You can get rid of the problem by replacing the battery. This procedure is quite simple:

• First of all, you need to turn off and unplug the computer;
• After this, open the unit cover;
• Finding the treasured battery is not difficult: it round shape, silver, approximately the size of a 5-kopeck coin;
• After the latch is released, you need to carefully remove it;

Every time you turn on the computer, a message will appear that will inform the user that you need to press a key F1. When the PC turns on, the time and date will be set incorrectly. Distinctive feature– the date will eventually be reset to some constant time each time it is turned on, for example, to January 1, 2000.

You can easily replace the battery yourself. To do this, turn off the PC, disconnect all the wires from the connectors, place the system unit in an open place, and on the back panel unscrew the screws holding the cover of the system unit. Having removed the top and then the side cover of the system unit, we place the system unit on its side on the table. It’s easier to work this way, because access to all components will immediately become open. A round battery the size of a 5 ruble coin will be installed on the motherboard. It is held in place with a special clamp. By lightly pressing on it, remove the battery and replace it with a new one. After replacing the CMOS battery with a new one, the system unit is assembled and connected to the network. During startup, go to the BIOS by pressing the keys multiple times "F2" or "Delete".

• Open the system manager.

• The battery pops out easily - install a new one (in some cases you will have to use something flat and precise to get the old product out - I was lucky).
