Let me write about the gaming performance: CS:GO, everything is at a minimum, the resolution is native, it plays very comfortably, and there is no shortage of graphics, so you can play without problems. NFS U2, almost everything is at maximum, everything is fast and ok. Gothic 2, a piece of the window is displayed, albeit on Full Screen. HL2, everything is set to maximum by default, no problems. L4D2, everything is at a minimum, but it plays comfortably and does not hurt the eyes, the resolution is native.

    • 1. IPS matrix, that’s why I bought the laptop, it’s just super; 2. Transformer, can be used as a tablet if necessary; 3. Good audio, to my ears; 4. Lightweight, stylish, small; 5. Comfortable island-type keyboard; 6. Wide touchpad; 7. Looks like iron, but plastic
    • In the area of the keyboard, the plastic bends, apparently it is too thin and is not secured anywhere, obviously not critical because... The key travel is excellent.; It’s not really a disadvantage to have at least 128 SSDs instead of a 500Gb HDD, but it depends on which way you look at it; Update: ; 1) A year later, the plastic showed that it scratches and rubs very easily, but this is only an aesthetic problem. ; 2) Besides this, the touchpad is not the best, sometimes it gets glitches and the mouse twitches, just enter sleep mode and exit...
  1. A fly in the ointment

Pros: excellent IPS matrix, excellent sound from the built-in speakers. Of the minuses: sats II interface. That is, the speed is only 3 gigabits per second. SSD drive you can connect, but in terms of speed it will work like a regular built-in one HDD drive at 5400 rpm. Alas.

I came here specifically to write about the keyboard. The laptop itself is great, the battery lasts a long time, and it’s quite inexpensive. The ability to transform into a tablet turns it into a convenient work laptop - you can show the client documentation directly on site, handheld, for example. Brakes can be eliminated by replacing the module random access memory 8 GB, hard drive- for an average SSD (a weaker percentage won’t handle it faster).

    • Compact; Light enough; Good screen; Long battery life
    • !!KEYBOARD!! ; Plastic case
  2. Dell-transformer

    May 1, 2016

I bought this model a year ago. Initially I was choosing between an Apple transformer and a Dell, but I wanted a touch screen, the attractive price of Dell won. It looks very stylish on the outside, it’s thin. But after a couple of days I noticed that the sensor freezes a lot and I have to use a regular keyboard. Another disadvantage this is that there was noise during operation. Apparently, for such a price, a transformable sensor is not entirely successful. If you want a touch sensor and a transformer, I advise you not to skimp and choose Apple.

The full official name of the hero of our review is Dell New Inspiron 11 3000 Series 2-in-1, from which we can conclude that we have a new 11-inch laptop with transformation capabilities. Call this device something shorter, for example Dell Inspiron 11 will not work, since the Dell Inspiron 11 (3137) model already exists and is a completely ordinary subnotebook, and not a more functional 2-in-1. To avoid confusion, try to remember that the model we will tell you about in this review is called Dell Inspiron 11 (3147).

Design, materials

The Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) transformer is made in a compact silver case, only the display bezel and the chiclet keyboard are black. The silver material, with a nice matte finish, is very reminiscent of aluminum, but it's just plastic painted to look like metal.

Moreover, judging by the condition of the sample tested, if handled carelessly, this plastic will quickly become covered with scratches. dimensions the devices are 300 x 201.5 x 21.2 mm and weigh 1.39 kg, which is quite good for this form factor.

The front and back parts of the display unit and the base of the case are uniformly rounded in an identical manner, so that when viewed head-on, these edges resemble a pair of rollers. In addition to a purely design function, the recess formed in this way helps to more conveniently catch your finger on the display unit when transforming into one of four available modes(laptop, tablet, stand, easel). The side edges, on the contrary, are made flat, which allows you to accurately determine by touch which edges (side or front/back) you are holding the Dell Inspiron 11 (3147).

The transformer cover is completely flat, with a mirrored Dell logo in the center, and two steel hinges of a “360-degree” hinge towards the back. With the exception of narrow chamfers, the lower part of the case is also flat. At the bottom of the transformer you can find service information, fastening screws and four legs in the form of thin rubber strips.

