The player, making his way through the barriers of the ancient world, must find a way to re-imprison the titans. Where can I download the Russifier?

I can't finish Greece because... The ship's captain just won't talk to me. What should I do?

Some quests in the game can actually go bad. The most problematic characters are the captain at the docks and Imhotep. At the moment, the developers themselves can only offer one solution. You need to find the folder where the quests are located: My DocumentsMy GamesTitan QuestSaveDataMain_Your_nameLevels_World_World01.mapYour difficulty level (eg Normal). In it you will find many files with the que extension. These are quests. You need to sort the files by date and delete the most recent ones. This can be one or several files (usually 7-9 files). DON'T FORGET TO MAKE BACKUPS! After this, you need to take this quest again and go through all its stages, which in any case is faster than leveling up your character to level 18 again.

Patch 1.20 does not want to be installed, what should I do?

There are several reasons why patch 1.20 does not want to be installed:

1) The installation of patch 1.20 should be started from the game folder (after copying it there).
2) To install patch 1.20, you need to have at least 1 gigabyte on disk “C”. free space.
3) The folder where the game is installed should not contain Russian letters (i.e., for example, if the path is C: Titan Quest Games, then the patch will not be installed).
Solution to this problem:
For those who have the TQ game installed in a folder whose name contains Russian letters (without reinstalling the game).
For example, the game is installed in "C:GamesTitan Quest".
1. Rename the “Games” folder, for example to “Games” (we get the path C:GamesTitan Quest).
2. Open the registry editor (Start, Run, enter - regedit and click - "OK") and go through the branch - HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREIron LoreTitan Quest
3. In the Install Location parameter, change the value of part of the displayed path (in our case, “Games” to “Games”; as a result, the path C:GamesTitan Quest is registered in the registry).
4. Copy the patch to be installed (1.15 or 1.20) to the folder with the installed game and start installing the patch.
5. After installing the patch, we make reverse changes in the registry.
6. Rename the “Games” folder to “Games” (we get the path C: Titan Quest Games).
7. Now you can launch the patched Titan Quest game.

Where can I get and how to install NoCd for versions 1.08, 1.11, 1.15 and 1.20?

For version 1.08 download from the page or

For versions 1.11 and 1.15 there are two options:

1) Use the method suggested by fellow Adeptus:
I found how to run it with version 1.11... For this we need a good pirated version, the original .exe (my version 1.01 weighed 4.10 mb, and the patched one weighed 4.42 mb), a normal registry (in the sense that everything was registered there.. version etc.) DEAMON TOOLS 4.03, game image and most importantly TITAN QUEST LOADER from our beloved CureROM you can download it
Unpack TQLoader_100.rar somewhere (but not into the game folder) and create a SHORTECT! (by hand, for those who don’t know... right-click anywhere and click create -> shortcut.) in the “Specify the location of the Object” field, find and select TQLoader.exe, click next and then you’re done! Now open the “Properties” of this shortcut (right click on it and select “properties”) in the “object” field enter “D:/TQLoader_100/TQLoader.exe” -a “D:/Games/TitanQuest/Titan Quest.exe” - c 1 (SPECIFY YOUR PATHS, BUT DO NOT CHANGE THE KEYS!!! i.e. “-a and –с” – do not change). 1) Enter everything as it is with quotes! but as I said, insert your paths to the specified EXE files) in the “Working folder” field we enter the game directory! in my case it's "D:/Games/TitanQuest" . Click ok! Insert the game image into DEAMON TOOLS. Let's launch our Shortcut.
P.S. Only, it may be that with TITAN QUEST LOADER on the second launch the game... may stop on a black screen... then the second option is for you.

2) Download AlkiSecurom - . Unpack it into any folder, run AlkiSecuROM.exe and select Titan Quest.exe... naturally the image should be in DEAMON TOOLS.
Disk images can be taken

or from the page These are different images and if one doesn’t work, then try another.

Personally, everything works fine for me through Asr or AlkiSecurom (in principle, it doesn’t matter) with the image or (the same image - 99.9% - that the image is working).
Only Asr or AlkiSecurom must be located not in the game folder, but somewhere else.

For version 1.20, download from the page or.
Replace Titan Quest.exe in the game folder with the file from the archive.

Where can I get a branch (a specific entry) of the registry if the patch does not want to be installed?

