The most budget computer for gaming. Selection of computer components

Date: 02/24/2017

Hi all?

Want to choose a powerful gaming computer in 2017?

I offer you the most optimal configurations for any budget - from super-cheap builds for 20 thousand to “dream” computers costing 200 thousand.

Now is the time to think about which gaming computer to buy. The beginning of the year is the best time for this.

Even if such a purchase is not included in your plans in the near future, bookmark this text - the assemblies selected in it will be relevant throughout the year. So, how to choose a gaming computer in 2017.

General points

You will learn how to choose exactly system unit. When choosing a mouse, monitor and keyboard, everything is simpler - here the choice depends on your capabilities and preferences.

We assembled the configurations discussed in the review on Intel processors. Just the other day, this company changed the generation of processors, but the new KabyLake is only slightly superior to Skylake, although they may be more expensive.

Since for a gaming computer great importance has a video card, we selected all the assemblies from tested Skylake, indicating the most Alternative option KabyLake.

Computer costing from 20,000 rubles

The minimum budget with which you can think about assembling a gaming computer.

You'll have to give up the video card, but the graphics subsystems Intel processors have made great strides forward in Lately, so a budget Pentium G4500 will be enough.

We take the OEM version processor, a good and fairly cheap CoolerMaster DP6 cooler, and add the AS Rock H100M-DGS motherboard.

We don’t have enough money for an SSD drive, but we can easily limit ourselves to a disk Western Digital WD10EZEX is quite reliable.

Let's also take a Deepcool DN400 power supply with a power of 400 watts, since our version will add a separate video card in the future.

The final configuration of such a computer:

  1. Power supply: Deepcool DN400 - 2500 rubles.
  2. Processor – 4500 rubles.
  3. Housing – 2200 rubles.
  4. Cooler – 500 rubles.
  5. Western Digital WD10EZEX 1 TB drive – 3,000 rubles.
  6. Motherboard – 3000 rubles.
  7. RAM – 3700 rubles.

Total – 20,000 rubles. Agree, not bad considering that such a PC has enough capabilities for many games.

Computer costing from 35 thousand rubles

A third of the budget in this option will go to the Palit GTX 1050 Ti video card. This version has twice the memory capacity - exactly what you need for games.

We save on the processor and buy an IntelCore i3-6100 (two cores, but 3.7 GHz is enough to unlock the card’s potential). We take more powerful cooler taking into account that the load will be large - Deepcool Gammax 200T.

Motherboard - MSI B150M Bazooka, HDD WD 10 EZEX and add 8 gigabytes Kingston memory Hyper XFury DDR4.

All that remains is to add a power supply, take a 500 watt one - Aero Cool KCAS 500W. As for the case, any from Zalman (Z1 or Z1 Neo) is suitable.

Final configuration:

  1. Housing – 2500 rubles.
  2. Processor – 8000 rubles.
  3. Power supply – 3000 rubles.
  4. Cooler – 800 rubles.
  5. HDD drive – 3000 rubles.
  6. Video card – 10,000 rubles.
  7. Motherboard – 5000 rubles.
  8. RAM – 4200 rubles.

We get a pretty good gaming computer.

Gaming computer starting from 50,000 rubles

This configuration is almost identical to the previous one. You spend the remaining 15,000 on replacing the processor (quad-core Intel Core i5-6400) and video card for 8000 (MSI GTX 1060 with 6 GB of memory). You will also need a more powerful power supply - Cireftec CTG-650C.

As a result, for this amount we get a fairly solid PC on which to play modern online games. Yes, not always maximum settings, but close to them.

Gaming computer starting from 85,000 rubles

In this option, a significant part of the budget will be spent on GTX video card 1070. Let's take Core processor i5-6600K, Deepcool Gammaxxx cooler, Asus Z170-A motherboard. This combination allows you to increase the frequency from the base 3.5 GHz to 4.5 GHz.

We increase the RAM – Western Digital WD20EZRZ by 2 terabytes and SSD Kingston SHFS37A by 120 GB. Add a 750-watt AeroCool VX-750 power supply. The assembly should be packaged in the Aero Cool Xpredator X3 case.

