The most powerful Huawei phone. A good smartphone with a powerful battery - Huawei Y6 Pro

A powerful battery is one of important characteristics modern smartphone, which buyers pay attention to. A capacious battery allows you to use the gadget for several days without recharging, listen to music, surf world wide web and just make calls. Some models can “live” 20 hours of talk time, 70 hours of listening to music (3 days!) and up to 1000 hours of standby time. These “battery phones” will be discussed in our rating of the best smartphones with a powerful battery.

The position in the ranking will depend not only on battery power, but also on other characteristics, including price, screen diagonal, amount of RAM, scratch resistance, weight and, of course, reviews from real users.

  1. Standby time – at least 700 hours
  2. Talk time – at least 40 hours
  3. Memory (GB) – the size of the phone’s built-in memory must be at least 32 GB
  4. RAM capacity (MB) – at least 3072 MB
  5. Screen resolution – at least 1920x1080
  6. GLONASS – the ability to determine coordinates using the GLONASS system
  7. Number of processor cores – at least 4
  8. Camera quality - for some users it is important that the smartphone not only has a capacious battery, but also allows you to take relatively high-quality photos
  9. Scratch-resistant glass – the phone screen has a protective glass that is scratch-resistant
  10. Maximum memory card capacity (GB) – the minimum capacity that the phone can support should be 64 GB.
  11. HSDPA / HSUPA – mobile phone support for new generation wireless data transmission technology
  12. Weight (g) – preference is given to lighter devices

For quite objective reasons, the ranking included mainly Chinese smartphones. This shouldn’t be surprising, since the “Chinese” began to produce truly the most capacious phones, and most importantly, at quite affordable price and acceptable quality.

The best inexpensive smartphones with a powerful battery: budget up to 10,000 rubles.

3 BQ BQ-5059 Strike Power

Best price
A country:
Average price: 5,990 RUR
Rating (2019): 4.5

We start with the most budget smartphone – a representative of the BQ company. This is a typical representative of the budget family, but not without pleasant features. What interests us most is the powerful 5000 mAh battery. Under high load conditions it will last 2-3 days. In addition, there is OTG, through which you can not only connect flash drives, but also recharge other, weaker smartphones. I was also pleased with the display – 5’, HD resolution, IPS matrix – the quality is excellent for such a cheap device. Finally, you can praise the device for the latest version of the OS – Android 7.0.

Otherwise, the disadvantages begin due to the extremely low cost. Firstly, the small amounts of RAM and permanent memory - 1 and 8 GB, respectively - do not allow you to fully work with several applications or install “heavy” games. And it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to play - the simple MediaTek MT6580 will provide the proper level of fps only in undemanding casual games. Secondly, there is no 4G LTE, which is unforgivable for a modern smartphone.

2 Meizu M6 Note 16GB

The highest quality budget long-liver
Country: China
Average price: 10,490 RUR
Rating (2019): 4.7

It just so happened that all three leaders in budget segment occupied by Chinese manufacturers. But Meizu is the most famous and civilized of them. The model stands out poorly. The battery is “only” 4000 mAh, but judging by user reviews, with intensive use it lasts for two days, and as a “dialer” the M6 Note will last 5-6 days. Taking into account the support for the Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging function, with which the phone replenishes the battery capacity in a little more than an hour, there are no complaints about autonomy at all.

The rest is average for 2017: “not trendy” 16:9 screen, Android 7.0, 16 GB of permanent memory. But there are also enough advantages: 4G support, a good processor (Snapdragon 625), high-quality photos and sound. We highly recommend it!

1 DOOGEE BL5500 Lite

The most trendy smartphone with powerful battery
Country: China
Average price: 8,930 ₽
Rating (2019): 4.7

The iPhone X laurels are keeping the Chinese from DOOGEE awake. This is clearly visible in the design of the budget BL5500 - a vertical camera position, a “unibrow”, rounded edges and relatively thin frames - all in accordance with the trends. At the same time, the autonomy will please those who still remember push-button devices that last a week on a single charge. Battery capacity 5500 mAh. It claims 35 hours of talk time and almost a month (!) of waiting time. In reality, you should expect 2.5-3 days of active use.

In addition, the “filling” does not predispose to excessive energy consumption. It uses a 6.19" display with a resolution of only 1500x720 pixels, a simple 4-core processor from MediaTek and 2 GB of RAM (16 GB of ROM). But DOOGEE can boast of 4G, a dual camera and a fingerprint scanner.

The best smartphones with a powerful battery in the mid-segment: budget up to 25,000 rubles.

3 Xiaomi Mi Max 2 64GB

Largest display
Country: China
Average price: 11,400 ₽
Rating (2019): 4.6

The category of long-lasting mid-class smartphones Mi Max 2 from Xiaomi opens. The model turned out to be so successful that it has earned a huge number of positive reviews from professional testers and ordinary users. And this is not the first time this giant with a 6.44-inch screen appears on our website. The FullHD IPS matrix provides excellent image quality, which makes watching videos, playing games and simply surfing the Internet extremely pleasant. At the same time, you don’t have to worry about autonomy, because the engineers managed to install a 5300 mAh battery in a thin 7.6 mm case. It is enough for two full working days. Don’t worry about long recharge times – Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology is used. By the way, modern USB Type-C is present.

In terms of hardware, Mi Max 2 is typically average. The processor may be from 2017, but its power will be sufficient for most tasks in 2019. RAM 4 GB, internal memory 64 GB. There are all the necessary communication modules, and in addition to them, a rare but useful IR sensor for controlling equipment, Wi-Fi Direct and three navigation systems for maximum accuracy and speed.

2 Xiaomi Pocophone F1 6/64GB

The most powerful mid-range smartphone
Country: China
Average price: 21,890 ₽
Rating (2019): 4.7

A flagship for 22 thousand rubles? It is quite possible if it is Xiaomi. Pocophone impresses with many things, including its battery. Capacity – non-standard for the class 4000 mAh. Most competitors are “weaker” by almost a third. This allows you to at least survive from early morning to late evening with very intensive use. And if you slow down, the battery will last the second day. In addition, there is fast charging from Qualcomm.

