Checking servers

Check to see if your PlayStation™Network Online ID is linked to your EA Account.

Find out which accounts are linked to your EA Account by logging into the Origin client.

  1. Sign in to origin.com.
  2. Click on your avatar and then click on the item EA Account and Payments.
  3. Scroll down to title Connected accounts on the tab About me. Here you will find all accounts connected to your EA Account.

Make sure your system has the latest update installed.

First of all, make sure that the game and PlayStation are updated to the latest version.

You can find information about the latest software and instructions for updating your PlayStation at playstation.com:

Restart PlayStation

  • If you are using PlayStation 4 (PS4) or PS4 Pro, hold down the power button on the front panel until you hear a double beep. Unplug the cord from the outlet, then disconnect it from the system. Wait 30 seconds, then reconnect power.
  • If you are using PlayStation 3 (PS3), hold down the power button for 30 seconds. The PlayStation system will beep three times and then turn off. Unplug the power cord, wait a few seconds and then reconnect the power and start the system.

Do you have a PlayStation®Plus?

If you're playing on PS4, you'll need to have PlayStation®Plus to access the game's online features.

Not sure if you have a Plus subscription? If you see a gold plus next to your account name when you connect to PlayStation, you are a subscriber.

Check error codes

If you see an error code when connecting to a game, search the Sony database for information about the error and possible fixes.

  1. Go to the PlayStation Support site.
  2. Click All help.
  3. Select the PlayStation system you are playing on.
  4. Enter in the search field error code (including hyphens).
  5. Click enter key.

Check for corrupted downloaded files or update files.

Sometimes corrupted downloaded files or update files stored on your system can create problems. To eliminate this possibility, delete these files for the game you want to connect to and then try again.

Deleting these files may affect your progress in some games. Enable saving files to cloud storage on your system so you always have backups of your files.

PlayStation 3

  1. Click the button PS on the controller to open the PS3 XrossMediaBar™ (XMB™) menu.
  2. Go to the tab A game.
  3. Select Game data management utility and press the button X.
  4. Find and delete all game data and squad and squad lists.

PlayStation 4 or PlayStation Pro

  1. Click the button PS
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Manage saved application data.
  4. Select Saved data in system memory.
  5. Select Delete.
  6. Select the game you can't connect to.
  7. Delete all game data and lists of squads and team compositions.

If you play online sports games, online lineups are automatically loaded before the match begins.

If you are playing on PS3, try disabling the media server.

Connecting to a media server allows you to connect various devices to your PS3. If there is a problem with this connection, other connections in the system may be affected.

To eliminate this potential source of the problem, we recommend disabling the media server.

  1. Click the button PS on the controller to open the XMB™ menu.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Select Network settings.
  4. Select Connecting to a media server And turn off option.

Then try connecting to the game again.

Check your network connection

Opening the ports will help redirect the flow of traffic from the Internet, allowing you to connect faster.

Don't know how to open or forward a port? Contact your internet service provider for assistance.

Check your Internet Protocol (IPv) version

Do you often lose connection in peer-to-peer settings such as FIFA drafts? Your network may be using newer IPv6 IP addresses instead of IPv4.

IPv4 addresses are considered more traditional and standard. How to find the difference:

  • IP addresses with IPv4 protocol are numbers separated by dots, for example 192.168.1.1
  • IP addresses with IPv6 protocol are combinations of numbers and letters separated by a colon, for example 2001:0db8:85a3:0000:0000:8a2e:0370:7334

IPv6 and IPv4 do not yet work well together for peer-to-peer connections. If your connection drops every time you play with or join a game with one of your friends, you or your opponent may be using different versions of the protocol.

Your ISP can help you change the version of your router software or hardware if you decide to change the protocol version to IPv4.

Activate UPnP

How does the UPnP feature work?

Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) allows your router to automatically discover and manage connections from all devices on your network. When a device connects to your network, it will be assigned an IP address and will be able to communicate with other devices inside and outside your network. The UPnP feature is especially important for games that use peer-to-peer connections.

UPnP activation

Check your router settings to see if UPnP is enabled.

Help is needed? Your ISP can tell you how to open your router settings and enable UPnP.

Check your NAT settings

What is NAT?

NAT stands for Network Address Translation and is used to manage the IP addresses of devices on your network. With the “strict” type of NAT, all devices on the network are assigned one IP address, which means that connecting several devices at the same time will be difficult.

An IP address can be compared to a telephone number. The "open" type of NAT allows each device to have its own unique number. With the "strict" type of NAT, only one phone number is used for the entire network.