Configuration:

  1. Housing – 7000 rubles.
  2. Processor – 17,000 rubles.
  3. Power supply – 3500 rubles.
  4. Cooler – 1200 rubles.
  5. SSD drive – 3500 rubles.
  6. Video card – 30,000 rubles.
  7. RAM – 8200 rubles.
  8. Motherboard – 9200 rubles.
  9. HDD drive – 5000 rubles.

We get a system on which you can easily play various modern projects at maximum in FullHD.

Computer dream

The most expensive of the options, but also cool. It will require the most advanced software this moment GTX video card.

Moreover, we take two Palit GTX 1080 Game Rock Premium. We purchase a flagship Intel chip Core i7-6700K, MSI Z170A Gaming M7 motherboard, water cooling – Cooler Master LiquidPro 240.

The RAM is sufficient as before - Kingston Hyper XFury DDR4 2133 MHz, but now it is 2 sticks of 16 GB each. We install a WD30EFRX 3 TB hard drive. For RAM we take a Kingston SM2280S3G2 with a capacity of 480 GB.

Such a system requires a Thermaltake TPG-1050M kilowatt power supply and a Cooler Master StormTrooper case.

Configuration:

  1. body – 12,500 rubles.
  2. Processor – 23,000 rubles.
  3. Power supply – 13,000 rubles.
  4. Water cooling – 9000 rubles.
  5. SSD drive – 10,000 rubles.
  6. Video card (2 pieces) – 90,000 rubles.
  7. HDD drive – 8000 rubles.
  8. Motherboard – 15,000 rubles.
  9. RAM – 15,000 rubles.

We get the most powerful gaming computer.

In conclusion, I note that we did not indicate the cost of assembly, so you will have to pay extra if you do not understand this yourself.

The situation with gaming computers may already change by the summer of 2017, but the configurations are unlikely to change much.

2018 has not yet been very kind to lovers of advanced computer hardware. Prices for RAM are rising, the cost of new processors from Intel is consistently high, and high-performance video cards are being bought en masse by miners. At the same time, solid-state drives, on the contrary, have fallen in price since January of this year.

If you don’t want to wait, you can start assembling a configuration that will delight you with new AAA projects now.

What does Steam say?

The gaming platform Steam regularly collects data on the popularity of components from certain vendors among players.

CPU

Last year, AMD burst into the processor market with its new Ryzen product, displacing Intel. But Steam statistics show that over the past six months, processors from AMD have seriously lost in popularity to solutions from Intel.

AMD is significantly reducing the prices of Ryzen processors, aiming to sell them out before the release of the new generation Zen processors+, which should hit shelves in April. At the same time, new generation processors Coffee Lake Intel is in no hurry to get cheaper.

So now there is a good chance to purchase a processor from AMD at a low price, which will be relevant in the next few years.

Video card

According to research by analysts Jon Peddie Research, AMD video cards won 33.7% of the market from NVIDIA. This is due to the cryptocurrency gold rush - AMD adapters are always popular among miners.

System

Interestingly, the most common language among Steam users is Chinese, spoken by as many as 63.93% of players. Analysts attribute this to the growing popularity of PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds in Asia.

What you need to know if you buy a video card second-hand

Online trading platforms, such as Avito, are inundated with offers for the sale of used components. This is due in no small part to cryptocurrency miners. Moreover, among them there are both seasoned miners and newcomers who belatedly joined the general hobby and are now disappointed in this matter.

For the first ones, the hardware worked non-stop and paid for itself long ago, having become rather shabby. The second ones did not really use their video cards, and now they are trying to minimize losses.

There is no clear answer to the question of whether it is worth buying used hardware. There are fierce discussions on the forums. Opponents of used components emphasize equipment wear and violation temperature regime. There are also those who snatched up an excellent video card on the cheap and are now agitating to buy components from their own hands. Some even believe that a video card that has been tested through hard work in a mining rig will withstand anything after that.

What should you pay attention to when buying a used video card?

