Let's start with the firmware. What is firmware? I probably all understand what installation is operating system on a computer, so here’s the firmware, it’s about the same, but for a phone. When we flash our device, we completely erase the old OS and install a new one. This destroys all data, so before flashing be sure to save all the information important to you.
What is the firmware for? As they jokingly say, it fixes old bugs and adds new ones. In fact, manufacturers will improve the OS of their devices over time, and often for the better. The speed of work can increase and new functions can be added, and of course errors are eliminated.
What are the dangers of the firmware? With proper execution of all instructions, nothing other than the actual result you are seeking. If you decide to experiment, for example, flash your phone with firmware not intended for it, you may end up with a brick.
Now about the patches. A patch is not a replacement for the entire OS, but only part of it. For example, it only changes the background of the menu itself and adds some functions, and often the data is not lost when installing patches. But to be sure, it’s better to check or read the description carefully.
Now let's move on to the installation itself. For both firmware and patch installation on Samsung Wave, we will need:
1. Installed program(this is a required item)
2. Multiloader program (Download:

3. Kies should not be launched (this is also a required item). If you have an icon hanging in your tray, you need to close it.
4. The firmware itself or patch
Phone firmware:
