How to call MTS at a friend's expense? At the expense of a friend mts. “Help out” service from MTS: description, how to use, connection and disconnection

The Internet assistant service from the mobile operator MTS provides its private clients with convenient opportunities to use communication services even with a zero balance. Every mobile subscriber has encountered similar situations when the services of a mobile device are blocked due to lack of funds, and you need to make an urgent call or transfer information. For such cases, the operator suggests using the “Help” service.

Main functions of the “Help out” service from MTS

  • Each MTS subscriber can connect to such an additional service through the Internet assistant menu;
  • After connecting to the service, a mobile user can call and send SMS messages to MTS numbers even with a zero balance;
  • Payment for communication services will be charged to the users to whom the subscriber makes a call;
  • The Help Out service is activated after a free request to connect via the Internet MTS Assistant is sent and is provided free of charge.

It is worth considering that sending SMS messages in the Belgorod, Bryansk, Vologda, Irkutsk, Kirov, Novosibirsk and Omsk regions is only available in the home region.

Using the service in your home region

  1. The service does not require prior registration or connection to use and is available to all subscribers.
  2. To send an SMS message to any MTS subscriber at his own expense, you must dial the digital code 5880 before his number (an SMS message is sent only after the recipient agrees to accept it at his own expense).
  3. To make a call at the expense of another subscriber, the user can dial the combination 0880 before the 10-digit mobile number.
  4. The call can also be made by calling the short number 0880 and making the call using the system prompts.
  5. The called user will receive an incoming call, which will be asked to accept at his own expense.
  6. You can accept such a call, refuse it, or find out about its cost and confirm your choice by pressing the appropriate keys.
  7. If the called subscriber is outside the network coverage area, he will receive an SMS message asking him to call back (up to 10 per day).

Additional lists of the “Vyruchai” service

Using the Internet assistant from MTS, subscribers can create a personal list of numbers for the Help Out service. You can also connect to such a service by dialing a simple number combination *111*785# from a mobile device. Thus, the user can personally add any numbers to the white and black lists of the service.

“White list” of the “Vyruchai” service

If you are ready to always receive paid incoming calls from some subscribers, then you can add these numbers to such a list through the settings of the MTS Internet assistant. After adding numbers, you will be able to receive calls and SMS messages without prior consent. To add numbers (up to 10) to the white list, you can use the following methods:

  1. Send an SMS message to the 8800 service with the content - 22*subscriber number.
  2. Dial the number combination - *880*22*subscriber number#.
  3. Dial *880#, item 2 in the menu and follow the system’s voice prompts.

To delete a number and your list you need to:

  • Use the Internet assistant system from MTS;
  • Use a set of numerical combinations similar to adding a number with replacing the code from “22” to “23”.

“Black list” of the “Vyruchai” service

You can also create a restricted list for 10 subscribers who will not be able to send you SMS messages and make incoming calls at your expense without prior refusal. Subscribers' requests will receive a notification about a reception ban. You can create such a list in the MTS Internet assistant or use similar dial combinations to activate the service, replacing “22” in the code with “26”.

To remove a number from the black list, replace the number “22” with “27”. If there is a number in the prohibited list that you want to add to the selected white list of subscribers, then the number must first be removed from the prohibited ones. Then, using a similar principle presented above, you can add the subscriber’s number to the allowed list of the service.

Agree, there is little pleasure in a situation when you need to make an urgent call, and the money suddenly runs out. But there is always a way out! If there is no money on your phone account, during the call you can offer your interlocutor to pay for the call. For these purposes, MTS has provided a special “Help out” service. Thanks to this option, you can not only make calls, but also send SMS at the expense of another MTS subscriber.

“Call at a friend’s expense” service on MTS

If your phone runs out of money and even if your number is blocked due to a negative balance, you can use the MTS “Help” service at any time and call another MTS subscriber at his expense.

You can make a call at the expense of another subscriber using the “Help out” option in two ways:

1 way: Call the service number 0880, and, after waiting for the connection, following the prompts of the autoinformer, dial the number of the subscriber you want to call.

Method 2: Dial the phone number of the called party using the code 0880. For example, if you want to call the number 89191234567, then you need to enter it: 08809191234567, after entering it, call.

In both cases, your potential interlocutor will receive a voice notification in which he will be asked to press the number 1 if he agrees to pay for the conversation. Or, if he does not agree to pay for the call, the subscriber must press the number 0.

Using the option, you can make calls at the expense of the interlocutor no more than 15 times a day.

If a call at your friend’s expense is unavailable to you or his subscriber has rejected it, you will receive a corresponding message. If the subscriber is unavailable for some reason or his phone is busy, he is sent an SMS notification inviting him to call you.

If communication is free for you, then the cost of the service for the subscriber receiving the call depends on the communication tariff he has chosen. If he has an unlimited tariff or a tariff with a fixed monthly fee and packages of minutes, the price of the service for 1 minute of conversation will be 50 kopecks (for international calls, roaming rates will be added to this amount).

The service has one caveat: it will be free for you only if the interlocutor is in your region.

