Samsung galaxy note n8000 Chinese copy. Flashing Chinese tablet Samsung n8000

If you are the owner of a Chinese tablet Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 n8000 and you need to do a hard reset (return to factory settings), then read this article.

There are times when you need to reset your settings due to an application error, a virus being introduced to the operating system, or you simply want to delete all information from your tablet.

The reasons for system failure may be due to memory overload (many applications, games and other programs were once installed). Also, the tablet may, in addition to errors with the OS, simply not turn on or turn off. The gadget may freeze, load slowly, etc., then resetting the settings will also help.

There are several ways to perform a hard reset: software and hardware reset.

Difference between reset methods

They differ in that during a soft reset you can select deletion items. The information will be deleted from the memory card and from the operating system memory. With a hard reset, you cannot select uninstall options. Thus, it is always better to save information from your tablets on media whenever possible, because... All installed applications, account data, personal data and settings are deleted. And even if you want to return your firmware later, this will not be possible unless you “reflash” the tablet again.

Do not forget that you do all these actions at your own peril and risk; we recommend taking your tablet to a service center where specialists will help you.

Soft reset

A soft reset is much easier to do than a hardware reset. To do this, you need to go to the menu, then to settings. Find the item “accounts” or “personal data”, click on “backup and reset”, or on “restore and reset”. Then go to the “reset settings/data” item. This way you can reset your Samsung n8000 to factory settings and delete all data.

Hard reset

To perform a hard reset, you must hold down the “Volume +” and “Power” buttons from the off or on state, holding them for about 5-7 seconds. After the “Android system recovery” window appears, stop holding the buttons. Next, select the “wipe data\factory reset” item using the volume key and confirm with the “Power” button. In the same way, confirm the item “Yes – delete all user data”. All. Factory reset has started. You just need to click “reboot system now”.

Perhaps the most unpleasant trap that a future tablet user can fall into when purchasing it is a fake. One of the most popular models for copying by scammers recently has been the Samsung n8000 tablet computer.

Chinese tablet Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 n8000

From a logical point of view, this is quite understandable - the Samsung n8000 has all the characteristics of a modern tablet in the above-average category: good resolution 10.1-inch screen, powerful processor, large amount of memory, etc. Not to mention the fact that the very name of Samsung has long become synonymous with quality and advanced technologies in the mobile device market.

The price of a real Samsung n8000 does not fall below 500 USD. At the same time, more and more often messages appear on the Internet about identified counterfeits that were purchased second-hand or even in communication shops for mere pennies. As a rule, the user ends up with a device whose capabilities are very limited compared to the original.
For example, the screen resolution of a Chinese counterfeit Samsung n8000 tablet may be significantly lower, the battery may well be old and used, which means it will no longer be able to hold a charge well or will constantly fail. In addition, you should not expect official Samsung applications (such as Samsung Apps) to work normally on such a device; they may not even be there.

How to recognize a Chinese counterfeit Samsung n8000 tablet

  • Due to the low screen resolution, icons and other elements in the fake model look unnaturally large. As a rule, by the way, on the box or instructions for the device there is an image of a real tablet with small icons. Just compare them.
  • A low-quality battery very often reveals a fake. Pay attention to how the charge indicator behaves, and also, of course, the battery life. In the original tablet it should be at least 40 hours in standby mode.
  • The camera application may be significantly limited in its functionality, and pictures and videos may be of lower quality. The original tablet has a 5 MP rear camera with 4x zoom and LED flash.
  • The real amount of free memory of a fake often does not correspond to what is stated in the documentation. This can be seen, for example, when connecting a tablet to a PC.
  • By the way, problems in recognizing the device through the Samsung Kies program may also indicate a fake.

Back in 2012, the Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 tablet was introduced. Despite the fact that this model has been on the market for more than 2 years, it continues to sell successfully. It is its parameters and characteristics that will be discussed in this review.

