Self-repair of mobile phones. Joystick on mobile phone does not work

This article will be part of a series “how to repair a cell phone yourself at home”. There is such a wonderful phone nokia 6500s (slider) please do not confuse it with the all-in-one 6500c (classic) and it has weakness. This is a memory card. Often comes in for repairs with a malfunction “ does not see the memory card" So if your Nokia 6500s does not see the memory card, don’t be upset, there are many of you) Also, if you set a theme or melody, and over time it becomes standard or glitches when entering the menu, all this is because of the memory card. What is the reason and why does this happen?

The reason is the contact on back cover and in contact near the SIM receiver. You may not have noticed, but this cell phone model does not see the memory card without the back cover closed. The fact is that on the back cover there is a small “protrusion” that should rest against small contact near the SIM card). Sometimes one of these contacts becomes bent and stops connecting normally, as a result of which this malfunction actually appears. Under treatment very simple and fast even at home. Clean it up, bend it in the places marked in the photo and everything will be fine.

In one of the following articles I’ll tell you how to make a camera with two jumpers. By the way, this model has the same (speakers). The same story, there is a mesh and it quickly becomes clogged with dust. It works the same way as in the case of Nokia Arte by cleaning or replacing the mesh. Another example of repairing a mobile phone at home)

Note: I advise you to visit the online store of children’s goods “Maksyusha”, especially if you are looking for a cradle bed for a newborn or children’s car seats. Really good choice.

The phrase “do-it-yourself repair” in the minds of most people is associated either with repairs in an apartment or house, or with simple car maintenance operations. But when it comes to repairing a mobile phone, many people believe that this is a job only for a highly qualified specialist. In general, they are, of course, right - the higher the qualifications of the repairman, the greater the chance of getting back a working device, and not distorted pieces of plastic, metal and fiberglass. However, highly qualified specialists require remuneration for their work that corresponds to their qualifications, and when repairing inexpensive or not new phones, the cost of repair in a workshop may exceed the cost of purchasing a similar phone, but in good condition.

What to do in this case? You can, of course, take a risk and give the phone to a small workshop or private owner, but who will give a guarantee for the work done? Won't they break the phone? Will this cause leakage of personal data from the phone? It is impossible to answer these questions in advance, since among private traders there are very good specialists, and there are real hacks and people of very low qualifications. What to do?

One of the answer options is included in the title of the article. Yes, you can try to fix the phone yourself. Naturally, not every repair is within the capabilities of a user without the skills of a professional repairman, and any operations related to serious repairs should be entrusted to a professional. However, most people who can hold a screwdriver in their hands are quite capable of successfully coping with the simplest mechanical repairs - replacing the case, display, speaker and flexible cable connecting parts of phones in “movable” form factors (clamshell, slider, rotator). After all, these faults account for about half of all hardware repairs. Hardware repair usually refers to repair operations associated with interfering with the technical (hardware) of the phone.

Before continuing my discussion on the topic of repairing on my own, I want to warn you that diagnosing hidden faults and performing serious repairs without the appropriate knowledge can completely damage the phone, making it unrepairable for technical or economic reasons. I emphasize that the article is only about doing simple mechanical repairs on your own, which does not require any special equipment or skills. In this case, the malfunction must be clearly expressed, for example, a worn/broken case or a broken display.

Before carrying out any repair work, it is necessary to calculate its feasibility, for which it is necessary:

  1. Find out the average cost of a repaired phone on the secondary market. In this case, you should ask the price for devices in good condition and fully equipped;

  2. Calculate the total cost of purchasing equipment necessary for self-repair (in in this case a set of screwdrivers and a device for opening the phone), necessary spare parts and the cost of their delivery;

  3. Find out the cost of execution similar works at a reputable workshop/service center.

Carrying out repairs on your own is advisable only if the total cost of repairs on your own is:

  1. Does not exceed 60-80% of purchase costs working phone the same model (in this case, repairs are not advisable at all);

  2. Does not exceed the same 60-80% of the cost of performing these works in a workshop with a good reputation (in this case, it is better to entrust the work to professionals).

