Download the nexus mod manager program in Russian. Tool for installing and managing mods Nexus Mod Manager

The question of how to use Nexus Mod Manager first arose among Skyrim fans. Especially for those who like to “coat” the game with all sorts of mods, many of which require the presence of the mentioned utility. More details on how to use will be discussed in the article.

What is going on?

A gamer accustomed to the classic method of downloading modifications is perplexed when faced with the system requirement mentioned above. Where has it been seen that a regular mod has any installation conditions? It turns out that the upgrade of Skyrim is proceeding by leaps and bounds.

In fact, the utility can be compared to the µTorrent client, which is used for file sharing with various torrent trackers. Nexus Mod Manager has a similar principle of operation - you need to register on the official website and download archives by clicking the corresponding button.

How to use?

Truly, the transition from the classic download of changes to Nexus Mod Manager can be called a historical event. The system has become so complicated that it became necessary to receive upgrades not in separate files (as was the case before), but in entire folders united by a logical structure.

The installation is done again using the same utility. If you open the archive itself, you will see only a set of files in it and not find the Setup launch shortcut.

This is because the procedure is carried out using Nexus Mod Manager and the entire mod was “tailored” exclusively for this program. Installation involves selecting a number of options. Mastering this skill requires basic logic, so the gamer will not have a question about how to use the Nexus Mod Manager program.

For Skyrim, for example, installing armor retextures makes it possible to choose when and under what weather conditions the best effect of the set will be. In other words, will a female character freeze in the realities of a harsh winter at the top of the Throat of the World, wearing, roughly speaking, only an “armored bra?”

Properties of NMM

How to use Nexus Mod Manager is already clear. It remains to figure out what useful options the utility can make life easier for the average user (in addition to forced learning of the English language).

Properties are opened by selecting the Settings shortcut in the program window:

  • it is possible to select a directory for storing mods;
  • frequency of automatic update checks;
  • request the latest versions of changes that interest the gamer;
  • indicate the format in which the archives will be stored (rar, zip, 7zip) and the compression level;
  • select a server (Europe or USA).

Possibilities

Another reason why you should wonder how to use Nexus Mod Manager is the ability to adjust the order in which files load when you start the game. The thing is that there are a lot of mods from different developers, each with their own programming principles. Therefore, the slightest inconsistencies in the functioning of the upgrades described above can lead to failures in the game, bugs and crashes.

The utility allows you to adjust the order in which updates are downloaded so that the game functions at the highest level. But to maintain this balance, it is recommended to install files only through this program and nothing else.

Requirements

The utility is very unpretentious and does not have particularly high criteria for correct operation. Nevertheless, it all started with the release of a version for Windows XP, which gradually corrected various bugs and added new features, as well as a database of mods and answers to questions about how to use it.

Nexus Mod Manager 0.54.10 has already been adapted for operating systems such as Windows 7, 8 and Vista. Subsequent updates already included improvements for all the most popular operating systems.

Supported Projects

This is not all the information on how to use Nexus Mod Manager. The latest versions of the project implement automatic update checking for games installed on the computer.

There are quite a few of them, so it is recommended to disable scanning of those projects that are not on the PC, in order to avoid the program meaninglessly generating empty folders and to achieve a better understanding of how to use Nexus Mod Manager. Fallout 4, Skyrim and Dragon Age: Origins are the most popular supported releases. A complete list of games can be seen in the description of the installed version.

When launched, a quick scan will take place, the utility will record the presence of the necessary games, after which you will be asked to select files for the upgrade. Everything else is completely automatic.

Bugs

Alas, no program is immune from failures. The reasons may be different: from the presence of any malware on the gaming platform that affects the utility, to shortcomings of the creators who implemented the new version of Nexus Mod Manager.

How to use the application if there are bugs? Everything is very simple: there are enough Russian-language forums and public pages on the Internet where you can get an answer to your question.

For example, the program works most correctly with the .Net Framework 4.6.1 distribution. If during installation the installation rolls back to version 4.0 and error 0x80070643 is displayed, the issue may be due to installed operating system updates. You should find the distributions KB2918614, KB3008627, KB3072630 and KB3000988 through the “Control Panel” and remove them.

The incompatibility error, which looks like Unable to get write permissions, is resolved by running NMM as an administrator. Mainly observed on Windows Vista.

All other glitches related to the unavailability of profiles and the support of mods for certain projects were associated with the gradual addition of games to the utility and were resolved with the release of a new version. Therefore, the first tip on how to use Nexus Mod Manager if an error occurs is to reinstall the program, replacing it with a more recent version.

Conclusion

Interest in such an application (as mentioned above) has increased due to the desire of gamers to literally fill The Elder Scrolls games with all sorts of modifications. This is especially true for Skyrim.

However, every second player still resorts to standard downloads of mods until they come across a fan release, where the system requirements require the presence of NMM. At this moment, questions arise: what is it, how to launch Skyrim using the utility and how to use it?

Nexus Mod Manager is good because it completely eliminates the possibility of downloading malware, because verified files are scanned for updates. In addition, there is only an English version. If you suddenly come across a crack or a Russian-language release of a utility, it is recommended to avoid this product, since there is a high probability that it may contain a virus or spyware that will harm your computer.

