1 area of use
This standard establishes general requirements and rules for compiling a bibliographic reference: main types, structure, composition, location in documents.
The standard applies to bibliographic references used in published and unpublished documents in any media.
The standard is intended for authors, editors, publishers...

4 General provisions
4.1 A bibliographic reference is part of the reference apparatus of a document and serves as a source of bibliographic information about documents - objects of reference.
4.2 A bibliographic reference contains bibliographic information about another document (its component part or group of documents) quoted, considered or mentioned in the text of a document, necessary and sufficient for its identification, search and general characteristics.
4.3 The objects of compiling a bibliographic reference are all types of published and unpublished documents on any media (including electronic resources of local and remote access), as well as components of documents.

4.4 The set of bibliographic information in the link must ensure identification and search of the object of the link.
4.5 According to the composition of the elements, a bibliographic reference can be complete or short, depending on the type of reference, its purpose, and the presence of bibliographic information in the text of the document.
4.5.1 A full link containing a set of bibliographic information about a document, intended for general characteristics, identification and search of the document - the object of the link, is compiled in accordance with GOST 7.1, GOST 7.82, GOST 7.80.
4.5.2 A short link, intended only for searching a document - the object of the link, is compiled based on the principle of laconicism in accordance with the requirements of this standard.
4.6. Based on their location in the document, bibliographic references are distinguished:
- intratextual, placed in the text of the document;
- interlinear, taken from the text down the page of the document (in a footnote);
- extra-textual, placed outside the text of the document or part of it (in a callout).
4.7 When repeating references to the same object, bibliographic references are distinguished:
- primary, in which bibliographic information is presented for the first time in this document;
- repeated, in which previously specified bibliographic information is repeated in an abbreviated form.
Repeated links can be intratextual, interlinear, or extratextual.

4.8 If there are several reference objects, then they are combined into one complex bibliographic reference.
Complex links can be intratextual, sublinear and extratextual. These may include both primary and secondary links.
4.9 Regardless of the purpose of the link, the rules for presenting elements of a bibliographic description, the use of prescribed punctuation marks in the link are carried out in accordance with GOST 7.1 and GOST 7.82, taking into account the following features.
4.9.1 It is allowed to replace the prescribed dot and dash sign separating areas of the bibliographic description with a dot.
4.9.2 It is permissible not to use square brackets for information not taken from a prescribed source of information.
4.9.3 Abbreviations of individual words and phrases are used for all elements of a bibliographic record, with the exception of the title proper of the document. Words and phrases are abbreviated according to GOST 7.11 and GOST 7.12.
4.9.4 In the area of physical characteristics, indicate either the total volume of the document or information about the location of the reference object in the document:

4.10 The bibliographic description in the link is supplemented with the title of the bibliographic record in accordance with GOST 7.80, taking into account the following features.
4.10.1 The title must be used in links containing records of documents created by one, two or three authors.
4.10.2 The title of the entry in the link may contain the names of one, two or three authors of the document. The names of the authors indicated in the title are not repeated in the disclaimer.
4.11 Bibliographical references in standard and translated publications may be given in the form in which they are given in the original.
4.12 If the text is quoted not from the original source, but from another document, then at the beginning of the link the words are given: “Cit. by: "(quoted by), "Cited by: ", indicating the source of borrowing:

4.13 To link interlinear bibliographic references with the text of the document, use the footnote sign; To connect extra-text bibliographic references with the text of the document, a callout sign or reference is used, which is given in the form of numbers (ordinal numbers), letters, asterisks (asterisks) and other signs.
References in the text of the document are enclosed in square brackets. If necessary, references may contain certain identifying information: name of the author (authors), title of the document, year of publication, designation and volume number, page indication (see 7.5)1.