CPU

The heart of this tablet PC is the Exynos CPU model 4412. This is Samsung's own design. It includes four revision A9 cores operating at a frequency of 1.3 GHz. It is the combination of these characteristics that allows the Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 to cope with any task without any problems. Again, all the features implemented in the AWS architecture function successfully in this silicon crystal. This includes disabling unused cores and lowering the clock frequency of an unused module. All this allows you to significantly save battery life. Overall, an excellent combination of performance and energy efficiency, which is the hallmark of all devices built on this architecture.

Graphics subsystem

To perform graphic functions, the Mali-400 MP4 adapter is integrated into this device. Of course, at the time the tablet was released, it made it possible to solve all tasks without exception. But now its computing power is no longer enough for demanding applications. The screen resolution is 1280 pixels by 800 pixels. Moreover, its diagonal is 10.1 inches. This is enough for normal and comfortable work, but a certain graininess of the picture will be present. Another disadvantage is the glossy finish of the screen. All finger touches will be imprinted on it.

A definite plus is the presence of a capacitive sensor, which is highly sensitive. Another advantage is support for up to five touches simultaneously. But now cheaper devices can boast of this feature. Despite the presence of certain comments, the graphics system of the Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 is well balanced, and its capabilities will be sufficient for the needs of most users.

Memory

The memory subsystem of the Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 is simply excellent. Reviews from satisfied owners of this gadget are further confirmation of this. It has 2 GB of RAM. Now, 2 years later, not every tablet or smartphone is equipped with that much RAM. The built-in memory is 16 GB - this volume is enough to store several films or a library of books. In addition, there is a slot for installing a MicroSD card up to 32 GB in size. You can also use an OTJ cable to connect an external regular flash drive with a capacity of up to 16 GB. In general, the memory system subsystem in this case scores five points out of five possible. It can also be quickly increased without problems by connecting an additional memory card or flash drive.

Frame

The strengths of the Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 cannot be considered. Reviews only confirm this. There are two options for its design - white (for a female audience) and black (more official). Case material - plastic. It scratches easily, and it is not resistant to impacts. Therefore, it is better to immediately buy a case in the kit that will protect this tablet from damage. The situation is similar with the screen. It is made of ordinary plastic and is also not resistant to cracks. So you need to immediately put on a protective film to prevent it from being scratched or damaged. These measures will significantly extend the operating time of this device.

Battery

The Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 has a mediocre battery. The Chinese version in this case is even worse. The proprietary device uses a 7000 milliampere/hour lithium-ion battery. This capacity is enough for one day of comfortable work. Although, with a not very intense load, its charge can last for two days. But still not enough today. Now there are already batteries with a capacity of 10,000 milliampere/hour, and this is enough for 3 days of active use. But the Chinese copy has even less - 3000 milliamps/hour, which is enough for half a day of work. So before purchasing, you must definitely check the modification of the device. In addition, the rest of the technical specifications in the Chinese version are significantly worse than those of the original.

Software

Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 runs on the Android operating system with outdated version 4.0.4. This is quite enough to run most offers. But still, some programs (for example, the An-Tu-Tu tester) require version 4.1. Most likely, the system software of this Tablet PC will no longer be updated. Therefore, owners will have to work with what is available. This nuance must be taken into account before purchasing.

Communications

Galaxy Note N8000 is equipped with a rich set of communications. First of all, these are Bluetooth (perfect for connecting other mobile devices), Wi-Fi (provides maximum data exchange speed when connecting to the Internet) and a 4G modem. The last option allows this device to function in any mobile networks that exist today. At the same time, the owner of the tablet is not tied to anything, but can exchange data with the global web in any corner of the globe where there is mobile communication. Also, do not forget that it is possible to make calls. True, it’s better to talk with headphones. The tablet has a large diagonal, so it is not entirely convenient to use it for these purposes. Among wired communications, there is the ability to connect via a universal serial interface USB. For navigation, transmitters for working with GPS and GLONASS systems are integrated into the gadget. This will allow you to easily determine your location. All this is enough to comfortably fill this device with all the necessary information and navigate around the area.