The only activity indicator is located in the very right corner of the front edge of the Dell Inspiron 11. From the rear edge you can only see two steel hinges and a radiator for the cooling system. On the right side there is a power button, a volume rocker, one of two speakers, as well as a USB 2.0 port, a full-size SD card reader and a hole for attaching a security lock. On the left you can find a second speaker, a combined audio port, USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 connectors, a full-size HDMI video output and a charger socket.

The unusual layout, in particular the power and volume buttons located on the side faces, as well as stereo acoustics, is due to the fact that after the transformation work panel is hidden from the user.

Ergonomics

The lid of the Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) will have to be opened with both hands, since the hinge was made quite tight due to the need to maintain a given angle in stand and easel modes. The matrix is covered with protective glossy glass along the perimeter of which there is a protective rubber roller.

At the bottom of the display unit there is a convex insert made of rubberized plastic, in the middle of which a hardware Windows button is integrated. As a result, the device is comfortable to hold in tablet mode in portrait orientation; the tubular thickening fits well in the hand.

The edges of the Dell Inspiron 11's desktop slightly round off as you approach all four edges, making it look a little bloated. The splash-proof black island keyboard is located in a shallow niche, CapsLock mode indicator white taken outside its boundaries. The keys are moved almost flush against the screen to make room for a truly large touchpad.

But the keyboard unit, on the contrary, is relatively compact; the developers did not use the entire width of the working panel. Nevertheless, the layout cannot be called too dense; the nicely rounded keys allow you to type a large amount of text without any problems. A number of function keys F1-F12 have a reverse layout, and they work without problems as part of double shortcuts (for example, Alt+F4). The arrow block of the Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) is designed according to the optimal design in the form of a reverse T, and the Enter key has an ergonomic L-shape.

As a compromise, we had to abandon the dedicated Home/End and PgUp/PgDown buttons (their role is played by the arrow block paired with the Fn modifier) and slightly narrower the keys responsible for the rarely used “E” and “B” symbols. I’m glad that the key to the left of Shift, which in the Cyrillic layout is responsible for typing a period and a comma, was not minimized.

Transformation

The 360-degree hinge transformation mechanism was not invented by Dell, we saw exactly the same solution a year ago while testing an ultrabook. The hinge of the hero of our review in exactly the same way allows you to throw the display unit first 180 degrees until it touches the table top, and then turn it even further, right up to the contact between the lid and the bottom of the notebook, which is unrealistic for a regular laptop.

Accordingly, the transformer can take on the appearance of a laptop and tablet, and also switch to the mode of a multimedia stand or easel. In terms of hinge two latest regime this is the same condition in which the angle of its rotation is in the range between 270 and 360 degrees. The only difference is which part of the transformer rests on the table - the keyboard or the front edges of the display and the base of the case. By the way, think twice before placing the transformer in multimedia stand mode on a surface that is not very clean - you will have to clean the cheesecake and coffee residues from the crevices of the keyboard, and not from the flat bottom panel.

Along the edges of the keyboard niche of the Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) you can find four rubber inserts, which at first glance seem to be a common protective measure against the screen touching the keyboard. However, these rubber strips also have a second purpose - they act as anti-slip feet in stand mode, when the laptop rests on the table not with its bottom, but with its working panel. The situation is the same with the feet on the bottom - they protect the display unit and the bottom from contact in “tablet mode”. By the way, the front edges of the base of the case and the display unit in “tent mode” are sorely lacking in such legs, since moving the transformer on the table you will sooner or later scratch these edges.

In tablet mode, both parts of the Dell Inspiron 11 convertible are secured using a tight hinge and four magnets. By the way, the magnets of the base of the case are placed on a beveled edge, so the efficiency of their attraction is noticeably reduced due to the air gap. The role of the backrest in this mode is played by the working panel, so the keyboard and touchpad flex under your hands, which is at least unusual. Don't worry about accidentally typing extra text using the keyboard and touchpad, as they turn off when the screen is tilted more than 180 degrees.