Buying used electronics is always a risk. If you still decide to save money, you should do the following:

  • Check the documents for the video card. Please note the date of purchase and the expiration date of the warranty. Avoid purchasing a video card without documents and packaging.
  • Inspect the video card for burnt or broken components, scratches and darkened PCB. Blackened or yellowed PCB is a sign of constant overheating of the video card. This may also signal that the owner of the dying video card tried to revive it with a hairdryer. In this case, you need to refuse the purchase.
  • Check the cooling system. If the fans on the adapter are not original, this is a sign that the video card was mercilessly heated and the cooling was replaced before sale.
  • A video card that looks normal should be tested using heavy games and benchmarks. The proven FurMark will do. If this causes crashes or graphical artifacts, do not buy the video card.
  • Run GPU-Z and make sure that the actual characteristics of the video card match those indicated on the manufacturer’s website.
  • If you suspect that you have been mining with your video card, run any miner on it, such as MultiMiner or NiceHash. If graphic artifacts appear during operation, it means that everything that is possible has already been squeezed out of this video card.

All these manipulations will not give a 100% guarantee that the card will work. Be careful and don't trust suspicious sellers.

Assembling a gaming computer

When starting to build a gaming system, you will first have to decide whose processor and motherboard to use - AMD or Intel, and whose video card - AMD or NVIDIA. Their components are approximately equivalent in performance. So be guided by the prices and availability of certain parts in stores.

The presented configurations for different budgets will allow you to assemble the optimal machine for gaming. The assemblies indicate the main components, excluding the periphery. Parts such as the case, power supply, and cooling are included in the budget, but not mentioned separately.

Budget 35,000 rubles

This build will allow you to play most games in Full HD on medium graphics settings. It's a budget solution, but you'll save a lot of money.

  • Processor and motherboard: AMD Ryzen 3 1200 and AMD B350 or Intel Pentium G4600 and Intel H110 Express.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 470.
  • RAM: 1 × 8 GB DDR4-2400/2666.
  • Storage: HDD, 1 TB.

Budget 60,000 rubles

The assembly is suitable for games in Full HD with high graphics settings. She won't need major upgrades in the next two years.

  • Processor and motherboard: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X and AMD B350 or Intel Core i3-8100 and Intel Z370 Express.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 480 Radeon RX 570/580.
  • RAM: 2 × 8 GB DDR4-2400.
  • Storage: HDD, 1 TB and SSD, 120 GB.

Budget 90,000 rubles

This system is capable of running games in Full HD at maximum graphics settings.

  • Processor and motherboard: AMD Ryzen 5 1600X and AMD B350 or Intel Core i5-8400 and Intel Z370 Express.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD Radeon RX 580.
  • RAM: 2 × 8 GB DDR4-320.
  • Storage: HDD, 1 TB and SSD, 120 GB or more.

Budget from 100,000 rubles

Configuration designed for WQHD games at high and maximum graphics settings.

  • Processor and motherboard: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X and AMD B350/X370 or Intel Core i7-8700 and Intel Z370 Express.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX Vega 56.
  • RAM: 2 × 8 GB DDR4-3200.
  • Storage: HDD, 1 TB and SSD, 240 GB or more.

Budget from 170,000 rubles

A configuration for seasoned gamers, capable of running any game in WQHD at maximum graphics settings.

  • Processor and motherboard: AMD Ryzen 7 1700X and AMD X370 or Intel Core i7-8700K and Intel Z370 Express.
  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.
  • RAM: 2 × 16 GB DDR4-3000/3200.
  • Storage: HDD, 1 TB and SSD, 250 GB or more.

You can create a more powerful system based on AMD Ryzen Threadripper or Intel Core i9-7900X. But this solution is for very advanced and filthy rich gamers and developers. For ordinary users such capacities are clearly excessive.

Naturally, solid state drives much faster than HDD. But their prices are higher, and the volumes are inferior to HDDs purchased for the same money. So in the cheapest option you can do without an SSD. In the future it will be possible to purchase additional solid state drive and get a performance upgrade by installing the system on it, increase RAM and replace the processor with a more productive one.

Modern games take up a lot of space; one 120 GB SSD for the system and games will not be enough. If you have some extra money left, it's worth increasing the size of your SSD.