I emphasize that repairing expensive phones on your own, without the appropriate skills, is a very risky activity, so it is better to entrust it to professionals.

So, after performing all the calculations, weighing the arguments for and against, it turned out that do-it-yourself repair appropriate. What does that require? Three things: equipment, spare parts and accuracy. If everything is clear with the last point, then where can I get the first two? It’s easier for residents of large cities in this regard - there are probably shops or workshops that sell spare parts for mobile phones to private individuals. But what should those who live in small towns and villages far from big cities do? The answer suggests itself - order online. By the way, residents of megacities can also use the prices of online stores to determine total cost repairs and assessing the degree of high cost of a particular store.

Naturally, as everywhere else where the laws of the market and free competition rule, the price of the same components in different stores may differ, and the spread can be very significant. There are two reasons for this - different trade margins and the quality of spare parts. Although in this context it is not entirely correct to use the word “quality”, it would be more correct to say “originality”. Let me explain a little - spare parts for mobile phones can be divided into several categories based on quality and place of manufacture:

  1. Original – branded spare parts from the mobile phone manufacturer. Complete analogues of those installed at the factory in new phones;

  2. High Copy - a high-quality copy, so close to the original that it is almost impossible to distinguish them;

  3. Class A – high-quality copy – slightly worse than the original;

  4. Class B or without any additional designations at all - a mediocre copy of original spare parts. The quality may be significantly inferior to the original.

  5. Capability – Compatible replacement part. The quality level may be unstable.

When choosing spare parts, it is naturally advisable to focus on original spare parts, this especially applies to cases and displays. Non-original case elements, in addition to lower quality plastic, which is more susceptible to scratches and abrasions, may also have errors in geometric dimensions. Non-original displays very often suffer from fading, and their service life can be very short. By the way, even when giving your phone to a repair shop, it would be a good idea to ask what spare parts they supply, although here you can only hope for their honesty.

By the way, another interesting point is that the original cases have a wider scope of delivery - in addition to the case itself, the package may also include a keyboard, speakers, microphone, antenna, vibration motor, etc. When choosing a display or flexible cable, you should select those positions where it is written - “module assembled”, “assembled”, “with components”, “with connectors”. You should pay attention - in a number of phones, for example, the display is attached to the board by soldering, and, therefore, its self-replacement, without the use of soldering equipment and the skills to work with it is impossible. You can find out how to attach the display to the phone board without disassembling the device in the Service Manual at specific model, which, after some effort, can be found on the Internet.

If you plan to make a purchase online, before you rejoice at the availability of the necessary spare parts and the low price, you should look at the minimum order amount and delivery conditions. The requirement for a minimum order amount can be expressed in different ways, for example, an order cannot be completed if the cost of purchased spare parts is below a certain amount, or for small orders there is an additional markup that can reach 30% of the cost, or an additional fee is charged “for shipment." Typical Size minimum amount order varies between 500 and 1500 rubles. What to do? There are two options here - many online spare parts stores also sell accessories for mobile phones - so you can order one of them, or look among your friends for those who have a phone lying around with simple mechanical faults that you can fix yourself and order spare parts for two or more people.

Typically, online stores offer a choice of two delivery methods - via courier company(SPSR, EMC Garantpost, Gruzovozoff, DHL and others) or through regular mail(registered parcel, first class). At the same time, some online stores work exclusively on prepayment and do not send goods cash on delivery. Postal delivery is usually the cheapest - on some sites it may be included in the price of the product, while proudly indicating in the price list - when ordering from XXX rubles, postal delivery is free. However, when choosing a delivery method, you should consider all possible options.

The payment method can be used – bank transfer, postal transfer, WebMoney, instant payment systems, for example, Contact. The transfer fee may vary depending on the payment method, but the funds will be credited to the seller company’s account as quickly as possible. using WebMoney. As a rule, goods are shipped only after funds have been received in the bank account. In general, the process of purchasing spare parts via the Internet is not particularly difficult - the author of the article was convinced of this at personal experience. At different times, he carried out orders for www.gsmservice.ru, www.slk-service.ru, www.mobparts.ru and www.detalka.ru.

