Refilling hp deskjet 3050 cartridges. HP inkjet cartridge is dry: restoring operation and refilling the cartridge

Instructions for refilling the cartridge yourself, how to refill HP 122 black, No. 122 color for HP Deskjet 1000/1050/2000/2050/3000/3050/3070

It is advisable to refill the cartridge as soon as it runs out .
Cartridge refilling,
that has been stored empty for some time is more difficult (and the longer it has been stored empty, the more difficult it is) and does not always end successfully.
The longer the cartridge is stored, the more difficult it is to wash the print head; it may dry out so that the cartridge can be safely thrown away and bought a new one.
Also, you should not print until the ink in the cartridge is completely used up (the cartridge begins to streak heavily, print faintly, or stops printing altogether).
The principle of thermal inkjet printing is such that the ink is released due to the heating of the nozzles... and they are cooled accordingly by the ink itself.
That is, the ink runs out - the nozzles heat up - there is nothing to cool them with and they burn out, partially or completely. Then the cartridge just goes to waste.
Started to print faintly, streak slightly - refill immediately.

Instructions on how to refill an HP 122 cartridge

Note: Before you start refilling the cartridge, use a damp cloth to
soaked in cleaning liquid or gently clean the outside
print head, i.e. nozzle plate.
1. Install cartridge hp 122 onto a napkin (for example, a regular paper towel folded in half) with the print head facing down.
2. Carefully remove the sticker from the cartridge cover, preferably not all the way, just enough to expose the filling holes.
3. Place the refill needle on the syringe and draw the required amount of ink.
4. Carefully push the needle deeper into the filling hole of the color that will be refilled. The cartridge contains filler, so there may be some resistance when pushing the needle.

5. Slowly add ink into the cartridge until excess ink appears in the fill hole. Rinse the refill needle with distilled water and dry it before refilling with a different color.

The arrangement of colors, as well as the cartridges themselves, in principle, are identical to HP 121. Perhaps the only difference is that HP took a step “to meet” the consumer and significantly reduced the resource of cartridges No. 122; they contain less ink.

Note! The arrangement of colors in a color cartridge was as it was at the time of publication of the article!

In 2011, cartridges with a different color scheme went on sale! If your cartridge has not been lying around for a long time in the store or at your home, then the color scheme is as in the figure below:

The arrangement of colors even for cartridges of the same brand can be different. Therefore, in order not to confuse the ink colors, before how to refill an HP 122 cartridge, you should definitely do a test first: insert the needle of an empty syringe into the hole and determine what color ink it was stained with.

Note! HP No. 122 black cartridges are distinguished by a larger pre-chamber (indicated by a red rectangle in the photo). The new pre-filter, which separates this chamber and the reservoir with filler, easily becomes airy in an empty cartridge and does not allow refilled ink to pass to the print head. Tests have shown that the standard method of refilling black pigment or water-soluble ink (regardless of the manufacturer) often leads to malfunctions of the refilled cartridge.

As a solution for successfully using compatible ink in HP No. 122 black cartridges, we recommend that immediately after refilling, pierce the pre-filter with a thin syringe needle (see photo) and “fill” the camera with ink. To avoid damaging the nozzle plate, do not lower the needle deeper than shown in the photo.
Once the pre-filter is punctured, ink can flow freely to the print head.

6. Blot any remaining ink around the refill hole (with a clean part of a paper napkin) to prevent different inks from mixing.
7. Stick on the top of the cartridgeput the sticker back exactly as it was, so that the filling holes are evenly closed and air flows through the grooves.
8. Clean the print head and cartridge contact plate with a dry cloth.
9. Install the cartridge into the printer and carry out the initial test cycle according to the printer maintenance instructions.

