Gerashchenko on the podium of the Verkhovna Rada, 2015
In December 2014, he announced the presentation of the “Peacemaker” website with a “base of separatists”, where “information from the Center for Research on Crimes against Fundamentals is slowly but surely accumulated.” national security Ukraine, peace, security of citizens”, founded by a group of volunteers under the leadership of Georgiy Tuku”; as of January 7, according to Gerashchenko, the site collected data on more than “9 thousand terrorists and their accomplices”

On January 29, 2015, together with non-factional people's deputy Boris Filatov, he registered a draft law introducing criminal liability for public calls to evade mobilization. According to Gerashchenko, both Ukrainian and foreign citizens may be subject to punishment. As an example of such behavior, he cited the initiative of the Russian authorities to extend the period of legal stay on its territory for Ukrainian citizens of military age.

On March 13, he introduced a bill that would impose criminal penalties for organizing “paid rallies.”

On January 21, 2017, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasily Gritsak said that SBU officers prevented an attempt on the life of Anton Gerashchenko. A number of Ukrainian media put forward the version that this attempt could have been staged. Gerashchenko called these versions “rumours”, since two suspects in organizing the assassination attempt were detained. According to the SBU, the mastermind of the assassination attempt was a Russian citizen who was in Belgorod and hired two previously convicted citizens to commit the crime.

He was the author of the law banning the “production and propaganda” of the St. George ribbon, which provided for violation of the law with an administrative fine in the amount of 850 to 2,550 hryvnia and confiscation of prohibited items (if a repeated violation is possible, a fine of 2,550 to 5,100 hryvnia or administrative arrest for up to 15 days). The law was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on May 16, 2017 and was signed on June 12, 2017 by President Petro Poroshenko.

Criminal prosecution
On October 7, 2015, he called on users of the “Peacemaker” website to post “all known data” about the Russian military participating in the operation in Syria, so that “ISIS and their brothers in Russia, of whom there are many in the Caucasus, could then find them and take revenge according to the canons.” Sharia." The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation opened a criminal case against Gerashchenko under Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public calls for terrorist activities or public justification of terrorism). Gerashchenko, in response, accused the Russian Investigative Committee of lying and stated that he “called and urges to record the crimes” of the Russian leadership “both against the Ukrainian, Syrian and other peoples,” because Russia “in Syria is not actually fighting the terrorist organization ISIS.” , but destroys the forces of the moderate Syrian opposition fighting the “regime” of Bashar al-Assad and supported by the US and the EU. According to the deputy, the Russian Federation “began to investigate more than a year ago into the fact of my participation in the formation of volunteer police battalions and the National Guard, largely thanks to which we managed to defend Ukraine from complete collapse and chaos.”

On April 24, 2017, a criminal case was opened against Anton Gerashchenko by the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (located in Kyiv) for high treason. About this in Facebook networks reported journalist Vladimir Boyko, who addressed the department with a request in which he asked to evaluate Gerashchenko’s post on the same social network dated January 12, 2015. The people's deputy outlined his “peace plan” for the settlement of relations with Russia, which included the return of the Crimean peninsula to Ukraine, and “in return, if this plan is supported by the sensible part of the citizens of Ukraine, Putin, to “save face,” after appropriate changes in the legislation, may be given paid rent in Sevastopol for 30-40 years.” As a result of the request, “criminal proceedings No. 42017010000000056, registered in the ERDR on April 24, 2017, on the grounds of Part 1 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, were opened on the fact that People’s Deputy of Ukraine Anton Gerashchenko committed high treason.”

Scandals
On December 12, 2016, TV journalist Konstantin Stogniy filed a lawsuit against Anton Gerashchenko in the case of protection of honor and dignity. Stogny stated that Gerashchenko provided the media with deliberately false information about the past of the journalist, who resigned from the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the end of 2010 and could not have been the press secretary of Minister Vitaly Zakharchenko, who took office in November 2011:

Gerashchenko went on TV channels and spread deliberate lies that “Stogny was the press secretary of Minister Alexander Zakharchenko.” Firstly, I don’t understand who “Alexander Zakharchenko” is. Apparently, Gerashchenko had in mind the Minister of Internal Affairs in 2014, Vitaly Zakharchenko. The fact is that I resigned from the internal affairs bodies long before the Maidan and was not familiar with Minister Zakharchenko. And these things are obvious and easy to check.
Views
In May 2017, Anton Gerashchenko compared Russian social media with Adolf Hitler’s book “My Struggle” (German: Mein Kampf), calling them a “propaganda tool.” In his opinion, “Everyone who declares that the closure of the social networks Odnoklassniki and VKontakte is censorship and infringement of the right to freedom of speech is either a fool, or works for Russia, or does not understand what he is talking about.”