5 In-text bibliographic reference
5.1 An in-text bibliographic link contains information about the object of the link that is not included in the text of the document.
An in-text bibliographic reference may contain the following elements:
- title;

- information about the publication;
- output;

- notes.
5.2 An in-text bibliographic reference is enclosed in parentheses.
5.3 The prescribed sign of a dot and a dash, separating areas of a bibliographic description, is usually replaced with a dot in an in-text bibliographic reference:

6 Interlinear bibliographic reference
6.1 An interlinear bibliographic reference is formatted as a note taken from the text of the document to the bottom of the page.
An interlinear bibliographic reference may contain the following elements:
- title;
- main title of the document;
- general designation of the material;

- information about responsibility;
- information about the publication;
- output;
- information about the volume of the document (if the link is to the entire document);
- information about the location of the link object in the document (if the link is to part of the document);
- information about the series;
- designation and serial number of the volume or issue (for references to publications in multi-part or serial documents);
- information about the document in which the link object is published;
- notes;

6.2.1 For analytical records, it is allowed, if there is bibliographic information about the component in the text, to indicate only information about the identifying document in the sublinear reference:

6.3 When numbering interlinear bibliographic references, a uniform order is used for the entire document: continuous numbering throughout the entire text, within each chapter, section, part, etc., or for a given page of the document.

7 Beyond-text bibliographic reference
7.1 The set of extra-text bibliographic references is drawn up as a list of bibliographic records placed after the text of the document or its component part3.
7.2 A non-text bibliographic reference may contain the following elements:
- title;
- main title of the document;
- general designation of the material;
- information related to the title;
- information about responsibility;
- information about the publication;
- output;
- physical characteristics of the document;
- information about the location of the link object in the document (if the link is to part of the document);
- information about the series;
- designation and serial number of the volume or issue (for references to publications in multi-part or serial documents);
- information about the document in which the link object is published;
- notes;
- International standard number.
7.3 In an off-text bibliographic reference, the bibliographic information about the object of the reference that is available in the text of the document is repeated:

7.4 When numbering out-of-text bibliographic references, continuous numbering is used for the entire text of the document as a whole or for individual chapters, sections, parts, etc.
7.4.1 To connect with the text of the document, the serial number of the bibliographic record in the textual link is indicated in the callout sign, which is typed on the top line of the font, or in the reference, which is given in square brackets in the line with the text of the document:

8 Repeated bibliographic reference
8.1 A repeated reference to the same document (group of documents) or part of it is given in an abbreviated form, provided that all bibliographic information necessary for identifying and searching this document is indicated in the primary reference to it. The selected method of reducing bibliographic information is used uniformly for this document.
8.2 The repeated link indicates elements that allow identification of the document, as well as elements that differ from the information in the primary link.
8.3 The prescribed dot and dash sign separating the areas of the bibliographic description are replaced with a dot in a repeated bibliographic reference.
8.4 A repeated reference containing a record of a document created by one, two or three authors shall include the title, title proper and relevant pages.
In a repeated reference containing an entry to a document created by four or more authors, or to a document in which the authors are not indicated, the title proper and pages are given.
It is allowed to shorten long titles by indicating the omitted words with an ellipsis with a space before and after this prescribed sign:

9 Comprehensive bibliographic reference
9.1 Bibliographic references included in a complex reference are separated from each other by a semicolon with spaces before and after this prescribed character.
9.2 Several objects in one link are arranged in alphabetical or chronological order, either according to the principle of a single graphic basis - Cyrillic, Latin, etc., or in each language separately (according to the alphabet of language names).
9.3 Each of the links as part of a complex link is drawn up according to the general rules. If the complex includes several consecutive links containing records with identical headings (works of the same authors), then the headings in the second and subsequent links can be replaced by their verbal equivalents “His”, “Her”, “Theirs” , or – for documents in languages using Latin script – “Idem”, “Eadem”, “Iidem”:

11 Features of compiling bibliographic references to archival documents
11.1 Bibliographic references to archival documents allow you to locate and identify a document stored in a specific archive, personal archive, museum, library, etc.
11.2 Bibliographic references to archival documents are compiled according to the rules set out in sections 4–9, taking into account the following features.
11.3 Links to archival documents may contain the following elements:
- title;
- main title of the document;
- information related to the title;
- information about responsibility;
- document search data;
- information about the location of the link object in the document;
- information about the file (storage unit) in which the document is stored - the object of reference;
- notes.
11.4 The following is indicated as document search data:
- name of the archive;
- number of the fund, inventory (if available), serial number of the case according to the inventory, etc.;
- name of the fund;
- location of the reference object in the identifying document (case sheet numbers).

GOST R 7.0.5 - 2008

On January 1, 2009, the new GOST R 7.0.5 - 2008 “Bibliographic reference”, developed by the Federal State Institution “Russian Book Chamber” of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications, comes into force. This standard “establishes general requirements and rules for compiling a bibliographic reference: main types, structure, composition, arrangement of documents. The standard applies to bibliographic references used in published and unpublished documents in any media. The standard is intended for authors, editors, publishers" *1 .