HP Cartridge Error 122

Often, after several refills, the printer displays a cartridge error and refuses to print. And not always because the cartridge is no longer suitable for further use.
More precisely, from the manufacturer’s point of view, it is no longer suitable as soon as the ink runs out for the first time. We need to buy a new one. But not with ours, we want to save money and not think about the manufacturer’s earnings.
You can disable two-way communication between the printer and the computer in advance in order to refill the np 122 cartridge and print on it longer.
Don't wait until this error appears. The ink level and so on, of course, will not be displayed; in fact, we prohibit the printer from monitoring the HP 122 cartridge.
Print at least 1 page per week to avoid drying out and everything will be fine.

How to refill an HP 122, HP 121 cartridge video

Hi all!)

Today I spent the whole day trying to revive my printer, so an angry review came naturally in the evening))

I bought this miracle of technology at the same time as a laptop, about 3 years ago, but if the laptop serves me faithfully and always makes me happy, then this useless coffin has already frayed all my nerves.

The salesman in the store, by the way, did not advise us to take this model, and tried to sell some unattractive Canon. But like a real blonde, I fell for the color - the laptop is brown, and this crap is also brown, they will look so cute together ^_^

Of course, I need to make allowance for the fact that I had never bought such things before and had no idea what I needed to pay attention to. Well, in general, we took it after all. In addition to the color, I was also captivated by the design, a well-known company and the inexpensive price (I don’t remember exactly, but something around 2000 - 2400 rubles).

The kit included one color and one black and white cartridge, an installation disk, and a cord for a PC, although work via Wi-Fi is also supported. The printer was packed in a standard cardboard box, plus a branded black textile bag over the shoulder (I just don’t know who will carry an MFP with them, but it’s nice for free))

At first, of course, I was delighted with it, the photos were printed - the quality was excellent, the texts were also perfect. But... the cartridges quickly ran out and the fun ended. One black and white cartridge costs 400-500 rubles, a color one costs 200 rubles more. In my opinion, the prices are simply extortionate for consumables; a couple of cartridges will cost almost as much as a new printer(((

What to do, we bought a brand new black cartridge in the store for 500 rubles. The cartridge resource is stated as 100 pages, but in reality it is enough for about 60 - 70. If you consider that I am a student, and I have one term paper for 40 pages, and an abstract for 15 - 20, then you can understand that it turned out to be very expensive. There was no question of buying a color cartridge ((

When it also ran out, I went to a cartridge refilling company, where enterprising young people quickly refilled a black and white cartridge for me for 150 rubles. I was glad, but again I was not happy for long, since a cartridge of pages was enough for 20... In this situation, one page cost me almost 8 rubles, despite the fact that in our stores they photocopy a page for 5 rubles.

Then I got into traditional medicine and started surfing the Internet. It was then that the harsh truth was revealed to me that I was not alone in my grief. Forum members cried out loud that the crappy HP is deliberately giving away its MFPs for pennies, so that they can then profit from people who buy cartridges for crazy money!!!

The whole cunning thing is that their cartridges cannot be refilled, like many others - there is some kind of protection there, or something. But I decided to try anyway, since I had no choice ((I bought ink for about 100 rubles for 100 ml (!) there is a noticeable difference with the cost of the cartridge, don’t you think? I followed the instructions from the Internet, there is nothing complicated there - there is a sticker on top of the cartridge , it closes the holes that lead inside the cartridge, inside of which is... ordinary foam rubber! You need to draw about 3 ml of ink into the syringe and slowly release it into the sponge until it begins to ooze from the bottom nozzle. Everything seems simple, but at the bottom of the cartridge , I don’t know, on purpose or by accident, there is an air chamber that does not allow the cartridge to work even if it is filled to capacity. To revive the cartridge, I didn’t just jump around with a tambourine - I pierced this unfortunate chamber with a nail, pumped the air out of it with a syringe and sealed it with chewing gum and tape. The cartridge started working!!! But after 20 pages it died again. I have neither the time nor the desire to do shamanism all the time, especially since today, after a long break, I tried to revive it again, I realized that the bobby cartridge had completely died

So now we have this multifunctional but useless device, like a suitcase without a handle)) We are saving money for a new printer.

Thanks to everyone who mastered my writing, I hope my review will be useful to someone))