Income
According to the declaration data for 2013, Anton Gerashchenko earned 10,331 hryvnia in 12 months, of which he spent 3.8 thousand hryvnia on living in a 3-room apartment in Kyiv.

In 2016, Gerashchenko earned 143,217 hryvnia, and in 2015 he managed to buy a Colt carbine with a silencer and a collimator sight for 87 thousand hryvnia, which he indicated in his new declaration. He declared 440 thousand hryvnia in cash, as well as 40 thousand US dollars. From real estate, he indicated half an apartment in Kharkov with an area of 77.2 m², he also uses his wife’s apartment in Kyiv (42.3 m²) and another apartment (189 m²) together with his father-in-law. Anton's wife Olesya declared 73 thousand hryvnia in alimony, 368 thousand hryvnia in business income, as well as half of an apartment in Kyiv with an area of 56 m².

In November 2016, Anton and Olesya had a child. After the birth, the family moved to an apartment in an elite new building in the Pechersky district of Kyiv. Price square meter in this house is 3.2 thousand US dollars.

On December 5, 2014, Gerashchenko jokingly congratulated Arsen Avakov on his election to the Verkhovna Rada, publishing in Facebook photo former subordinate and calling him a “babe”:

Photo “Well, baby, gotcha?” Here is the cover of the New Year's calendar for 2015. The calendar is being prepared for release by Anton Gerashchenko. The photo is charged with a double charge of reproach and conscience. The charge was organized by the minister.

The declaration for 2015 states that he received 549 thousand UAH, of which the salary was 73.4 thousand UAH (6.1 thousand/month), and his wife Olesya received 324.6 thousand for the year. The document states, that she is engaged in business activities. As in the declarations of previous years, Gerashchenko has two apartments of modest size and a 2013 Honda Crosstour appeared.

Litigation:

December 12, 2016 TV journalist, author of the program “Nadzvichyny Novyny”. The reason for the lawsuit is that a politician disseminated false information discrediting the journalist’s business reputation. On the air of the program “Shuster. Live" Avakov’s adviser called Stogniy the former press secretary of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Zakharchenko, which is not reality.

Compromising evidence and rumors:

On May 14, 2016, TV presenter Savik Shuster criticized MP from the Popular Front faction Anton Gerashchenko in connection with the publication of the journalists’ data by the Myrotvorets website. "This site accused journalists of collaborating with militants," Shuster said. He also noted that Gerashchenko is directly related to “Peacemaker”. “It’s a crime to publish a list of 4 thousand journalists, give their phone numbers, addresses,” Shuster said. The journalist said that he worked in hot spots for 7 years and covered about 15 military conflicts. “If you had ever had anything to do with me, I would have been dead a long time ago, because you would have given my information,” Shuster said.

On April 25, 2016, it became known that the most odious people's deputy of the Ukrainian parliament, Anton Gerashchenko, is quite rich. If you believe the investigation of some media, then the ex-adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov receives an annual income of 12 million hryvnia. However, Gerashchenko’s declaration appeared on the website of the Verkhovna Rada, according to which in 2015 he received 549 thousand UAH, of which the salary was 73.4 thousand UAH (6.1 thousand/month), and his wife Olesya received 324.6 for the year thousand. The document indicates that she is engaged in entrepreneurial activities. As in the declarations of previous years, Gerashchenko has two apartments of modest size and a Honda Crosstour of 2013 appeared. The publication “Strana” published incriminating evidence on the so-called fighter against corruption, separatism and everything Russian. Thus, referring to Gerashchenko’s ex-business partner, who wished to remain anonymous, details of the people’s deputy’s shadow schemes were announced. As it turned out, the politician began making money in the early 2000s, working in the Kharkov city council. “Then he met Alexander Sergeevich Bondar. Together they began to help interested people in allocating land plots. Then they “knocked out” the land for their enterprises. One plot was exchanged for an apartment in Kharkov, where an office was set up. It was registered to Alina Didenko, Bondar’s wife, although there was a sign on the door that this was the office of lawyer Marina Matsegora (a close friend, attorney for personal affairs, and official assistant to parliamentarian Gerashchenko, which is listed on the Verkhovna Rada website). These people form the main core of Anton Yuryevich’s business schemes,” the source said.

