Lesson 1

I. Organizational moment.

Hello guys, today we will study a new topic: “Creating a postcard in Microsoft Word 7.0. Working with graphics." This topic will help you deeply explore the capabilities of the Word 7.0 word processor, learn how to use various processor modes and create a wide variety of documents: based on the modes studied in this topic, you will be able to create prospectuses, brochures, invitations, work well with graphics, using various effects. After studying this topic, you can easily design a postcard for your friends and family for any holiday or celebration. In the first lesson we will look at all the modes necessary for work and write them down.

In the second lesson, you will try, guided by the recorded material, to create your own postcard. For the theme of the postcard, let's take the nearest holiday - New Year. The postcard you create will participate in the competition printed publications among 9–10th grades. The competition is held at our school annually and promotes active work students, the growth of their creative abilities. At the competition, the main criteria are the high-quality design of the postcard and the text of the congratulations.

II. Introduction of a new topic.

Let's write down the topic: “Creating a postcard in Microsoft Word 7.0. Working with graphics."

(Orally. Didactic material is distributed).

Main modes used Word menu 7.0:

“File”\“Page Settings”.

“Format”\“Columns”.

“Format”\“Font”.

“Insert”\“Drawing”.

“Insert”\“Drawing”\“Word Art”.

“Format”\“Borders and Filling”.

“File”\“Print”.

* Instead of modes, you can use the corresponding toolbars.

We will record the progress of the work and all the actions that will need to be performed.

III. Progress.

Turn on the computer, load the word processor Word 7.0.

Set page parameters: “File”\“Page Settings”: on the “Margins” tab, set all margins to 1.5 centimeters; On the “Paper Size” tab, set the sheet orientation to landscape.

Using the “Format”\“Columns” mode, where we set the number of columns to 2 and the space between them to 3 centimeters.

* For ease of use, enable non-printable characters (¶ – the button with this icon is located on standard panel tools). Don’t forget to periodically save the file under the name “My Postcard” using the “File”\”Save” mode.

In the first column (this will be the second cover page) Enter key create empty lines and go down, on the last few lines we place information about the publisher, number of copies, etc., format the text in the center (“Format”\“Paragraph” or formatting panel) and use a colored font – “Format”\“ Font” or formatting bar. "rice. 4".

On last line in the first column, press Enter and the cursor moves to the second column - to the front side of the postcard “Fig. 4”, here you need to use all your imagination to make the card unusual and beautiful. You can use standard drawings from the Clipart catalog, you can group and change individual drawings, draw in Paint, if you have a scanner, you can use a scanned drawing.

To insert a picture into a postcard: “Insert”\“Picture”\“Pictures” in the Clipart collection dialog box, select the desired picture and click the insert button. The drawing will be placed in the document where the cursor was.

Extend the drawing across the entire column.

* Don’t forget that the postcard will be folded in half - the distance between the columns is 3 cm, i.e. the margin will remain 1.5 cm, the drawing should not go beyond the margins!

To prevent the drawing from displacing the text, set the wrapping: right click click on the picture and context menu Select Picture Format mode. A dialog box will open to configure the picture format. Left-click on the Wrapping tab and select None. To adjust the format of a picture, you can also use the image adjustment panel: if it does not open immediately when adding a picture, then right-click on the picture and select “Show image adjustment panel” in the context menu. "rice. 5"

The purpose of the buttons on this panel is: insert a picture; image (black and white, grayscale, etc.); increase contrast; reduce contrast; will increase brightness; reduce brightness; cropping the picture (cropping); line type; text wrapping; drawing format; install transparent color; reset picture parameters.

To print the text “Happy New Year!” over the picture. (or any card theme) place the picture under the text: right-click on the picture in the context menu that opens, select the “Order” command, and in the list that appears, the “Place behind the text” command.

The text on the title page of the postcard can be made Word object Art: to do this, use the “Insert”\“Drawing”\“Word Art” mode or click the corresponding button on the drawing panel.

Having issued title page press Enter to create a second sheet.

In the first column, press Enter to create empty rows, but if you want, you can place any thematic picture.

