In this case, a TN matrix is used, so viewing angles are very limited, the saturation and brightness of the image changes depending on the angle. The display surface is anti-glare, which is definitely a plus for working near a window or outdoors. True, in practice the situation is different: due to the small reserve of brightness, pictures or web pages are practically invisible, especially in sunny weather.
Acoustics did not rehabilitate the quality of the screen in our eyes - its capabilities are also far from ideal. Even at maximum, the sound is not very loud, the lack of bass is clearly felt, but what is good is the absence of wheezing and distortion. In general, if you want to isolate yourself from the world with the help of music, it is better to use headphones, they will partially correct the situation.
The webcam has a resolution of 1 megapixel. It is designed for video communication and copes well with this task.
Keyboard and touchpad
The full-size keyboard of the Dell Inspiron 7567 is made according to the island principle, so each key is separated by a small island of free space. The clickpad's touch surface is slightly rough and very comfortable to use. It is slightly recessed relative to the working surface. The clickpad is a little harsh. The pressing force is 160 g, and the return stroke occurs with a residual force of 80 g.
Note that this clickpad does not support the multi-touch function, but using function keys The clickpad cannot be disabled.
Sound path
As already noted, the audio subsystem of the Dell Inspiron 15 (7567) laptop is based on the Realtek ALC256 codec, and the laptop case has two speakers and a subwoofer.
According to subjective feelings, the sound quality of the music is very good. The sound is clear and rich, bass is well defined and high frequencies, no metallic tint or rattling at maximum volume. Of course, when talking about sound purity, we mean the average user, who, as usual, has been stepped on by a bear. If you have an ear for music (fortunately, we don’t), then, of course, you will not be satisfied with the sound quality of not only this, but any other laptop.
Screen
The Dell Inspiron 15 (7567) laptop uses a Chi Mei CMN15C4 TN matrix with LED backlighting based on white LEDs. She has a matte anti-reflective coating, and its diagonal size is 15.6 inches. Screen resolution: 1920×1080 pixels.
The maximum brightness level on a white background is 196 cd/m², and the minimum brightness level on a white background is 12 cd/m². At maximum screen brightness, the gamma value is 1.69.
The color gamut of the LCD screen in the laptop is very wide. It covers 57.1% of sRGB and 39.3% of Adobe RGB. The color gamut in this case is exactly the same, that is, 57.1% of the sRGB space and 39.3% of Adobe RGB.
The viewing angles in the laptop leave much to be desired, which is generally typical for TN matrices. Horizontal angles are even more or less acceptable, but vertical viewing angles are small. When looking at an image at a vertical angle, the color is greatly distorted.
Drive performance
As already noted, the storage subsystem of the Dell Inspiron 15 (7567) laptop is a combination of a 2.5-inch Toshiba MQ01ABD100 HDD with a capacity of 1 TB (5400 rpm, SATA-II) and a SanDisk X400 SSD drive with a capacity of 128 GB (M. 2, 2280, SATA-III).
Naturally, the SSD is used as a system drive. However, after installing the operating system, only 74 GB remains on the SSD drive free space. Of course, this is too little to install modern games.
Therefore, when using such a laptop as a gaming solution, it makes sense to install all games on the capacious Toshiba MQ01ABD100 drive, which is the D:\ drive. In other words, we install the Steam client (who uses Steam) on the D:\ drive and, accordingly, install all the games on the D:\ drive.
Actually, what we mean by this is that in this case we will be interested not only in the performance of the system drive (SSD), but also in the performance of the HDD.
For the SanDisk X400 drive, the ATTO Disk Benchmark utility determines the maximum sequential read speed at 550 MB/s, and the maximum sequential write speed at 320 MB/s. These are typical results for a SATA drive, but compared to modern NVMe drives (M.2 connector, PCIe 3.0 x4 interface) this is a rather modest result.
We also present the results of testing using the popular CrystalDiskMark utility.