Results

In terms of technical specifications and software, the Samsung Galaxy Note N8000 looks impeccable. The price is very high. Similar tablet personal computers from other manufacturers are much cheaper. For example, Lenovo Yoga can be purchased much cheaper. A device from Samsung costs 450 dollars, and a similar device from a Chinese manufacturer is valued at 375. From this side, buying a device from a Korean manufacturer is not entirely justified.

A hard reset did not help (resetting to factory settings), this was the first time I encountered such a problem, so the first solution was to seek help from experts. I took it to one miracle workshop, where it lay for almost half a year.. They couldn’t find the firmware in any way.. My patience came to an end, I took it away. On the way home I picked up a few more pros. They promised to do it within a day. To come pick it up in the evening - it turns out they didn’t ask for it. The answer is the same - they can’t find the firmware. They returned it in the same condition that I gave it to them.

Well, it wasn’t, I thought and decided to make my contribution to the repair of this unit, it can’t get any worse. After rummaging through the forums at home, reading how and what they use to sew such devices, I realized that the most important thing is to guess the firmware version. There were a lot of firmware options online for similar Samsung Galaxy Nout counterfeits. So I started downloading and trying them.

The most popular firmware for this device on the network turned out to be this: MaPan_MX913_DC_Jelly_Bean_4.1os_Root_Firmware_D20130601_UP And MaPan_MX913_DC_Jelly_Bean_4.2_Os_Root_Firmware_J20131101, but they completely lacked touchscreen support. That is, everything is beautiful, even if it’s in Chinese, but you can’t move your finger across the screen, you can only control the tablet from the keyboard, which turned out to be very inconvenient. I started looking for other options. On the site w3bsit3-dns.com and other similar sites, I found a lot of useful information. And having tried 100500 firmware, I never found one that would work with the tablet normally. Some worked with the touchscreen, but it had a dead zone about a centimeter from below, others had the calibration of pressing the screen knocked down, that is, you had to point your finger a centimeter below, others did not have a motion sensor or accelerator, some were in Mexican or completely in Arabic languages and so on. In general, I was tired of looking for a pig in a poke and I remembered that when I disassembled this tablet, I took several pictures of its insides and decided to look at the markings on them. The fact that there was a miracle processor there

All Winner A13 I remembered, and it didn’t give me anything, but what other inscriptions were there... After looking through the photos, I found this treasured inscription on one of the boards of the nameless tablet: “For-Fun Q3 Main v1.4”.

Well, now at least there was some other clue. Having gone to the software repository on mail ru through the same wonderful site 4PDA, I found several firmware for "For-Fun Q3 Main v1.4". Well, there was little left to do. Having downloaded the one that weighed more, 624 meters, I uploaded it to my tablet, waited impatiently for it to reboot, and was upset, the tablet froze on the same inscription “android”, on the second try I was lucky, downloading this “ZET6223WTAROM” weighing in 446 megabytes, firmware, I got 100% results! The tablet started working. Everything, absolutely everything worked as it should. Loading speed, screen, touchscreen and Wi-Fi - everything worked perfectly. I didn’t even imagine how it would be possible to upload a lot of cool applications to this China! The firmware turned out to be compiled on Android 4.0.4, which also pleased me, that is, it was more recent.

Well, now, in order, how and with what I did it all.

What we need: a computer with the Windows XP or Windows 7 32-bit operating system, the Phoenix suit program, a cord for connecting the tablet, firmware and the tablet itself.

