A connection to the server cannot be established. Cannot establish a reliable connection to the Google Play server - what to do

Most people encounter problems with Google services, one of the most common is a connection problem in the popular Google Play service. After reading hundreds of tips and scouring the Internet in search of the cause, many still cannot find a solution.

One of the initial steps towards solving this problem is a specialized program called Freedom. It was created to make purchases of resources within the "" application. This method of eliminating the problem is that if you previously installed this program, but then deleted it, everything can be returned by installing it again. So, download the Freedom program, install it, open it, click “Stop”, then close it and delete it again. If this method does not bring any results, you need to move on to the second method.

Solving the problem: Could not establish a reliable connection to the server

In this method of eliminating the error, we go along the path /system/ect and look for the file “ Hosts" Open this file in a text editor and add “127.0.0.1 localhost”. To save the settings of this operation, you need to remount /system in r/w mode or use AdAway to restore the standard hosts.

Probably most users have the popular program “”. In the third method, you need to log into your GMail account through this client. In most cases, this is the method that works, but if this time nothing works, you can try the fourth method.

date and time can play an important role in mobile devices based on Android; the reason for the incorrect connection may be hidden in the incorrectly set date and time. Try resetting your date and time settings. If this does not help you, move on to point 5.

The fifth method is to reflash Hard Reset. Do not forget that in this case absolutely all data from your mobile device will be lost, so it is better to make a backup copy of the system in advance.

You can find all the necessary information about firmware for your specific gadget on the website

There is probably not a young person in Russia who has not heard about World of Tanks, a real-time online game in the genre of an arcade tank simulator based on the Second World War. The exciting gameplay, combining shooter, strategy and role-playing at the same time, has attracted millions of fans around the world. As a result, Tanks became the most popular online game in 2012, 2013 and 2014. And even now interest in her does not wane. Unfortunately, sometimes problems occur with the game, due to which World of Tanks won't start and gamers are sad. So, so that they would not be upset, I made this post. The fact is that usually Tanks do not work due to one of a certain number of the most common reasons, which I will now talk about.

1. Tanks do not start

You click on the shortcut, but nothing happens - zero reaction.
To begin diagnostics, you need to check whether the launcher is working - a special utility that launches all software modules. To do this, go to the folder with the installed game (usually C:\Games\World of Tanks) and run the executable file in it worldoftanks.exe. Here he is:

If the game starts after that, then that is the problem. The bootloader-launcher is called WoTLauncher.exe and lies in the same folder:

It may not work because it is blocked by the computer's security system. This happens because proactive defense sees that some application is constantly accessing the Internet and downloading something. This behavior seems suspicious and the application is blocked. Try temporarily disabling your antivirus and checking the game.

Note:

In some cases, the antivirus may skip the launcher, but delete the game file itself. Then a warning will be issued - “The game cannot be started. The file worldoftanks.exe is missing"

In this case, you will need to go to the antivirus settings, restore the deleted file from quarantine and add it to the exceptions.

Common causes of game launch errors:

If Tanks don’t even launch directly, remember what you did before with the game or computer.

— Very often the cause of the crash is new mods. There will be a res_mods directory in the WoT folder. You need to clear its contents and try to run the program again.

— Maybe you updated your drivers or DirectX?! In this case, you should try to roll back to an older version or use a Windows restore point, which will allow you to return to the previous state of the operating system.

— Check that the drivers for your video card (Nvidia, Radeon) and DirectX are up to date. Update them if there are new versions.

— For the game to work properly, the Visual C++ 2015 library package must be installed on your computer and .NET Framework version 4.0. Without them, it may also not start or produce various errors.

— Try completely reinstalling the game. Delete the existing copy, then download the installer from the official website and install the game on your PC again.

If you installed the game for the first time and World of Tanks does not start, check whether your computer meets the system requirements:

At least 36 GB of free disk space. - at least 2 GB of RAM. - minimum Internet speed 256 Kbps. - video cards from GeForce 6800 / ATI HD 2400 XT with 256 MB of memory. - DirectX not older than 9.0c. - Dual-core processor supporting SSE2 technology.

Script errors when starting World of Tanks

This kind of malfunction occurs in the browser due to the fact that the game is unable to run a script, without which it cannot work.
Typically, the cause of a script error is the operating system's security. Roughly speaking, the antivirus blocks the operation of scripts and scripts, regarding them as unsafe. Therefore, try deactivating your antivirus software for a while and check the game’s operation.

If World of Tanks still does not start with a script error, try updating your browser; perhaps you are using a fairly old version that does not handle interaction with game files correctly.