The transformer is equipped with a position sensor, which can only be disabled using the interface since the developers of the Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) did not provide a separate slider on the body. With a vertical grip, the 11.6-inch tablet can be held with one hand. Holding it exactly in the middle won't work, as you will block the exhaust of the cooling system, but if you move your palm a little lower, you will have to intercept your hand to press the Windows hardware button.

When you grip the tablet horizontally, your palms rest comfortably on the lower part of the flat side panels - the stereo speakers do not overlap, and the power and sound control buttons are at your fingertips. The idyll ends the moment you need to connect any peripherals, since all the connectors are right at your fingertips.

Functionality

The Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) convertible laptop is based on an energy-efficient Intel platform Bay Trail-M, in particular can be used dual-core Intel processor Celeron N2830 (2.4 GHz) or quad core Intel Pentium N3530 (2.6 GHz). Both processors are made using a 22 nm process technology and have an integrated Intel graphics HD Graphics and the same level of maximum heat dissipation Max.TDP of 7.5 W.

The standard DDR3L-1600 module placed in a single SODIMM slot is used as RAM. Using a separate module rather than a soldered one motherboard memory significantly simplifies the upgrade - by unscrewing a few screws you can easily replace the installed 4 GB stick with a more capacious 8 GB module yourself. Since you are, in principle, thinking about increasing performance, then try replacing the included 500 GB HDD with a possibly less capacious, but much faster SSD.

Results

As a result, the Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) turned out to be a rather interesting compact transformer, one of the main advantages of which should be its attractive price. In the US market, the starting price tag for the model is set at $399, which is much less inspiring, even taking into account the current exchange rate. There are almost no complaints about the device itself, except for the case’s not the most practical and durable coating, so fans of “all-in-one” transformers should definitely take a closer look at it.

This 11-inch laptop with a touch screen is positioned by the manufacturer as a portable and multifunctional device based on an Intel processor and operating system Windows systems 8.1. In this review I will talk about this model in more detail.

This 11-inch laptop with a touch screen is positioned by the manufacturer as a portable and multifunctional device based on an Intel processor and the Windows 8.1 operating system. In this review I will talk about this model in more detail.

Design and ergonomics

The device looks simply amazing. It immediately becomes clear that all the details of the laptop are 100% worked out. Almost the entire body is made of practical gray plastic with a rough texture.

The designers were able to come up with a design in which both straight lines and rounded edges would look harmonious. Well, most interesting feature here are the hinges, which, in essence, make this laptop a transformer with three use scenarios.

You can work both in the usual mode and in two positions of the stand, as well as in tablet mode.

If we look at the design in more detail, then everything is implemented according to the classical scheme.

The manufacturer's logo is visible on the lid, the rear panel has rubberized feet for stable operation on various surfaces, and all available connectors, control keys and built-in speaker grilles are located on the side faces. By the way, they are loud enough for listening to music and watching videos at home. The manufacturer also provided a hole for attaching a security lock. How can you subject such beautiful laptop at risk of being stolen?!

The working surface here is quite practical - it fits your wrists perfectly, and the large touchpad improves the level of comfort while working.

The island-type keyboard features virtually silent and smooth key travel.

The touch display has received a protective coating.

Above the screen you can see a webcam lens with an operation indicator and a light sensor.

There is a mechanical Home key at the bottom.

Weighing 1.39 kg, the thickness of the device is slightly more than 2 cm. Why not an ultrabook?

Display

11 inch touchscreen has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels. Color rendition is natural, and viewing angles are at a good level.

But there are also moments that I didn’t like. This is a fairly wide frame and a glossy finish, which, together with the light source behind it, can drive even the most balanced person crazy.

Performance

The Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) is equipped with a 2.16 GHz quad-core Intel Pentium N3530 processor (in Turbo Boost frequency can reach 2.58 GHz), 2 MB cache and built-in graphics adapter Intel HD Graphics. The laptop also received 4 GB of DDR3L RAM and HDD volume 500 GB.

This configuration will cope with the most common tasks, such as working with a package office applications from Microsoft, Internet surfing, video playback high resolution etc. In the case of launching games, I can say that most popular online games, given the selection optimal settings, they will work here without any complaints.