Now let's look at the results of testing the Toshiba MQ01ABD100 HDD, on which it is advisable to install games.
The ATTO Disk Benchmark utility determines the maximum sequential read and write speed at 95 MB/s. Well, what else can you expect from this time-tested drive with a SATA-II interface? Slow, of course, but cheap.
The results of testing this drive using the CrystalDiskMark utility are absolutely the same.
Noise level
The cooling system in the Dell Inspiron 15 (7567) laptop consists of two thin coolers that are connected by heat pipes to the processor, chipset and graphics processor.
According to measurements, the noise level emitted by the laptop in idle mode is 21 dBA. This is a very low noise level, which actually merges with the level of the natural background, and it is almost impossible to “hear” the laptop in this mode. In the processor stress mode, the noise level increases to 39.5 dBA, and if both the processor and video card are loaded simultaneously, the noise level will be 40 dBA. This, of course, is not small, and in this mode the laptop will stand out noticeably from other devices even in a noisy room. In a word, the laptop is quite noisy and this is perhaps one of its main drawbacks.
Work offline
Let us remind you that the Dell Inspiron 15 (7567) laptop uses a 6-cell battery with a capacity of 74 Wh.
We measured the laptop's battery life at a screen brightness of 100 cd/m² in video viewing mode. In addition, when the laptop was running in standalone mode, the Intel HD Graphics 630 processor graphics core was used.
In video viewing mode, the laptop worked offline for an impressive 6 hours 56 minutes.
Computer performance in games
For gaming computer the most important indicator is gaming performance.
As we have already noted, the specificity of this laptop is that the system drive C:\ is very small by today's standards and the games that we use for testing simply do not fit on it. Therefore, we installed the Steam client and all games on the slow D:\ drive. This fact does not affect gaming performance in any way. The loading time of the games themselves simply increases, but the FPS does not change.
We tested in games at a resolution of 1920x1080 and in two game settings: maximum and minimum quality. When testing in games, we used an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti video card with ForceWare driver version 378.92.

As can be seen from the testing results, with settings for maximum quality at a resolution of 1920x1080, in most games the speed is below 40 FPS, that is, below the level that is commonly called comfortable. With game settings at minimum quality, all games reach speeds above 40 FPS. In other words, by lowering the quality settings, you can achieve an acceptable game speed.
Of course, this is not a top-end gaming solution (it would be strange to expect anything more from the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti video card), but with such results, the laptop can be classified as a mid-level gaming solution.
Diagnosis
The retail price of the Dell Inspiron 15 (7567-8852) laptop in the configuration we described was not completely clear at the time of writing the review. In the US, this model costs $1,100. It will probably be more expensive here, but hardly much. In other words, in the gaming laptop category, this is a truly inexpensive solution.
The advantages of a laptop include a powerful, productive processor, sufficient RAM and a good video card. The data storage subsystem cannot boast of its high performance, and system SSD drive has a small size.
Another disadvantage of this laptop is that it is quite noisy. Well, let us also remind you that the laptop uses a TN matrix with not very good viewing angles.
However, all these disadvantages are more than compensated for by the cost of the device. Still, for a 15-inch laptop with a screen resolution of 1920×1080, which comes with Intel processor Core i7-7700HQ, 16 GB DDR4 memory, discrete Nvidia video card GeForce GTX 1050 Ti and a storage system based on HDD and SSD, it's quite inexpensive.
Do you want a laptop with powerful NVIDIA graphics? Prepare at least 100-120 thousand rubles - this is how much the simplest configurations with a GeForce GTX 1070 on board currently cost. Options with GeForce GTX 1080 are even more expensive. This harsh reality, which is not going away anytime soon. For those who are not ready to part with such a sum and still want a gaming laptop, it makes sense to take a closer look at options based on mobile video cards GeForce GTX 1050 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti. The low-end GeForce 1000-series graphics will run any modern games in Full HD resolution - not always at maximum or high graphics quality settings, but still. Let this review serve as proof of my words, which examines the simplest modification of the 15.6-inch Dell Inspiron 7567 laptop, equipped central processor Core i5 generation Kaby Lake, 8 GB of DDR4 RAM and a 4 GB version of GeForce GTX 1050.