Do not forget that as a result of software or even hardware failures, the scripts themselves can be damaged. A complete reinstallation of the game usually helps.

Worlds of Tanks client update error

Avid tankers have encountered update errors in Tanks at least once.

The reasons for the WoT update error are as follows:
— The server with game updates is unavailable
— Problems with Internet access
— Error with updates to certain mods or a certain game configuration.
To eliminate the first two reasons, you will have to “kick” the technical support of your provider. But in order to remove the glitch associated with mods, you will have to try to remove the game mods, as I said earlier, and see the result.
In some cases, again, only reinstalling the program can save you.

Error D3DX9_43.DLL, XC000007B, 0x00000003, etc.

All errors when starting World of Tanks related to system files and libraries are the result of problems that have arisen in the Windows operating system itself. For example, the D3DX9_43.DLL error usually means DirectX has failed, while the XC000007B error is associated with corruption of system files or changes in settings.

The same can happen if a virus is in control of the system.
My advice here is this: check the OS with a good antivirus - DrWeb CureIT or Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool, then install the latest version of DirectX and update the drivers for the video card.

Game recovery

If the launcher loads without problems, but the Tanks game itself does not start, then there is another option that is integrated by the developers. To use it, go to Settings and go to the Support tab.

There will be a “Check” button here. By clicking on it, we will start the process of checking the integrity of the game files. If a problem is detected, the file will be restored.

P.S.: If none of my advice helped you, then do not forget that the game has an excellent support service that can also help you. You just need to correctly describe the problem and prepare several screenshots that will display the World of Tanks launch error. After that, go to the official website in the “Support” section and create a new request.

Many people have problems adding an account in the Google Play catalog, namely, when logging in, they receive the error “A reliable connection to the server could not be established.” How to solve it and what causes it? Read more in our article.

Freedom

In most cases, the source of the problem is a pirated program that allows you to download paid content for free for applications and games on Google Play. If you previously installed Freedom, but then uninstalled it and after that the error “Could not establish a reliable connection to the server” appeared, then you can solve the problem like this:
  1. Download and install Freedom again.
  2. Open the program.
  3. Click “Stop”.
  4. Next, close Freedom and remove it from the device.
If this does not help, then move on to another method, which works in most cases.

Changing Hosts

If you used Freedom, but the method of installing and uninstalling the program did not help you, then you need to change the Hosts file in the system. For this you also need a file manager:
  1. Open Root Explorer and select R/W (read / write; change files) rights.
  2. Go to the folder /system/etc/.
  3. We find the file there Hosts and open it in a text editor.
  4. Delete all the text and add a line 127.0.0.1 localhost.
The same can be done in simpler ways:
  1. Restore the original Hosts file using the .
  2. Just delete the Hosts file - it will be restored on its own and in its original form.
If you are not going to use AdAway, then it is better to remove all applications that block ads - they can also cause the error.

YouTube

The problem can often be solved in every Android device. For this:
  1. Launch the YouTube application.
  2. Open the context menu with the button on the device body.
  3. Click on “Log in to your account”.
  4. Enter your Google account information and log in.
After this, you should reboot the device.

You can also use an application that forcibly adds a Google account to the Android operating system.

date and time

The cause of the error “A reliable connection to the server could not be established” may also be due to incorrectly set date and time on the device. Try setting the date and time manually, or synchronize it with your mobile operator. This often helps.

Firmware and hard reset

If all the previous methods did not help, then you can do a Hard Reset of the device - software (through settings) or hardware. A soft reset can be found in the settings of any device (“Factory reset”). A hard hard reset by pressing certain hardware buttons is done differently for all devices - you can find out about this on the Internet.

You can also install another firmware on your smartphone, or reinstall the original one manually. Another similar method is to install the free GApps package through recovery. Before hard reset and other extreme ways to solve Google Play problem Be sure to back up your device.

  • Insert another SIM card into your device and add a Google account.
  • Run the Initial Device Setup Wizard.
  • Turn off two-factor authentication in your Google account.
  • Turn off Google Play and Google Play Services in the application menu, delete data, turn on and restart your device.

“Unable to establish a network connection in WoT. The server may be unavailable or your network connection settings may need to be checked." Does this message sound familiar to you? Then this is the place for you. This message can occur for a hundred reasons.