Download or.
These are slightly different branches, if suddenly one does not work, then download the other.
Next, right-click on the downloaded Titan Quest.reg file, select “Change” and write your path to the game in the “Install Location” directory instead of E:GamesTitan Quest, close and answer the question about saving changes - yes.
Next, double-click on the Titan Quest.reg file and when asked about entering information into the registry, answer yes.

Does the game still crash with errors, even after installing patches?

For this we “thank” the pirates who cut the sound.
Go to the Audio folder (located in the game folder) and look at the size of the Dialog.arc and Sounds.arc files.
The size of the Dialog.arc file should be 186 MB, and the Sounds.arc file should be 272 MB.
If it’s much less, then the patches may not help with crashes.
If it crashes in a certain place, and not constantly, you can try to delete these two files (just save them somewhere first), and after passing this section, put these files back into the folder.

How to completely disable shadows?

1. Option. For me (and maybe for everyone), shadows disappear if I set the quality of the shadows to minimum in the game, and the level of detail to medium quality (game version 1.08).
Option 2. Install patch 1.15.
To disable shadows, go to the My DocumentsMy GamesTitan QuestSettings folder and open the options.txt file. Find the line containing "Shadows" and change true to false there. If there is no such line, then add shadows=false yourself

How to get music from the game?

TQ Vault or Arc Explorer.

How to install additional cards?

Maps need to be copied to the folder – custommaps, which is located in – “My Documents/My Games/Titan Quest”.
If there is no custommaps folder, then you need to create it yourself.
Let's say you have an additional map with a name, for example - “MegaSuperBigMaps” :-) (not important). So usually in the folder with the map (in my example, the folder called “MegaSuperBigMaps”) there are two more folders. You need to copy into the custommaps folder exactly the folder called “MegaSuperBigMaps” (in our case), and not some other folders and files located in it. Next, go into the game and select a map (usually the same as the name of the folder, i.e. in our case, “MegaSuperBigMaps”).

Questions about the TQVault program (offline “chest”)

The hero does not load (when the game starts, he simply does not appear) - what should I do?

Run the TQVaultMon file (comes with TQVault) and click Start Titan Quest.
After each change to the game save (i.e., after each time dragging “things” using TQVault), you need to run the game once through TQVaultMon, otherwise the game will consider the save files corrupted.

How can I launch a game patched to version 1.11 or 1.15 via TQVaultMon?

Because These versions of the game are usually launched through the image and program Asr or AlkiSecurom (i.e. not directly through .exe), then you will have to do some actions (I came up with this method myself, so if you know a more convenient one, write).

1) Create a new folder in the root folder with the game (in my case E:GamesTitan Quest) and name it, for example Asr.
2) Copy into this folder the program through which you launch the game, i.e. Asr or AlkiSecurom.
3) Create a text file in the root folder with the game (right-click on an empty space, select the item - create, then select the item - text document).
4) Open the newly created text file using Notepad and write the following: Asrasr.exe or AlkiSecuROM.exe (depending on what program you are running the game through). Select “File” – “Save As...” from the menu. In the window that appears, in the line – “File name:” – delete completely (i.e. both the name and the extension - .txt) the proposed name by the system and write - TQStart.bat, then click “save”. We close the text file (you can delete it - it is no longer needed) and see that the TQStart.bat file has appeared in the folder.
5) Launch TQVaultMon and click Start Titan Quest.
A familiar Asr or AlkiSecurom window will open, asking you to point to the .exe of the game, i.e. TitanQuest.exe. Select this file and the game starts.

Asr – can be downloaded, the link to AlkiSecurom was above.
For convenience (so that you don’t have to “push” the image into Deamon Tools every time), you can download the file. Then we copy it to the root folder of the game, and copy the game image there. Right-click on the TQStart.bat file and select “Edit”. Enter before the existing line - MountDT4.exe mcz-tqmi.mds (the name of the file with the .mds extension may be different, depending on what your game image is called). In my case, the lines in the TQStart.bat file looked like this:

MountDT4.exe mcz-tqmi.mds
Asrasr.exe

Click on the cross at the top (i.e. close) and on the offer - “Save changes” - answer “yes”.