According to the “General Provisions” of the “Bibliographic Reference” (clause 4.6.), “based on their location in the document, bibliographic references are distinguished: intratextual, placed in the text of the document; interlinear, taken from the text down the page of the document (in a footnote); extra-textual, placed outside the text of the document or part of it (in a callout)" *2 .

Beyond text links are placed after the main text, and when numbering extra-text bibliographic references, continuous numbering is used for the entire text of the document *3 . The text refers to an out-of-text link.

A reference to an off-text link is enclosed in square brackets *4 . The reference may contain the serial number of a textual link in the list of textual links, the name of the author (authors), the title of the document, the year of publication, the designation and volume number, and an indication of the pages. Information in the submission is separated by a comma.

References are made uniformly throughout the document: either by indicating the serial number of the textual link, or by indicating the name of the author (authors) or the title of the work. The sending is made as follows: or [Karasik, 2002, p. 231], in the presence of several authors - [Karasik, Dmitrieva, 2005, p. 6-8].

If the author of a book is not indicated (for example, the book was written by a team of authors, and only the editor is indicated), then the title of the book is indicated in the reference. If the name is too long, then it can be shortened to the first two words, for example, [Interpretation characteristics..., 1999, p. 56] *5 .

If the reference contains information about several extra-text links, then the groups of information are separated by a semicolon: , or [Shakhovsky, 2008; Sheigal, 2007], [Leotovich, 2007, p. 37; Slyshkin, 2004, p. 35-38].

When references to the same non-textual link are placed sequentially, the second reference is replaced with the words “Ibid.” or “Ibid.” (from “Ibidem”) (for sources in languages with Latin script). If the source is preserved, but the page is changed, then the page number is added to the word “Ibid”: [Ibid. P. 24], *6 .

If the text is quoted not from the original source, but from another document, then at the beginning of the reference the words “Cit. by:", for example, [Cit. from: 132, p. 14] or [Cit. from: Olyanich, 2004, p. 39-40]. If not a quotation is given, but a mention of someone’s views, thoughts, ideas, but still not based on the original source, then the words “Cited by:” are given in the reference, for example, [Cited by: 108] or [Cited by: : Krasavsky, 2001]. The email address and date of access to the document are always provided. The date the document was accessed is the date when the person making the link opened this document and this document was accessible.

System requirements are given when special software is needed to access a document, for example Adobe Acrobat Reader, Power Point, etc. *22

The reference section contains a description of the rules that were in force in the journal "Psychological Research" until April 1, 2012. GOST allows for a certain variability in the design of the list; in other journals there may be some differences from the rules of the journal PI. For example, there may be a requirement to separate parts of the description using a dash; usually the sign No. etc is used. Please keep this in mind. The list is given in alphabetical order after the text of the article. The items are not numbered and are separated by an empty line (by additionally pressing the Enter button). Authors' names or titles works are highlighted in italics.

Links in the Russian version of the article are given in the original language. First - sources in Cyrillic (in Russian, Serbian, Ukrainian, etc.), then - in Latin (in English, French, etc.). The description rules are the same for all sources, domestic and foreign.

If there are several works by the same author (authors), the links are arranged by year in ascending order, from earlier works to more recent ones. Works of one author (authors) and one year are marked in alphabetical order with a Latin letter for the year of publication, without a space after the year: 2007b. In this case, references in the text also contain a letter when indicating the year [Ivanov, 2007b].

There is no dash between parts of the description in bibliographic references (this is allowed by GOST R 7.0.5-2008). All links must be formatted uniformly: only with a dot, without a dash between parts of the description.

The symbols # and & are not used; the number is indicated in lat. the letter N without a dot after it; see below Abbreviations in bibliographic descriptions.

A double slash separates the description of the larger document whose fragment is being referenced. There is no dot before the double slash //. Spaces before and after // are required.

The names of all authors, regardless of their number, are indicated at the beginning of the description (there is no comma after the surname, initials - without spaces between them: Ivanov A.A., Ivanov A.A.). If the names of the authors are not listed (for example, only the editor is listed), the description begins with titles work.

All the features of the spelling of names are preserved: Ariès, Børglum, Büchner, Janáč, Längle etc.

In foreign sources, editors are usually indicated before the title of the work (with the mark (Ed.). or (Eds.). - in English). This order should be maintained.