Almost all online spare parts stores have a convenient search system, where you just enter your phone model and click the “Search” button. The entire list of spare parts for this mobile phone, their cost and availability will be displayed on the screen. In the model input field, you should enter its exact alphanumeric designation, for example CX65 () or G5500 ().

Another way to purchase spare parts is to purchase non-working phone the desired model. In this case, compared to purchasing new spare parts, significant savings can be achieved. However, there are at least two pitfalls here - the required element may also be faulty and there are no guarantees. Although, if you only need the body, there are no problems - its condition can be assessed by its appearance.

The procedure for disassembling the phone and performing mechanical repairs is described in detail with illustrations in the Service Manual for a specific model. When disassembling the phone, it is necessary to take into account that it electronic components They are afraid of static electricity, therefore, when performing repair work, you should dress in things made from natural materials. Of course, the ideal option is an antistatic robe, but still, for a one-time repair, purchasing it is not advisable.

The main rule when performing mechanical repairs is “Be careful!!!” You should also not use brute force - the component parts of the phone case are connected to each other by various screws, latches, etc., and some of them can be covered with decorative elements of the case or rubber plugs. Don't skimp on the necessary tool and do not try to unscrew the phone screws using improvised means. Be careful and you can fix your mobile phone yourself!

and as for whether or not to carry it for repairs, I can say I witnessed how one old lady was heated for 500 rubles - everything was very simple at work, I brought it to one workshop (near the Preobrazhenskaya metro station, a broken device, one old lady stood in front - the kettle (spiral) burned out)
Such a kettle cost about 1200 rubles at that time
the master looked into the teapot
your mother is talking about a serious malfunction, it will cost 700 rubles and she laid out this money, and now let’s calculate - 100 rubles for the spiral, and it has not changed to this day, well, the work is 100, and what is the rest for? Changing the heater takes a maximum of half an hour, verified.

If your hands are growing out of place
then it is preferable to repair it yourself, especially since manuals and repair tips can be found on the internet

I personally took my Nokia n73 phone to the service center and they told me I needed it new board. It will cost 4000 rubles, so I refused accordingly. Then a friend advised me to flash it at home. I tried it. Everything worked out. started working like new. Now I help my friends too. All you need is ingenuity and the desire to do it and everything will work out ;-)

Well, if you have extra money (so that you can then take the “repaired” phone yourself to a normal workshop), then you can do the repairs at home, there’s no profit, but there’s more than enough experience and pleasure.

Posted by: Marindima
I advise you not to try to repair your phone yourself, even mechanical problems. Contact an Authorized Service Center. Very often you have to remove phones from warranty (if the device is under warranty) after independent or unqualified repairs. And the details in the ASC are 100% original!

Personally, I do everything I can on my own, because... I had a sad experience with service centers. True, repairs sometimes take a lot of time (because it’s the first time), but if you break it yourself, it won’t be so offensive!

I don’t agree with you, Vladimir! :))) where can you find enough craftsmen for everyone? especially in small towns. Here is the main problem - there are no MASTERS of them, but there are enough figures who pretend to be masters. I encountered it myself - I studied in the automotive specialty at a university, so I know a little about car maintenance... and somehow in the winter (well, I didn’t want to rattle the keys in the cold - I took the car to a workshop, a well-known one, the office is a dealer of one of our car factories. Yes, and the operation had to be done in a simple way, but my principle is always to monitor the progress of the work. In short, after 20 minutes of observing their actions, an irresistible desire arose to flash a MOUNDER IN THE FOREHEAD. So they also stuttered about paying for the “diagnostics” - nothing after 20 minutes conversation with the director regarding the professional suitability of his employees - I was apologized to and a certain amount was paid "for the inconvenience caused".... and you say craftsmen... they don’t say who is a master and who is a craftsman. Therefore - if you can do it yourself - do it! If your arms grow from your shoulders and the technique is close to you :)

Hello dear readers! I want to tell you that I myself learned how to make phones at home, but it’s true that you need accuracy and, most importantly, patience and experience in repairing a phone. I first studied at simple phones and then I took on more expensive ones and I got some results. It’s just that I can’t do anything about software failures; it’s better to contact a workshop high class. With respect to you Andrey.

