iCloud Photo Library and Photos: Set up and use04/09/2015. What is iCloud and how to use it on iPhone, iPad and Mac

In this article, we'll show you how to use iCloud Photo Library, view and delete photos and videos in iCloud, and answer the most frequently asked questions about the feature.

What is iCloud Photo Library

iCloud Photo Library gives iPhone and iPad owners the ability to store photos and videos in the iCloud cloud service and access them from mobile gadgets or computers (not to be confused with Photo Stream). Any changes to your library on one device are synced to other devices under the same Apple ID account.

New photos and videos are uploaded to iCloud when your device is connected to the Internet (Wi-Fi or cellular). The speed at which photos and videos are added to all linked devices depends on the speed of your Internet connection.

After connecting the media library, instead of the Camera Roll album, the All Photos album with the same functionality will appear. This folder contains all photos and videos sorted by date added.

It's worth noting that the Music app settings also have iCloud Music Library, which has nothing to do with iCloud Music Library in iCloud Settings for Photos.

What devices does iCloud Music Library work on?

  • On iPhone, iPad, iPod touch via the Photos app;
  • On Mac computers through the Photos app;
  • On the Apple TV;
  • On computers with Windows 7 and above (requires the iCloud app for Windows);
  • On any device with an internet browser installed via iCloud.com.

What file types are supported by iCloud Music Library

When you copy photos and videos to iCloud Photo Library, all content remains at their original resolution. The service supports the following file types: JPEG, RAW, PNG, GIF, TIFF, HEIF, HEVC, MP4, as well as special formats available when shooting in the Camera app on iPhone: Live Photos, slow-motion or time-lapse video, and 4K video).

By default, all photos and videos are stored in iCloud as they were taken.

Turn on iCloud Music Library

Go to Settings -> Apple ID [your name] -> iCloud -> Photos and toggle iCloud Photo Library to On.

On Mac Open the System Preferences app and go to iCloud. Click "Options" next to the word "Photos" and check the "iCloud Photo Library" box.

On the Apple TV Open the Settings app and go to Accounts -> iCloud -> iCloud Music Library.

On a Windows computer Install and launch the iCloud app for Windows. Then click the Options button next to Photos, select iCloud Photo Library. Click the "Finish" and "Apply" button.

What happens to the My Photo Stream album after turning on iCloud Photo Library?

Images from the My Photo Stream album will be added to this album. Photos not saved in the library will be deleted, and the folder itself will no longer be displayed. If you have My Photo Stream enabled on your other device but your library is disabled, all new photos will appear in your Photo Stream.

Is it possible to delete photos and videos from iPhone or iPad but keep them in iCloud Photo Library?

All photos and videos stored in iCloud Photo Library take up space in iCloud storage and on your device. Deleting a photo or video on one of your devices will automatically delete it from all devices and icloud.com.

At the same time, Apple offers to increase storage in iCloud for an additional fee (when registering an Apple ID, the user is provided with 5 GB of free space in the "cloud"). However, keep in mind that increasing your cloud storage only makes sense if your device has more storage than iCloud. Otherwise, the device memory will always be full.

For example, if you use an iPhone with a 16 GB drive, an iPad with 64 GB and a purchased 50 GB iCloud plan, 25 GB of which is occupied by photos and videos, then using the iCloud Photo Library on your smartphone is not practical.

The current prices for a place in iCloud for Russian users can be found here.

To delete photos and videos from your iPhone or iPad but keep them on iCloud, you can use the iCloud Drive service using the Files app or third-party alternative services, such as Google Photos or Yandex.Disk.

What is the Optimize Storage feature in iCloud Music Library for?

To save space on iOS devices and Mac computers, Optimize Storage is a feature that allows you to compress photos and videos stored on your device, while keeping the original (full) versions of files in iCloud Photo Library.

How to enable "Storage Optimization"

On iPhone, iPad or iPod touch along the path Settings -> Apple ID [your name] -> iCloud -> Photos -> Optimize storage.

On a Mac In the Photos app, open Program Preferences, go to iCloud, and select Optimize Mac storage.

The Optimize Storage feature only starts working when there is not enough space on the device. If necessary, you can download original photos and videos over Wi-Fi or cellular networks.

If you select "Download originals" in iCloud Photo Library settings, the original full-resolution photos and videos will be stored in the cloud storage and on the device.

How to View and Delete Photos and Videos on iPhone, iPad, and Computer Using iCloud Photo Library

icloud.com has a Photos web app that lets you view and delete photos and videos stored in iCloud Photo Library.

