Back in version 8 or 9, this function was introduced, specifically to make it possible to remove advertising. Everything will work correctly only if you configure tracking lists Tracking Protection List(TPL). But first we need to set up protection.

To do this, go to the browser, find the “Service” icon at the top right and click on it (you can also use hot keys Alt keys+ X). In the list, select “Security” and then “Enable tracking protection”. Great, the protection is turned on, now you need to download lists from the site.

How well does Adblock Plus work in Internet Explorer?

The extension works very well, but it has a few drawbacks. First of all, Adblock Plus does not work on the touch version of Internet Explorer. It only works on the desktop version of the browser. The extension does an excellent job of cutting out all ads, but does not provide enough settings when compared to versions for Chrome, Firefox and Opera. Only one of them can be used available lists filters, and it is not possible to manually add your own lists. In addition, you cannot block only certain ads on the site, as versions for other browsers allow. There is not even an option to report unwanted advertising.