The rest of the characteristics are pleasing. 6.2’ display with FullHD+ resolution, the most powerful Snapdragon 845 processor, 6 GB of RAM, support for all modern communication standards, including Bluetooth 5.0. The dual camera is also great. In general, a very fast, but affordable and autonomous flagship from Xiaomi. Surprised!

1 ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 ZB602KL 3/32GB

The best combination of price, autonomy and characteristics
Country: China
Average price: 12,800 ₽
Rating (2019): 4.8

ASUS can hardly be called a leader in the smartphone market, but models like ZenFone Max Pro M1 deservedly received popular love. First of all, the model is interesting for its 5000 mAh battery. The manufacturer claims 42 hours of talk time and 840 hours of standby! In reviews, users boast of two or even three days of battery life under normal load.

I don't want to let go of the device. All thanks to a good 6-inch IPS display (2160x1080 pixels) and a powerful mid-level Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor. There is not much memory - 3/32 GB (RAM/ROM), there is a slot for MicroSD. The communication modules are modern, as is the Android version – 8.1. The only disappointment is the mediocre quality of the dual camera.

The best rugged smartphones with a powerful battery (shockproof and waterproof housing)

A smartphone is an integral part of the necessary to modern man tools. They do not leave it alone at home, at work, or on vacation, which means there is a high probability of its breakdowns. To prevent this from happening, you should purchase additionally protected devices. The most sought-after characteristics are waterproof and shockproof.
The waterproof case is designed in a special way to protect the device from liquids. With such a gadget, you are not afraid to find yourself in the rain, sleet or splashes on the beach. It is worth remembering that not all models are completely sealed, so immersion in water can lead to serious damage and breakdown.
The shock resistance of the device is achieved by using special materials that prevent the smartphone from malfunctioning if it falls or hits a hard surface. For people who prefer active recreation and extreme sports, this device is suitable like no other.

4 Caterpillar S61

Good characteristics and unique features
A country: USA (manufactured in China)
Average price: 50,680 RUR
Rating (2019): 4.6

Caterpillar is known to many for its indestructible mining machines and clothing. The company's smartphone also has the same characteristics. The appearance is modest - no screws or hypertrophied linings. All the most interesting things are inside. What interests us most is the 4500 mAh battery. The indicator is not the best in its class, but it is enough for a couple of days of active use of the device. The manufacturer claims 35 hours of talk time and 888 hours of standby.

The processor, memory and cameras are average and do not deserve special attention. But about a thermal imager (for example, it will allow you to identify heat leaks in the house), a laser rangefinder (digital “roulette” with an error of only 5-8 mm) and an air quality sensor will definitely surprise you. There are likely to be many professions where the combination of these sensors, autonomy and ruggedness will come in handy.

3 DOOGEE S50 6/64GB

The most beautiful rugged smartphone
Country: China
Average price: 15,490 RUR
Rating (2019): 4.6

Most rugged smartphones resemble a brick, but not the DOOGEE S50. The model is brutal, but without excesses - elegance is also present. Everything is great inside too. The 5180 mAh battery is especially pleasing. At active use enough for 2.5-3 days. When going to the forest, you can safely count on a week of use in camera mode (besides, there are 4 cameras here, and they are not Bad quality) and rare calls.

The filling is average, but the manufacturer did not skimp on memory: 6 GB of RAM and 64 ROM. The case with a 5.7-inch HD+ screen (18:9 aspect ratio) is protected according to the IP68 standard, and, judging by user reviews, it withstands impacts very well. The only complaint about the S50 is the terrible quality of the speaker: the sound is quiet, wheezing, and does not always work - be sure to check before purchasing.

2 Blackview BV6000

Best price
Country: China
Average price: 11,990 RUR
Rating (2019): 4.0

The second position in the rating is occupied by another “robust” one, Blackview BV6000, which can even withstand washing in an automatic machine, after which it calmly returns to the standard operating mode. The presented smartphone, unlike its competitors, has best price at 13,000 rub. It is very rare to come across such a profitable offer on the market of rugged smartphones, given the fact that the device is no worse than similar models in terms of the quality of materials and performance characteristics.

The case is a well-assembled structure made of shockproof metal, plastic and third-generation Gorilla Glass. A wide 4.7-inch diagonal screen allows the user to comfortably watch videos and play games. Rear camera from Sony (13 megapixels) takes good quality pictures, and the front one (5 megapixels) makes it possible to see a clear picture when communicating through video messengers. Among the pleasant bonuses, the smartphone supports 4G LTE.

1 Conquest S8

Excellent equipment. 6000 mAh battery (22 hours talk time)
Country: China
Average price: 35,900 ₽
Rating (2019): 4.7

The clear leader in the rating among protected devices was the Conquest S8 smartphone. A capacious 6,000 mAh battery allows the device to operate in talk mode for 22 hours, and in standby mode for 950 hours. In addition, obvious advantage, the main thing will still be the “unbreakable” body of the gadget, made of high-strength metal and plastic. Many crash tests carried out clearly demonstrate ideal compliance with the characteristics declared by the manufacturer - the device is not afraid of complete immersion in water, strong impacts, falls from great heights, and even cars passing over it.

The device has a normal weight of 290 grams, a 5-inch screen and 16 GB of internal memory, expandable. The smartphone is equipped with a connector for an antenna, which is included in the kit. When using it, it is converted into a 1 W walkie-talkie with a frequency range of 400-470 MHz.

The best premium smartphones with a powerful battery

4 Xiaomi Mi Note 2 64GB

The lowest price. Ultra slim body
Country: China
Average price: 19,490 RUR
Rating (2019): 4.5

Let's start with Mi Note 2 from Xiaomi, made in a minimalist design. There are no unnecessary inscriptions, complex forms, unnecessary elements– everything is strict and neat, glass and metal. The front and back surfaces “float” somewhat onto the sides, which creates a very pleasant visual effect. The model stands out for its record thickness – only 7.6 mm. At the same time, the battery is in no way inferior to those of competitors - 4070 mAh. How engineers managed to install such a battery in such a thin and light case is a mystery.