Software

The tested model runs the Windows 8.1 operating system with standard set services and applications. Here I would like to talk about good software optimization, a smooth and thoughtful interface.

Communications

The laptop has wireless Wi-Fi modules 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0. They work flawlessly. There is an HDMI socket to display images on an additional display, a multi-format card reader is provided for reading memory cards, and for connecting various peripherals and external drives there are two USB port 2.0 and one USB 3.0 connector. The manufacturer did not forget about the combined 3.5 mm audio output for connecting a headset.

Working hours

Autonomous operation of the transformer is ensured by a built-in battery with a capacity of 43 Wh. This is enough for continuous use for five hours with the wireless connections And high level brightness

In a more moderate operating scenario, it can last up to ten hours without connecting a charger.

Impression

If this transformer had been an exam for Dell, the company would have passed it with a solid A. Everything about it is good - exciting design, materials, good performance and excellent battery life. This laptop is definitely worth a look.

Even though Windows 8 was lukewarmly received by users around the world, it set the fashion for unusual devices and made touch control more or less convenient thanks to the Metro interface.

Of course, not all devices turned out to be revolutionary, like the Microsoft Surface tablet on Win8 RT, although tablets on full Windows 8 are quite convenient and you can even work on them. But hybrid or transitional models are attracting more and more attention every day.

Today I am testing a hybrid laptop, or better yet a transformer, Dell Inspiron 11 (3147), which has the qualities of both a laptop and a tablet. Is it convenient, practical, how powerful? Read my review below to find out more.

A couple of years ago, Dell had a model with a rotating screen - the XPS 12. The model was unique in that it offered its own take on convertible laptops. The laptop monitor rotated 360 degrees inside the frame, thus turning into a tablet and back into a laptop. But the model turned out to be too expensive, so it did not become widespread.

Dell Inspiron 11 can be called the company's work on its mistakes. They took more affordable option rotating display, like Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 13, and made it as simple as possible, in the good sense of the word.

The laptop turned out to be very compact in size. Grey colour The body resembles metal, but the design is made entirely of matte plastic. This made it possible to reduce the cost of the model, although in a laptop of this class we would like stronger material. But it is unusually light (1.39 kg), so in your hands it feels like a real tablet, and not a piece of brick. Although you still can’t hold it suspended for long with one hand.

Externally, the Dell Inspiron 11 looks quite modest. No engraving other than the embossed Dell logo on the lid, no variety of colors or fine lines. Strict and angular. The feeling of a hard worker's laptop, which is not designed to distract with screaming appearance, but rather force you to focus on work. These are the business models.

“Turning” the Dell Inspiron 11 into a tablet is very simple - just open the lid 360 degrees. The effect of transforming a laptop into a tablet delighted several of my friends. From the outside it looks like the lid is breaking. Yes, it is still possible to surprise the public with such an unusual disclosure. It is likely that in a couple of years all laptops will have such a rotating screen.

Naturally, the Dell Inspiron 11 has an IPS touchscreen. The image quality is the same as on a MacBook with Retina, only the resolution is only 1366x768 pixels instead of FullHD, and more is not needed for an 11-inch screen.

The display is covered with glass, and glossy glass, which also tends to glare - this is such a sacrifice for the sake of touch control. The screen also collects all your fingerprints for fingerprint examination, so be prepared to occasionally wipe the screen with a cloth.

The screen frames were made quite large for a comfortable fit in your palms. Because of this, in mode Dell laptop Inspiron 11, the screen seems smaller, but the body, on the contrary, seems larger. Although this is a matter of habit, a couple of work sessions and this drawback becomes almost invisible.

The Dell Inspiron 11 can be placed in 4 positions: a regular laptop, a tablet on a horizontal stand, on a vertical stand, and a flat tablet mode. I didn’t have enough imagination for more, maybe there are even more convenient transformation options.

In tablet mode, there is one Windows button available that returns to home screen Metro. In laptop mode we get a compact island-type keyboard for small laptops without a NumPad. The buttons are soft, so I would like some extra firmness to feel the feedback.