NMM is quite convenient. The functionality of the system allows you to install a great variety of mods in the same notorious Skyrim. It is only important to organize them in order to avoid an endless number of pop-up instructions when starting the game and the inevitable crash.

In this case, you should also pay attention to the description. Most often, the developer indicates with which modifications it functions correctly and with which it does not. The same is true with the mandatory presence of other upgrades: some may not work if they are loaded earlier than others or if the necessary files are not in the list. Again, the releases should be sequenced.

At the moment, NMM allows you to install updates for games such as The Witcher 3, Dark Souls, Dragon’s Dogma, all projects in the Fallout series and many others. New games are added, bugs associated with releases are fixed. Everything is done for convenient use of the system and comfortable gaming.

All that remains is to observe moderation in terms of total downloading of mods and not to go too far, so as not to upset the game balance and not spoil the entire impression of the project. There are cases when a gamer installs Skyrim, within one or two days “covers” the project literally “from head to toe” with modifications, and then decides to completely uninstall it.

A story that has long been a joke, but still reflects the harsh reality. Good game!

If someone does not start NMM after updating:
– If you updated and NMM began to behave strangely or something like that, then it is best to remove NMM completely through “Uninstall programs”, without deleting the mods that you already have installed, do this:
1. Go to “Start” (Windows), then go to “Control Panel”, then go to “Programs” or “Uninstall Programs”, find NMM in the list of installed programs and right-click and click “Uninstall”, it will appear the first window, click “Yes” in it, a second window will immediately appear with the question “Should I delete all configuration files or not?” (in English), here we click “No, in the end NMM itself will be completely removed, but the playlist with mods will remain
2. Next, just run the Nexus Mod Manager.exe installer and always click “Yes” during installation, you don’t need to change anything during the installation process and don’t mark anything, NMM will install itself, that’s all, NMM is installed from scratch, and your mods will remain in NMM

  • IMPORTANT!!! The new version of NMM from 0.60.x onwards includes profiles for mods, which is a great feature of the new version that allows you to have several different mod installations without having to constantly install and uninstall your mod collections. However, in order to make things work, this new version of NMM will make some major changes to the way it installs and make the use of mods on your hard drive. As a result, NMM Manager will uninstall and then re-attempt to reinstall your mods as they were before. It will take a little work for the manager to get your settings working correctly again. If you're in a hurry and just want to play games without a hasty installation, now is not the best time to install this version of NMM. If you have 5 minutes, now is the time to install this version of NMM and use the new functionality of this version.

Many gamers are now playing Fallout 4, and some have already completed the game and are looking for mods to change the environment or replay it. Luckily, the modding community Nexusmods has added modding support for Fallout 4 to their popular Nexus Mod Manager app.

In this guide we will answer three questions:

1. Installation and configuration of Nexus Mod Manager;
2. Enabling support for mods in Fallout 4;
3. Installing the mod.

Today, there are two ways to install mods in Fallout 4: install using the Nexus Mod Manager utility or manually (if you need to talk about it, write in the comments). The first method is convenient and simple, although it requires installing a utility, but the second is inconvenient because you need to copy files manually, and some mods also have their own installation features.

A huge advantage of the NMM program is that you do not have to download each mod for Fallout 4 separately, and then manually copy the files to the game directory, setting up the configuration files. Not only can this replace the necessary files and the game will stop launching, but it is also inconvenient and often incomprehensible.

In addition, the game currently does not have official support for custom modifications - the official application for creating them from Bethesda will appear only in the spring of 2016. At the moment, the nexusmod community is the largest repository of mods for Fallout 4, and the NMM application allows you to install them from the site in two clicks. In addition, the authors constantly release new versions, correcting errors found by players, and screenshots for each mod clearly show what you will get by installing it.

With Nexus Mod Manager, the installation will look like this: you select the desired modification, and the program itself downloads and installs it in a couple of clicks. It is very comfortable!

Installing and Configuring Nexus Mod Manager

To download the utility and then install mods, you need to go to nexusmods.com and register. Registration is not difficult, but without it it is impossible to use the application.

When registering, you will be asked to sign up for a premium account, which allows you to download games at higher speeds. This is not necessary, because there are very few really large mods. And paying money is not part of our plans, so we ignore it. To do this, you do not need to tick the boxes, but simply click at the bottom of the page “Create Account”:

To complete registration, you need to activate your newly created account. This is done using the link that will be sent to you by email after registration.

Now log in to the site, download and install the Nexus Mod Manager program. It supports Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, 10 operating systems. Download link: http://www.nexusmods.com/games/mods/modmanager/

When you first launch the program, it will scan your computer for supported games. Once the scan is complete, you can uncheck the boxes next to those games for which you do not plan to install mods. We'll leave Fallout 4.

Next, select the folder in which the program will store the mods. You will select the desired modification on the nexusmod website, and the program itself will download it and install it in the selected folder. You can leave everything as default.

After completing the settings, the main NMM window will open:

Click on the red figure in the lower left corner and enter in the window that appears the data with which you registered on the website nexusmods.com. The program is ready to use.