A file deleted in Photos is also deleted from your device library and iCloud. For 30 days, deleted photos and videos are stored in the Recently Deleted folder, so you can restore them if you wish.

How do I know when files are uploading to iCloud Photo Library?

To check if a photo or video has been sent to the cloud, launch the Photos app, go to the Photos tab, and scroll to the very bottom of the page.

What happens if you exceed the amount of iCloud storage?

If there is not enough space in iCloud, photos and videos will not be uploaded to the cloud and synced between devices.

You can solve the problem in two ways: either buy more storage, or clean up the storage by deleting files that do not need to be stored on all iOS devices or in the iCloud.com service. Please note that you cannot recover deleted photos or videos because they are not saved in the Recently Deleted album.

How to turn off iCloud Photo Library on only one device?

If you only want to turn off iCloud Music Library on one iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings -> Apple ID [username] -> iCloud -> Photos and disable iCloud Photo Library.

On Mac enter the System Preferences app and go to iCloud -> Photos -> Settings. Next, uncheck the "iCloud Photo Library" option.

On Apple TV: Open the Settings app and go to Accounts -> iCloud. To turn off the library, click "Select" in the "Photos" section.

When Optimize Storage is enabled, not all original photos and videos may be stored on the device. To download original files to your iOS device, go to Settings -> Apple ID [username] -> iCloud -> Photos -> Save Originals. On a Mac, follow these steps: open the Photos app -> Photos -> Preferences -> Download Originals to This Mac.

How to delete all photos and videos from iCloud Photo Library and all from devices?

On iPhone, iPad or iPod touch: go to Settings -> Apple ID [username] -> iCloud -> iCloud Storage -> Manage Storage -> Photos -> Disable & Delete.

On Mac: System Preferences -> iCloud -> Manage -> Library -> Disable & Delete.

Best Alternatives to iCloud Photo Library

Currently, there are many cloud services with similar functionality, but the most popular are: Google Photos (we highly recommend), Yandex.Disk and Dropbox.

According to yablyk

The most attentive users of iOS devices have probably noticed a new item in the operating system settings for a long time - ( Settings->iCloud->Photos). The most adventurous and advanced are already using this innovation from Apple with might and main, despite the fact that iCloud Media Library is still in beta status! It works great now, but will be released from beta status in the final version of iOS 8.3.

What is iCloud Photo Library?

What will change in the user's life if he turns it on on his devices? I will write everything down point by point so that everything fits in the minds of the readers.

1. iCloud Music Library lets you store all your photos and video in iCloud Drive. The key word here is " All"! Let me remind you that by default, the system has a photo stream that stores only the last 1000 photos in the cloud. Also an important word video”- before this, the video was stored exclusively on the device on which it was filmed.

2. The user has the opportunity to store small copies of photos and optimized videos on iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch and Mac. Due to this, the user can free up a significant amount of space on their devices. The savings will be especially noticeable with a large number of photos and videos. But this savings has its minus - about it below.

3. If you transfer all your iDevices to the iCloud library, you will get all the benefits of synchronization with the cloud (iCloud Drive). Photos and changes to them will appear on all your devices, that is, you will have a single library. A scheme like this: “taken on iPad, edited on Mac, posted on Instagram from iPhone” will finally work as it should!

4. Due to the fact that an unlimited number of photos will be stored in the cloud, most likely the free 5 gigabytes will not be enough for the user. The user will have to switch to paid tariffs. Now the cost of 20 gigabytes in iCloud Drive is only 39 rubles per month. This is not much, and for most users this number of gigabytes is enough for the eyes. If not, then the tariffs are more expensive and more serious at your service.

5. In the Photos program, instead of two albums, Camera Roll and My Photo Stream, a single album "All Photos" will appear.

6. Your library becomes available through iCloud.com anywhere in the world.

How do I turn on iCloud Photo Library?

Before enabling your library, you need to make sure that your iCloud plan allows you to easily switch to iCloud Music Library. Here you have to soberly assess the place that your photos and videos will take in the cloud. If you have 10 thousand photos on your iPad and 3 gigabytes are free in iCloud (see Settings -> iCloud-> Storage), then it’s clear that all your goodness will not fit into the cloud. Try to either remove some media or increase your data plan.

OS X users should be especially careful. Yosemite version 10.10.3 introduced Photos. If you turn on iCloud Photo Library there, your current iCloud plan might not be enough. For example, my media library on my computer is over 150 gigabytes. Perhaps it makes sense to store your computer media library in some other cloud.