In the second column of the second sheet, print the text of the congratulations and format it: set the alignment - centered, font color, style using the “Format”\”Font” mode and the formatting panel. "rice. 6".

To set a frame for a postcard, use the “Format”\“Borders and Fill” mode. In the dialog box, select the “Page” tab, in the “Picture” field, select a suitable frame, set its parameters: thickness, color. Next, click on the “Options” button and in the “Relative” field in the dialog box, select “text”. Click “OK” to apply the frame to the card.

View a preview of the card.

First print 1 sheet on the printer, then turn it over, put it back into the printer to print on the other side and print 2 sheets.

* After explaining each mode, it is necessary to ask the students if everything is clear to them, if they can explain something in more detail. This ensures that all students in the class are learning the material.

Summarizing.

Guys, during this lesson you learned how to create and design a postcard, learned new modes for working with graphics and text. With their help and creative efforts, you can create a greeting card and your card will probably take a prize in the print competition!

Lesson 2

Reinforcing the topic - practical work.

And now you will try to create a New Year’s card on your computer, see “Fig. 1".

* The class is divided into pairs. Each couple makes their own card. Since most practical work is done in pairs, the guys are already accustomed to this and no conflicts arise. After making the postcard, you can print it in 2 copies, slightly changing the text.

Organizing time:

Guys, the postcard must be created sequentially so as not to make mistakes. The most difficult thing in such work is editing the formats that you have already configured. For example, if you forget to change the orientation of the sheet from portrait to landscape, then naturally you will have to redo the entire card. A postcard consists of many elements, so all elements must have the same style.

Performance practical work on a personal computer.

* If one of the children cannot cope or lacks ideas, the teacher can help and advise the child.

Physical education minute.

A) Exercise for visual relaxation (I do it after 17 minutes of working at the computer):

We will close our eyes tightly -

Let's look into the distance and be surprised -
One two three four five!
And let's close them again -
One two three four five!
Need to open again!

Repeat 2 – 3 times.

B) Exercise for finger gymnastics (such exercises must be carried out when printing text works):

Toes:

If you're already tired
All you have to do is click the buttons,

Then let's play -
Have a minute to rest!

Get everyone together
And stomp a little!
Then quickly straighten up,
Shake yourself well
And one by one, everyone gather in a fist.

Repeat the exercise 2 times.

- Well, we are all cheered up!
- Let's get to work together!

The eve of the holiday is better than the holiday itself.

Japanese proverb

The New Year and Christmas holidays are approaching. This means that the secretaries will only have more trouble. One of them is preparation and distribution New Year's greetings partners and clients. We'll tell you how to create and send New Year's greeting cards using MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint and avoid common mistakes.

WE CREATE A GREETING CARD IN MS POWERPOINT FORMAT

Selecting pictures. Using the Internet we find several drawings in PNG formats or GIF (the latter allows you to create animation in a postcard). For example, these (Fig. 1-4):

Open a blank presentation in MS PowerPoint without using any templates. Removing windows Heading slide And Subtitle slide. The result is a completely clean slide.

Create the background of the postcard. We use one of the pictures as a background. We insert it into the slide field and “adjust” it to the size of the slide (Fig. 5).

Then we place the rest of the pictures on the slide, and move one of them (with the image of Santa Claus) outside the main field of the slide (Fig. 6).

Adding animation. Now let's add animation (for this we use images in GIF format). In our example, this is a picture of Santa Claus. Select it by clicking, then on the bookmark Animation select a team Add animation, then - Other ways movements(Fig. 7).

In the window that opens, select the path of movement, that is, the trajectory of the image in the future postcard. For example, Sine wave 1 (Fig. 8).

The slide will show the trajectory of movement (Fig. 9), which can be changed with the mouse, like any picture (reduce, enlarge or move). In our example, Santa Claus moves from left to right (Fig. 10). To see what it will look like, click the button F5(slide show mode) and left-click on the slide. To exit this mode, just press Esc.