Personally, I think that repairing a mobile phone at home should not be done, since it can only make the phone worse, and no one will return the money. It is better to contact the service center directly.

Water got into the cell phone or the phone itself fell into the water.

The first thing to do is disconnect the battery from the phone. Then try to somehow dry the device with a hairdryer, put it on the radiator overnight, place it in a warm place for a couple of days, etc. Perhaps after this the phone will work without problems. Although, as practice shows, the lion's share of phones coming in for repair have previously been exposed to water (this is indicated by rusty spots inside, oxidation, deposits, etc.), and who knows for what reason the phone actually failed this time. In any case, it can be argued that the water that once got there played a significant “role”
In all cases of moisture getting under the phone case, it is necessary to dry and clean the device. Otherwise, the phone may become partially or completely inoperable. Let me emphasize that it is possible, but not mandatory. But the oxidation (rusting) process can take quite a long time, and it is impossible to say how the phone will behave the next day or in a month. The more time has passed since moisture entered, the less likely it is that the phone will be restored to full functionality in the event of a breakdown.

The cell phone does not connect to the network.

The first thing you need to pay attention to is whether the phone shows at least some level of reception on the display. If it shows, then perhaps the network you have chosen does not support your operator. To do this, go to the “SETTINGS” menu and select the “AUTOMATIC” network search mode. If this doesn’t work, try selecting your network manually in the same menu.
The following reason may lie in your SIM card:
It has expired

SIM card is faulty

If all of the above does not help, then the problems lie in the phone itself. There are many of them: from software failure to failure of the phone’s electronic components.

SMS cannot be sent from a mobile phone.

The most common reason This means that the number of the Short Message Center (SMS center) is indicated incorrectly, or it is missing altogether. They are actually sent to this number short messages(SMS), and the operator cellular communications further redirects your short messages (SMS) to the recipient’s number. Each mobile operator has its own SMS center number. Find out this number from your cellular operator.
The Short Message Center (SMS Center) number is entered in the cell phone's SETTINGS submenu, in the MESSAGES menu.
Also, short messages (SMS) can be blocked by a cellular operator due to non-payment or another reason.

Does not show cell phone display.

One of the reasons may be a defect in the display itself. It needs to be replaced.
If we are talking about a “clamshell” or “slider” type phone, then in this case the cable may also be the cause. This is a flexible part with conductors that connects one part of the phone to another. One or more of these conductors may have become damaged. The cable needs to be replaced.
We may also be talking about a defect that occurred after moisture got inside the phone. In this case, a thorough diagnosis and cleaning, and possibly more serious repairs, are required.

Stripes on a cell phone screen.

If the display itself is damaged, this is the worst thing, although this may not be visible visually. The display needs to be replaced.
If the phone is a “clamshell” or “slider” type, this may be due to damage to the cable - the transition part from one half of the phone to the other.
This can also happen if moisture gets inside the phone.
In all cases of moisture getting under the phone case, it is necessary to dry and clean the device. Otherwise....(described above).

The mobile phone keyboard does not work or does not work completely.

Most often this occurs from moisture. At best, it needs to be cleaned from oxidation, unless, of course, it only occurred under the keyboard.
In all cases of moisture getting under the phone case, it is necessary to dry and clean the device. Otherwise...(described above).
This can also happen after a fall or blow. In this case, a complete soldering of the phone is required.
The keyboard is entirely responsible for the phone's processor element. So the keyboard may not work due to its failure.

The ringer on your mobile phone wheezes or doesn’t work at all.

