Another case is when you decide to go on a trip abroad, then you will need to add a map to the Navitel GPS navigator.

There may be other cases, but we will not consider them, since the article is about something else.

Ways to add a map to Navitel GPS navigator

Method 1. Well, you have installed the navigator and are going to add a map to the Navitel GPS navigator. Before adding a map, you must first launch the navigator; it will create all the folders it needs on the device’s memory. After launching, it will immediately ask you to specify the path to the folder with the map in it. But in order not to accidentally delete the map, I suggest placing it in the navigator folder, so click the “Exit” button.

Next, using the file manager, take the desired card and slip it into the program at the following address: Device memory (Phone storage)/NavitelContent/Maps. There are cases when the phone's memory is divided into two parts: internal and sdcard0. In this case, the address will be slightly different: Device memory/sdcard0/NavitelContent/Maps. Now we launch our Navitel and enjoy the application, it will no longer ask for the path to the folder.

It is very common that the memory of smartphones is very small, most often this occurs on budget options smartphones. In this case, this method will not work, then see method 2.

Method 2. In cases where there is not enough space in the device memory to install cards, then you need to place the card in any directory (so that you remember and do not delete it). Then launch the application and start adding a map to the Navitel GPS navigator. If the navigator does not yet have maps, then when launched, the window shown in Figure 1 will open, and click the “Add atlas” button. But if you have one connected, then this window will not appear. In any case, you need to add a map to the Navitel GPS navigator; to do this, go to the application settings.

Here you need to specify the full path to the map. The Navitel GPS navigator sees the entire memory of the device, including the system memory, so some inexperienced users may have difficulties due to a lack of understanding of how to select smartphone memory or a memory card. As soon as you click the “Add atlas” button, you will see big list folders in system memory devices. In order to get into the phone memory or flash drive, you should open the “mnt” folder. There you will find the device memory and flash card.

There have been cases when the flash card was not displayed in this folder; in such cases, you should return to the top level and enter the “storage” folder. The “storage” folder displays only the device memory and memory card.

Hello everyone. Today I will tell you how to finally install maps on your phone or navigator. Android control OS. Before this, I already told you how to link cards so that you can carry out transactions using them satellite navigation. Some “merchants” do this for a fee, although there is nothing difficult about it and every metal detector enthusiast can handle it. This article is also useful for hunters and fishermen.

First, we need to download and install the OziExplorer 1.21 application on the phone. It seems to be the most a new version, supports ozf4 card format. You can download this application from this link.

After installing the application, download the already linked maps to the device. It is advisable to upload them along this path: sdcard0/OziExplorer/Maps. I’ll tell you why this is needed later. But you can upload them to any other folder at your discretion.

Now we launch the application for more comfortable work Let's change the language from English to Russian. To do this, press the menu button on the device. Usually it is marked with an icon in the form of several horizontal stripes on top of each other :). Click on “Main menu”. Then “Select Langauge File”. Now we have a small file manager, where we need to select the language file. His path: sdcard0/Oziexplorer/russian_2.azl. Click on it and exit the ozik. Now let's run it again. Voila, the Russian language has appeared.

Next, by pressing the Menu button, we go to the Main Menu, where we go to Settings. There we click on Basic settings. There we have to select the character code page for the data. We need this to correctly display Russian symbols on the map (waypoints for example). We need the encoding "Windows CP1251 - Cyrillic".

Here we can select the folder where maps with references are stored. By default, the program uses sdcard0/OziExplorer/Maps. If your maps are stored in a different folder, you can move them to the folder that Ozik uses or change the folder. To do this, click the “Path to map files” button. Here you choose the folder where you threw the cards.

Now that all the settings are set, go to main screen programs where it is displayed General Map peace. Don't worry, you won't have to navigate this map :)

In order to display the map on the screen, press the “Menu” button on the device, in the list that opens, click “Load map.” The file manager again appears, where you select the desired card and click on its name. And yes, the folder that you set in the settings opens immediately. You won't need to look for it on your phone :)

As a result, an image of a map and a red arrow should appear on your screen indicating your location on this map.

Try moving your finger across the screen. The card doesn't move? To enable scrolling (to move the map), click the red arrow in the bottom line. By doing this, we have disabled tracking and tracking, but we can look at the map sheet. To turn tracking back on, click on the red arrow again.

This application has quite some functionality, which I still haven’t fully understood :). However, instructions on how to use this program will be published periodically.

To check whether the version of Agent installed on yours supports working with maps, try, while in the contact list, press several times right button joystick.