The surnames of foreign authors in the Russian version of the list of references, after being written in Cyrillic, are indicated in the original spelling (if the original name is in Latin) or in the commonly used Latin transcription (for example, the names of Japanese authors), in square brackets. In the title of the journal, a colon is placed after the word “Series” (Series: Psychology). If a journal series has a number, its title is given after a comma: Series 12, Psychology. Sociology. Pedagogy. The series number is indicated in Arabic numerals: Series 10, Differential psychology.

Double magazine numbers are indicated using a slash (not a dash) without spaces: N 1/2.

The type of document (dissertation, conference materials, encyclical, collection of articles, selected works, etc.) is placed after the title, separated by a colon. There is no space before the colon. One word is not abbreviated (“reference book”, but “reference book”; “textbook”, but “textbook for universities”).

Information that the publication is a translation from another language (in the absence of the translator’s surname; for indicating names, see below) is indicated after the type of document (or immediately after the title, if the type is not reflected), separated by a colon.

The names of compilers, editors, translators, names of institutions and other information about responsibility are indicated after the slash, before and after / there is a space. Groups of similar information are separated by semicolons.

Electronic publications that have been assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) by the International DOI Foundation (http://www.doi.org) are described similarly to printed publications, with the doi indicated without a period after it. In this case, the URL is not provided because doi allows an object to be uniquely identified in databases, unlike a network address, which can change.

The information is provided in the following sequence: system requirements, information about accessibility restrictions, date of update of the document or part of it, email address, date of access to the document.

Information about access restrictions is provided if access to a document is possible, for example, from a specific location (local network, organization for which access is open), only for registered users, etc. In this case, the description indicates: “Access from …”, “Access for registered users,” etc. If access is free, then nothing is indicated in the information.

System requirements are given when special software is needed to access a document, for example Adobe Acrobat Reader, Power Point, etc.

Electronic publications often have a date included in the description. The year comes first, then the date and month.

The date of update of the document or its part is indicated if it is recorded on the website. If the update date cannot be set, then nothing is indicated.

You should not link to electronic resources that violate copyright.

According to GOST-2008, it is allowed not to use a dash between areas of a bibliographic description. All links must be formalized uniform: only with a dot, without a dash between parts of the description.

4.2. A bibliographic reference contains bibliographic information about another document (its component part or group of documents) quoted, considered or mentioned in the text of a document, necessary and sufficient for its identification, search and general characteristics.

4.3. The objects of compiling a bibliographic reference are all types of published and unpublished documents on any media (including electronic resources of local and remote access), as well as components of documents.

4.4. The totality of bibliographic information in the link must provide identification and search for the object of the link.

4.5. According to the composition of the elements, a bibliographic reference can be complete or short, depending on the type of reference, its purpose, and the presence of bibliographic information in the text of the document.

4.5.1. A full link, containing a set of bibliographic information about a document, intended for general characteristics, identification and search of the document - the object of the link, is compiled in accordance with GOST 7.1, GOST 7.82, GOST 7.80.

4.6. Based on their location in the document, bibliographic references are distinguished:

intratextual, placed in the text of the document;

interlinear, taken from the text down the page of the document (in a footnote);

extra-textual, placed outside the text of the document or part of it (in a balloon).

4.7. When repeating references to the same object, bibliographic references are distinguished:

primary, in which bibliographic information is presented for the first time in this document;

repeated, in which previously specified bibliographic information is repeated in an abbreviated form.

4.9. Regardless of the purpose of the link, the rules for presenting elements of a bibliographic description, the use of prescribed punctuation marks in the link are carried out in accordance with GOST 7.1 and GOST

4.9.1. It is allowed to replace the prescribed dot and dash sign separating areas of the bibliographic description with a dot.

4.9.2. It is permissible not to use square brackets for information not taken from a prescribed source of information.

4.9.3. Abbreviations for individual words and phrases are used for all elements of a bibliographic record, with the exception of the title proper of the document. Words and phrases are abbreviated according to GOST 7.11 and GOST 7.12.

4.9.4. In the physical characteristics area, they indicate either the total volume of the document or information about the location of the reference object in the document:

4.10. The bibliographic description in the link is supplemented with the title of the bibliographic record in accordance with GOST 7.80, taking into account the following features.

4.10.1. The title must be used in links containing records of documents created by one, two, or three authors.