Next, turn on the iCloud Photo Library toggle ( Settings->iCloud->Photos) and connect your iPad (iPhone or iPod Touch) to a power source. If there is a Wi-Fi network, all Photos and Videos will be uploaded to the cloud. The speed of this procedure depends on the speed of the outgoing traffic of your Internet connection and the size of your media library.

To avoid problems, I recommend connecting your devices to iCloud Music Library one at a time. We turned it on on one, waited for the data to merge into the cloud, checked that everything was fine and took up the next device. Firstly, you still won’t win in speed (your outgoing channel is not rubber). Secondly, beta status implies the possibility of unforeseen bugs. And in the final version, I would recommend playing it safe.

Also consciously choose one of the two options:

- iPad/iPhone/iPod storage optimization. (To save space on the device. But when accessing a photo, it will be loaded from the cloud. In fact, only a small preview photo is stored on the device.) This is not always convenient.

- Upload with the preservation of the original (if you need photos in the original resolution on the device).

The "Upload to My Photo Stream" option is best left enabled. Do not manually upload new photos to the cloud ...

Leave iCloud Photo Sharing turned on. Shared photostreams are convenient. Try sometime...

Deleting photos(or video) in iCloud Photo Library is a two-step process.

1. Deleting a photo on one of the devices. It goes into the Recently Deleted folder. After 30 days, the photo will be deleted automatically from there.

2. If you don't want to wait 30 days, you can also delete the photo from the Recently Deleted album. The photo will finally disappear both from all devices and from the iCloud Media Library.

How to turn off iCloud Photo Library?

It is enough to turn off this item in the settings of all devices that are connected to your media library. But within 30 days, all photos and videos will be stored in the cloud, from where they can be downloaded through the site.

Disadvantages of iCloud Music Library

At the moment, the media library has more advantages than the old scheme with a photo stream. But there are also some minor downsides. For example:

a) the user is actually forced to switch to a paid tariff. Well, either you need to constantly clean up your media library.

b) the presence of a single media library is not always convenient in itself.

Draw your own conclusions! Whether or not to connect the iCloud media library is up to the user. I have detailed the possibilities. If you have any questions or impressions - write comments!

Here's what you need to know about iCloud Photo Library and how not to lose your photos.

Users often seek help from Apple tech support because of the Photos app. This ugly duckling has rattled the nerves of the majority of iPhone, iPad and Mac owners with its instability and unpredictability. People do not understand how the service works and some of its features. This time we'll talk about deleting and resyncing your library, Optimize Storage, and syncing your iCloud Music Library to an external hard drive.

Can I delete my photo library and re-sync it to the cloud?

When it is necessary to delete the entire collection of pictures from one of the devices and disable the iCloud library on it, many users think that the next time they sync, the photos will be deleted from all gadgets.

To avoid this, you need to do the following:

  • Enable iCloud Music Library on the system and wait for the sync to finish.
  • Then turn it off.
  • Then you need to delete all photos on the device.

Since iCloud Photo Library has been disabled, the process of deleting pictures will not be accounted for by the cloud. This means that photos on the web and on other devices will remain safe.

What happens to photos if you enable the Optimize Storage option?

The optimization feature removes original photos from your computer and stores them only in the cloud. This leaves copies of the images at a reduced resolution on the device. Users who enable snapshot optimization often ask what happens when their computer runs out of space. Actually, nothing bad will happen. The originals will also remain available on iCloud.

It is worth noting that it is very risky to have only one copy of a photograph. iCloud is not always stable and can permanently erase a photo if it fails during sync. Therefore, it is worth storing originals on at least several devices, without relying on the cloud alone.

Can I sync my library to an external hard drive?

Some users are wondering how to sync the snapshot library with an external drive. To do this, you need:

  • Open the Finder application.
  • Go to settings.
  • Select the "Side Menu" tab.
  • Check the box next to "Images".

After that, a new folder will appear in the Finder sidebar, in which the media library will be stored. If you transfer this file to an external hard drive, then the Photos application will synchronize photos with it, but only when the drive is connected to your computer.

Hello poppies! Apple has both cool and really stupid services. If we talk about iCloud, then I really love this service and gladly buy additional gigabytes there every month. But the photo library iCloud me, I'm pretty annoying. Every now and then I encounter a misunderstanding of my acquaintances about the essence of this cloud media library and how it differs from a photo stream. So, now I will tell you about the features of that very iCloud media library and how to live with it.