1.2 Then, we need to finally create our character!
We go into the game alone, click the “Create a character” button and in the name field enter the nickname of your character, which will be displayed for you and other users throughout the game. Also in this field you can select the gender of your character and the color of his tunic. If you have already made your character in the original TQ, then click the import button and wait literally 2-3 minutes, and voila - our character is already ready for battle!

The material contained in these topics is the answer to many questions and the solution to many problems. Don’t forget to give pluses to the author of these topics, who is DEDOK...
1.4 Next, you need to decide on the platform whose services you will use during your game.
Platforms known to me:
1.Spygames. It is Titan's native platform.
2.GameRanger. A free gaming platform, with its own goodies for users who bothered to fork out for Gold and Premium accounts. Good, stable platform. Personally, my choice is on GR.
3.Hamachi. Free gaming platform to play local network .
I’ll put together a short tutorial on how to use programs for playing TQIT:
SpyGames
Everything is simple here, but as you know, everything simple is brilliant!
If you want to become a host, click "Create a game." In the "Game Name" field, enter the name of your game, which will be visible to other users.
Next, if you want to make a private game, enter a numerical or alphabetic value in the password field. (Just don't get too carried away!)
When the auto-squad function is activated, all players who join your server will be automatically enrolled in your squad. Otherwise, you'll have to do it yourself.
The level field is responsible for the range of character levels that can log into your server, starting from 1 to x, where x is a numeric value.
Click start and enjoy the game!
Screenshot:

If you want to join the created game, you are required to do the following:
1.Select the “join” function and click start.
2. Click "Create a list of servers".
3.In the filter field, enter the name of the server, or simply search the list and find a suitable one.
4.Select a server, click join and enjoy the game!
Screenshot:

GameRanger .
A good gaming platform with excellent ping, with its hosts in Omsk and Novosibirsk. (The closest ones are for Kazakhstan, perhaps there are several more in Russia) You can download the program for free from the website gameranger.com. The program is used by players from all over the world, most often Europeans, less often Arab and Russian-speaking players.
First of all, we need to create an account, which, however, is created during the installation process, so this issue should not arise.
Next, after installation and Log-in, which is also performed automatically after installation, we navigate the path to the game in the options.
And then everything is the old fashioned way, the Host button for creating games, the Join button for entering the game. If you and your playing partners have all the same parameters, which are indicated in step 1.1, the game will run without problems for you.

Hamachi
So, the very first thing to do is download the program itself.
Downloaded, installed, launched. Amazing.
In the settings, in the presence submenu, check the boxes for the “Online presence” function.
Then, we create a network, invite friends and enjoy the game.
Important ! Don't forget to turn off proxies and other IP address encoders and generators!
1.5 And finally, I recommend that you complicate the gameplay by using a mod, some of which our talented users made for fans of “hot things”.
Available mods:
XMAX is a simple monster multiplier (hereinafter referred to as mobs), more suitable for quickly leveling up than for complicating the game process.
Achilles - Slightly increases the number of mobs and boss characteristics.
m4ssboss3s - An ideal mod for quickly leveling up, the number of mobs and bosses will give your video cards a boost!
Chuck Norris is a mod that is far superior in complexity to the first two. Recommended for use only experienced players!
Uber - This mod is designed for veterans of the game who are bored with the easy gameplay.
Now that we're done with the preparation, let's move on to the gameplay!

To view/change your key you need to perform a simple operation:
1. "START" there we look for "Run..."
2. In the "Run the program" window, enter regedit
3. "Registry Editor" appears
4. Go through the folders: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >>> SOFTWARE >>> Iron Lore
5. There are two folders: Titan Quest and Titan Quest Immortal Throne
6. Click on one of these folders and several registry files will appear in the right corner
7. Double click on the "CD Key" file
8. In front of you is your key to TK\TKIT

Everything is in the power of the gods, the sages are the friends of the gods; but friends have everything in common; therefore, everything in the world belongs to the wise.

Not a single thing arises without a cause, but everything arises for some reason and due to necessity.

Democritus

The secret has long been known that will allow the game to linger for a long time in the minds of players and on the hard drives of their computers. And it is very simple - the presence of an editor whose accessibility will captivate everyone who is interested, and whose global capabilities will allow you to create your own projects and additions that are not inferior to the original game. Titan Quest is doing well with this - there is a global editor for levels, monsters and NPCs, which allows you to implement almost any plot based on it, no matter whether it is historical or fantastic. However, we forgot about the multiplayer mode - the second reason for the long-term love for the game. In this game it is brilliantly simple - joint passages and duels. Both open up new facets of the game, showing it in all its glory.

