Yesterday, I told you how to make your comments. And today we will continue the topic of comments, but in a different direction.

Let us analyze the comments section in more detail.

Where are all the comments on your YouTube channel?

Naturally, we all know that comments on YouTube are located under each of your videos. But, here is the question: where all the comments can be viewed in one place, and not click on the entire video. This will be especially useful if you want to find a comment, but don’t remember how the video was written by the person.

So, go to your YouTube channel, in the upper right corner you need to find your avatar (profile picture on YouTube), click on it. There will be a window in which click on the inscription CREATIVE STUDIO.

It is in the Creative Studio that the main settings of your channel are located, and such sections as:

  • control panel (shows the latest videos you uploaded, channel comments, statistics)
  • video manager (all videos and playlists of your channel, copyright, etc.)
  • live broadcasts
  • community (comments, posts, subtitles, etc.)
  • YouTube Analytics (analytics, statistics of your channel)
  • Create (music library, video editor)

Now we are interested in the section of the Creative Studio. COMMUNITY, you need to click on it and then select COMMENTS.


This is where all the comments of your channel are located. In this section, you can search for comments, approve or block them (if required).

Types of comments. How to find the right comment?

Comments have 3 sections:

  1. Published (they are already displayed on your channel, everyone can see them)
  2. Under review (they see the comments only you, until you approve them)
  3. Spam (only you can see comments, you can also approve or delete them; sometimes quite normal comments fall into the SPAM section, so check this section too)

And also you can find some comments on the search bar, see the picture above, you only need to enter the necessary word or phase there and click on the magnifying glass icon on the right. YouTube will give you results that fit your search.

If you remember which video was the comment you were looking for, simply select the video you need in the ALL VIDEOS section on the right. And YouTube will show you all the comments for the selected video.

I have already told you about the section ON THE REVIEW, and so: you can set up pre-moderation of your comments or even close the possibility of commenting on some of your videos. How to make comments to your videos on YouTube were visible only after your approval (moderation)?

How to prohibit to comment on video on YouTube?

To prohibit commenting, you just need to remove the check mark from the caption ENABLE COMMENTS and click on SAVE.


After that, when the YouTube user will see your video, they will not be able to leave comments under it. And below instead of the comment line will be the inscription COMMENTS TO THIS VIDEO IS DISABLED.