Ever since Steve Jobs released the first iPhone, users have been able to save photos from iPhone to computer and vice versa. At first we used a simple cable to save photos to the iPhoto program, then the photo stream came to our aid, and the iCloud Photo Library was the last to reach us. Usually, when analyzing this topic, I use an A4 sheet and a pen, and within a couple of minutes I put everything on the shelves. Now it will take a little longer, but I will try to explain everything in detail 🙂

Save Photos from iPhone to Mac via Cable

The first way we can save photos to our Mac is to transfer photos over the wire to iPhoto, Photos or via Image Capture. Everything is simple here: connect the iOS device to the computer and click on the import button in the corresponding program. If you periodically upload photos and videos on Mac in this way, then each time you only add those photos that are not yet in the media library. After saving the photos, the originals from the iPhone can be deleted. This method has its advantages:

  • photos and videos are saved as quickly as possible;
  • transparent operation of this method;
  • interferes with the constant inclusion of the iPhoto / Photo program when connecting the iPhone;
  • if the automatic launch of the program is turned off, then you must not forget to throw off the photos;
  • transfer photos only from iPhone to Mac, no sync;

By the way, there is also the ability to save photos through the Image Capture program, about which 🙂

Saving photos via Photo Stream

We figured out the wire, but there is one problem - it’s not always at hand that there is a wire or it’s broken to follow it (this is about me). Since most of our Macs and iPhones have an iCloud account, we can also activate the photo stream. By the way, let me remind you that the account on the gadgets must be the same! And how you can organize your accounts on devices, I 🙂

Let's see how the photo stream works! A photo taken on the iPhone or saved in the camera roll (from WhatsApp, for example) in the presence of WiFi breaks on all devices with the same Apple ID. And if your Mac is also connected to the Internet, then the photo will appear in iPhoto or Photos. The photostream stores last thousand photos and when you take 1001, the oldest photo of their photostream goes away. Leaves the photo stream, but remains saved on devices if you haven't deleted it before. That is, you just need to take a picture and connect your iPhone or iPad to WiFi so that the photo appears in the photo stream on other devices.

With this method of transferring photos from iPhone no space wasted in iCloud and you don't have to buy it. Even if you use the basic free plan of 5 GB and have already managed to completely use it, then even in this case, the photos will end up on your Mac. It's like transferring contacts and calendars - the main thing is that there is an Internet connection.

Now let's imagine that the user does not have one iPhone and one Mac, but a pair of iPhones, iPads, iPod Touch for running, Macbook at home and iMac at work. And everyone hangs on the same ID and the photo stream is enabled for everyone. If you take a photo on one of the iPhones, then it will automatically break into all these devices! And from here one ba-a-alsh minus pours out - photostream is a one-way stream of photos, not a sync. That is:

If the photo is good, then it settles in the memory of our gadgets and we rejoice. But if we went to the store and took off the price tags, so that we could later compare them with the price tags in another store, then deleting them at once on all devices will not work! It will be necessary to delete unwanted photos on each device one by one ... Eh, I don’t know about you, but I have a similar situation all the time: a lot of “one-time” photos, several similar pictures or postcards with congratulations from WhatsApp for every holiday ... And every time all the photos fall into all home media libraries.

Well, as you can see, there are good sides in the photo stream:

  • easy transfer of photos to Mac and other apple devices;
  • no need to buy additional space in iCloud;
  • if you lose your phone, Photostream can save your last thousand photos (if you only have one iPhone at all), even if you didn’t back up to iCloud;

So are the negatives:

  • photostream is NOT omnidirectional synchronization;
  • you cannot centrally delete unnecessary photos or distribute them into folders or albums;

By the way, this method of distributing photos reminds me of the old POP3 mail protocol. It was the same there: letters are received from the server to all devices, but are deleted from each one by one. And the outdated POP3 was replaced by modern IMAP, and in our case it is ...

iCloud Photo Library or iCloud Photo Library

Oh yes, this is exactly the same analogue of IMAP in the mail world. iCloud Photo Library works differently than Photo Stream because the iCloud cloud on Apple's server is a single, central location for storing photos, rather than each device. That is, by pressing the shutter button of your iPhone, the photo automatically flies to the iCloud server (if you have a WiFi connection), from where it already goes to all devices with the iCloud media library turned on. The captured image is not only used by the iCloud service to transfer it to other devices, but is stored in the cloud, taking up space in iCloud! It is important!

Schematically, it works like this:

I will say right away that this method synchronization very convenient and promising. But let's take a look at the situation one by one. Let's say a user bought an iMac and an iPhone and received help creating and setting up an Apple ID for change. The user takes a couple of photos on his iPhone and sees that in a couple of minutes all the photos appear on the iMac and the user rejoices! Then he deletes the photo on the iMac and sees that the photo on the iPhone is also deleted. He rejoices, but begins to get a little nervous: what if I (or a child) start deleting photos on one device, then they will also disappear on the other? Yes, they will disappear, but on the Mac in the Photos program, on the iPhone and in the iCloud cloud, there is a trash can from which you can restore everything, so this is not a problem.

