New three-dimensional sipes (3D Multi-wave technology) not only remove water formed between the tire and the road surface, but also cling to the icy road surface with their edges. The tire, which uses new technologies, is intended for both passenger cars and SUVs. The original tread pattern, including a central rib, volumetric sipes and diagonal microgrooves, allows you to optimize the contact patch and traction. The shoulder block design also improves traction, while wide angled grooves improve water and slush evacuation. The stud has a flange and core design that enhances the edge effect, which improves traction on ice and helps keep the studs in the tire. The stud distribution pattern not only enhances traction on ice, but also reduces noise levels. Particular attention was paid to the composition of the rubber mixture. YOKOHAMA iceGUARD Studless G075

This is the first non-studded tire for SUVs in the history of the iceGUARD brand. When developing the rubber compound, special attention was paid to the capabilities of the composition that absorbs the water film formed when moving on ice. In addition, the iceGUARD Studless G075 rubber compound has softer properties at low temperatures, which improves grip. The new tread pattern increases the contact patch and is designed for high edge effect on icy surfaces. Diagonal micro sipes provide reliable grip on ice from the first kilometers of tire operation. Compared to the G073 model, the braking distance on ice was reduced by 23%, rolling resistance was 5% lower and the noise level was reduced by more than 2 dB.