On April 16, 2015, it became known that the shot ex-deputy from the Party of Regions Oleg Kalashnikov, on the eve of the murder, sent letters to his friends, where he reported that he was receiving threats after personal data, including his home address, were published on the website “Peacemaker” - this is a “database on separatists”, initiated by Verkhovna Rada deputy Anton Gerashchenko. The resource “Peacemaker”, without a court decision, puts on public display the personal data of Ukrainian citizens whom the resource’s authors consider “separatists” or “agents of the Kremlin.”

In April 2015, it became known that Gerashchenko had significantly improved his financial situation by becoming an adviser to Avakov. In 2014, Verkhovna Rada deputy ("People's Front"), adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs Anton Gerashchenko received 120.6 thousand hryvnia in income, which is 12 times more than in 2013. This is stated in the deputy’s income statement published on the parliament website. In 2014, the deputy got a wife, who received 15 thousand hryvnia in financial assistance and 78.7 thousand hryvnia in alimony in a year. At the same time, any children, including those living together with Anton Gerashchenko and his wife, are not included in the declaration.

On March 23, 2015, the Ministry of Internal Affairs admitted to the murder of the coordinator of the Right Sector in western Ukraine, Alexander Muzychko, better known as Sashka Bely. After the death of Muzychko in Rivne on the night of March 25, 2014, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the prosecutor’s office reported that the Right Sector activist shot himself, accidentally. However, the adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Anton Gerashchenko, said the day before that Sashko Bely was killed by one of the police officers, Vesti writes. “According to the conclusions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs commission, it was legal action police officer in the current situation,” Gerashchenko said, commenting on the situation with the ensuing fight between Muzychko and the law enforcement officer. This information Right Sector has not yet commented and is still waiting for results from the temporary investigative commission of the Verkhovna Rada on the death of Muzychko, which was supposed to conduct 37 examinations to draw up a final conclusion on the case of the murdered man.

Another partner of Gerashchenko is Vladimir Grechukha, who worked as a development manager for the ATB company. It is noted that he is a non-public person, but he is a wealthy character. “Gerashchenko and Bondar traveled around Ukraine and, following a tip from Grechukha, found the land plots and real estate needed for ATB, and then it was a matter of technology and experience. They bought it for their relatives and resold it or rented it out to the ATB office. They started in Krasnograd, where Gerashchenko was working in the district administration. For example, their last property in the city of Kanev was purchased for $110 thousand and sold for $1.1 million at the end of 2013. If my memory serves me right, they capitalized 25 real estate properties,” says Gerashchenko’s ex-partner. As the informant emphasized, Bondar and Gerashchenko are still working in the Kiev and Odessa regions.

As a result of journalistic investigations, it became known that at one time Gennady Kernes actively financed the youth association “New Kharkov - New Opportunities”. Many analysts believed that in this way Gennady Adolfovich prepared for himself loyal officials and politicians, so that he could later place them in important positions not only in the city of Kharkov, but also in Kyiv. It should be noted that at a certain period of time Gerashchenko was one of the key leaders of the Kharkov youth association. So in 2002, it was he who organized and held a rally on Freedom Square, in which about 3,000 people took part; the main demand of those gathered was to impose a ban on the construction of a McDonald's restaurant near the University metro station.

Anton Yurievich Gerashchenko was born on February 10, 1979 in Kharkov. He grew up without a father and was raised by his mother and grandparents.