The phone is in “silent mode”: in this case, the call is disabled
turn off “quiet mode” (on many devices you need to press and hold the “#” button)

Alert mode selected: “vibration alert only” or “no sound”
In the “Sound Settings” menu, enable sound notification

Moisture got into the phone
In all cases of moisture getting under the phone case, it is necessary to dry and clean the device. Otherwise...(described above).

The bell has failed.
In clamshell or slider phones, this may be due to a damaged cable. This is a flexible part with conductors that connects one part of the phone to another. One or more of these conductors on the loop have become damaged. The cable needs to be replaced.

The speaker does not work: they can hear you, but you cannot.

This may seem funny, but there are very common cases when they bring a phone to a service center with the volume turned down to a minimum and complain that they can’t hear anything. In this case, it is enough to turn up the volume during a conversation.
If we're talking about about a “flip phone” or “slider” type phone, then the fault may lie in the cable. This is a flexible part with conductors that connects one part of the phone to another. One or more conductors on the loop responsible for sound are damaged. The cable needs to be replaced.
This is also possible because mechanical damage.
The rest of the reasons lie inside the phone.

The microphone in your mobile phone does not work: you can hear, but you cannot No.

Usually the problem lies in the microphone. If during the diagnostic process it turns out that the microphone has “fly”, it needs to be replaced
If we are talking about a phone with an active flip (folding part with a microphone), then the reason may be the microphone cable - the transition part between the flip and the phone
Moisture that once got into the phone can lead to such consequences.
In all cases of moisture getting under the phone case, it is necessary to dry and clean the device. Otherwise...(described above).
Several elements are responsible for the operation of the audio channel in the phone. Find out which one is faulty.
This could also be caused by a software failure.

The cell phone is not charging.

The reason may lie in the phone charger. A simple example to find out is to find it from someone you know Charger from the same model. But I repeat: exactly “the same”!!! If you insert a charger from another brand into your phone, provided that the connector fits, the phone itself may be damaged. For example, many phones Samsung and LG have the same charging socket. But their chargers are different due to the fact that power is supplied to different contacts charging connector. And, if you connect the LG charger to Samsung phone, the phone's processor will most likely fail. Replacing it is an expensive process. And it happens that it is completely impossible to repair the phone after this.
The next reason may be the phone's charging connector. For example: it happens that you start moving the charger connector in the phone’s charging socket, and the indication begins to show that the phone is charging. In this case, the phone charging connector needs to be replaced.
If the charging indicator shows that the phone is charging, but in reality after charging the phone either does not turn on, or the charge is enough for half a call. There can be many reasons: from software failure to failure of the phone’s electronic components.

The mobile reboots (restarts).

There are several things we can talk about here, such as a software failure.
It happens that the reboot is caused by a faulty phone power amplifier. When turned on, it begins to consume ***** too much current, the phone turns off and turns on again. But it seems to us that the device is rebooting.
Another reason may be mechanical damage. printed circuit board phone or its elements. This usually happens after a fall or blow. Sometimes you can check this by bending the phone with your hands (quite strongly): if the phone turns off after that or freezes, then this is the reason.
Another reason could be the phone battery.

The cell phone runs out of battery quickly.

This most often happens due to bad battery. You can check it at home experimentally - ask to swap the battery for one day with a friend who has the same phone.
This can happen due to the charger - the phone is not charging enough. As a rule, this happens when using a “non-native” charger, in other words, a “Chinese” one.
If your phone dies when you make a call and you just charged it, the problem may be with the phone's power amplifier (transmitter). This often happens due to the phone falling.
If we are talking about smartphones, they can quickly become discharged due to a virus like “Carib”. This virus does one simple thing - it constantly turns on Bluetooth, which drains the battery. The virus is transmitted “airborne,” that is, via Bluetooth. The easiest way to protect yourself is to set the Bluetooth access settings to “NOT FOR EVERYONE”. And it will not damage the installed antivirus, since it is impossible to remove the virus without loss. Removal will result in complete cleaning phone memory.
There are many possibilities why this could happen.

The cell phone does not see the SIM card or writes a SIM card error message.

