The “Like” button from VKontakte has already appeared on many websites and blogs. Blog readers also asked me how to install that very treasured button. Today I decided to show you how it's done.

To put “Like” from VKontakte, you need, of course, to register on this social network (although, probably, there are only a few left who are not on VKontakte). Due to the fact that there are so many people on this social network, a button from VKontakte can be of great benefit - attract additional visitors.

How to install a button from VKontakte “I like”
  • First of all, go to the address http://vk.com/dev/Like(if you are not logged in, then do this).
  • Then fill out the following:
    Site/application: Connect a new site.
    Site Name: Enter the name of your site/blog.
    Website Address: Enter the address of your website/blog.
    Main site domain: Entered automatically based on the site address.
    Click “Save”.


  • Next, select the type of button, you will immediately see what the button will look like on the same page, just a little lower:


    Personally, I preferred to select the “Button with text counter” option. And I left the name of the button “ I like”, you can also put “This is interesting”.
  • Next we need to paste the code into the blog. In my opinion, the “Like” button from VKontakte should be at the end of the article so that the reader reads the article and, if he likes it, clicks on the button.