With a "strict" NAT type, if one device connects to the game, the network becomes busy. No other device will be able to connect to this game until the first one disconnects. This means you have to wait for someone to hang up before you can call.

If you are using a system and a "medium" or "strict" NAT, you will also have trouble connecting to other players in games like FIFA because you will be limited by their NAT type.

  • In case of NAT type 1 (open) you can connect to any type of NAT, giving you the greatest range of options. This type of NAT provides an optimal connection to the network.
  • In case of NAT type 2 (medium) you can only connect to players with NAT type 2 or 1. You may also have difficulty communicating with voice and matchmaking will be slower.
  • In case of NAT type 3 (strict) You can only connect to players with NAT Type 1. This means you'll likely wait longer for your turn during matchmaking, and your voice options will be severely limited.

How to check NAT type?

  • PlayStation 3: select Settings, then Network settings and run Checking the connection. The test results will show the NAT protocol type.
  • PlayStation 4: go to the section Settings, then Net, then Connection status. The NAT type will be indicated at the bottom of the screen.

How to change NAT type?

Two basic steps to set less restrictive NAT restrictions:

Changing NAT type on PlayStation:

  1. Find out how to connect to your router.
    • Don't know how? Contact your Internet service provider or read your router's instruction manual.
  2. Find the function UPnP activation in the router.
  3. Open the following ports in both directions - TCP and UDP:
    • 3478-3480
    • 6000-7000
    • 10070-10080

These instructions will help you fix major problems.

Option Multiplayer Peer-to-peer network Multiple devices on the same network UPnP enabled ✓ ✓ ✓ UPnP disabled ✓ ✓ ✓ NAT Type 1 (Open) ✓ ✓ ✓ NAT Type 2 (Medium) ✓ Restricted X NAT Type 3 (Strict) ✓ Strictly Restricted X

If you have followed all the instructions and would like further help fixing the issues, please contact us.

There is a trend in the gaming industry to create services that allow users to access various digital content. Sony is no exception; it has a large number of online services. Developing a service-specific update for every console would not be practical or cost-effective. Therefore, it was decided to combine all current services into one common system - PlayStation Network or PSN for short.

The official PSN website is playstation.com.

The most popular services on PSN are PlayStation Store, PlayStation Plus.

PSN Store is online game store and other content. In addition to purchasing games, the user can also view games and films he already owns or evaluate future new products.

PlayStation Plus distributed by paid subscription. By paying for a subscription, the user receives many different bonuses - these include game giveaways, good discounts on some new products, and most importantly, the ability to play online for PlayStation 4 owners. Unfortunately, online play on PS 4 is not available without paying for a subscription.

What is psn network id

The Online ID is the name that players who play with you will see. The choice of nickname should be approached thoroughly, because it cannot be changed later. When creating an online ID, you need to be original, because... The nickname that was chosen may already be taken.

Playstation network not working

As mentioned above, PSN gives the user a wide range of opportunities and is very frustrating when problems with the service appear. The connection to the PlayStation Network can be lost at any time, even in the middle of an important match, which is even more frustrating.

Internet problems

The most common problem with PSN not working is incorrect settings or lack of Internet. But before you go into the router settings, you need to check does the internet work? on other devices. If other devices work stably, but you can’t connect only the set-top box, you should look for problems in the router.

Although there may be problems in the console itself. May be port damaged Ethernet or Wi-Fi module. To check this, just connect the set-top box through a different interface. For example, if the connection was via Wi-Fi, try connecting via local network.

Router malfunctions

Before going into the router settings, check the Internet cable to see if it is active and if the set-top box is working via Wi-Fi.

Access to the PlayStation Network may not be possible due to incorrect router settings, namely an incorrect MTU value. How to change this parameter:

DNS problems

Incorrect DNS may prevent you from logging into PSN. To solve this problem, you should go to the router settings (described above) and follow these steps:

Problems on the PSN side

Unfortunately, the PlayStation Network is not famous for its stability and sometimes servers fail. Faced with such a problem, the user can only wait until specialists “raise” the PSN server. In this case, usually the PS Store and Plus also do not work and are not available.

You can check the status (PSN status) of the servers using the link: status.playstation.com

On the site you can see how stable a particular service or the entire service as a whole is working today.

Account problems

You should also check the service account itself; to do this, try logging into your account on the PlayStation website using a computer.