If you are often bothered by calls from people who want to talk at your expense, then you can use option “Ban the service Help out”. You can do this:

  • Using a special command - dial USSD code *111*2158# and press the call button
  • Through your Personal Account on the MTS website, enable the prohibition of toll calls
  • Using SMS command - send a message with the text 2158 to number 111

You can create white and black lists for a service. If they often call you at your expense, so as not to confirm your consent to the call each time, you can add any number to the “White List”. Accordingly, unwanted subscribers can be added to the “Black List”. To activate the “Personal Help List” option, you should send a USSD command by dialing the code *111*785# or use your Personal Account.

What to do if your MTS mobile phone is blocked due to the fact that the money in your account has run out, and at the same time you need to make a very important call at work or just urgently call a friend or acquaintance?!
One option is to rent from an operator for a couple of days.
Or you can use the convenient “Help Out” service. The essence of this option is that it makes it possible to make calls and send SMS to MTS subscriber numbers at the expense of the interlocutor. If you have friends or acquaintances who are ready to help you in this way, then this option is for you!

Connecting and disconnecting the service

To use the service and call a friend or comrade at his expense in the MTS network in Russia, there are two ways

1. You must dial numbers before the number of the person you are calling 0880 . For example - 08809098880101, where 9098880101 is the number of a friend or acquaintance whom you want to call at his expense. Please note that the number is indicated in 10-digit format without “8” or “+7”.

2. Call the number 0880 . An answering machine will answer you, after which you will need to dial the number of the desired person in 10-digit format.

After this, the subscriber you want to call at his own expense will receive a notification about this and two options for action - accept the call or reject it. If at this moment his phone is turned off or inaccessible, then an SMS will be sent to him asking him to call back.

Note: You can also send an SMS message at the expense of the recipient. To do this, you need to add numbers at the beginning to the number you are sending the message to. 5880 . For example, 05809098880101.

To call an MTS subscriber at his expense while being in international roaming— you need to type the following USSD command:

*880*<номер абонента >#Call

After this, the recipient will receive an incoming call, upon answering which he will be asked to accept the call at his own expense.

Disabling the service is not required, since it is provided once.

Payment for the “Help Out” option

To date, there is no fee for connecting to the service. The caller also does not pay anything. For those who accept a call at their own expense, the cost of the “Help Out” service will be as follows:
3 rub./min. - in your region
5 rub./min. - when calling from another region
8.9 rub./min. — with intranet roaming
20 rub./min. — for international roaming

Sometimes you need to make an urgent call, but there is no money on your phone account. Then you need to know how to call at the expense of the MTS interlocutor. This can be done with the help of the “Help Out” option. Using it, you can make a call without having any money, at the expense of the called subscriber.

Make a call at the expense of the MTS interlocutor

The “Help out” option works even if the subscriber you need to reach has blocked a specific number of the interlocutor (entered it in “”).

There are two options to make a call using the interlocutor’s funds:

  • via USSD command;
  • through the number of the operational autoinformer.

An additional advantage of the “Vyruchai” service is that it is absolutely free: there is no charge for maintenance, connection, or use.

Call using subscriber's funds

Depending on the location of the subscriber, there are two ways to make a call:

  • by dialing the combination 0880 before the number of the called client;
  • if the called client is roaming, then dial *0880*, followed by the number of the called subscriber.

If it is not known whether the called subscriber is roaming or not, you can make a call through the autoinformer. To do this, you need to dial the combination 0880, wait for the answering machine to respond, and then follow the instructions.

After performing any of the above actions, the client at whose expense the call is to be made will receive a voice request asking him to pay for this call. If you agree, just dial “1”. If rejected – “0”, then the request will be rejected.

In turn, the person for whose money the call is made can receive information about the price of this call using the same autoinformer by dialing “2”.

It must be remembered that the cost of a roaming call is determined by the price of the subscriber’s country of residence. The exact amount can be found on the official website of the MTS company or in the help desk by dialing 0890 and waiting for a connection with the operator.

If the friend confirms their willingness to pay for this call, a conversation can be made. If the called subscriber is currently communicating, i.e. the number is in busy mode, he will receive an SMS notification asking him to call back. The limit on such SMS is 10 per day.

With a zero telephone balance, there is no need to even call. An alternative way is to send a message: dial the combination 5880, followed by the phone number of the person you want to contact without a space.

Disable the “Help out” service

The dialing service is activated automatically for all MTS users. There is no need to perform any actions to enable this option.

But in order to disable the “Help out” service, for everyone who does not want to pay for other people’s calls and does not want to make calls on their own at someone else’s expense, you need to send “30” via SMS to the number 8800. The service is deactivated.

Another way to disable it is through a USSD command. You need to dial *880# “call” button. Then in the menu that appears, type sequentially “3”, “1”.

You need to know that both the first and second methods of disabling the option work only in the Russian Federation.

For users roaming outside the Russian Federation, to disable the service you must:

  • via SMS send “32” to number 8800;
  • dial *880# “call” button, and then dial “3”, “2”.

The Help Out service is open to all MTS clients with any tariff plans. There is a limit on the number of requests:

  • SMS – 50 times/day;
  • requests – 10 times/day.

Additionally, you can create “black” and “white” lists.

Calls from subscribers on the white list will be accepted automatically without any confirmation. And calls from black numbers will be automatically rejected.