But you don’t have to be afraid to kill the keyboard block with a cup of coffee. The Dell Inspiron 11 was waterproof. But backlighting is out of the question - it’s not in the right price category.

To connect various peripherals, the Dell Inspiron 11 is equipped with: two USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0, an HDMI output, an SD memory card slot and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The absence of VGA can still be forgiven, but a place for an Ethernet port could have been found. But at the ends there was room for two stereo speakers.

For convenient use laptop in tablet mode, the power button is also located on the end along with the volume control.

Now it’s time to find out about the performance of the Dell Inspiron 11. I’ll note right away that this laptop is not intended for games: we can’t talk about any Call of Duty or Battlefield 4, maximum Angry Birds or Asphalt 8. All due to the lack of a discrete video adapter. Intel HD Graphics is responsible for video processing.

But the Dell Inspiron 11 copes well with other tasks, such as watching videos in FullHD quality, office work, and Internet surfing. The Intel Pentium N3530 processor has enough power. Photoshop, however, works slowly, but it’s enough to process photos.

The only complaint is that it is not used in the Dell Inspiron 11 solid state drive, instead - a 500 GB hard drive. Frequent transformations of the laptop during operation can damage the moving parts of the hard drive. The logic of the engineers is not entirely clear. And with an SSD drive the speed would be a little higher.

As for the time battery life, then the Dell Inspiron 11 can work continuously for 7-7.5 hours at minimum load.

Technical Dell specifications Inspiron 11 (3147):

Bottom line

I would recommend the Dell Inspiron 11 to those who love compact models laptops and want to save money on a tablet, because this transformer is actually 2 devices in one. Light weight allows you to take it with you on trips or business trips, and the power is enough for office work. The cost of Dell Inspiron 11 on the Ukrainian market is about $530.

Starting today, we are pleased to introduce you to an expanded version of the review of the Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) convertible laptop. If you remember, it is a representative of the budget category of compact laptops, and quite a worthy specimen, and we had the most pleasant impressions of it. IN this review Special attention We paid attention to system speed, autonomy and display quality.

Contents of delivery

As expected, the package is very modest: the laptop itself, Charger Yes, a couple of books - a guide to getting started and information on safety and compliance with standards.

Design

The main feature of this device is the ability to retrain in one second from a laptop to a regular 11.6-inch tablet, to a tablet on a stand, and also to an easel. To do this, there are a pair of rather tight hinges that do not allow you to open the laptop with one hand. What can I say, the device is perfectly optimized for this kind of transformation, according to at least, at first sight. Judge for yourself, firstly, there is a position sensor that adjusts the screen orientation depending on the type of use of the laptop. Secondly, as soon as you open the device more than 180 degrees, the keyboard is automatically deactivated, turning the device into a full-fledged tablet.

The Inspiron 11 (3147) is very comfortable to use in any of the available positions. The hinges hold the lid perfectly, the angle of the display, you know, you can set it to whatever your heart desires. The device is compact and, by and large, cannot be said to be heavy, since it weighs 1.4 kg with dimensions of 300x200x19 mm. Although if we consider this issue from the perspective of a tablet, then it is difficult to hold the device with one hand, but if in the light of a laptop, then everything is just fine.

The transformer body is made of plastic with a matte finish and a texture pleasant to the touch. Silver color is used almost everywhere here, with the only exceptions being the keyboard keys and the display frame.

The laptop lid flexes quite a lot, as does the keyboard backing, the palm area and even the bottom. We conclude that the plastic is not of the highest quality, and the strength of the material leaves much to be desired.

In general, with the exception of these shortcomings, the Inspiron 11 (3147) is very nice in appearance, the smooth lines of the body are in perfect harmony with the silver-black color scheme, and compactness adds a special flavor to this “cocktail” of style.

The bottom has a slightly convex shape. You will also be able to see many fixing screws. There is a ventilation grill between the hinges, and four strip-shaped rubber support legs are evenly scattered around the perimeter of the platform. To get into the “inner world” of the laptop, you have to unscrew the entire panel.