Adding text. You can now place text in the slide field. To do this, bookmark Insert select the option WordArt and then - the font you like (Fig. 11). A frame will appear in the slide field for adding text. It can also be easily adjusted with the mouse. Now let's add animation to the congratulatory inscription. To do this, bookmark Animation select a team Add animation, and then - Figure. Thus, two objects will move in the postcard - a figurine of Santa Claus and a congratulatory inscription.

We optimize postcard viewing. And the final touch. Typically, postcard recipients do not know how many times they need to click on it (or whether they need to) to see the animation. To prevent them from having such questions, we’ll set viewing parameters in the tab Region animations(Fig. 12). Since our greeting card contains several pictures with animation, right-click on each of them and select the launch type, for example Launch after previous(Fig. 13). In this case, all animated objects will move without additional clicks on the slide.

We save the postcard. The postcard should now be saved correctly. To do this, specify the file type: PowerPoint demo(Fig. 14).

Browsing final version greeting card(Fig. 15):

WE SEND OUT POSTCARDS VIA MS OUTLOOK

So, the greeting card is ready. Now you need to send out congratulations. These can be personalized messages, when the addressee is the only recipient of the message, or sending the same type of messages to several recipients. Let's look at the mailing process in MS Outlook and find out how you can simplify your task.

Launch MS Word (empty file). Bookmarked Newsletters select a team Begin merger Step by step master mergers(Fig. 16).

In the window that opens Selecting a document type select the document type Electronic message and press Further.

Opening the document (Fig. 17). The following dialog box will open - Select a document, in which we choose the basis for creating a message. Since we already have MS Word open, we select it, that is Current document. Then press the command Further. Selecting Recipients(Fig. 18).

Note that there are two interesting columns in this list: Gender and Title. They will help you correctly address each recipient of your congratulations.

If the list is prepared, in the dialog box Selecting Recipients put a check mark next to the option Usage list and using the command Review, add the list (Fig. 20).

After adding a mailing list, in the window that opens, you can adjust the list of recipients: check the box next to those entries that should be included in the mailing list (Fig. 21). After adjusting the list of recipients, click OK.

Since we have a fairly simple mailing text (only the greeting changes), then in the dialog box Creation messages we will be interested in the option Line greetings(Fig. 22). Place the cursor at the very beginning of the mailing text and in the dialog box Creation messages select the option Line greetings. A window will open Insert lines greetings.

Here you can see the format of the greeting and, if necessary, adjust it, then click OK(Fig. 23).

To see what the mailing text will ultimately look like, in the window Creation messages select the option Further. View messages(Fig. 25):

If you find any inconsistencies while viewing, they can be easily eliminated by going to the dialog box Selection fields(Fig. 26).

After viewing the message, complete the merger by clicking in the window View messages team Further. Completion mergers(Fig. 27).

In the window that opens Completion mergers select the option Electronic mail(Fig. 28).

We send postcards. In the dialog box that opens Composite electronic letters fill in the fields To whom, Subject(Fig. 29). In chapter Send records, select the item

All. In this case, the letters will be sent to all recipients marked with a checkmark in the list and automatically placed in the “Sent Items” folder in MS Outlook.

WE DESIGN ENVELOPES IN MS WORD FOR PAPER DISTRIBUTION

For a small number of recipients

Despite the fact that today everyone uses e-mail, sending congratulations in paper form may still be necessary. Let's look at how you can automate the work of preparing envelopes in MS Word if you need to prepare a small number of envelopes.

By pressing the button Options, you can adjust the font, the location of the address on the envelope, the dimensions of the envelope (Fig. 32), etc., and also see how to correctly place the envelope in the printer tray for printing (Fig. 33).

The addresses are filled in, the envelope is in the printer tray - just click Seal(See Figure 31) and the addressed envelope will be printed.

When there are many recipients

First, let's prepare a list of recipients. You can use the same list as for mailings by e-mail, just add the “Address” and “Index” columns to it (Fig. 34).

When the list is ready, open an empty MS Word file. Then in the bookmark Newsletters select a team Begin merger, and in the drop-down list - the command Step by step master mergers(see Fig. 16 83). Next we perform the following steps:

■ Step 1: in the Select document type directory, click Envelopes(see Fig. 17).

