It is enough to use the manufacturer’s service to install updated software. This is often called "firmware". In fact, the new version simply removed shortcomings, errors, or added new features to the previous software.
The procedure for updating the firmware of a Samsung TV is quite simple. Let's try with an example to take all the necessary steps for this. There are several methods, but we will use the update option via a USB port. You will need for the process: a clean USB drive, a laptop or PC with Internet access, and the TV itself, which we will update.

Then we check the language support, since updating with the English version will turn the entire TV menu into “English”. The downloadable version will contain a multilingual format.
Step 6. If the firmware is suitable in all respects, then download the file to the computer.
Step 7 Now we take a prepared blank USB drive and copy the saved information there.
Step 8 Close all unused programs on the computer. We launch the program for unpacking the software update files. To do this, just double-click and press “extract”.
Step 9 We wait until the process of extracting the firmware files is completed and remove the USB drive from the computer.

Preparing the flash drive
First, let's go to a personal computer, from where we will go to the official Samsung website and find the firmware for our TV model. Before looking for the latest firmware, we will prepare a flash drive. We need to perform low-level formatting in the FAT32 file system, which is mainly supported by TVs. To do this, we will use the HP USB Disk Storage FormatTool program.
Insert the flash drive into the USB port and launch the program. In the first field, select our media. The firmware will weigh no more than 200 MB, so any drive will do. In the second field, select the FAT32 file system. You can add a new device name if necessary. Uncheck the “Quick Format” checkbox, and then click on the “Start” button. A standard warning will appear stating that all files from the media will be deleted, click the “Yes” button. Formatting will take quite a long time, so let's start searching for the firmware.
Before going to the site, let’s go for a moment to the menu of our TV, go to the “Support” section, and from there to “Contact Samsung”.
The line we need is “Software Version”, we will need it to check if there is a new firmware. In my case, version T-GASDEUC-1018.0 is installed. Now we can calmly search.
Go to the official Samsung website, go to the “Support” section and select “Home”. We go down, select the “Downloads” section, the “Product Support” window will open, select “Audio and Video Equipment”.
Here you can enter the exact name of your TV model, click search. Our TV is located, we are checking the technical specifications. If everything is in order, then click on the “Select” button. A page will open with all the information on the TV, we need to go down a little lower to the “Downloads” section and check the firmware version. If the proposed version is higher, then you can download it here. In my case, the proposed version is 1027.0. Click on the corresponding icon and the download will begin.
The firmware has downloaded and formatting is complete. The downloaded zip archive needs to be unpacked. Most likely, we will have a self-extracting archive in front of us, so we just launch it and specify the path for unpacking. If the archive is normal, then we use any archiver: 7-Zip or WinRAR, for example. Copy the folder with the firmware to the flash drive. Please note that you need to copy not the archive, but already unpacked files.
Turn off the TV, it is advisable to disconnect all wires from it, including the antenna. Connect the flash drive to the USB port with the TV turned off. We turn on the TV. It happens that it immediately finds the firmware and offers to reflash, you just need to confirm the start of the process, but it happens that the TV does not give any suggestions. If you have the second case, go to “Menu”, “Support”, “Software Update”, “Via USB”. USB scanning in progress. A valid version was found on the device. We are prompted to update, click OK. Please note that this will reset all settings.
After the update, the TV reboots, all we have to do is set all the settings for ourselves and enjoy the new software. Well, let's move from words to practice - I will show the example of a TV from Samsung, but these instructions are universal for any manufacturers - the only difference is in the menu items. First of all, you need to find out the model of your TV. Its number is not only in the instructions or on the box, which you most likely have already thrown away, but also on the sticker on the back cover of the case.
We remember it and go to the official website of your manufacturer. We find a search form on it and look for the page number with a description of this TV.
On it we find a section with software, where we select and download the file with the latest firmware in Russian.
We insert the flash drive into the computer and launch the downloaded firmware - a small program that will ask you to select a disk to which you want to copy all the necessary files. We select our flash drive from the list and start unpacking.
