The Cleverens company sells a budget TSD from the ATOL company's assets, which has become one of the best-selling terminals on the market of mobile data collection terminals.

Design
SMART-DROID has a typical design - a screen at the top of the device and numeric keypad. The body tapers below the screen for easier one-handed grip. The plastic case, although clearly of a “Chinese” origin, is made to last - it does not creak, there are no cracks anywhere, and it absorbs impact upon impact and does not crack. On the other side, in exactly the same place there is a 3.5 mm audio jack. I don’t know why it is needed here, but maybe it will be useful to someone... listen to music. The main thing is that these rubber plugs do not come off.
Screen
The device's display is 3.5 inches in size - relatively large among data collection terminals and has a resolution of 320 x 480. The first series of the model had a resistive display and were equipped with a stylus. But, well done producers, they have corrected themselves! Now the terminal is equipped with the usual capacitive display. The stylus, accordingly, was removed from the kit. The screen is prudently surrounded by thick frames of the case, so it will obviously not be easy to break it by dropping it.
Software component
Works this device under slightly modified operating system Android 4.2.2. Same as for Android devices The home, back, and menu buttons don't look so ordinary. For example, “back” is the “esc” button. The scanner quickly “grabs” linear barcodes without requiring you to take a long time to aim. To eliminate errors when reading, the Mobile SMARTS software from Cleverence intelligently controls the scanner.
The user will not be able to read barcodes more often than the terminal searches for items in the directory using them. Also, if scanning is not provided in some menu, smart software from Cleverence will not allow you to turn on the scanner, even if you press the corresponding button.