Display, sound, webcam

The 11.6-inch touchscreen display has a fairly wide frame. At first we were somewhat confused by this, but then the essence of this solution became clear - when the device is transformed into a tablet and back, the fingers do not contact the touch surface, therefore, they do not cause any unplanned actions. In addition, there is a rubber surround around the display that is thin on the sides and widens towards the bottom. In the area between the hinges, it has a built-in Windows button that is active in both tablet and laptop mode.

The touch screen with a resolution of 1366x768 pixels has a glossy finish and is protected by durable glass. The touchscreen works just fine, multi-touch gestures are supported, including ten-finger touches. To be honest, the font is too small for easy operation, so sometimes it can be difficult to hit the target to open the desired folder or close the application with a cross. IPS matrix Provides excellent viewing angles. The image clarity is at a level sufficient for comfortable work.

The screen brightness is adjusted manually using buttons and or automatically, thanks to the presence of a light sensor. However, its maximum level is very low - only 137 cd/m2, but this is enough for a room. But such indicators as contrast and black level are pleasantly pleasing: 670:1 and 0.20 cd/m2, respectively.

If we compare the results of our laptop with the models that have already been tested, then we can say with confidence: it occupies a leading position in contrast, but in terms of brightness it predictably trails behind, including the HP Pavilion TouchSmart 11 with its 167 cd/ m2.

The backlight uniformity is not ideal, the maximum deviation is 24%. The darkest spot turned out to be the lower right corner, while in the center the luminosity was exemplary.

The color rendition here is very, very good. In the sRGB color space the match is 82%, while in AdobeRGB it is 65%. So the screen in the Inspiron 11 (3147) should please you. The matrix really reproduces colors realistically.

This device can be used as an e-reader without any problems. For clear example We downloaded the FBReader program, which works with any operating system.

A pair of stereo speakers produces good quality sound with a good volume level. The speaker grilles are located on the right and left at the side ends; they are slightly recessed into the body, and this is probably why the sound is not muffled at all, even if you cover them with your fingers. As for the quality of acoustics, which is processed by the resources of the Waves MaxxAudio Pro technology, listening to music or watching movies is quite comfortable, but the sound still lacks clarity and bass, although at maximum volume it at least does not vibrate.

Camera operation is accompanied by activity indicator light located next to the peephole.

But the 720p module does not reproduce colors quite correctly (for example, instead of natural Pink colour lips, it turns out gray-blue), and the detailing of objects also suffers. But, in principle, it’s quite enough for Skype.

Keyboard and touchpad

Acting as a 2-in-1 device, the Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) offers two keyboards - physical and touch. The latter has quite interesting design: Landscape digital block is located between letter blocks, which is not entirely customary. However touch keys large, easy to work with.

The physical keyboard is located on a plastic substrate, which flexes very much during typing. This brings significant discomfort. The keys themselves are plastic, rough, large, and located far from each other.

The markings are made in white, the layout is standard. There is an indicator light on the side that lights up when the dialing mode is in capital letters activated The buttons of the pointer block, which also perform the functions , , , , , are reduced by approximately half. It is also worth noting that the keyboard is waterproof due to drainage holes.

The touchpad on the laptop is truly large; it has a distinct rectangular shape with rounded corners. The dimensions of the touch zone are 105x60 mm, allocated physical buttons not here, they are hidden under the common area. They are pressed with a quiet, barely noticeable click. The touchpad surface is rough and has high sensitivity. You will also have access to pinch and scroll gestures.

To manage the touchpad settings, Dell's proprietary utility is used, where you can adjust the sensitivity of the touch zone, as well as activate gestures and set button functions.

Performance

The Dell Inspiron 3147 (3147-2686) runs Windows 8.1 64-bit operating system.

By the way, those who prefer to store a huge amount of information will find the 20 GB offered by the manufacturer in Dropbox – a file storage cloud storage. The free use period is one year from the date of activation.

As for the hardware, the laptop has a budget quad-core Intel Pentium N3530 processor with an operating frequency of 2.16-2.58 GHz. This is the new generation of Bay Trail-M with reduced energy consumption and a second-level cache reduced to 2 MB (and in some models to 1 MB). However, hyperthreading technology is not supported here, which is not in the best possible way affects its performance.