One of the reasons may be your SIM card:
It has expired
The account has run out of funds
SIM card is faulty

The easiest way to check this is to insert another card into your phone. For the purity of the experiment, it is better to use a card of the same operator as yours.
Perhaps the phone is “locked” (encoded) for a specific operator, and you are trying to insert a “foreign” (different operator) card. In this case, use the SIM card of the operator to which the phone is locked.
It happens that the contacts of the SIM card or the contacts of the SIM receiver on the phone are dirty or oxidized. Try using a regular eraser to wipe all their contacts.
It often happens that the contacts of the SIM card do not reach the contacts of the SIM receiver. Try to fix this by placing a piece of paper folded 3-4 times between the SIM card and the battery. This is possible if the device is designed in such a way that there is a SIM card under the battery, and it is not in a special card reader. As an example, we can cite the Siemens SL45, A50, A52, A60 models.
Nokia N71 is an interesting case: oddly enough, the phone may not see the SIM card due to bad contact battery with phone. Try using an eraser to clean the central contact on the battery and the corresponding contact on the phone. Possibly with others too Nokia models it might be the same. Inexplicable but the fact!
Nokia 8800 does not see the SIM card repeatedly: we have encountered this case many times. And also a strange case - try to replace the battery. Due to a bad battery, it may not see the SIM card.

The joystick on the mobile phone does not work.

If the joystick is bad, but works, then the problem is most likely in the joystick itself. It is best to replace it and not bother with repairing it. As practice shows, repaired joysticks do not last long.
If the joystick does not work at all, the joystick may again be to blame. But there are cases, as with broken buttons: The reason lies inside the phone. The keyboard and joystick are entirely responsible for the phone's processor element. So both the keyboard and the joystick may not work due to their failure.

The cell phone asks you to enter a “phone code.”

Usually, it is enough to enter this code, and access to the phone will be open. But this doesn't always happen. If, after entering the correct code, I repeat - the correct one, access does not open, it means that there has been a failure in software. Phone software needs to be changed.
You have no idea about this code, that is, you personally did not enter it there; in this case, referring to the phone instructions can help. There you can find standard code phone, which was entered at the factory, and enter it into the phone.

The cell phone does not connect to the computer.

The first reason may be the computer, a program, or settings in the computer itself.
If the phone is connected to the computer using a cable, then the fault may be either the cable itself or the connector in the phone. Try cleaning the connector contacts on your phone.
If all of the above is in order, then start checking the connection settings on your phone.

Cell phone turned off and won't turn on

First, try charging your phone by leaving it on charge for a day.
Perhaps the reason is moisture that once entered. Diagnosis required.
In all cases of moisture getting under the phone case, it is necessary to dry and clean the device. Otherwise...(described above).
Often the culprit is a software glitch.
One of the microcircuits could have failed, which for obvious reasons led to inoperability up to and including “non-starting”.
It is possible that the battery has failed.

The cell phone turns on "every time".

Usually the culprit is the power button (especially in Nokia and Sony - Ericsson phones). It needs to be replaced.
The second reason is that water once got into the phone.
In all cases of moisture getting under the phone case, it is necessary to dry and clean the device. Otherwise...(described above).
Mechanical damage may also be to blame.

The cell phone turns itself off - self-shutdown.

Often the cause of this is a bad battery or poor connections between the contacts of the battery and the phone.
The second, most common reason is mechanical damage to the phone's printed circuit board or its elements. This usually happens after a fall or blow. Sometimes you can check this by bending the phone with your hands (quite strongly): if the phone turns off after that or freezes, then this is the reason.
It also happens that self-shutdown occurs due to a software failure. This happens less often, but it also happens.

Vibrate alert on cell phone does not work.

Moisture that once got in may be to blame.
In all cases of moisture getting under the phone case, it is necessary to dry and clean the device. Otherwise...(described above).
The vibration motor itself may have failed and needs to be replaced.
If we are talking about a flip phone, then often the vibration motor is located next to the display at the top of the phone. In this case, the reason for the vibration alert to not work may also be the cable. This is a flexible part with conductors that connects one part of the phone to another. Consequently, one or more of these vibration conductors have become damaged. The cable needs to be replaced.