Time passes, new games come out, the graphics become cooler, the gameplay components become more and more complex, and technical requirements to your gaming computer everything is higher. In addition, new technologies are emerging, such as virtual reality that you definitely want to try. And now, whether you like it or not, you have to beg money from mom look into your piggy bank in search of money to upgrade your computer to the new products of 2017.

It is worth noting that this year, despite the difficult economic situation both in the world and in Russia, such giants as Nvidia and AMD have taken a course of reducing component prices in order to make a powerful gaming computer more affordable for consumers, and, as a result, , allowing the use of VR technologies.

In the light of the approaching New Year's holidays and numerous sales in hypermarkets in your city/village/urban town (underline as appropriate), now is the time to upgrade or even build your gaming PC from scratch.

We'll look at several options for upgrading your gaming computer, in different price categories, so you don't have to worry too much about shortages Money in your budget , allocated by your mother.

BUDGET CONFIGURATION

And so, let’s say you’re fired up by ardent console fans, and you decide to firmly prove to them that for that kind of money you can play at 60 fps and at 1080p. Or your Jewish father, who does not understand computers for study, after looking at the cheapest assemblies on Yandex.Market, gave you only 30,000 wooden ones (which is more likely). Well, then you've come to the right place: in this section we'll look at components for low-budget gaming computers that can run most modern games at ultra settings.

CPU

This small silicon square is, in fact, the heart of everyone personal computer. It is he who is responsible for the processing speed of most processes in the system.

Basically, the load on processors in games occurs when performing all sorts of calculations, such as AI opponents, but sometimes, the processor can help sort out all sorts of tasks that overload the already exhausting video card.

A block of budget models with a fairly large resource reserve has long been formed on the market, so let’s take a look at them.

A very interesting stone is one of the basic processors of the AMD FM2+ family with a powerful built-in video card. This processor has received many prestigious awards on most authoritative resources, including domestic ones. This is ideal for most budget users looking for an affordable base for a modern gaming PC. And if your budget for building a powerful gaming PC is limited to 20,000 rubles, this is an ideal option. Average cost on Yandex Market: 4480 rubles. Rating: 4.5

Intel Core i5-6500

The Core i5-6500 is the cheapest Skylake-based chip. The processor has four physical cores, 6 MB of last level cache and support for DDR4 memory. The processor is installed in LGA socket 1151, which, in turn, can be found on literally any motherboard within our budget. Overall this is a good option for your gaming computer with a budget of 30,000-40,000 rubles. Average cost on Yandex.Market: 13370 Russian pesos. Rating: 4.5

Intel Core i5-6600K

The chip is slightly better in performance than the previous copy, but is also inserted into the LGA 1151 socket. This makes it a little more expensive to manufacture, but, fortunately, the processor does not come with a price tag: average cost in 16610 wooden - will fit just right into your budget up to 50,000 rubles. Rating: 4.5

Motherboard

It just so happens that this big thing connects all the components of your computer into a single whole, and therefore it is highly not recommended to disdain the choice of this thing. But the main thing you should pay attention to is the processor socket. Processors from various companies and different generations, often have different types of sockets, and by buying a motherboard on a go-ahead basis, you risk severely limiting yourself in choosing a processor. From the above, it is worth concluding that before buying a “mother,” first of all, select a processor.

ASUS A88X-PRO

Maternal ASUS board The A88X-PRO can be fully used to build a powerful gaming computer. If in the future you are planning a powerful upgrade of your computer, then its capabilities allow you to combine several video cards into a CrossFire X system, thanks to which your computer’s performance will increase several times. We added this board to our list for good reason: it has an FM2+ socket, which makes it compatible with the processor presented above - AMD Athlon X4 860K. The A88X-PRO also has a very tasty price tag at 4700 rubles . Rating: 5.0

MSI H110M PRO-D

Since performance is important to us, and we are not going to overclock, install M.2 drives or multiple video cards, this motherboard on the H100 chipset is perfect for our mid-range setup. When building a system on a budget, it has everything you might need, especially if you're going to install a discrete graphics card. And although this particular board on the H110 chipset may be inferior to others, at least in terms of power consumption and heating, it still remains a very good choice. Average price on Yandex.Market: 3,251 rubles. Rating: 4.0

ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4

ASRock Fatal1ty Z170 Gaming K4 is positioned as an entry-level model in the segment of motherboards Intel chipset Z170. It is devoid of any frills, everything is extremely simple. This board does not support the mode Nvidia SLI, but let's be honest with each other: you decided to buy this fee in order to save money, and installing two or more video cards does not particularly fit with the concept of “budget”. Price: 8166 Russian pence. Rating: 4.0

Video card

Oh gods, finally this tongue-tied bore has reached the most important component in your future gaming PC - the video card. And it’s true, you can’t go anywhere without it: high-quality textures, all kinds of shaders, geometry processing - the entire picture displayed on your screen is its service. What to choose? And here we will help you.

AMD Radeon RX 480

With the gaming industry suddenly talking about virtual reality, AMD, quickly taking a look at the cost of VR peripherals, decides to release the cheapest and most powerful video card for $150. The result is a completely suitable product, comparable in power and performance to the GeForce GTX 970 and Radeon R9 390. All this, coupled with reduced power consumption and future-proof memory capacity, makes the Radeon RX 480 a worthy candidate for installation in your gaming system. Price list: from 14,000 rubles. CPU

Intel Core i7-6950X

All factors indicate that the i7-6950X is not a processor for gamers. On the other hand, it was never intended for games. Its fantastic $1,700 price tag makes it clear target audience, and these are professionals who need large quantities cores and high clock speeds on a single-processor platform. However, if you want to get moral satisfaction by showing that you have the longest, then this is the option for you. The processor will clearly not become obsolete soon, and therefore you don’t even have to worry when purchasing this precious stone for 118,000 rubles . Rating: 5.0

Intel Core i7-6800K

On the other hand, there is the Core-i7-6800K - a good option for gamers who want to build the most affordable platform based on the X99 chipset, especially if they use one or two video cards. Hi all! In the current crisis, super budget computer builds are simply wildly popular. More and more people who want to play with weak toys and at the same time save as much money as possible come to our service center every day. That is why I decided to show you the assembly of the most minimal hardware that can be considered gaming. Yes, quite recently we already published an article where we described, but the situation on the market has changed somewhat since then, so I decided to bring you up to date. Particularly close attention today will be paid to the heart and brain of the steel stallion, namely the video card and processor. The remaining components in ultra-budget builds do not greatly affect performance and only on them can you save money by cutting down on your own appetites in terms of comfortable use and various features such as additional slots for video devices, additional USB ports, a large amount of memory, etc., etc.

So let's get started. We start, as always, with a small stone dealing with computational processes. In the last build we had a Pentium G4560. In his price category it still remained the flagship. In the article where I am, I described in great detail why I drowned, am drowning and will drown for this percentage. In short - lack of worthy competitors, price, output performance, modern socket, low temperatures. I will review hardware prices in a well-known and accessible, albeit not the cheapest, store - CSN.

CPU

It will cost us 4199 rubles. Just above I mentioned that the market situation has changed somewhat. And she changed as follows. As all the people working with hardware predicted, the i3 6100 will gather dust on the shelves for a long time after the release of the hemp. That’s what happened, and it would have continued to gather dust, but! Intel Company Looking at this situation, I realized that this state of affairs did not suit them, and decided to discontinue production of the newly created hemp in order to somehow increase sales of third-line processors. Already now you can see how all G4560 are gradually disappearing from store shelves. Soon there won't be any of them at all. Therefore, if you were thinking about buying a budget PC or about buying this particular processor, now is the time, then you won’t have time. You will have to overpay 2-3 thousand rubles for a processor with similar performance.

Video card

Next in line is . Last time, I recommended taking the GTX 1050 for this stone, and there I also wrote in detail why exactly. But as it turned out in practice, for many clients, paying 7.5-8 thousand rubles for a video card is a lot, and for most, such power is excessive (although, in my opinion, this pair is perfectly balanced). Plus, miners have sold out all the cards and it’s very difficult to get even a GTX 1050 now. Well, here’s a way out of this situation - GeForce GT 1030! A very recently released map from Nvidia, which, according to them, is designed specifically for light multiplayer games like Dota2, CS GO, World of Tanks and others. The tenth line of video cards from the greens is famous for its performance, and the youngest card in this series also performed well. It is equipped with 2 gigs of video memory, which is the necessary minimum for light games (there is a separate article about this), has a modern type of GDDR5 memory and is characterized by low power consumption.