An excerpt characterizing Gerashchenko, Anton Yurievich

In the booth into which Pierre entered and in which he stayed for four weeks, there were twenty-three captured soldiers, three officers and two officials.
All of them then appeared to Pierre as if in a fog, but Platon Karataev remained forever in Pierre’s soul as the strongest and dearest memory and personification of everything Russian, kind and round. When the next day, at dawn, Pierre saw his neighbor, the first impression of something round was completely confirmed: the whole figure of Plato in his French overcoat belted with a rope, in a cap and bast shoes, was round, his head was completely round, his back, chest, shoulders, even the hands that he carried, as if always about to hug something, were round; a pleasant smile and large brown gentle eyes were round.
Platon Karataev must have been over fifty years old, judging by his stories about the campaigns in which he participated as a long-time soldier. He himself did not know and could not determine in any way how old he was; but his teeth, bright white and strong, which kept rolling out in their two semicircles when he laughed (which he often did), were all good and intact; There was not a single gray hair in his beard or hair, and his whole body had the appearance of flexibility and, especially, hardness and endurance.
His face, despite the small round wrinkles, had an expression of innocence and youth; his voice was pleasant and melodious. But main feature his speech consisted of spontaneity and argument. He apparently never thought about what he said and what he would say; and because of this, the speed and fidelity of his intonations had a special irresistible persuasiveness.
His physical strength and agility were such during the first time of captivity that it seemed that he did not understand what fatigue and illness were. Every day, in the morning and in the evening, when he lay down, he said: “Lord, lay it down like a pebble, lift it up into a ball”; in the morning, getting up, always shrugging his shoulders in the same way, he said: “I lay down and curled up, got up and shook myself.” And indeed, as soon as he lay down, he immediately fell asleep like a stone, and as soon as he shook himself, he immediately, without a second of delay, took up some task, like children, getting up, taking up their toys. He knew how to do everything, not very well, but not badly either. He baked, steamed, sewed, planed, and made boots. He was always busy and only at night allowed himself conversations, which he loved, and songs. He sang songs, not as songwriters sing, who know that they are being listened to, but he sang like birds sing, obviously because he needed to make these sounds just as it is necessary to stretch or disperse; and these sounds were always subtle, gentle, almost feminine, mournful, and at the same time his face was very serious.
Having been captured and grown a beard, he apparently threw away everything alien and soldierly that had been imposed on him and involuntarily returned to his former, peasant, folk mindset.
“A soldier on leave is a shirt made from trousers,” he used to say. He was reluctant to talk about his time as a soldier, although he did not complain, and often repeated that throughout his service he was never beaten. When he spoke, he mainly spoke from his old and, apparently, dear memories of “Christian”, as he pronounced it, peasant life. The sayings that filled his speech were not those, mostly indecent and glib sayings that soldiers say, but they were those folk sayings that seem so insignificant, taken in isolation, and which suddenly take on the meaning of deep wisdom when they are spoken opportunely.
Often he said the exact opposite of what he had said before, but both were true. He loved to talk and spoke well, decorating his speech with endearments and proverbs, which, it seemed to Pierre, he was inventing himself; but the main charm of his stories was that in his speech the simplest events, sometimes the very ones that Pierre saw without noticing them, took on the character of solemn beauty. He loved to listen to fairy tales that one soldier told in the evenings (all the same ones), but most of all he loved to listen to stories about real life. He smiled joyfully as he listened to such stories, inserting words and making questions that tended to clarify for himself the beauty of what was being told to him. Karataev had no attachments, friendship, love, as Pierre understood them; but he loved and lived lovingly with everything that life brought him to, and especially with a person - not with some famous person, but with those people who were before his eyes. He loved his mongrel, he loved his comrades, the French, he loved Pierre, who was his neighbor; but Pierre felt that Karataev, despite all his affectionate tenderness towards him (with which he involuntarily paid tribute to Pierre’s spiritual life), would not for a minute be upset by separation from him. And Pierre began to feel the same feeling towards Karataev.
Platon Karataev was for all the other prisoners the most ordinary soldier; his name was Falcon or Platosha, they mocked him good-naturedly and sent him for parcels. But for Pierre, as he presented himself on the first night, an incomprehensible, round and eternal personification of the spirit of simplicity and truth, that is how he remained forever.
Platon Karataev knew nothing by heart except his prayer. When he gave his speeches, he, starting them, seemed not to know how he would end them.
When Pierre, sometimes amazed at the meaning of his speech, asked him to repeat what he had said, Plato could not remember what he had said a minute ago - just as he could not tell Pierre his favorite song in words. It said: “darling, little birch and I feel sick,” but the words didn’t make any sense. He did not understand and could not understand the meaning of words taken separately from speech. His every word and every action was a manifestation of an activity unknown to him, which was his life. But his life, as he himself looked at it, had no meaning as a separate life. She made sense only as a part of the whole, which he constantly felt. His words and actions poured out of him as uniformly, necessarily, and directly as a scent is released from a flower. He could not understand either the price or the meaning of a single action or word.