The screen is 5.7-inch, OLED, with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels - the picture is excellent. The processor is of the highest level, but last year - Qualcomm Snapdragon 821. Paired with it is 4 GB of RAM - useful, because MiUI consumes RAM in buckets. The camera has high resolution– 22 megapixels, but there is no optical stabilization. The pictures come out quite good. Also noteworthy is the use of a modern USB Type-C connector and support for fast charging - this is very useful for such a capacious battery.

3 Huawei Mate 10 Dual Sim

Great sound and built-in neural network
Country: China
Average price: 29,490 RUR
Rating (2019): 4.6

Huawei's flagship is not a typical smartphone. But first things first. Externally, the new product looks fresh, stylish, and original. The combination of metal and glass feels very pleasant in the hand. The display is almost six inches, but the frames, in line with trends, are minimal, which is why the dimensions of the device remain within reasonable limits. Performance is quite typical for its class. All modern communication modules, fingerprint scanner, dust and splash protection - full set gentleman. The battery is slightly smaller than the competition - 4000 mAh - but it's still significantly larger than most other flagships. Even in “hold your hands” mode, the phone will definitely survive from early morning until late evening. In economy mode, the battery can be extended for 2-2.5 days.

Several things deserve special attention. The most impressive thing is the neural network built into the processor. It “studies” the user and over time allows you to load into right time the right application for more quick launch. It is also used for processing photos from the dual main camera module. Like many other Huawei smartphones, it uses one color (12 MP, f/1.6) and one monochrome module (20 MP). There is optical stabilization. Finally, the manufacturer decided to please audiophiles - Lossless sound is supported.

2 Huawei P20 Pro

The best camera on the market
Country: China
Average price: 46,650 RUR
Rating (2019): 4.7

Another representative of Huawei has today's top characteristics, but is no different from the previous participant in terms of battery. There is still the same 4000 mAh, which is enough for a day of active work or two with normal load for most users. But there is a fast charging function, with which the smartphone is charged to 100% in less than an hour!

The characteristics are typical of a flagship: 8-core HiSilicon Kirin 970, 6 GB of RAM, 4G LTE, NFC and many other goodies. But the camera is much more attractive: the triple module (40+20+8 megapixels) provides excellent quality of pictures and videos, recognized as the best on the market by authoritative publications. This is where a high-capacity battery comes in handy - you can take photos with it all day long!

1 Samsung Galaxy Note 9

High performance. Fast wireless charging
Country: South Korea
Average price: 59,990 RUR
Rating (2019): 4.8

The category leader again does not surprise with its battery. The already familiar 4000 mAh provides about 9 hours of screen operation when wireless communication modules are turned on. For most users, a smartphone can last about two days. We have already seen all this from our competitors. What's more pleasing is the charging capabilities. In addition to fast charging via cable (up to 100% in 90 minutes), fast wireless (!) charging is supported. The speed is lower, but how convenient.

The characteristics are, of course, flagship: Exynos 9810 processor, 6 GB of RAM and 128 ROM, an excellent dual camera and all the latest versions of communication modules. Separately, we note the magnificent 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2960x1440 pixels and the built-in stylus, which significantly expands the use cases for Note 9.

The best push-button phones with a powerful battery

3 BQ BQ-2430 Tank Power

4000 mAh for 2 thousand rubles
A country: Russia (manufactured in China)
Average price: 1,910 ₽
Rating (2019): 4.6

The category opens with a model from BQ with a very brutal, military design. In reality, unfortunately, the device is neither shock- nor water-resistant. But the name Tank Power fully justifies - the 4000 mAh battery lasts a long time. No, for a very long time! In reviews, users say that they were unable to drain the phone after a month of use. All thanks to the simplest filling, which only allows you to make calls, write SMS and listen to the radio (fortunately, there is a built-in FM antenna).

The battery is so large that the manufacturer has provided for using the phone as a power bank - you can charge a second phone or any other device. The only negative is the need to use a MicroUSB plug with a long “spout” - another one simply won’t fit into the connector.

2 Digma LINX A230WT 2G

Best battery capacity (6000mAh)
Country: China
Average price: 3,000 ₽
Rating (2019): 4.7

When you first look at Digma Linx, you are amazed by its dimensions. The case dimensions are comparable to modern smartphones in width, with a thickness of 2.5 cm and a weight of almost 300 grams. And this without an additional antenna! Of course, the lion's share of the mass falls on the gigantic 6000 mAh battery. This is a record figure in the class, which will be the envy of many smartphones. Depending on the intensity of use, the phone lasts for 1-3 months. Of course, if you don’t use it as a powerbank (there’s even a full-size USB connector for that).

Among the interesting features, it is also worth noting a very bright flashlight (“hits” about 40 meters), which is turned on by a separate toggle switch even when the phone is turned off, and a walkie-talkie mode, for which that same antenna is needed. There are a lot of shortcomings, but on hikes, for which LINX was created, you pay little attention to them.

1 Philips Xenium E570

Best Features and Quality
Country: Netherlands
Average price: 4,460 rub.
Rating (2019): 4.7

The flagship among push-button phones is how the Xenium E570 can be described. Yes, the model is expensive. Yes, there are some minor flaws in the system that you have to get used to. But the high build quality, reliability and performance outweigh these disadvantages. Even externally the device looks beautiful - a large amount of metal does its job. User reviews praise the main parameter for a dialer – the sound quality during a conversation. You hear your interlocutor well, and he, in turn, hears you well. Many budget phones often fail to provide even this.

Among the pleasant features, we note the presence of a 2 MP camera, sufficient for shooting important documents, support for WAP and GPRS, and 128 MB of internal memory. Battery capacity 3160 mAh. The manufacturer claims autonomy in standby mode for about six months! In reality, the E570 lives for about 3 weeks active mode- an excellent indicator.

The topic of smartphones with large batteries is gradually fading into the background. It was extremely relevant and popular in 2012-2014, when the market was offered handsets with a powerful battery that provided long charging in exchange for a thin body and light weight. These are “bricks” that can be charged once every 2-3 days.