But all this is the “mind” of the game, and, as you know, they are met “by their clothes.” So let's start ad ovo, with the egg.

Thespians and comedians

Hundred-headed monster - Typhon,

Born of the earth. For all the gods

He rose up: a thorn and a whistle from his jaws

He threatened the throne of Zeus, and from his eyes

The fire of the frantic Gorgon sparkled...

Aeschylus "Chained Prometheus"

The backstory of the game world is quite short, which is surprising for a game based on the myths of Greece, Egypt, Mesopotamia and China. Let's start, perhaps:

As you all know very well, 12 titans of both sexes were born from Earth-Gaia and Sky-Uranus. The youngest and most cunning of them - Cronus - rebelled against his father, overthrew him and began to rule. And so that no one would encroach on his throne, he ate his children. However, one of them - Zeus - managed to escape. He subsequently returned, freed his brothers and sisters, who became Olympian gods, and led a rebellion against his Titan parents. In the war he was helped by the Cyclops and the hundred-armed giants Hecatoncheires, who later became the guardians of the titans in the eternal darkness of Tartarus. Then the angry Earth gave birth to the monster Typhon with a hundred dragon heads. From him came many terrible creatures, but Zeus defeated him too, pushing Mount Etna down, causing it to become a volcano.

For a long time, the Olympians lived quietly, reaping the benefits of human love and respect. Their peace was disturbed only once, when the titan Prometheus escaped from an underground prison and, having stolen fire from Olympus, gave it to people. ( This is where the plot actually begins)

Apparently, a bad example is contagious, and centuries later other titans decided to escape. History is silent about how they managed to bypass the Hecatoncheires, but the fact remains - the titans broke free, and a bacchanalia began, without Bacchus and on a cosmic scale: mischievous satyrs and centaurs turned into real animals, the living dead, lizards, rat-men, jellyfish crawled out from everywhere -gorgons...

But the worst thing is that someone thought of digging up Typhon, and he again began to smoke all over the world. The Olympian gods could not cope with the new scourge on their own, and they needed heroes. We will become one of them.

On the way to Olympus, Greece, Egypt, Babylon, and even far, far away China await us. We will cover this entire distance on foot, destroying thousands of the titans' minions along the way, and finally return to Olympus, talk with Zeus and we'll kill Typhon. And it doesn’t matter that even Zeus failed to accomplish this - our business is forced.

But don’t be foolish, the road will be extremely exciting - and don’t look at how linear it is.

Heroes of the Ancient World

I see, child, as they say, that your breed is noble!..

So, we have a plot. For a good play, we now need to find an actor for the main role. Let’s click “New Game” and begin to choose: name, gender, dress color? It doesn't matter at all, it has purely aesthetic value. Let's scroll further!

Here in front of us is Helos, a Greek village, and here we can, by pressing a key C , see your alter ego and the accompanying equipment, a “doll” and a passport. What do they mean?

Becoming more experienced

With every enemy defeated and every quest completed, your experience level increases. The green stripe below shows how much time the savior of the whole world has left until the next level of his career.

This is the advice: summoned creatures do not receive experience, but transfer it entirely to their master. So don’t be shy and call your partner as soon as possible. Almost any discipline allows you to do this, and this friend will come in handy more than once or twice. Either cover yourself like a shield, or break away from the chase...

When a hero gains a level, nothing increases automatically. He receives 2 Attribute points and 3 Skill points. Attribute points can be invested in any amount into strength, intelligence or agility, which will increase the corresponding attribute by 4 points for each invested AP. If you invest them in health or mana, then their supply will increase by 16 points in the same way.

By spending 1 SP, you can upgrade any available skill by one unit.

But before you develop your skills, you need to figure out what’s what. So...

Disciplines

The beautiful is comprehended through study and great effort, the bad is assimilated by itself, without difficulty.

Democritus

Having reached the long-awaited level 2, we get the opportunity to choose our first discipline. You should approach the choice carefully, because the follower of each skill has a radically different principle of play. From this moment on, we receive one of the basic 8 classes (according to the number of disciplines), and at the 8th level of experience we will have the opportunity to study the second and final discipline, after which our alter ego will establish itself in one of the advanced 28 classes, resulting from a combination of 2 disciplines.