The built-in Intel HD Graphics (Bay Trail) video card has only 4 execution units, but supports DirectX 11. Find out at what frequency it operates in this laptop, we were unable to do so, but according to official data, the graphics can be maximally overclocked to 792 MHz.

Testing the system in 3DMark 06 clearly demonstrated that the CPU and GPU are quite weak - a total of 2294 points.

In 3DMark 11, the picture remains unchanged and sad – 261 points. Maximum amount parrots were scored in the physics test and the combined test - 1813 and 268, respectively, graphics were scored only 223 points.

In 3DMark 2013, the Fire Strike subtest did not pass at all; Sky Diver, Cloud Gate and Ice Storm each had 576, 1575 and 20634 points, respectively.

Judging by the comparative graph, in 3DMark 06 the Inspiron 3147, of course, is ahead of the ASUS X102BA by a little more than 300 points, but overall it still lags behind its competitors.

We remind you that Cinebench R11.5 is a comprehensive test that provides results separately for the processor (in pts) and video card (in fps). Intel Pentium N3530 with built-in Intel video card HD Graphics (Bay Trail) were rated at 1.83 pts and 6.64 fps respectively.

Compared to its competitors, the Intel CPU looks great, but the integrated graphics are inferior on all fronts.

Cinebench R15 is a more complicated benchmark compared to Cinebench R11.5, and the results for the CPU are already displayed in cb. According to the screenshot, we have 6.17 fps and 150 cb. Relatively good results...

The amount of RAM standard DDR3-1333 is 4 GB, which, in general, is quite logical, given the budget of the device. Plank Samsung memory M471B5173DB0-YK0 occupies the only available slot.

For data storage, a 500 GB Seagate Momentus ST500LT012-1DG142 hard drive with a spindle speed of 5400 rpm, connected via SATA III, is offered. It is not the flagship among HDDs in terms of operating speed, since the minimum and maximum read speed thresholds are 19.7 MB/s and 111.4 MB/s, respectively, but this is enough for everyday work. The access time is 19.1 ms.

This is confirmed by the comparative graph, in which the Dell Inspiron 11 looks decent compared to its competitors.

Comprehensive tests of PC Mark 7 and PC Mark 8 proved that we are dealing with a low-performance system that is designed for simple tasks. Thus, in PC Mark 7 it scored 1689 points; the drive's operating speed was rated worst of all - here 322 points.

In PC Mark 8, where the speed of working with text applications, in video chats, web surfing, etc., our laptop earned 1452 points. More detailed information is presented in the screenshot below.

Games

It is completely predictable that the Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) is not suitable for games, except for very simple ones - the presence of built-in graphics explains everything. Definitely, the lungs will go here tablet games for Windows, for example, the well-known Angry Birds. We also installed two undemanding PC games - StarCraft II and FIFA (2014). Both versions were run at the laptop's native resolution and with low graphics settings. As a result, in StarCraft II we have 36 fps, in FIFA (2014) – 47 fps. The gameplay was comfortable and was not accompanied by slowdowns.

Ports and communications

There are not so many connectors in the laptop. On the right are the control buttons - turning on the laptop and adjusting the volume; they are quite small and very hard to press. Also found here are USB 2.0, an SD card slot, a Kensington lock slot, and a speaker grille.

On the left side there is a grille for the second speaker, a combined audio jack, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, HDMI and a socket for the charger connector.

On the front bevel in the far right area is the battery charging indicator. There is a ventilation grille at the rear. However, it is worth noting that when using the device as a tablet in portrait orientation, hot air comes out straight into your hand, which is not very pleasant.

Apart from Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0, combined in the Atheros AR9565 module, the Dell Inspiron 3147 does not provide anything.

Heat and noise

Our hopes that the Dell Inspiron 11 (3147) should not get very hot, since it is equipped with a low-power processor with a low TDP, were justified. Even under load, the case remains cool, with the exception of the space to the left and right of the ventilation grille, where it feels warm. During idle, the case temperature rose to a maximum of 32.8 degrees Celsius in the upper left part, the minimum was 22.8 degrees Celsius.