Having received news from Nicholas that her brother was with the Rostovs in Yaroslavl, Princess Marya, despite her aunt’s dissuasions, immediately got ready to go, and not only alone, but with her nephew. Whether it was difficult, not difficult, possible or impossible, she did not ask and did not want to know: her duty was not only to be near her perhaps dying brother, but also to do everything possible to bring him her son, and she stood up drive. If Prince Andrei himself did not notify her, then Princess Marya explained it either by the fact that he was too weak to write, or by the fact that he considered this long journey too difficult and dangerous for her and for his son.
Within a few days, Princess Marya got ready to travel. Her crews consisted of a huge princely carriage, in which she arrived in Voronezh, a britzka and a cart. Traveling with her were M lle Bourienne, Nikolushka and her tutor, an old nanny, three girls, Tikhon, a young footman and a haiduk, whom her aunt had sent with her.
It was impossible to even think about going the usual route to Moscow, and therefore the roundabout route that Princess Marya had to take: to Lipetsk, Ryazan, Vladimir, Shuya, was very long, due to the lack of post horses everywhere, very difficult and near Ryazan, where, as they said the French were showing up, even dangerous.

On November 15, 2017, at a meeting of the anti-corruption committee of the Verkhovna Rada, Gerashchenko announced his resignation as adviser to the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov due to a conflict of interest. At that time, an investigation was underway into the fraud of Alexander Avakov, the son of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the purchase of backpacks for the National Guard.

On April 24, 2017, the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, located in Kyiv, suspected the politician of treason and opened a criminal case against him. Gerashchenko back in 2015 proposed resolving the conflict with Russia peacefully. The plan envisaged the return of Crimea to Ukraine, and in return, lease Sevastopol to Russia for 30-40 years.

Family status

Scandalous statements

Gerashchenko is also known for his scandalous statements in the press and social networks. For example, in 2017, he compared Russian social networks to Adolf Hitler's book My Struggle (banned in Russia) and called them a "propaganda tool." “Everyone who claims that the closure of the social networks Odnoklassniki and VKontakte is censorship and infringement of the right to freedom of speech is either a fool, or works for Russia, or does not understand what he is talking about,” Gerashchenko said.

After the US elections, which he won Donald Trump, Gerashchenko began to make threats against the head of the White House.

“A candidate who supports or justifies the policies of the Russian Federation cannot be a candidate for any position in a normal country, but must go to prison,” Gerashchenko wrote on social networks.

In 2015, the politician said about the events in Donbass and the death of civilians: “People in Donbass are dying because the artillery is not accurate, and therefore there can be different kinds of moments.”

Gerashchenko calls the defenders of Donbass “scum, drug addicts, criminals,” as well as “terrorists.”

“The offensive of terrorist groups has not stopped since the beginning of September, and it will continue, since the hellish cauldron of scoundrels that Putin created and armed in Donbass requires the release of further emotions. Until they all take a break, this will continue. They do not know how to live a normal peaceful life. What is there? The scum of society, drug addicts, criminals. That's why they are thrown to death, so as not to worry about the cost of the issue. And this will last exactly as long as until most of them die in battles with our army...”, he said.

At a forum in Lodz, Gerashchenko spoke about the Russian president: “Putin, as far as I know, is threatening Western states that if they start supplying weapons to Ukraine, he will start a large-scale war.”