The phone only works with one operator.

Such phones are called “operator-locked”. The data of the specific operator for which it is “locked” is embedded into their program code, and when you try to insert a “foreign” SIM card, the device “swears”. There are only two options here: either use a SIM card from this particular operator, or unlock it.

The cell phone freezes.

A common cause is mechanical damage to the phone's circuit board or its components. This usually happens after a fall or blow. Sometimes you can check this by bending the phone with your hands (quite strongly): if the phone turns off or freezes, then this is the reason.
The cause may also be a software failure. For example, in modern Nokia phones it looks like this: after turning it on, the word NOKIA appears on the screen and the phone “freezes,” that is, it does not react to anything and shows no signs of life. You have to disconnect the battery for the image to disappear.

Quick phone power test.

Let's take it Number pad power supply. We set it to 4 volts and connect it instead of the battery.
If the current consumption is higher than 300 Ma, then there is a breakdown in the power supply, look at the power supply.
If the protection is triggered, it means the transmitter has failed, we replace the transmitter.
If it doesn't consume anything, then everything is fine.
If, when you press PWR, the consumption is more than 100Ma, then one of the stabilizers (five-legged) has failed.
If the current is not more than 30mA, then the Software does not work.

A Nokia cell phone fell into water or what to do if water gets into the phone

Recessed Nokia phone. What to do if you drowned or simply got wet.

Water can't hurt phone . You tell me, what am I doing on your site in this section then? Mine is broken. Because it’s not water that makes you stand up, but water in combination with a battery. As a result, electrochemical corrosion of the board occurs. In other words, the board of your gadget and all its elements begin to rust, rot, i.e. disintegrate, turns into dust.

Why don't Nokia cell phone manufacturers protect them from corrosion?

Well, why did you decide that? They protect and how. They cover the fee protective layer varnish that is designed to protect your device.
Why then do they fail if the board is covered with a protective layer of varnish? Yes, because this varnish should not save you from swimming in the pool. The only thing that can save you from this is a diving suit. Its task is to create a protective barrier and prevent the formation of corrosion on the board if there is suddenly strong humidity. For example, a bathroom or bathhouse. And again, this barrier does not last long, which means that you should not test its strength while sitting in the steam room with friends.

The first thing to do if water gets into your phone- this is to disconnect the battery. Then immediately take it to the service center. If this is not possible, then you need to try to somehow dry the device with a hairdryer, put it on the radiator overnight, place it in a warm place for a couple of days, etc. Perhaps after this your pet will work without problems. Although, as practice shows, the lion's share of phones coming in for repair have previously been exposed to water (this is indicated by rusty spots inside, oxidation, deposits, etc.) and who knows for what real reason your gadget failed this time. In any case, it can be argued that the water that once got there played no small role
In all cases of moisture getting under the housing, the device needs to be dried and cleaned. Otherwise, partial or complete inoperability of the device may occur. Let me emphasize that it is possible, but not mandatory. But the oxidation process can take quite a long time, and it is impossible to say how the mobile phone will behave the next day or in a month. The more time has passed since moisture entered, the less likely it is to restore full functionality in the event of a breakdown.
If, after getting wet, you quickly disconnect the battery and bring it to us, then most likely you will save your pet and save your budget for repairs.

What do we do when your phone is frozen?

Disassembling the phone;
- cleaning in an ultrasonic bath;
- removal of traces of moisture;
- cleaning the mobile phone board from corrosion;
- complete drying of the device;
- phone testing.

Nokia does not detect SIM card.

Hello!
Yesterday I fully charged my phone. Today, during the first conversation, the phone turned off spontaneously. Turning it on turned out to be possible only with the power button. At the same time, the charge indicator showed almost complete discharge(narrow red stripe). However, after the phone was in my pocket for half an hour, the indicator began to show 70% charge. This has happened twice already.
What is the reason? How to fix it? Thanks in advance for your answer.

Good afternoon