First, you need to make preliminary preparations - setting up the tablet driver, both turned on and in firmware mode.
To do this we do the following:

1) install the Phoenix suit program on your computer (download)

2) We connect the switched on tablet, we hear the sound of the connected device, we see the ANDROID device in the equipment

we right-click on it Shki, select - Update driver

In the next window, select what is shown in the figure below

click what is shown below:

click next:

then "Install from disk":

then click on button "REVIEW" and indicate the path to the folder with the installed softwaregram Phoenix Suit\Drivers\AW_Driver

And click "OPEN", select usbdrv from the AW_Driver folder, click on "Open" again

and then to "OK"

The following window will appear with the driver that needs to be installed, ignoring the warning that it does not have a digital signature, click "NEXT"

the equipment will be installed and a message will appear indicating that everything is ready.

All the same actions need to be performed with the tablet in UPDATE mode (this is when it is turned off, press the "Volume +" button, hold it and connect it via a cord to the PC, the red indicator on the tablet lights up, but the screen does not light up. The device will definitely be like an unknown one , perform all the same actions described above). Otherwise, Phoenix Suit will not see the tablet and will not be able to flash it.

We launch it, and do not forget to make sure that no errors occurred during the installation process, the goodle driver was installed

2) download this firmware (download) or another.

Now the actual firmware:
We launch the Phoenix suit program, click on the “anchor” icon, select the firmware, connect the cord to the computer via USB, then with the tablet turned OFF, press the “Volume +” button, hold it, connect the cord to the tablet and quickly press (without releasing the “Volume +” button "Back button, the firmware will start automatically after detecting the device.

A lot has already been written here about the advantages of a working device and I agree with everyone, so let’s go straight to the disadvantages. The only thing I want to add is that I really liked SPen.. Writing texts, at least for me, was inconvenient, so after several attempts I abandoned this idea, but I really liked sketching out a primitive diagram of a room or a kitchen cabinet with dimensions.. much more convenient than do the same on a piece of paper, and then look for it.

I bought a tablet as a gift for my wife in December 2012. Therefore, the maximum configuration with 64GB was chosen. In April 2013, at one point he died - multi-colored ripples appeared on the screen and none of my manipulations (reboots, an attempt to completely reset, etc.) had a positive effect. I took it to the service center under warranty. Where they replaced the system board. After that it worked great for another 4 months. And so, while abroad, where it was especially needed as a navigator, a cartoon player for my daughter. a means of accessing the Internet and as a telephone (a local SIM card was inserted into it), for no apparent reason he simply passed out. Today I took it back to the service center, where in a conversation with the technician I found out that this problem periodically occurs with these 64GB tablets and is caused by filling the internal

Life time. Exactly equal to the warranty and that's all...With very careful handling, it turned off, discharged and no longer charges or turns on. They said it was a motherboard defect. At the service center, repairs cost 15 thousand. They offered to buy it for spare parts. Moreover, the connector for the pen was bent. I called the Samsung company, they told me (literally): “What do you want, this is technology...” This kind of treatment is visible to everyone. I don’t want to buy Samsung equipment anymore, especially expensive ones.

It is impossible to flash the 64 GB version (and downloading it from the manufacturer’s website will not help you) - if the firmware fails, then the tablet becomes a piece of iron, suitable only for selling the matrix.
After six months of use, large black squares began to appear on the display.
The stylus is difficult to use, so it is practically unnecessary.
    The tablet itself is heavy.
Adobe Flash Player, even if installed, does not work, so the video can only be watched on YouTube and on some sites.
When running text files it sometimes crashes.
When charging or accessing the Internet, it heats up quite noticeably.

    1. The appearance is not very good, in my opinion it’s just not good. The design is essentially from GalaxyTab. But Note is a flagship, it simply has to look beautiful and expensive!
    2. I think the price is too high, I took more than the third stub. Well, this is not normal, the Koreans are crazy!
    3. The charging cable is very short - 96 cm, it is missing everywhere, it is very annoying! When charging from the outlet, the tablet lies on the floor, from the computer - on the system unit.
    4. Expensive branded accessories. They even sell the docking station without a wire! Considering the length of the included cable, the docking station should be located almost on the power source (computer outlet), which is simply absurd. You can't put a tablet in a case in the Dock. The docking station is an expensive and useless thing, I don’t recommend buying it.
    5. There are many complaints about defects in the top version 64GB.