If NVIDIA has developed laptop versions of the GeForce GTX 1070 and GeForce GTX 1080, the graphics processors of which are not much inferior to the analogues used in video cards for desktop PCs, then making the mobile GeForce GTX 1050 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti no worse than the company’s desktop ones was not difficult. Among the entry-level Pascal video cards installed in desktop computers, there is a strict distinction: the GeForce GTX 1050 has 2 GB of video memory, the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti has 4 GB. In the case of laptop versions of the same graphics adapters, options are possible: on sale you can find both the GeForce GTX 1050 with 4 GB and the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 2 GB. And these are not all the differences between video cards for laptops and PCs.
Firstly, laptop accelerators have higher GPU frequencies, so in theory mobile version GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is more productive than the desktop version. In theory, because in the case of laptops, a lot is decided by the efficiency of the cooling system.
Secondly, NVIDIA has noticeably downsized the chip in the mobile GeForce GTX 1050. For example, there is minimal performance difference between the desktop versions of the GeForce GTX 1050 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti GPUs. In games in Full HD resolution, if the GPU performance is not limited due to a lack of video memory, the younger version of the GP107 lags behind the older one by only 5-8 frames per second. That's why NVIDIA strictly ranks these discrete cards based on GDDR5 capacity. But between the mobile GeForce GTX 1050 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti the difference in performance will be more noticeable, because the younger version of the GP107 has twice the smaller number blocks of raster operations (16 versus 32). In addition, the older version has noticeably higher clock frequency: 1493 MHz vs. 1345 MHz. Since the laptop GeForce GTX 1050 has no limitation on video memory, there is a risk that users simply would not buy the more expensive GeForce GTX 1050 Ti if the difference in performance was minimal.
⇡ Technical characteristics and equipment
At the time of preparing this material, there were five modifications of the Inspiron 7567 on the official Dell website. However, I did not find all the models for sale locally. Four of the five configurations are available in two colors: red and black. The most productive modification also received a 4K display. In Russian retail, if we ignore the color and pre-installed software, there were four laptop options, all with Full HD screens. Main modifications of the Inspiron 15,000 Gaming (7567), as well as other 15.6-inch laptops of this class (Lenovo has the Legion Y520 series, ASUS has the ROG STRIX GL553, HP has the OMEN 15, Acer has the Aspire VX 15) are formed around four components: quad-core Core i5-7300HQ and Core i7-7700HQ processors, as well as GeForce GTX 1050 and GeForce GTX 1050 Ti video cards. The Inspiron 7567 uses only 4 GB versions of graphics accelerators. The laptop considered in this review, number 7567-9309, in addition to the simplest processor and adapter, received hybrid rigid Toshiba MQ02ABD100H disk with a capacity of 1000 GB and 8 GB of DDR4-2400 RAM. Other options for the Dell Inspiron 7567 include models with SSD capacities of 128, 256 and 512 GB and laptops with 16 GB of RAM.
Additionally, I note that versions numbered 7567-8814 (black) and 7567-8920 (red) are available for sale. These are the simplest configurations, similar to the one discussed in the review. The difference is that instead of Windows 10, they have an operating system preinstalled Linux system, so versions 7567-8814 and 7567-8920 cost less - 50,000 rubles on average.
The laptop comes with only a 130-watt external power supply weighing about 500 g.
⇡ Appearance
The Inspiron 7567 is a strict and at the same time quite memorable laptop. I believe that this is how a device with an emphasis on games should be. Dell designers managed to combine smooth, streamlined shapes and sharp corners. The more important point is the overall high build quality of the device.

