Removing the voluntary blocking of mts. What does it mean that a subscriber is temporarily blocked by MTS

Like all operators mobile communications, MTS provides its customers with the opportunity to voluntarily block their SIM card. “Voluntary blocking” can be used, for example, if you plan not to use your SIM card for a long time, but would still like to keep your number. Service voluntary blocking It will also be useful if your phone is lost or stolen - then an attacker will not be able to use your number.

How to enable and disable “Voluntary blocking” of MTS

The first thing you need to pay attention to is unlocking. After all, it is no less important than connecting the service being studied. All clients who use the function sooner or later ask about how to remove the voluntary blocking of MTS. And here they may not have the best answer.

The thing is that unlocking is not always possible. It all depends on which block was set by the subscriber. A temporary one allows you to restore the functionality of the SIM card, but a permanent one does not.

Therefore, when using the “Voluntary Blocking” (MTS) service, you should pay attention to what type of block will be installed.

The service has several ways to connect and disconnect.

You need to go to the website mts.ru and log in to your “Personal Account” there. Next, it is recommended to visit the Internet assistant. The services have the “Block number” function. If you click on this line and follow the instructions (namely, select the appropriate option - whether you have access to the SIM card or not), you will be able to block the number.

If the SIM card was previously blocked, the “Unlock” line will now appear in the services. Accordingly, its use will help restore the functionality of the number.

Via USSD command (connection only)

Customers indicate that it is the USSD request that is in greatest demand. This technique allows you to independently and at any time use the number blocking function. Only the studied combination is suitable for temporarily disabling a SIM card. This means that it will be possible to restore the SIM card when it is needed.

Through a call to a short number

You can call to short number 1116. The robotic voice will turn on here.

The subscriber must listen to everything that is told to him after the call, then press the button responsible for blocking. Just a few seconds and the job is done. The SIM card will be disabled. Either temporarily or permanently. It all depends on which button the subscriber chose.

Voluntary blocking of MTS can be lifted in the same way. Only clients don't best reviews leave about this method. It works ineffectively, and most often your request can be refused. Therefore, calling 1116 should be considered primarily as a way to activate the service.

How to remove voluntary MTS blocking from your phone? Exactly the same as connecting it - by calling 0890. The subscriber must wait for a response from the call center employee. Next, it tells you what exactly needs to be done: block the number or unblock it. In the first case, we must not forget to mention the type of blocking.

Next, the call center employee will ask for your personal information and check it against the database. After all, all functions with a SIM card can only be performed by the real owner of the number. If everything is correct, a request will be made for the subscriber to activate a particular service. You can hang up. Once the request has been processed, mobile device You will receive a message about the successful activation of the “Voluntary blocking” (MTS) function or about its refusal.

By contacting the MTS office

The first step is to visit the nearest salon cellular communications MTS. Next, the citizen informs the employees that he wants to block or unlock the SIM card on the phone. He will be given an application form, which must be completed personally by the client.

Next, the finished document is given to office employees. A few minutes - and connecting/disabling the function will be activated. By the way, to enable the “Voluntary blocking” (MTS) service, you can simply give your mobile phone to office employees and inform them of your intentions to refuse to use the number. That is, without a statement. For this, clients leave positive reviews about the company's work.

After all, you don’t have to deal with paperwork at all!

But unlocking the phone is a more important matter. And therefore, it occurs only after the corresponding application has been transmitted to employees. However, they return the number to working condition very fast. Clients indicate that the voluntary blocking of MTS after writing an application is removed in 5-10 minutes. This means you don’t have to worry that the process will drag on!

How to unlock an MTS SIM card via PIN and PUK codes

It's always unpleasant to discover that your SIM card is blocked. You cannot make a phone call or use other services of the operator, and friends trying to call you hear only the voice of an answering machine, informing you that the number is no longer in service.

Don't despair! There is always a chance to unlock your MTS SIM card and continue using it as if nothing had happened. True, whether it will be possible to restore the number largely depends on the reason for blocking the SIM card.

If you have not disabled the PIN code verification function on your phone, then after each turn on, the device will request a PIN code from your SIM card. It is enough to make a mistake only three times for the device to be blocked.

In this case, to unlock the SIM card you will need to enter the PUK code. You can find it out by looking in the envelope you received when purchasing a SIM card. Usually the PIN and PUK are indicated on a small paper insert, or on a plastic card to which the SIM card was attached.

If you do not have this envelope, PIN and PUK codes you can find out:

  • by sending free SMS to the short number 9999 of the form 375 ХХ ХХХ ХХ ХХ code word. The code word is the same word that you came up with when you signed a contract for communication services when purchasing a SIM card. If you don’t remember your code word, you can look it up in the contract. SMS to number 9999 can be sent from any MTS phone.
  • by calling the operator at 0890, or 8-800-250-0890 (you need to call from any phone except MTS mobile);
  • using the Internet Assistant;
  • by personally contacting the MTS customer service center.

If you enter the PUK code incorrectly 10 times in a row, the SIM card is blocked forever. It will be impossible to restore it, and further use numbers will become possible only after replacing the SIM card at an MTS communication store.

How to unlock an MTS SIM card after “voluntary blocking”

There are several ways to unlock a SIM card in this case.

Personal appeal to the MTS communication salon

After presentation necessary documents you will be asked to write an application to restore the SIM card. After this formality, you will immediately receive a new SIM card with the same number and previously connected services.