It will cost us 4,750 rubles. Among the disadvantages of this card, I would like to note the high operating temperatures. They reach 80 degrees! However, this is only for versions with a radiator and without a cooler. Therefore, I recommend taking models only with additional good cooling.

Motherboard

As for the motherboard, I am not a supporter of saving on this component. And there is also a detailed article about why. Personally, I would take a motherboard for 4-4.5 thousand rubles, taking into account the compatibility with other components, but you can of course save money (I will write a separate article about the consequences of saving on a motherboard). Fortunately, good mothers are not needed for mining (otherwise we would be left without them) and all stores provide us with a huge selection.

power unit

The choice for this system turned out to be very simple. The energy consumption of all components is very low and even 250 watts of power is enough for us. We choose according to budget. On average, such a block will cost 2,500 rubles.

Cooler

If you believe the characteristics of our processor, then its heat dissipation is only 54 W. Absolutely anyone can handle this amount of heat. You can also read the article about how to choose a cooler. We throw to total cost another ridiculous 400 rubles.

RAM

Since our system will be designed for undemanding games that consume a small amount and, given that we have a small budget, I would take one of the cheapest 4gb memory sticks, leaving one slot for a potential upgrade. The most modern type of RAM will cost us 2 thousand rubles.

HDD

You can’t save a lot, and you don’t want to sacrifice the security of your stored data, so I recommend everyone the timeless classic – WD Blue 500gb. 2899 rubles.

Frame

And finally, there is a housing that will help you choose. The most budget solutions will cost us an average of 1,500 rubles.

So, if we calculate the price of our assembly, we get 21-23 thousand rubles. Yes, the price was the same as in previous build, but we didn’t buy the power supply and case there, since the client already had them and simply migrated to updated version PC. If you have a suitable power supply, hard drive and case (and this very often happens), then you can also leave them, and then the assembly will cost you 15,000 rubles. If you want to collect even cheaper, then you can forget about comfortable gameplay even in light games. I specifically focused my attention mainly on the video card and processor, because the situation on the market has changed only regarding them, while the remaining components always remain in stock and do not increase in price. Bring some specific models cases, power supplies, coolers, motherboards and I did not purposefully recommend them for purchase, because on the site you can read detailed articles to which I left links in this publication, analyze them and, based on what you read, make a competent and informed choice. I just recommended a specific combination of a processor and a video card, which are the necessary minimum for undemanding games, and calculated how much the total assembly from scratch with all the other components in an ultra would cost budget segment! That's all, see you soon!

PC assembly for gaming can be an expensive pleasure. It's easy to put together a box or two that can cost $2,000 or $3,000. Can everyone afford such a car? Of course not. In fact, many people are on a budget. But that doesn't mean you can't build a car you can be proud of. If you're careful with your parts selection, you can still build an impressive computer that can handle today's games just fine.

A budget gaming PC usually creates more problems than a gaming PC, which costs from 1500 dollars and higher. Finding parts for these machines may seem like a nightmare, but this article will help you build a budget PC that won't break the bank.

This build was created with a budget of $800 , not including additional functions such as an optical drive and a large hard drive. It basically does not contain unnecessary expensive components such as the case, memory and even the processor, instead we spend almost the entire budget on the video card. This build is a good basis for future component improvements. (If you think that $800 dollars for a computer is a big cost, then we suggest that you familiarize yourself with our " " assembly, the cost of which is about $500 )

Performance-wise, you should expect this build to run games very well. 1080p And 1440p, but at an average level in 4K. What is not good is using CPU intensive tasks such as: video editing, streaming, as well as CPU-intensive games: Civilization VI or Ashes of Singularity, but that's to be expected given the price and ultra-budget processor.

The final cost also does not include the purchase of the operating system and any peripheral devices. Check out our buying guides best mouse, keyboard or gaming monitor to fully immerse yourself in the games (link will be available later).