It’s strange, but large companies, the so-called A-brands, did not pick up this fashion. Well, or almost not picked up - several models were released by Lenovo, but giants like Samsung remained on the sidelines. This is understandable - these manufacturers put more pressure on optimizing smartphones, both software and hardware, in order to achieve the same effect, without at the same time getting a weighty phone that weighs on your pocket.

However, one of the leaders in the smartphone market has in its assortment a good smartphone with a powerful battery, namely the Chinese Huawei. The Y6 Pro model was introduced in 2015 and continues to be sold in 2016. The phone is inexpensive, but offers good characteristics. Let's see what else is interesting in it.

Video review of Huawei Y6 Pro

As always, first I suggest watching the video review of Huawei Y6 Pro:

Design

This is not to say that Huawei does not pay attention to the design of its devices - quite the opposite. Especially when it comes to flagships or at least mid-range handsets. However, the Y6 Pro is one step below these “average” ones, and therefore this model does not stand out very much in terms of appearance.

However, “a step below average” does not mean “a budget smartphone” - Huawei Y6 Pro is somewhere in the middle, and therefore they tried to give it a certain semblance of design. More precisely, not like that - they tried to add a certain originality.

And so it turned out that the device was “stuck” somewhere in the middle between a faceless semi-budget phone and an image product with an original appearance. However, it is closer to the first one. Especially when viewed from the front: here we see a typical screen rectangle with rounded corners. The gold color (we had Huawei Y6 Pro gold) does not change anything.

The back cover looks more interesting. It is sloping, making the tube comfortable to hold in your hand. But the main thing here is the textural embossing, which plays in the light. The tactile sensations from it are unusual, but nothing more. And you quickly get used to them. The lid has a smooth coating, but the device does not slip out.

In general, in addition to the gold one, I know about the black Huawei Y6 Pro black and gray Huawei Y6 Pro grey. But black looks so advantageous - after all, light colors are usually more noticeable.

The Y6 Pro is well assembled – there are no complaints here. But the weight and size parameters raise certain questions. So the thickness of the tube reaches 9.7 mm, and the weight is 160 grams. And if it’s quite possible to live with such a thickness, then the weight is more typical for 5.5-inch models, rather than a 5.0-inch “average” phone. But this is the price for a capacious battery.

Connectors and controls

Huawei smartphones have problems with buttons – the company prefers virtual navigation tools. However, this can be found from many manufacturers.

Above the screen you can see the earpiece, the front camera lens and a small strip with light and proximity sensors.

Below the screen of the Y6 Pro there is a small panel with the Huawei inscription. The navigation buttons, as I said, are virtual.

At the back, all the elements are grouped at the top: the main camera lens, the flash next to it and a second microphone for noise reduction above it.

The left side is completely empty.

On the right are all the buttons: for turning on and adjusting the volume.

At the top there is a 3.5 mm mini-jack for headphones and headsets.

At the bottom you can see a microUSB port and a pair of speakers. Quite loud, by the way - the Chinese love it when it rattles so much that half the body shakes.

Despite the fact that the Huawei Y6 Pro allows you to remove the back cover, its battery is not removable - removing it can void the warranty. For the same reason, all card compartments were moved to top part: two for microSIM and one for microSD. Dealing with them is very simple, but if it doesn’t work out, then our short video will solve the problem:

The ergonomics of the Y6 Pro did not bring any surprises: everything here is completely ordinary, like most smartphones. The flagship feature of moving to the bottom end of the audio jack was not added, which is not scary. But the non-removable battery is frustrating.

Case for Huawei Y6 Pro

Buying a case or cover for Huawei Y6 Pro turned out to be quite simple - this model is popular.

This cover for the back panel costs about 850 rubles.

Such a book case for Huawei Y6 Pro will cost a little - 1,250 rubles.

There are also funny covers for Huawei Y6 Pro. This kind of leather model costs a decent amount - almost 2,200 rubles.

Huawei Y6 Pro screen

It’s not difficult to see a good screen in an inexpensive smartphone today. Of course, by flagship standards it’s not very good, but if we take the “sufficient for most” level, then even a budget phone can be quite satisfactory in terms of display. Huawei Y6 Pro was no exception in this regard, which is good news.

The device is equipped with a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels, which gives a pixel density of 294 ppi. The value is not at all record-breaking, but more than sufficient in most cases. The image clarity is not ideal, but quite decent - grain is not visible unless you look closely.

The picture itself looks good, but you still have to deal with an IPS matrix, even if it’s not the best in its class. The viewing angles of the display are good, the color rendition in general is also not bad, but in the sun the screen goes blind, which is unpleasant.

The situation with daylight is partly explained by not the highest maximum brightness - 369.08 cd/m2, which is not small, but not a record at all. This result is no more than average. The brightness of black was 0.37 cd/m2, which is also quite average - black looks slightly grayish. The final contrast was 998:1.

The color gamut falls slightly short of the sRGB color space, which is why I can't characterize the Y6 Pro's screen as representative good IPS displays. But you are unlikely to see any problems with the display of colors.

The white balance is off, which is the norm for the vast majority of smartphones and tablets. The violation is approximately the same as for everyone - the color temperature is 1200-1400K higher than the reference value, that is, the picture is displayed colder than it should be.

The gamma curve of the display is also broken - in the upper part it sags relative to the reference curve 2.2, which indicates darkening of light fragments of the image.

The screen recognizes up to 5 simultaneous touches. A normal option for an inexpensive smartphone.

In the Huawei Y6 Pro display settings, we discovered an extremely interesting “Color Temperature” item. I’m used to seeing something like this only on flagship handsets, and even then not on all of them. Here you can adjust the white balance to suit your preferences.

Total by Huawei screen Y6 Pro we can conclude the following: a good display for its price level. Resolution, color rendition, brightness margin - all these parameters are not outstanding, but not at all underestimated. Most will be satisfied with them. I would also like to note the presence of a useful option for adjusting white balance.

Evolution has now reached the point where even relatively affordable devices have begun to have more or less decent cameras. So the Huawei Y6 Pro has a 13 MP module. Of course, the number of megapixels is not an indicator of quality, but usually such sensors produce at least acceptable images.

The control application is quite simple. Switching between shooting modes is done almost like in iOS, but there is additional options. For example, applying filters, as well as other modes for photography.