Common Error Codes

If the user is unable to sign in to PlayStation Network, the user may receive an error code. Using these codes you can determine and eliminate the cause:

  • CE328070. The error occurs when there are problems with the license. If it occurs, you need to go to settings, remove the license, then activate it again.
  • CE329206. The error is related to loading previously canceled content. To resolve this, you should check the availability of content in a specific game. If no such objects were found, restart the console.
  • CE337430, CE339454. The code indicates problems connecting to the servers. You need to go to the site with the status of the servers and check if they are working.
  • CE339836, CE339847. Codes that appear when a test Internet connection fails. You need to try to reconnect. Perhaps the servers are undergoing maintenance work.
  • CE348612. Connection to servers failed. If the error appears constantly, you need to check the SLL.
  • E800085D1. There is also a code notifying you that it is impossible to connect to the server.
  • E82000163. The address indicated on the account does not match the address on the credit card. This can only be solved via a browser.
  • E82F001F7, NP350008. Maintenance work on PlayStation Network servers
  • NP319520. You need to check your Internet connection; if the error persists, you should check your router settings.
  • NW311948. Inability to connect to the network. You should check the status of the servers on the website. Check the stability of the Internet connection and router settings.
  • NW312006. Error when trying to update the software. You need to try updating the software of the set-top box using a PC using a USB cable.

Common mistakes

Errors without a number may also occur. Let's look at the main ones.

An error occurred while processing the order. Please try again later

To solve this, just go to the PS Store from the console itself and buy the necessary content from there.

There is a problem when the user can't buy desired game because he already has a demo version of this game installed. Unfortunately, in such cases there is only one solution - calling technical support. PSN technical support phone number is 8 800 200 7667 (Russia).

Data cannot be used

This situation arises due to the fact that free access to certain games is provided by subscriptionPSPlus. And accordingly, if the subscription has expired, then there will be no access to the games. Also, the publisher may have removed a particular game from the PS Plus subscription and it is no longer available.

Access denied on PSN

If this error appears, you should check router settings, if everything is fine with them, you need to call your provider and ask them to change your IP address. The problem arises when the provider issues an IP address that is banned on the PlayStation Network and to restore operation it is enough to change it.

Missed PSN transactions

The problem is very old and is impossibility of paying with a card. The fastest way to solve this is to go to the site through a browser and make a deposit in any way. But you can also contact technical support. 8 800 200 7667 (Russia).

“Why can’t I connect to PSN?”, “Why am I being kicked off the network?” and other similar questions are increasingly asked by PS4 and PS3 owners. Sometimes the problem lies in the Sony servers themselves and then all you can do is wait. However, in most cases, network problems can be resolved on your own. In this article, we will analyze typical problems with PSN and offer methods to solve them.

Read about how to solve the problem with access to PSN due to Roskomnadzor blocking.

Problems with the PSN network

The most common problem is the crash of the PlayStation Network itself. If during connection an error code CE-33991-5 is displayed, then the problem is most likely on Sony's part. You can check the PSN status on the official page: https://status.playstation.com/ru-RU/. The site is updated regularly, and also indicates the specific cause of the problem at the moment. It also indicates possible problems with playing certain online games, trophy synchronization, and the availability of other online features. If the service has really crashed, then all you can do is wait until Sony itself fixes the problem.

This is what a typical PSN status should look like

If the page does not show any problems, then the PS4 has problems with the Internet. Go to “Settings” > “Network” > “Test Internet connection” and do everything according to the instructions. If the connection fails, unplug your network router and modem for a couple of minutes, and turn off your PS4. Then turn on the modem, router and finally the console. Run the connection test again - the problem should be resolved.

Lag during online play

After connecting to PSN, you may experience lag while playing some online games. Usually the reason is a bad Wi-Fi connection. In this case, move the router closer to the console. If there is a wall or floor between the set-top box and the device, the obstacle will delay the speed and strength of the signal.

This is a good internet speed for online gaming

If the solution does not help, you should try a wired connection to the console via an Ethernet cable. This will take more time and you will need to run a cable from the modem to the console, but a cable connection eliminates most problems with PSN, including lag and disconnection during online battles.

In addition, you may need to change your tariff to a faster connection. Before calling your provider, try the above methods. At the same time, none of the network users should load the connection - stream video online or download a large file.

How to fix PSN problem with code CE-35239-2

Just download the latest firmware update. To access the network capabilities of PSN, an official update from Sony is required. Not necessarily the latest version - more or less recent firmware will allow you to run online games.

To download the file, go to Settings > System Software Update and follow the instructions exactly.