Enabling mod support in Fallout 4

Since the game does not yet have official support for mods, the developers have hidden the mechanism for supporting them from users, even though it is already ready and built into the game. To enable it, you need to make changes to the Fallout4Prefs.ini and Fallout4.ini or Fallout4Custom.ini files, which are located in /My Documents/My Games/Fallout4 (the folders may be named slightly differently, depending on the operating system you are using).

Open the Fallout4Prefs.ini file and find the category in it. Add the following line below this line:
bEnableFileSelection=1
Save your changes and close the file.

If you are playing on a version of the game lower than 1.2, open the Fallout4.ini file and find the following text in it:

sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\

Replace it with this:

sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\

Save your changes and close the file.

If you have patch 1.2 or higher installed, then it is not necessary to make changes to Fallout4.ini, but you must change Fallout4Custom.ini.

Open Fallout4Custom.ini and add the following lines to it:

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1
sResourceDataDirsFinal=

That's it, now the game is completely ready to install mods. Despite the apparent complexity, it is simple, and you only have to do it once. But mods can now be installed in a couple of clicks.

Installing the mod

As we said above, the Nexus Mod Manager website has a huge number of mods for Fallout 4. At the time of publication of this article, there are already more than 6,000 of them. Go to the appropriate page and choose any one you like. All mod descriptions are in English, and if you have language difficulties, then go to our website - there are interesting mods with descriptions in Russian. There are not many of them yet, but we are working on it. From our website, download links still lead to nexusmods.com so that you can always install the latest version of the modification.

For each modification of Fallout 4 on nexusmods.com there are screenshots that clearly show what will change in the game after installing this or that mod. So knowledge of English is not necessary at all, especially since below are detailed instructions on which buttons to press and what to do to install.

Considering the somewhat technical dullness of this article, we’ll talk about the installation using the example of a modification that emphasizes the femininity of the main character of the game, dressing her in rather attractive clothes. You can also dress any settler in these clothes. Here is the link: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/7898/.

On the page with the mod, only the three left menu tabs are of interest to us: DESC, FILES, IMAGES.

As you might guess, the first paragraph contains a description of the mod, the second contains files for downloading, and in the third you can see screenshots.

On the FILES tab, click the green “DOWNLOAD WITH MANAGER” button to download the mod. There are usually several versions of a modification presented on the download page, but you need to choose the latest one (just look at the release date). Or select "download manually" to download the mod manually. Then you definitely need to study the “DESC” tab to find out how to install it.

When you click “DOWNLOAD WITH MANAGER” the manager program must be open. Nexus Mod Manager will begin downloading files, after which you will see this mod in the program interface.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Installing and managing mods

Game platform: TES V: Skyrim Legendary Edition

Name: Installing and managing mods

Original name: Nexus Mod Manager

Current version: 0.70.8

Mod language: English

Size: 7.3 MB

Description

The Nexus Mod Manager program is designed for installing modifications for games such as Skyrim, Fallout 4 and some others, as well as for storing them, disabling unused ones and other related tasks.

The latest versions of NMM, from 0.60.x and higher, give the user the ability to create and save multiple modification profiles without the need to periodically install and remove previously created sets of mods. However, to implement this feature, Nexus Mod Manager will take a little time, which it will spend on important changes in the installation method.

Important Notes:

  1. Program versions from 0.60.0 and higher require Net Framework 4.6 and higher to be installed.
  2. If an error message window appears when you start NMM, then pay close attention to the first lines in the window, because we will be told about incorrect names, incorrectly installed modifications and recommendations for eliminating them.

Program features:

  • selection and installation of downloaded mods;
  • added support for .esl files;
  • manual sorting of installed mods;
  • correct removal of installed mods;
  • Archive Invalidation support;
  • launching the game.

Installation:

  1. Update NET.Framework to the latest version.
  2. Download the installer from the link at the bottom of the page
  3. Launch the exe program of the program.
  4. Install.
  5. Launch Nexus Mod Manager.
  6. Select the game you are using, since the program “serves” not only Skyrim.
  7. Select the folder with the game.
  8. If you intend to download modifications directly from the Nexus, you need to register at . To register, you need to use a mailbox on Google.com (…@gmail.com), since Nexus does not take mailboxes of other systems, for example, mail.ru and yandex.ru seriously. However, registration is not required - the program will work without it.

Adding a mod:

  • Select the "Mods" tab.
  • On the left, click "Add Mod from file" (select an archive with a mod).
    • The selected mod appears in the list.
  • Select a mod from the list and on the left click "Activated the selected mod" (or double-click with the left mouse button on the line with the mod).
    • The modification is installed.

Disabling the mod:

  • Select the desired mod from the general list of installed ones and on the left click "Diactivates the selected mod" (or double-click with the left mouse button on the line with the mod).

Updating Nexus Mod Manager from a previous version:

  • Run the Nexus Mod Manager.exe installer and agree to all offers that will be made during installation.
  • If you encounter problems updating NMM, simply uninstall NMM through the “Control Panel”, not forgetting to uncheck the “Delete all configuration files or not?” option. And... install Nexus Mod Manager again.