There are not very many settings, among them there is the ability to set the level of ISO sensitivity and white balance.

Maximum resolution is achieved when the aspect ratio is 4:3.

The camera takes pictures very well, I must say. The photos have excellent white balance, nice soft colors, nice background blur and good clarity. In room lighting conditions, the quality drops a little, but overall the shots come out very, very good.

In terms of video, the smartphone was extremely surprising - having a 13 MP camera and such good shooting quality, it captures video in a resolution of only 1280x720 pixels. I hope that the problem is in the test sample, or more precisely in a software limitation on the firmware side.

Meanwhile, the video does not look as good as the photo. The colors are still decent, but the clarity is lacking.

The front camera has the option of creating an audio note and setting a watermark, and also has a resolution of 5 MP.

The front sensor does not provide as good pictures as the rear one. They clearly show white balance imbalance and chromatic aberrations. They also have lower sharpness, but nothing is blown out.

Video on the front camera is shot with a resolution of 1280x720 - the same as the rear one!

Despite the same resolution, the video from the front camera is less clear and the colors are less natural.

In principle, the camera of the Huawei Y6 Pro is very good. The quality of the pictures was a pleasant surprise, but the same cannot be said about the video – the resolution below Full HD for a smartphone of this class and the installed sensor is a disgrace, sorry.

Huawei doesn't always have a clear product line. So formally, the smartphone tested is designated Y6 Pro (TIT-AL00). I also found two more possible names: Honor Play 5X and Enjoy 5. And this despite the fact that the company also has a separate Honor series.

Next to the Huawei Y6 Pro in the characteristics table is the one we tested at the beginning of 2016. I chose it for the simple reason that it is available at the same price as the current smartphone, while having similar dimensions.

However, it's immediately clear that the Y6 Pro offers noticeably better options. So it has a relatively decent MediaTek MT6735P processor, which has four Cortex-A53 cores operating at a frequency of 1.3 GHz. Formally, this is a competitor to the popular Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, and therefore the budget Spreadtrum SC9830 chip simply cannot keep up with it. In general, it would be worth putting in the table, but it costs a third more than a Chinese tube.

Meanwhile, this same Chinese handset is equipped with a Mali-T720 MP2 video card. Quite modern, but not the fastest solution. Although, again, it depends on what you compare it with. If with the Mali-400 MP4, which is found in the most budget phones, then victory will clearly go to the “seven hundredth” series, and if with the Adreno 306 from the same Snapdragon 410, then we can expect approximate parity. Just right for its class, in short.

There is 2 GB of RAM, and 16 GB of built-in flash memory. In principle, in this price range these values are the norm for most inexpensive handsets. Samsung, however, sells such characteristics at a higher price, offering in return a more advanced Super screen AMOLED.

The communication capabilities of the Huawei Y6 Pro look normal: Wi-Fi 802.11n, Bluetooth 4.0 and LTE Cat.4. Perhaps the main thing here is the availability of support for the latest standard. 4G is already present in most modern smartphones, although not in its fastest version.

WITH greater characteristics Y6 Pro suits me. For its money, the smartphone provides an acceptable level of performance and a variety of functions. However, I’ll tell you more about performance now.

Performance testing

It is interesting to evaluate the performance of Huawei Y6 Pro relative to the same Samsung Galaxy J3 - how much faster the Chinese will be, being available for the same price.

The old Smartbench 2012 test clearly gives victory to the Y6 Pro - due to the more advanced processor architecture.

But in the SunSpider browser benchmark, Samsung was ahead. Obviously, the point is the single-threaded load that the browser provides, which means that the one with the higher clock speed wins.

Graphics performance definitely remains with the Y6 Pro. Everything comes into play here: faster processor cores and a more modern video card.

Huawei Y6 Pro in Antutu

I will separately go through the results in the popular Antutu test.

As expected, a smartphone from Huawei has come out ahead - it is better than Samsung in all respects.

Samsung smartphones usually show very decent battery life, even inexpensive models. However, this time Huawei Y6 Pro has a significant trump card - a capacious 4000 m*Ah battery.

If we take it as a basis, then the handset from Huawei really works for a long time. Although its victory over Samsung can be counted purely formally only because of the larger battery. Let me remind you that the opposite consequence of this was increased thickness and weight.

The maximum energy consumption occurs in those tasks when the screen is on - obviously, this is the main consumer of battery power. Although, of course, the activation of computing units, which happens in games, also affects autonomy.

The Phone Manager app has a section for power saving management that offers additional power saving modes.

In general, I was satisfied with the performance and autonomy of the Huawei Y6 Pro. The tube belongs to long-lasting smartphones and comfortable to use. Applications on it do not slow down, everything works smoothly.

Games on Huawei Y6 Pro

And the final touch is checking games on Huawei Y6 Pro.

  • Riptide GP2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Asphalt 7: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Asphalt 8: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Modern Combat 5: excellent, the game does not slow down;
  • N.O.V.A. 3: Some delays are visible;

  • Dead Trigger: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Dead Trigger 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Real Racing 3: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Need For Speed: No Limits: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Shadowgun: Dead Zone: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Frontline Commando: Normandy: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Frontline Commando 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Eternity Warriors 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Eternity Warriors 4: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Trial Xtreme 3: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Trial Xtreme 4: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Dead Effect: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Dead Effect 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Plants vs Zombies 2: excellent, the game does not slow down;

  • Dead Target: excellent, the game does not slow down.

The Y6 Pro video card is quite capable of running all games in the native screen resolution of 1280x720. It is not very high, and therefore does not slow down anything on the phone. And there is enough memory to install several of the largest games.

BY

Huawei Y6 Pro from a point of view operating system somewhat outdated. So it runs Android 5.1, although in mid-2016 we can safely expect availability of Android 6 or at least updates to it. There will be no update, as you understand. This is not a disaster, but it still makes the device somewhat older.

Meanwhile, the proprietary Emotion UI 3.1 Lite shell (aka EMUI) is installed on top of the system, while the 2016 Huawei flagships have version 4.0. In any case, nothing has changed fundamentally in it - main principle, according to which there is no separate list of applications, has been preserved.