Error on PSN with code CE-34452-8

Another common error for PSN users. This means that the download data may have been corrupted, and in this case the game will not be able to launch. There is a simple solution to the problem in three steps:

erase damaged content from the console and reboot the console. Go to the “Library” and download the data again.

go to internet settings. If you access a different connection, try it. Changing to a static IP or changing the DNS server may help.

The load on the network was heavy, and the problem arose again. Go to Settings > Initialization > Initialize PS4. Be careful - all data and settings are deleted from the console during initialization, so make sure they are safe before selecting this option.

Can't log into PSN

If the “PSN login failed” icon or code CE-33992-6 appears, this means that the Sony servers are undergoing maintenance. In this case, all you have to do is wait. Check the network status on the official page and follow the Sony Twitter for updates.

Can't sync prize data with PSN

It’s a pity if the “platinum” earned with sweat and blood suddenly evaporates

If there is an error with your trophies or your online trophy data is corrupted, you will need to manually sync your data with PlayStation Network. Open Trophies, and select Sync with PlayStation Network from the OPTIONS button menu. After this, restart your PlayStation 4. Another option in a few steps:

upload your backup save to a flash drive or PSN server. Erase the current user and create a new one.

Log in as a new user, return your save files from backup and synchronize your prizes again.

if the problem persists, initialize the PS4. Attention: all data will be deleted and settings will be reset - backup is required.

I can't log into the network after updating (error code E-801809A8)

The fact is that you did not agree to the new terms of use. Go to Settings > Account Management > Sign In and a screen with the new rules should appear. Check the box and the network will become available to you again.

Common decision

If the problem is not in the list, then rebooting your network devices may help. Unplug your modem and router, and turn off your PS4. Leave them for five minutes. Then turn on, in order, the modem, router and PS4. Try connecting to the network again.

We hope you found the article useful and you can enjoy online gaming again. You can buy more multiplayer games for PlayStation 4 in the store.

Playstation Network (PSN), despite its popularity, quite often receives negative feedback from gamers all over the world. Some of the complaints are indeed justified - it’s worth remembering the famous three-week server outage that occurred in 2011. It just so happens that PSN is almost always associated with poor speed, endless updates and

With the Playstation Network, players can enjoy online gaming, buy digital copies of games from the PSStore, and do a number of other things. It is not surprising that connection problems and other errors greatly frustrate users and disrupt important gaming matches.

What does such a problem look like? You click on the PSStore icon (or simply log in), after which a notification pops up stating that the PSN Store is not working. You can often see a special code that can be used to determine the source of a particular error.

Problem with Internet?

Incorrect Network settings are almost the most common reasons why PSN does not work. We are talking about both the router and the console itself. First, you should check the connection settings on other devices. If you can’t connect only the set-top box, but the rest of the equipment works properly, then the Internet has nothing to do with it.

Problem with the router?

Sometimes a PSN error can occur due to incorrect router settings. The TPlink series router often suffers from this, but other devices cannot be fully insured. First, check the functionality of the Ethernet cable, which can replace the Wi-Fi connection. If everything works, then the problem lies not in the router, but in the wireless connection.

  1. Open settings.
  2. Select the "Network" category.
  3. Find the WAN subkey.
  4. Next, go to the "Advanced" tab.
  5. Next to the MTU parameter, set the icon to 4000.

After you complete all the above steps, try to connect to the system again. If your PSN was not working before, the problem should now be resolved.

DNS problem?

You can also try changing the DNS type from standard to general. Open the settings tab again and select WAN. Now specify the following parameters:

  1. Opposite the main DNS - 8888.
  2. Opposite the additional DNS - 8844.

Remember that there must be dots (three dots) between the numbers.

A few more important reasons

  1. It also happens that the reason why PSN does not work is a consequence of a temporary shutdown of its servers. This is usually associated with prevention or planned troubleshooting. You can check whether the servers are currently undergoing technical work on the Internet, on the official Playstation Network website.
  2. The problem may lie in your account, so you should try logging into PSN via a desktop computer. Open the site through a browser and check whether it works or not.
  3. Find out the source of the error that keeps appearing when you try to log into PSN. Most of the codes are recorded on the official Playstation website, so feel free to go there for help.

We tried to figure out the main reasons why PSN does not work. Now let's look at the most common error codes that users encounter. Since there are quite a lot of them, we divided one large section into two parts.

Error codes. Part 1

Code CE328070

The error is related to the license. If you have already completed the basic activation of the system on your set-top box, go to the settings and deactivate it. Then reactivate and restore the license.

Code CE329206

The error is related to loading previously canceled content. Try restoring your license. Then check the availability of certain content in the selected game. If you purchase a Season Pass, go to the settings and see how it is activated. Reboot the system if the objects were not found.