You must clearly understand the decoding of this message. Although there is nothing special to understand here. Tanks swear that you either do not have the Internet, or the client for some reason cannot find a connection to the game server. That is, you launched the client, which in turn tries to go online and search for its server at a pre-known IP address, but the server does not respond to it and accordingly an error message is displayed. Next, for clarity, let’s look at exactly how the procedure for connecting to the game server goes:

  • Game client on your PC(trying to connect to the server goes through) ->
  • windows firewall(if installed), if the firewall allows the connection, then ->
  • antivirus(if installed) asks the game client, “Where are you going? What if you’re somehow different” and if it gets the go-ahead from the antivirus, then ->
  • connection signal passes to your PC's network card ->
  • Further, router(hub, switch, router or whatever else you have) ->
  • then, provider(there is a mountain of equipment there, we won’t go into that) ->
  • and as a result myself game server.

Now, I hope, everyone understands the scheme by which it is necessary to find the problem that prevents the client from connecting to the server. Let's move on...

By the way, in more detail about the connection router -> provider -> game server I talked about it in the article “High ping in wot - there is a solution”, because... this equipment largely affects the “lags and freezes” in the game. If you have a very high ping, then you are welcome to read it.

Can't establish a network connection in WoT

How are we going to fight?!
BUT, the very first step will be entering the wargaming portal itself dedicated to tanks. Welcome! What if some work is currently going on on the servers? The developers inform you about this in advance and even describe the time during which the servers will be unavailable, and they post all this on their website, so don’t be shy and go in.

Next we follow the “scheme”. After the game client, the first obstacle is the firewall. Disable it (instructions) and try to enter the game. Happened? Congratulations! Play with the firewall disabled or read the article below.

So, we have identified the culprit. Now you need to open the ports and create rules for this little thing (Windows firewall). But first, let's do the same thing only in automatic mode.

Let's go download .bat file from the wargaming server:

  • archive for Windows XP;
  • archive for Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10;

It's not a virus, don't worry. You can open it with Notepad ++ and make sure. Here are its contents:

@ECHO OFF
set Arg1=»%~d0%~p0WorldOfTanks.exe»
set Arg2=»%~d0%~p0WoTLauncher.exe»
IF NOT EXIST %Arg2% GOTO errorwotl
netsh firewall add allowedprogram %Arg2% WoTLauncher enable all
netsh firewall add portopening udp 20010-20020,32800-32900,12000-29999,5060,5062,3478,3479,3432,30443,53,6881-7881,1900 wot-udp enable
netsh firewall add portopening tcp 80,443,5222,5223,6881-7881 wot-tcp enable
IF NOT EXIST %Arg1% GOTO errorwot
netsh firewall add allowedprogram %Arg1% WorldOfTanks enable all
chcp 1251 >NUL
set text_y="WorldOfTanks.exe" and "WoTLauncher.exe" were successfully added to the firewall exception list.
chcp 866 >NUL
echo %text_y%
GOTO exit
:errorwotl
chcp 1251 >NUL
set text=Failed to find file "WoTLauncher". Make sure the file is located in the game client folder.
chcp 866 >NUL
echo %text%
GOTO exit
:errorwot
chcp 1251 >NUL
set text_l="WoTLauncher" was successfully added to the firewall exception list. The file "WorldOfTanks.exe" could not be found. Make sure your game client is updated to the latest version.
chcp 866 >NUL
echo %text_l%
:exit
PAUSE

Now launch the game and try to connect to any server. So how? Works? We defeated the message “Unable to establish a network connection in WoT”, HURRAY! Let's go play and don't worry about anything else! If it doesn’t work, then let’s do everything manually.

In order for the message “Unable to establish a network connection in WoT” to no longer appear, it is necessary that some ports are open in the firewall for the launcher and the game client, here they are:

For WorldOfTanks.exe:
- UDP ranges from 32 800 to 32 900, from 20 010 to 20 020 and UDP port 53;
- TCP ports 80, 443.

For voice chat to work, it is also necessary for WorldOfTanks.exe to open the UDP range from 12,000 to 29,999 and ports 5060, 5062, 3478, 3479, 3432, 30443.
For text chat to work, WorldOfTanks.exe must open TCP ports 5222 and 5223.

In addition, you can allow WorldOfTanks.exe to use the UDP protocol and the TCP protocol on any ports in both directions, thus allowing the firewall to pass any packets to any addresses for the game client.

For WOTLauncher.exe need to open:
-UDP ports 53, 6881, 1900.
-TCP ports 80, 443, 6881.

Instructions for setting up the Windows firewall.

Well, how did it work out? If YES, then I’m happy for you. Well, if not, then don’t despair and read on...

The next obstacle to connecting to the server is the antivirus. If you don’t have it, then skip this paragraph.
Try adding the game folder to the trusted zone of your antivirus. BUT before that, check your computer for viruses.
Everyone’s antivirus is different, which is why the development team wrote a whole book with instructions for you and me, the link to which I provide here. (Many thanks to them for their titanic work)
How to add a game client to the antivirus exclusion list.

