors, it will automatically detect what is located in the corner of the room and redistribute sound waves towards the listener. If HomePod is installed in the center of the room, the sound will be distributed evenly over 360 degrees.

The integrated intelligent assistant Siri will easily recognize your commands and select your favorite music. And while playing music, you can even find out which drummer is playing in this song.

It will go on sale in December.