The shell has a lot of settings, so you can transform it as you wish.

True, he is responsible for the design theme separate application"Themes".

Notifications occupy the entire curtain, and quick settings are located on a separate tab.

The task manager has been completely redrawn and looks completely different from the standard one. It is more reminiscent of what could be seen in Android 4.x - list open applications displayed in the form of a grid of screenshots.

There are no special settings in the smartphone. Of course, they are redrawn and expanded relative to the standard ones, but they don’t offer anything extraordinary. The ability to change the location of icons on the navigation bar is difficult to classify as something special.

There are few special applications on the phone. Most of them are standard programs like notes, calendar, clock and so on.

The only thing of interest is the already mentioned “Phone Manager”. It’s not difficult to guess its purpose: optimization of the device’s operation. Here you can clear the RAM, delete the application cache from permanent storage on your smartphone, configure the notification center, and so on.

As I said, the other programs are not that interesting. Of course, they are redrawn and even reworked in some places. But globally they do not offer anything fundamentally new. And can they, in principle?

What was extremely surprising was the file manager, which does not allow you to rename files. Although this is not required often, but if it is necessary, then how do you order it to be? Install a third-party program?

The backup option is also extremely useful. True, it is not entirely clear what is archived there and, most importantly, where it all adds up.

Another nice thing is that the system works in 64-bit mode. Albeit a little, but it gives an increase in speed. But even without him, I’m sure nothing would have slowed things down. In short, the Huawei Y6 Pro is quite pleasant to use, both from an ergonomic point of view and overall performance.

Conclusion

Huawei Y6 Pro has proven itself to be a good inexpensive smartphone with a large battery and, as a result, good autonomy. In other words, he completed his main task. It is clear that you will have to pay for this with excess weight and increased thickness, but both of these parameters are quite tolerable. I will also add that a long operating time is achieved due to a powerful battery.

Otherwise, the phone proved to be a strong “average” product. It has a relatively fast 4-core 64-bit MediaTek processor with LTE support, a quite acceptable amount of memory, both RAM and flash. I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of a white balance setting on the screen. The screen itself is not particularly outstanding, but in its own way price category quite acceptable. I was very pleased with the main camera, although the low video resolution looks like some kind of mistake.

From all angles, the Y6 Pro looks quite positive, with the exception of a couple of minuses. So how much are they asking for it?

Price Huawei Y6 Pro

You can buy Huawei Y6 Pro for 12 thousand rubles. The price is really quite normal, considering the capabilities of the smartphone.

Samsung Galaxy J3 (2016) is also priced at 12 thousand rubles and has a 5-inch display, which means it is a direct competitor to Huawei Y6 Pro. At the same time, it has a noticeably weaker processor and video card, less memory, a little worse camera and not such a capacious battery. However, autonomy is still good, and the weight and thickness are lower. The South Korean smartphone also has a higher-quality Super AMOLED screen.

Xiaomi Redmi 3 looks even more interesting. The device has a 5-inch IPS screen, Android 5.1, a 4100 mAh battery, it is thinner and weighs less, and is equipped with a very decent Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 processor. There is 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of flash memory. But with the price, everything is very strange here. In some stores you can buy it for less than 10 thousand, and in others - from 15 to 17 thousand.

Sold for 14 thousand and overall does not look as interesting as Huawei. This phone has a weaker processor and a not so good camera. But the weight and thickness are less, despite the same battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh. But in any case, the Y6 Pro looks like the better option.

Pros:

Minuses:

  • non-removable battery;
  • heavy weight for its size;
  • low video resolution.

And are you thinking about which smartphone from this brand is worth purchasing in 2017, then our selection of the best models is especially for you. Our rating includes both flagship and more affordable phone models that have their own unique features, such as a capacious battery, a top-end processor, or a powerful dual set of cameras on board.

Huawei launched its last phone Huawei Enjoy 6 in October 2016. Now the company plans to make an improved version of it and is about to launch a new one Huawei Enjoy 6S. The phone will be more stylish and thinner than its predecessor Enjoy 6.

The new product comes with a 5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280x720 pixels. The phone is built on Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 435 combined with 3 GB of RAM. The gadget has 32 GB of built-in flash memory, which can be expanded using a TF memory card. Enjoy 6S has just one main 13-megapixel camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. This is one of the most balanced budget smartphones 2017.

Either a tablet or a smartphone– this is the first thought that arises when looking at this unusually large device. But behind the non-standard appearance lies an impressive set of advantages, and the first of them is camera. They did a good job on it: a module from Sony, six lenses, three-axis electronic and optical stabilization, phase and laser autofocus. In practice, all these bells and whistles work quite well: Focus is fast and accurate, the picture comes out excellent. In addition, the camera control menu is very convenient, there are a lot of modes, including “low light”, in which you can get a really high-quality photo in non-ideal conditions. It is possible to take photos on completely manual settings. Videos can be recorded in 4K. The front camera allows you to take more than decent selfies.

Another pride of the model is capacious battery. Although here it is worth making allowances for the screen size and the filling parameters, which consume a lot of energy. As a result, we get 34 hours of talk time, 10 hours of video viewing and the same amount of Internet surfing. There is a fast charging function and the ability to recharge other gadgets. If the battery were even larger, the smartphone would be completely ideal.

The device is also worth praising for its screen resolution, excellent hardware with which any application will work, as well as the presence protective glass Corning Gorilla Glass 4. All wireless technologies, including LTE, locally, 2 SIM cards supported. Only the screen size causes mixed reactions, but there is a category of users who will like such a display.

Huawei Mate 9

Big stylish smartphone in a metal case can safely be called one of the best camera phones of our time. Huawei has already experimented with a dual main camera, but this time the result exceeded all expectations. When you first look at the gadget, what catches your eye is two camera lenses fromLeica: one of them is black and white at 20 MP, the second is color at 12 MP. Thanks to this duet, not only the blur function is implemented background and creating three-dimensional photos, but also a significant improvement in the quality of images.