You can also (but not necessarily) add a list of server IP addresses.

Servers RU1–RU9:
92.223.19.1 - 92.223.19.255
92.223.8.1 - 92.223.8.255
92.223.1.1 - 92.223.1.255
92.223.12.1 - 92.223.12.255
92.223.18.1 - 92.223.18.255
92.223.4.1 - 92.223.4.255
92.223.10.1 - 92.223.10.255
92.223.14.1 - 92.223.14.255
92.223.36.1 - 92.223.36.255
185.12.240.1 - 185.12.240.255
185.12.242.1 - 185.12.242.255
Range of addresses required for the launcher and portal to work:
185.12.241.1 - 185.12.241.255.
Ranges of server addresses required for voice communication:
64.94.253.1 - 64.94.253.255
74.201.99.1 - 74.201.99.255

In some cases, disabling the antivirus and firewall does not solve the problem - the ports remain closed.

Here either the network connection is faulty, or herself Windows already horses moves By the way, this may cause lags and slowdowns in the game. A separate article has been written on how to deal with them. Now let's try to reset the TCP/IP network settings and all sockets from the Windows command line using the command "netsh winsock reset".

Launch the command line:

– For Windows XP: Click Start > Run. In the window that opens, enter cmd.exe and click OK.

– For Windows Vista and Windows 7: click Start, type cmd in the “Start Search” field, right-click on the cmd.exe file and select “Run as administrator.”

– For Windows 8: on the desktop, press the key combination Win+X. In the menu that opens, select “Command Prompt (Administrator).”

Enter the command at the command line netsh winsock reset and press Enter.

Now all that remains is to restart the computer.

There are a lot of complaints from players about an error in connecting to World of Tanks. In this material we will tell you how to solve the connection problem in three different ways and will dwell on each in detail. The solution is suitable for those who receive the following error when connecting to tanks:

Cannot connect to server

  • The server may be unavailable or your network connection settings may need to be checked.

Problem with connection in tanks

The player himself writes the following about this error:

It also doesn’t connect to the test server, I play other games without any problems, I sit in the TS, I write on the forum, the updates to the test server have been downloaded and installed, but I can’t log into the game. There are no mods.

Solution

Option 1.

According to our data, this problem occurs among those players who use xDSL technology (ADSL 2+) and a high-speed modem to connect to the Internet. Immediately after the previous patch, the World of Tanks server began cutting off tankers with an unstable network connection from the game. All cases spoke specifically about a modem connection, which, by the way, is high-speed and is not inferior in stability to ETTx and even xPON technology, if no more than 300 meters of copper pair are laid from the player’s computer to the PBX. However, ADSL is capable of providing Internet access over distances of several kilometers (here the connection quality drops sharply).

Solution for option 1. If you use ADSL, try to consider alternative options for Internet access using more stable technologies PON (optics to the PC) or ETTH (fiber to the home with branching to users using RJ-45 twisted pair cable).

Option 2.

These are, of course, the network settings of your personal computer, which are what the error in connecting to tanks refers to. This primarily includes setting up a router, NAT, giving connection permissions to the worldoftanks.exe file in firewalls and adding firewall exceptions. Also opening the ports used to connect to WOT.

Solution for option 2. Places to look to check your network connection settings if the server is unavailable include:

  1. Settings for the network card used and adapter parameters (DNS, IP address, TCP/IP gateway).
  2. Network connection settings. Namely: the shortcut through which you connect to the Internet (relevant for bridging connections); web interface of the router or modem at the address: http://192.168.1.1 with login admin and password admin (relevant for PPoE connections).
  3. Firewall settings built into the antivirus. This is done through the antivirus management program. Add an exception to block connections to the World of Tanks server for the executable file of the same name with the .exe extension from the game folder.
  4. Windows Firewall Settings. Here you should also allow establishing a connection to the World of Tanks server by adding an exception for the game.
  5. Network group settings (home, public and others).

Option 3

This is a rare but important situation that can cause an error in which a connection to the server cannot be established. This includes blocking the IP address of the player on the World of Tanks server you are trying to connect to. The MAC address (the hardware address that identifies the device on the network) may also be blocked.

Solution for option 3. We recommend changing the static IP address assigned to you from your provider. If you have a dynamic IP address, all you need to do is reconnect the Internet for your IP address to change to a new one. In the case of blocking by MAC address, you will have to contact Wargaming with a request to unlock the MAC of your network card, modem or PC (unless, of course, you are going to change them or use another computer, modem, router and network card to connect to World of Tanks ).