We created this list in Q4 2017. Product prices may change greatly by the time you read the article. The prices shown here are an average between Russian stores (DNS, Technopoint, Yulmart) and American ( Amazon, Newegg and Gameseek).

CPU Processor: Intel Pentium G4560

We settled on this particular processor, but the choice was quite difficult. After many hours of searching for problems with kernels, cache, Hyper-Threading And clock frequency, the determining factor that most influenced the purchase was price.

We haven't seen a Hyper-Threaded Pentium since the Pentium 4 and Pentium D in the mid-2000s. A lot has changed over the past ten years, but the budget price limit for Pentium G4560- US$65, including radiator and Intel fan. This makes the processor potentially one of the most interesting budget processors Intel over the years.

One of the main reasons we chose this processor is that it is a good budget CPU for the given conditions. We didn't choose the Core i3-7100, which for an extra $60 offers only minor improvements when it comes to gaming. The next step after this would be i3-7350K which will require an unlocked motherboard for overclocking, or i5-7400, which is definitely an upgrade, but also costs a lot more.

In our case, think about G4560 how about an intermediate processor. At $65, it allows us to pour our entire budget into a graphics card. This means you'll be able to play games well at 1080p and 1440p, but you won't be able to fully run complex tasks on the CPU without any issues.

GPU video card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070.

Thanks to price reductions for a number of our components, we have assembled our budget computer around a powerful video card GeForce GTX 1070. At launch this card cost $450 or more, and back then it was good price. Since then, prices have dropped to $400 and below, sometimes as low as $300. In this price category GTX 1070 is an incredible graphics card. Please note that the cryptocurrency rush has now increased GPU prices, so be patient and visit stores often.

GTX 1070 is capable of delivering 100 FPS at 1080p in most games, and also works well at 1440p. It's worth noting that FPS was measured several months ago, so this estimate is outdated as games have become more optimized and new drivers have been released. Today the card issues 111 frames per second.

Motherboard: ASRock B250M Pro4

Like most components in our assembly, ASRock B250M Pro4- This is a budget motherboard. The motherboard contains dual M.2 slots, four DIMM, as well as USB 3.0 Type C port, everything is mATX. This board allows you to install 4 dies random access memory, if you need additional RAM.

RAM: 16GB DDR4 (2x8GB)

You can never have too much RAM. Everyone knows this. In general, with today's requirements, there is no point in taking less 8GB memory, since 4 and 6 gigabytes are usually used in laptops and desktop computers for work, but not for games. If you need more memory, the motherboard supports 4 RAM sticks.

We're not going to recommend a specific RAM brand or frequency to you as prices fluctuate daily. Quite a lot of tests were carried out, the purpose of which was to study how the frequency of RAM affects it. In most tests, the performance gain was minimal, so overpaying several tens of dollars for speed is pointless. Another piece of advice that professionals give is that if you decide to take 8GB of memory, then split it into 2, rather than take 1 stick.

SSD Memory: Crucial MX300 275GB

Usage SSD is essential for a gaming PC. In case of installation HDD without SSD, you can save money great amount money and win in the amount of memory, but you will lose a lot in speed. They usually install on a flash drive operating system and games with programs that will load many times faster than if it were on the HDD. Our choice fell on Crucial MX300 with 275 GB, which is a good option for the first build. In a subsequent improvement, you can add a 500 or 1000GB HDD, on which all images, documents and other files will be stored.

Power supply: EVGA 450W 80+ Bronze PSU

As with memory, most power supplies from major suppliers tend to be of high quality, and it's not worth compromising on PSU quality. It's semi modular EVGA 450W 80+ Bronze certified unit that comes with a 3-year warranty.

Case: Fractal Design Core 1100

This is a micro-ATX mini case that gives plenty of space for assembly, and also opens up options for purchasing cheaper motherboards mATX boards. Fractal Design is one of the most well-known case manufacturers, and the Core 1100 is a great example for a budget build. It has 1x USB 3.0, 1x USB 2.0 and front panel audio ports. It also features a 120mm 1200 RPM fan, along with dust filters on the front and sealed panels on the top and bottom.