The black-and-white lens captures the maximum amount of light, the color module captures the color, and in tandem they allow you to get clear, high-quality images with accurate color reproduction and a minimum of noise. After taking a photo, you can change the focus point, and in the camera menu it is very convenient and easy to call professional mode– this is for those who like to delve into the settings. Speaking of photos, it’s also worth noting 2x optical zoom and hybrid autofocus. The photo quality is excellent. The front camera didn't disappoint either. Videos can be recorded in 4K resolution.

The strong point of all smartphones in the Mate line is autonomy, and this gadget did not lose face. The battery capacity is 4000 mAh, which is enough for two days of full work. You can charge other devices from the device, there is fast charging function. Other advantages of the device include excellent screen resolution, protective glass, speed and high performance. You can complain about the dimensions, but this is rather an acquired taste, but if you are looking for a smartphone with a good camera, a powerful battery and an impressive display, then this is exactly what you need, but the price is a bit high.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2

The popularity of smartphones with big screen It’s impossible not to notice: the diagonals are still growing, which is why the 5-inch versions today receive a mini prefix. How justified and convenient this is is the topic of a separate article, but we will focus on the features of a stylish and productive smartphone. Decided to conquer the user curved screen– the feature is really cool and gives the device a premium feel. The main camera received a module from Sony, good aperture, wide angle (80 degrees) 6-element lens and electronic stabilization, there is no optical stabilization here. In fact, we get instant focusing and excellent shots, but when compared with latest iPhone, then the quality is still a little inferior. In night shooting conditions, the device behaves surprisingly sanely. The front camera allows you to take decent photos, but this is not surprising: the smartphone was primarily designed for the Chinese market, where selfies are held in high esteem among the population.

The manufacturer took care of the user and gave him the opportunity not only to take excellent pictures, but also to do without a power outlet for a long time. 4070 mAh battery, taking into account economical OLED-display And software optimization enough for 12 hours of watching movies or 7 hours of 3D games. In normal use, this is two days of work. There is also a fast charging function. In other respects, this is a fast modern smartphone, dressed in metal and glass, with an eye-catching design and a large, high-quality display. The downside is the price, and the version with 6 GB of RAM costs more than $600.

Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro

Samsung introduced this stylish and thin device last year, but interest in the gadget is still high. And the point here is not only and not so much in the big screen and not even in the cameras, which are wow, but in the battery. It so happened, unfortunately, that the giants of the sphere are in no hurry to supply their devices with normal batteries, and against their background, the Galaxy A9 Pro is a pleasant exception. According to the manufacturer, The battery will last for 33 hours of talking or 109 hours of listening to music. There is a fast charging function.

But not by bread alone... In addition to a powerful battery, the smartphone has a good camera. Due to image stabilization and thoughtful software (namely software often ruins fairly good camera modules) high-quality images can be obtained in almost any conditions. The focusing speed is also worth praising. The front camera is ordinary. The device received a fingerprint sensor, all possible modern wireless technologies and AMOLED display. In terms of price, quality, appearance and reputation of the manufacturer, this is one of the best smartphones in its category.

DOOGEE F7 Pro

It just so happened that most of the devices that matched our search criteria turned out to have a large screen. Fashion, trends, convenience – it depends on you, but if you want a smartphone with a good camera and battery, you’ll have to put up with it. Please note that this device is fast and productive 10-core processor– a bold bid to compete with the flagships. However, this is the flagship, though from Chinese company, and therefore is not as expensive as its advertised competitors.

Already appearance This device claims to be premium: thin, elegant body, metal frame, streamlined lines, 2.5D-glass- everything is as it should be. The plastic is pleasant to the touch, fits well in the hand and does not slip, so it will be difficult to drop such a colossus. Under the camera module and dual flash there is a fingerprint scanner - its location is justified considering the size of the device. The main camera received module fromSony at 21 MP, electronic stabilization, phase detection autofocus and can take pictures in resolutions up to 26 megapixels. In fact, we have excellent color rendition, correct operation in almost all shooting modes and good detail.

The front camera received a module from Samsung and its own flash; the camera’s performance is satisfactory. As for battery life, everything is fine here, there is energy saving mode. The gadget doesn’t look like a shovel – thin frames save it. The only drawback of the model is the lack of a slot for a memory card, but even here everything is subjective, because the built-in 32 GB is enough for most.

HTC One X10

The main camera has an OmniVision sensor, phase detection autofocus, and a bright dual flash. It takes excellent pictures, the frames come out sharp, the focus works quickly and accurately, there is little noise, of course they appear in night shooting conditions, but they do not spoil the overall impression and color rendition. The video camera records a maximum of FullHD, and the front camera boasts a wide viewing angle, but often blurs the picture a little.

As for the battery, it will last up to 25 hours of talk time and 20 days of standby time - not a bad claim. The device will definitely withstand two days of operation without recharging in active use mode. I'm glad there is fast charging function.

As for the other parameters, the device turned out very well: metal body, protective glass, fingerprint sensor, support for memory cards up to 2 TB, high performance, ergonomic design and normal screen diagonal. The model has no obvious disadvantages.

ZTE Nubia Z11 Max

This Chinese smartphone with a good camera and a powerful battery pleases us with a pleasant price-quality ratio, solid metal body and 2.5D-screen. The device is positioned as a flagship, it costs like a mid-range device, which is why it is interesting to us, as potential buyers. Got the gadget economical and brightAMOLED-screen, which is undoubtedly its strong point. Display is covered Gorilla Glass 3 protective glass, and the strength of the device, among other things, is the sound quality.

Despite the thin and compact body, the smartphone hides a fairly decent battery. Even if we take into account the large screen diagonal and solid hardware, the battery capacity is enough to ensure normal battery life. In fact, a 4000 mAh reserve is enough to surf the Internet for more than 12 hours, listen to music for more than a day, or watch videos for 13 hours. The cameras in the smartphone are quite decent, although the main one lacks optical stabilization, but it received a module from Sony and produces images with excellent detail. With the same set of parameters and the same price, the device has few competitors.