■ Step 2: take as a basis Current document(see Fig. 18).

■ Step 3: Select Usage list(see Fig. 20).

■ Step 4: Select Block addresses(Fig. 22) - a dialog box will open Insert block addresses(Fig. 35).

In the window that opens, adjust the parameters of the address elements. For example, if the letter is addressed to a company and not to a specific person, you need to uncheck the box next to the option Insert the recipient's name in the format. In chapter View You can see what the address on the envelope will look like. And use the arrows to scroll through and view all the decorated envelopes. If everything is in order, click OK.

■ Step 5. Check the decorated envelopes again.

■ Step 6. Click Print.

Happy New Year 2017!

Who among us doesn't love holidays?! Metushnya and preparation, friends and family, gifts and many kind words. And many often come up with these very words on the spot when congratulating the hero of the occasion. Or there is a second option - buy a postcard and read the congratulations from it.

In this article we will talk about them, and I will tell you about creating a postcard from scratch, if you want to do everything yourself, and how you can use already ready-made templates in Word.

The need to make a postcard may arise due to various reasons, for example, you didn’t have time to go to the store and buy it, you just didn’t find the right one, or you wanted to show your talent and please the person handmade. I like to recite poems of my own composition during the holidays, rather than read ready-made ones from a postcard, so I have to look for one that is empty inside. And since it’s difficult to find one with an interesting cover and without writing, the “do it yourself” option can be a great help.

Let's start with ready-made options. Open any Word file, go to “File” at the top and select “Create” from the menu on the left.

If you use Word 2013 or 2016, then also create new document, and then enter the desired phrase into the search.

The difference is that in newer versions of the text editor, there are categories on the right, which makes it easier to find a postcard on a specific topic. That is, you need a Happy Birthday, Easter or March 8 card, just click on the appropriate item and the available templates will appear in the area in the middle.

If the version of Word is not new, then scroll through the list and find a suitable template for the postcard. Then select it and click on the button.

When it is downloaded, it will open in a new window. On the page at the top, the image that is upside down is the cover, everything below is the inside.

First you need to print the first sheet, then turn it over and run it through the printer again. The result should be this: a picture, and with reverse side there will be text. Cut and fold in half - done.

If there are notes in the margins, pay attention to them; there may be explanations on how to print and fold the postcard, and where to insert the text.

You can change the template a little. In the example, the middle will be white with text. Let's add a picture there to make it more interesting. Open “Insert” at the top and click “Drawing”.

The top two cells need to be drawn upside down. This is done so that later the postcard can be printed correctly.

The cover will be in the top left square, the last page in the right, and the inside at the bottom.

You can add pictures, for this you need to make sure that they are saved on the computer, areas with inscriptions and various shapes ( the desired button found on the "Insert" tab). I will have images and caption.

I set italics in the cell with the cover and insert a picture. Using the markers, I change its size, then select the “Before text” wrap and flip it 180 degrees.

For last page I just chose a plain background, this is the cell fill, and inserted the inscription.

The next thing to do is to remove all internal borders so that they do not spoil appearance. Leave a frame around it for easy cutting. Select the entire table, open the “Designer” at the top, click on the arrow next to the “Borders” button, and in the drop-down list, first click “No borders”, then "Outer Borders".

Now let's place the card on the page correctly so that during printing, after you turn the sheet over to the other side, everything on the other side will fit as it should. To do this, you need to make sure that the values for the top and bottom margins of the page are the same.

Open the “View” tab and enable grid display by checking the appropriate box. Then select the entire table and in the document on the ruler on the left, move the markers so that the card above and below lies clearly on the grid. It should look like the screenshot. My top of the card coincides with the beginning of the grid, do the same at the bottom.

Then we go to the top "Page Layout", click the “Fields” button and select the item "Customizable". Please note that the table must be highlighted.

We sum the values in the top and bottom fields and divide by two.

We indicate the resulting value in these fields and click “OK”. Now your card should be clearly in the middle relative to the top and bottom of the page.