In the closed position, the thickness of the Inspiron 7567 is decent - compared, for example, with the same indicator for ultrabooks - 25.4 mm. However, similar 15.6-inch models with a similar set of hardware are almost as “complete”: Lenovo Legion Y520 - 25.8 mm, HP OMEN 15 - 25 mm, Acer Aspire VX 15 - 28.9 mm. It turns out that the Inspiron 7567 is actually one of the most slender laptops in its class. The weight of such models is around 2.5 kg, but specifically the Dell Inspiron 7567 will weigh the backpack by 2.6 kg without taking into account the external power supply.
The laptop lid does not open completely - approximately 160 degrees. The design of the rotating mechanism uses rigid hinges that securely fix user installed screen position.

The lid, side edges, as well as the area with the keyboard and touchpad are covered with soft-touch plastic - pleasant to the touch, but relatively easily soiled. It shows dust, fingerprints and stains from cleaning products.
The bottom of the Dell Inspiron 7567 is made of ordinary matte plastic. Most of it is a detachable cover with perforations for the operation of cooling system fans and a grille for outputting sound from the subwoofer. Two long rubber feet prevent the laptop from sliding on a flat surface - tested on wood, glass and plastic surfaces.
All main interfaces are located on the side edges of the laptop. On the left there is a hole for installing a Noble Lock, a connector for connecting an external power adapter, one USB 3.0 Type-A and a card reader familiar with SD/SDHC/SDXC formats. On the right side, Dell engineers placed two more USB 3.0 A-type, an HDMI output, an Ethernet port and a combined 3.5 mm mini-jack to which the gaming headset is connected. One of the USB ports supports USB function PowerShare, which allows you to charge devices connected to this connector. external devices, even when the laptop is in sleep mode, until the battery is discharged to a certain percentage of its full capacity. The user can independently set in the settings BIOS value for USB PowerShare: 0, 3, 10, 25, 50 or 75%.
Even models with 15.6-inch screens stopped using frankly outdated optical drives- there is no DVD or anything like that in the Dell Inspiron 7567.
The keyboard of black models is equipped with a white backlight, while the red models have a red backlight. You can’t choose a different shade, but there are two brightness modes. If the laptop is not running from the mains and the user does not use the keyboard for two minutes, the backlight automatically turns off so as not to waste battery power.
The dimensions of the Dell Inspiron 7567 made it possible to fit a full-size keyboard with a numeric keypad. The button travel is small but distinct. Pressing is accompanied by a low and dull sound. At the same time, the presence of a slight backlash is tactilely felt, which does not interfere at all when typing or while playing.
I didn't like the tiny Enter and small arrow keys - they took the longest to get used to. And here Caps Lock, Tab, Backspace and Shift keys are of a very convenient size. All laptop control keys, activated in combination with the Fn modifier, are located in the top row, on the Esc, F1-F12 and PrtScr buttons.
The touchpad allows you to control the operating system using gestures. The touchpad itself is small (10.6 × 8 cm) and, traditionally for gaming solutions, is placed closer to the left side. Pressing is distinct, with a pronounced and audible click. I didn’t notice any shortcomings when working with the touchpad, but in games it’s definitely more convenient to use a mouse.
The webcam allows you to shoot in 720p resolution at 30 Hz. Video quality is poor, indoors if available artificial lighting The picture turns out dark and very noisy. For example, such an image is definitely not suitable for streaming. Satisfactory quality can only be achieved in bright natural light. For example, outside on a sunny day.
A very good choice for the stated price - that's in a nutshell DELL Inspiron 7567. In more detail, the laptop has very good hardware with a good matrix and a comfortable keyboard. DELL engineers did not forget about high-quality assembly and pleasant appearance. So, the device is equipped with a 4-core processor (choice of Core i5 / Core i7) and 16 GB of RAM max. configuration, and, in combination with a modern video card, this configuration allows you to use the laptop in various directions and for a wide range of purposes. Overall, we can recommend the DELL Inspiron 7567 for a closer look due to its good performance characteristics, as well as an attractive price-quality ratio.