Xiaomi Redmi Pro

Xiaomi has long been criticized for its conservatism in design. The time has come to work on the mistakes, the results of which were impressive. Redmi Pro received polished metal body, streamlined lines, 2.5D-glass– a style icon, in a word. But the polishing played a cruel joke - the device is too slippery, so you can’t do without a case. Ease of use and ergonomics are excellent. Finally, the company decided to place the fingerprint scanner under the screen rather than on the back panel - the sensor is built into the hardware button.

Beautiful OLED-display, good memory reserves, performance - all this strengths gadget, but most of all attract attention two main camera lenses. Among all Xiaomi devices, this smartphone was the first to receive a dual camera. All camera modules from Sony work perfectly – there’s nothing to complain about. In sufficient light conditions, the pictures come out great. Thanks to the second main lens, it is possible to better reproduce colors and create a blurred background. Weakness - night photography, and, perhaps, the firmware: you’ll have to tinker with it to customize everything for yourself. The battery will last about 1.5 days of active use.

Meizu MX6

Meizu smartphones are loved by domestic users for their low cost, decent design (to many it resembles smartphones from Apple), widespread use of metal in the body and ease of operation, but the devices have never particularly stood out for their cameras. They were inserted into phones purely for show – at least that’s the feeling. But now the company has decided to correct this shortcoming: it’s too early to talk about flagship photo quality, but Meizu MX6 is clearly the best among all the manufacturer’s smartphones in terms of shooting quality. Here we used the same module as in the Huawei P9, but the pixel size has grown a little, which allowed the camera to better cope with night photography.

The camera focuses quickly, reproduces colors well, provides excellent sharpness and a wide dynamic range. Despite the fact that the manufacturer still has some work to do, the camera already takes excellent pictures, an order of magnitude better than many much more expensive smartphones. The selfie camera provides good detail, but sometimes distorts colors. The autonomy is average, due to the powerful processor and IPS display, but the device will be enough for a day of active use or 11 hours of video. The appearance is admirable, and everything is in order with compactness.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Pro

If you want to buy a smartphone with a good camera and battery, but don’t have much money, then there are good options for this case. Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is on sale in different modifications, and the simplest one will cost, in principle, inexpensively. The manufacturer clad the smartphone in metal and glass and equipped it with good cameras. The main camera takes pictures more than satisfactorily, only in the evening there may be some problems. The smartphone lasts 1.5-2 days on a single charge; in other respects, it is an excellent modern gadget that has everything you need.

Most often, modern smartphones are equipped with a battery with a capacity of 3000 mAh. This is not enough for some users, since they want to remember about the charger only once every two or even three days. It is for such people that smartphones with powerful batteries are produced, which will be discussed in today’s selection.

It is important!

Many people believe that high battery capacity indicates record battery life. But in the world of Android smartphones, this is not always the case. Operating system optimization, display technology, type of installed processor and many other factors. Therefore, a large battery capacity does not always guarantee excellent autonomy.

There are a lot of devices with incredibly capacious batteries. Our top contains only those that have good characteristics. Also, all of the listed models collect much more positive reviews than negative ones. There is no need to assume that to create the rating, we selected only smartphones with the most capacious batteries - such copies are often too heavy, and their characteristics quickly make you think about replacing the device with some more advanced model.

DOOGEE BL5500 Lite

  • Battery capacity: 5500 mAh
  • Thickness: 10.5 mm
  • Weight: 180 g

Price: from 6,700 rubles.

In an era of serious competition in the world of smartphones, on store shelves you can find devices with an emphasis on one or more components with very budget price. Among all inexpensive phones With a capacious battery, the model from the DOOGEE brand stands out.

The smartphone not only has a capacious battery, but also has an impressive 6.19-inch display with modern HD+ resolution and a newfangled cutout for the camera. The glass is covered with Gorilla Glass, which increases its durability. The body of the device is plastic, but it looks nice. There are black, blue and gold versions to choose from.

In terms of hardware, the device is not very impressive, due to the low price - MediaTek MT6739, 4 cores at 1.3 GHz, memory - 2/16 GB, there is a slot for a memory card with a capacity of no more than 64 GB. The rear camera is dual – 13+8 megapixels, the manufacturer indicates that the module was created by Sony, and this guarantees good quality in its segment. Front – 5 MP. As protection, the device received a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel.

In general, the gadget is designed for everyday work without special loads, as well as for comfortable watching movies.

  • Battery capacity: 10000 mAh
  • Thickness: 14.5 mm
  • Weight: 303 g

Price: from 8,000 rubles.

In 2019, users began to lose the habit that a secure phone is something ugly and big. K7 Power completely proves this. The device turned out to be thick and heavy, which is of course due to the huge battery, but visually it looks interesting. The material for the back cover is durable plastic, textured like leather. The model has a durable metal frame that will protect the device when dropped on a hard surface. The 6-inch FView screen with HD+ resolution is covered with Gorilla Glass. The top edge turned out to be so small that it is almost invisible. The back side looks interesting not only with its leather-like coating, but also with a matte metal insert on which a dual camera, finger scanner and flash are located. Overall, the device looks very nice, but the same cannot be said about the internal components.

It was previously mentioned that the gadget received a huge 10,000 mAh battery and fast charging. Important point– 1 hour gives 40% of the capacity; to get the remaining 60% it will take another 2 hours. This is quite a lot, but autonomy in this case requires sacrifice. The performance of the model is not impressive - MediaTek MT6750 with 8 cores at 1.5 GHz and 2 GB of RAM. All this is very modest for 2019. The device is clearly not suitable for gaming, but is designed for simple everyday tasks.

The main storage is 16 GB, there is a slot for MicroSD, but instead of a second SIM card. The rear camera is dual – 13+2 megapixels, but users note that the additional module is fake, its real resolution is 0.3 megapixels, and its presence in the device is purely nominal. But the main 13 megapixel module is made by Sony, it does not give phenomenal results, but in capable hands the photographs turn out quite good for their level. The front module is 5 megapixels, it is nothing interesting.

Advantages:

  • Protection of the case from impacts.
  • There is fast charging.
  • Not a bad camera.
  • Nice design.
  • Fingerprint protection.
  • OS – Android 8.1.

Flaws:

  • The auxiliary camera module is fake.
  • Old MicroUSB connector.
  • Combined memory and SIM slot.
  • Poor performance.