Codes CE337430 and CE339454

The error means it is impossible to connect to the server. Check the server status on the official website.

Code CE339836 and CE339847

The test connection to the Internet failed. Reconnect. The error may also be due to technical work.

Code CE348612

Failed connection to servers. If you were able to connect before the error appeared, then make sure that the servers status is active. If the error occurs constantly, then it is worth performing an SSL check.

Code E800085D1

Another error related to the inability to connect to servers.

Error codes. Part 2

Code E82000138

You cannot transfer money using a PSN card. It is necessary to ensure that the total amount of money in the account will not ultimately exceed the allowable one hundred and fifty US dollars.

Code E82000163

The address on your credit card does not match the address on your account. Another error that can only be corrected using a browser (the browser can also be used on a console).

Code E82F001F7

Error indicating repair work is being carried out. PSN servers are under maintenance. Check the status and wait.

Code NP319520

Unsuccessful Internet connection. You need to test your Internet connection and check the previously installed settings. Don't rule out the possibility of prevention.

Code NP350008

Technical work on servers.

Code NW311948

Unable to connect to the Network. Check the server status using online statistics from the official website. If the servers are active, check the test Internet connection. You may need to install the latest firmware on your router. Disconnect any device that you don't need but is still connected to the Internet.

Code NW312006

A connection error made it impossible to update the software. Try updating the software via a desktop computer by connecting the set-top box to it via a USB cable. If you cannot work with your computer at the moment, then conduct a test Internet connection. After making sure that your Internet connection is stable, update the software again. In case the connection could not be completed, check the status of the servers on the official website. Don't forget to turn off any additional devices that you don't need at the moment.

We hope that our information will help you connect to PSN. Don’t forget also about technical support, which you can contact with any question.

I have been contacted several times with a question about PS4. Namely, the now widespread PSN login error"CE-33991-5", PSN login: "failed." Many thematic forums are teeming with instructions for solving this problem. Having applied all the recipes I had read in turn, I was very upset because none of them worked. Neither changing the DNS on the router nor reducing the MTU helped. However, after applying all the recipes at the same time, and once again rebooting the console, I saw a message suggesting a firmware update. This was a good sign. After updating the firmware, I found that PSN became available as before and there was no longer any error. If you have exhausted all the methods, I offer you my recipe for solving the problem, which I have successfully tested on three PS4s.
  1. Automatic time update on the set-top box
  2. MTU and DNS on the set-top box
  3. MTU and DNS on the router
  4. And most importantly, don’t forget to log into PlayStation™Network

Automatic time update on the set-top box

Go to “Settings”, “Date and time”, “Date and time settings”, select “Set up now”, later you can return to “Set up automatically”.
PS4 settings menu

MTU and DNS on the set-top box

Go to “Settings”, “Establish an Internet connection”. Select the connection type "Use LAN cable" or "Use Wi-Fi" depending on what type of connection you are going to use wired or wireless.

In the menu that opens, select "Special". Leave all items unchanged except DNS and MTU. Change DNS to DNS from Goggle. Primary DNS: 8.8.8.8, secondary DNS: 8.8.4.4. MTU can be set to a minimum of 1300.
Network - Establish a connection to the Internet PS4

Establish an Internet connection -Use a PS4 LAN cable

IP Address Settings - Manual PS4

Check your Internet connection. If you get an error logging into PSN, proceed to the manipulations with the router, which are discussed below.

MTU and DNS on the router

On the router you need to perform approximately the same actions, i.e. change DNS and MTU addresses. Again, the DNS addresses are 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4, and the MTU is 1300, respectively.

Sometimes they also include DMZ - this is the opening of all ports for a specific device behind the router. In our case, along with DNS and MTU on the PS4, we should manually enter a static IP address from the router’s subnet of addresses. What does it mean?

If the router's IP is 192.168.1.1, then the selected IP should be in the format 192.168.1.xxx, for example, 192.168.1.2. Then specify the same IP address in the DMZ settings of the router. And in the DHCP settings, set the range of addresses so that the address you select does not fall into it. For example, if 192.168.1.2 is selected, then addresses must begin with 192.168.1.3 and above. I read this method much later, when I had already solved several such problems with PS4. It worked for me without this.

Sign in to PlayStation™Network

To log into the PSN network, select Settings, PlayStation™Network/Account Management, Sign In/Sign Out. Select your account and enter your password if you are not logged in previously.

That's all, when you connect to the network, the PSN login error should disappear. If this helped you, comment and share the information on social networks.