All sorts of people walk around train stations and offer expensive tablets for cheap.

The owner of this tablet was sold it just like that. There is the Internet, it says SamsungSamsung Galaxy note N8000, but in fact it is far from Samsung.

Looking ahead, I’ll say that it’s better to take it for yourself normal And good working tablet on the Internet, rather than having to worry about restoring the functionality of this fake. For example, this one. It will work perfectly without any glitches.

So, to the question of fake - this is what it looks like from the outside, in the case, and it even has a keyboard :)

When you turn it on, they assure you that it is Samsung. But we don't believe it.

Even on the back cover it says Samsung, but we are still tormented by doubts :)

Just because the original Galaxy note N8000 model looks different, Samsung has a front camera in the center, at least, and about five more significant differences can be found. Here's another option for you with the Samsung Galaxy Note N7000.

And when we open it we see the now quite popular Allwinner A13 chip

The actual problem was that it couldn’t boot. The Samsung logo appears, then Android, with a spinning arrow, and at one point the arrow freezes and the loading stops, the tablet freezes.

Thanks to the 4pda.ru forum, the firmware for this device was found from Jelly_Bean in this forum thread, it was flashed without problems, it works in full functionality. If you have the same model as I have in the photos, you need the firmware MaPan_MX913_DC_Jelly_Bean_4.2_Os_Root_Firmware_J20131101.img

Everything works, both cameras, wi-fi, volume buttons, everything is as it should.

We saved on the battery. The battery capacity is not enough for long-term operation of the device, only 2300 mAh (8.55 W)

The keyboard, by the way, also works and is fully functional, only for Russian letters you will need to install a third-party application.

Due to the numerous number of people asking what third-party application we are talking about, I answer. Russian Keyboard.

So, download the “Russian keyboard” program from the market. Go to “settings”, then “language and input”. Click "Default" and select "Russian keyboard" in the window that opens. Below the “Default” window, we also put a checkmark in front of “Russian keyboard”, and on the right we see a small icon (like a mixer, regulator) Click on it. Go to "hardware keyboard". Click "select layout", select "External Keyboard RU". We go to “switching layouts” and there we select the appropriate mode for switching the language on the keyboard (space is a spacebar). All is ready! Exit the settings menu and go to any search engine. Click on the small keyboard icon on the panel and select "Russian keyboard". We try to print - everything should work. If the keyboard still prints in Latin letters, restart the tablet.

The key combination works the same way as in Windows - Alt+tab :)

After flashing the firmware, we should see this picture in the settings.

When you turn on the tablet, after the Samsung splash screen, the Android sign appears on a green background and nothing else happens, or vice versa - first the Android icon, and behind it the “eternal” Samsung.

Entering the firmware mode

To flash the N8000 firmware, you need to use the LiveSuit program. The sequence of actions is as follows:

  1. Turn off the device. If enabled, press the power button and hold for about 10 seconds;
  2. Launch LiveSuit and point it to the required firmware file - Select Image button. Wait while the file is processed;
  3. Press "Sound +" on the tablet and while holding the button, connect to the USB connector;
  4. A window will appear with the following sentence: “Click Yes if you want the firmware to be updated with memory formatting. Click No if you need to update the firmware without formatting (Recommended)”;
  5. Wait for the flashing process to finish - about 3 minutes. The device will automatically reboot.
  6. Select Russian language in the settings. The default is usually English.

Programs required for firmware

The firmware program itself is LiveSuitPack 1.11.

An error occurs in the firmware when using the Play Market and you will not be able to download anything. The fact is that the firmware contains an old version of the program. Whatever you are looking for on the Internet, download Google Play Market from our website: Download Google Play Market 8.1. 29.