Within each discipline, you can learn various skills/auras/spells or improve your main skill ( Base Skill). You can increase it up to 32, and each level will increase class attributes, as well as open access to other skills/auras/spells. They can also be studied repeatedly, but in this case only the effect of this particular branch of skills increases (usually there are 2-3 of them), without affecting the rest.

For example, by choosing the Nature Magic discipline and raising the main Nature skill from 0 to 1, we will gain attributes: +2 intelligence, +1 agility, +21 health and +10 mana, as well as access to the following skills: Regrowth (1) And Call of the Wild (1). Here and below, in parentheses next to the name of the skill, the number of points that you need to have in the main skill is indicated if you want to teach.

Equipment

Fundamentally, weapons and armor in Titan Quest are no different from their counterparts in Diablo 2.

They still have a prefix before the name, for example Iron Ax, which indicates that the ax is made of iron material and has the appropriate level of quality. There are 145 prefixes in the game. This number also includes unique and quest items.

In addition, all magical weapons also have a suffix in their name, by which one can determine the spell cast on it. For example, the name Short sword of Agility tells us that the lucky owner of this sword has increased agility. There are only 121 suffixes in the game. What a blessing that you don’t need to identify anything in Titan Quest.

There are 4 slots for weapons, a main one and an additional one for the right hand and the same number for the left. Moreover, on your left hand, without special skills, you cannot take anything except a shield. You can put on a little: a helmet, armor, bracers, leggings, a couple of rings and a necklace. Yes, in ancient times people always wore sandals and bare thighs, so we will not wear boots and trousers that have not yet been invented.

In addition to weapons, shields, armor and bottles, the game contains Relic Shards - fragments of magical symbols that can be used to enchant weapons. But you can wait and accumulate five identical ones, and then they can be combined into one full-fledged artifact. Each type of Relic, and there are 75 types in total, allows you to enchant a certain type of equipment - armor, shield, or weapon, adding a new property to them. This could be a banal reduction in armor requirements, an increase in armor, acceleration of regeneration and addition of poison damage.

Altars and wells

In addition, on the way to Olympus, the Wells of Rebirth and Enchanted Altars will be an indispensable help to you.

Once you touch the Well, you will bind your immortal spirit to it, and in the event of your tragic death, the blessed waters will revive you next to it again. Wells are generously scattered everywhere, you will find them in every second location, and therefore the path will be pleasant. If you leave the game, you will also wake up next to the Well, and not in the nearest city.

Enchanted Altars have a completely recognizable shape and a glowing aura around them. If you touch the Altar, it will bless you once, after which the savior of Hellas will have a positive company for a short time. This could be additional protection, increased regeneration, and an increase in all skills... But the absolute top of the pyramid in terms of attractiveness will be held by the Altar, which doubles the experience gain!

Altars also serve as a kind of “litmus test” - by their presence you can determine that there is a difficult or dangerous area not far ahead.

In the name of Zeus!

Love is the desire for intimacy caused by the appearance of beauty.

Zeno of Citium

What we have in the end is an excellent game in the Diablo genre, like a beautiful antique statue, carved in imitation of a person. Yes, she is not so flexible, but she is attractive and monumental.

The first players are already mastering the multiplayer spaces of online Hellas and glorifying the Greek gods in all parts of the world. Let's not lag behind them! And if you also like the game, then we will return to it in “Tips from the Masters” and talk about what else is worth paying attention to.

Well, good luck!

Do you know that?..

The director and chief designer of the Titan Quest game is Brian Sullivan, who founded Ensemble Studios back in the early 90s. It was in it that the illustrious game Age of Empires, now widely known and revered, saw the light of day. Brian even received the “Best Game Design” award for it at the Game Developers Conference in 1998. However, his favorite creation was and remains the game Age of Mythology, from which he drew inspiration, deciding to take episodes from the real history of the ancient world, add a little mysticism, creepy monsters and magic - and the result is an original and exciting role-playing game!

Despite the fact that Iron Lore is a very young game studio, people who worked on Asheron’s Call and people from Blizzard found themselves in it, so success and the creation of new masterpieces are probably ahead of them!