To restore your SIM card, be prepared to tell the operator your passport data, as well as the code word that you came up with when concluding a contract for the provision of mobile communication services.

Reasons for automatic blocking of MTS SIM cards

Under certain circumstances, MTS reserves the right to automatically block the subscriber's SIM card. Most often this happens for one of the following reasons:

  • negative phone balance for a long time;
  • debt on the invoice (when using the “In Full Trust” service);
  • The SIM card was not used for 60 to 183 days (no calls were made, no paid services were activated).

Specify the reason for blocking you can call the operator at contact center by phone 0890 or 8-800-250-0890. Here they will tell you whether it is possible to restore the SIM card and how to do it.

If your SIM card is blocked for a financial reason - due to debt or a negative balance, then you can restore the SIM card simply by topping up your phone balance with the required amount.

If the SIM card was just lying in your desk drawer, and after some time you found it and decided to use it, then whether you can restore it or not depends on how long you haven’t used it.

Depending on the tariff plan, MTS may block the SIM card after 2 months (60 days) of inactivity. On some tariffs, the maximum period of inactivity for a SIM card is 183 days. After this time, the SIM card is blocked forever and the number cannot be restored.

Anything can happen in life. For example, you could become a victim of an attacker who steals your mobile phone, or lose your favorite gadget. In such a situation, blocking the SIM card becomes necessary. In addition, subscribers decide to block MTS number, wanting to become a client of another mobile operator. Of course, you can simply throw away an unnecessary SIM card, but this method is somewhat barbaric and, of course, you should not resort to it if this number page registered in social network or a bank plastic card is linked to it.

There are several ways to block an MTS SIM card. In this situation, everything depends on the specific circumstances. If the SIM is at your disposal, then the most convenient way is to insert it into the phone and, using special teams, block it yourself. If your SIM card is lost, but the method mentioned above will not work for you, so you will have to consider others. In this article we will tell you in detail how you can block an MTS number.

MTS SIM card: temporary blocking

Let's assume that for some reason, say, because of a long business trip abroad, you no longer need an MTS SIM card. At the same time, you like the selected tariff plan and phone number, i.e. you would like to continue using it in the future. What to do in this situation? Especially for such cases, MTS came up with a service called “Voluntary blocking”. Its essence lies in the fact that the SIM card is not blocked forever, but only for a certain period of time.

Note! The Voluntary Blocking service allows you to temporarily block a phone number. As soon as you need it again, you can activate it.

After you use the provided service, your MTS SIM card will be deactivated. Of course, you can insert it into your mobile phone, but this will be a useless exercise, because you still will not be able to make calls to other subscribers, send and receive text messages, access the Internet, etc. This type of blocking has no time limit.

The user independently removes it at the moment when he needs the MTS SIM card. If before blocking a number you see that it has cash, then you shouldn’t spend them urgently. The fact is that after deactivation, a “freeze” will be imposed on your account, which will be removed after the SIM is restored. At the same time, it is important to know that during blocking MTS does not write off money.

To temporarily block a number, use one of the following methods:

  • Pick up your phone and send a USSD request *111*157#
  • Dial 1116 and follow the commands dictated by the mobile assistant;
  • Sign in Personal Area on the official website of MTS. At the bottom of the page, find the “Block” field and click on it. After this you will be redirected to new page, where you need to check the box next to the “Voluntary blocking” item and click on “Next”;
  • Call the MTS call center, contact the operator and ask to temporarily block the SIM card.

If you need an active number, you can remove the temporary block:

  • Through your personal account;
  • When visiting an MTS salon;
  • Through the operator's call center.

Attention! There is no charge for activating the “Voluntary blocking” service, but only after the number has been inactive for 2 weeks. From the 15th day, the daily fee is one ruble. This means that if you are not completely sure that you will need a SIM card, then it is more rational to refuse unnecessary expenses and block it forever.

Block MTS SIM card forever

If you have decided that you will never insert the existing SIM into your mobile phone again, and you want to get rid of it, then the ideal way out of the situation is to disable it. This can be done in several ways at once, each of which will be discussed below.

Blocking an MTS number forever will not be done in one of the following ways:

  • Through your personal account. This method is considered the simplest, because you don’t have to pick up the phone and call an operator or visit an MTS salon. The only thing you need is an Internet connection. Because the we're talking about about how to block a SIM card permanently, and not temporarily, you must be careful, because the described method has some similarities with connecting the “Voluntary blocking” service, but differs in the sequence of actions performed. So, first of all, log in to your personal account and go to the “Blocking” item, which is located at the bottom of the page. Then you will see a new page on which you need to skip the item regarding setting a voluntary block and click on the “Next” button. The next step is to confirm your actions. If you do everything correctly, the number will be permanently blocked. Of course, you can insert a SIM into your phone, but on its screen you will only see an inscription about searching for a network: no access to the Internet, no calling, no sending text message will be impossible.

  • Through the customer support center. If you are not used to using your personal account, and blocking a SIM card through it is not clear to you, then calling a specialist can solve the problem. To contact an operator who knows how to block SIM cards, pick up the phone and dial the short number 0890. If you are about to make a call from landline phone or from the network of another mobile operator, you will have to dial the number 88002500890. After a short conversation with an MTS employee, the SIM will be permanently blocked.
  • When contacting brand salon MTS communications. This option considered the most reliable. Take your passport and go to the nearest operator’s office, where a qualified specialist will as soon as possible will solve your problem.