Suppose that our user decides to upload all the photos from the old archive to the Photos library on his Mac, where there are about 40 GB of photos. He transfers all folders with photos and rejoices that in the media library they are distributed by date, by event. Here he looks at the iPhone and does not believe his eyes: it's the same there! Fire! Cool! Kaef!” the dude yells, until suddenly the iPhone informs him that the place in iCloud is over! The guy is not miserly, he buys an additional 50 GB in the cloud for 59 rubles and does not buzz again! By the way, be smart as a dude, buy an iCloud space 😉

But here again an ambush awaits our friend: he bought an iPhone for 32 GB, and the photos in his iMac's media library are almost 40 GB. And then the iPhone squeals again and offers to compress the media library, saying that not a whole photo will be saved on the iPhone, but a truncated copy. And the photos will take up little space and everything will fit on the device. "Fabulous!" The dude thought and agreed. And only then I realized that in order to view photos on my iPhone in normal quality, he needs to have an active Internet connection so that pictures in good quality are loaded from the cloud! And on the other hand, the Internet is almost unlimited, the connection is good everywhere - do not worry and rejoice!

Cool story? Liked? I also like it when everything happens according to a similar scenario, but this is a fairy tale in which very few users live. And now the reality:

  • iCloud photo library offer is happening in Photos with minimal deciphering of the consequences! Just a big blue "Turn on iCloud Music Library" button...
  • this offer occurs after a macOS or iOS update and the user can simply ignore the warning and simply click on the big blue button, without hesitation!
  • More often than not, we don't know how many photos are in the Photos library on a Mac or iPhone, and turning on the library puts us in front of the fact that iCloud has run out of space!
  • Enabling iCloud Photo Library on your Mac and iPhone at the same time will result in a complete merging of all photos! And no one cares that you carefully transferred only selected pictures to your Mac!
  • if a user turned on the iCloud library on one device, but did not turn it on on another, then a strong confusion begins, from which it is difficult to get out without spending a lot of time, nerves and maybe even money (for buying additional space in iCloud)!

These are the realities I most often encounter: the user accidentally turned on something, and then problems began: the iCloud space ran out, photos from the iPhone are not transferred to the Mac, there is not enough space on the iPhone, and so on.

So what do you do with iCloud Music Library?

Good question, but needs some clarification. If you just bought your first apple device, then you can turn on the iCloud media library and live your life. On the other hand, there is no benefit to using the media library unless you have other Apple devices that you would like to share your photo database with. In any case, I recommend buying additional space in iCloud and backing up your data - it will definitely be more useful, besides, all your photos will be stored in the backup anyway.

In the case when you have been using apple technology for some time and you have accumulated a lot of photos, both on Mac and iPhone / iPad, then you need to understand whether it is necessary to have a common database of photos. If yes, then go ahead and buy more space in iCloud with the song, optimize photos on devices and live with it. But if you don’t want to use the iCloud photo library, but you accidentally turned it on, then ...

How to turn off iCloud Photo Library?

There is a problem with this. When a large amount of photos gets on the iPhone and the place on it runs out, then iOS may offer to optimize storage, thereby leaving only previews of photos in memory, but not their full versions. If you try to turn off optimization in the settings and try to load the originals, then 2 problems will appear. Firstly, you need to have a normal Internet connection to upload photos, and secondly, you need to have space on your phone, but it doesn’t exist anyway ... If it is possible to temporarily delete unnecessary data from the iPhone and clear up space on it to download originals - Just Do It !

If you can't clear the space, turn off the iCloud library on your phone and agree to deleting some of the photos. All the same, these photos will remain in the iCloud cloud or they can be downloaded to your Mac or viewed through the site. In any case, those photos that are not uploaded to the cloud will remain on the phone, and those that are already in iCloud will be available through the site. So you won't be able to lose your photos.

Right there, as a small life hack, I can suggest temporarily deleting Facebook, Instagram and Vkontakte programs from your phone. All of them are just shells and there is no information inside them - everything is stored on servers! When you have finished all the manipulations with the media library and photos, they can be downloaded again.

iCloud Music Library is great, but not for me...

But what about me? And I decided that iCloud Music Library was not for me, because I'm not ready to combine photos on my devices. Even taking into account that there is enough space on the iPhone to fit all the photos from the media library on the Mac. I decided this for myself: on my Macbook Pro are all the photos that I have at all. Some are in the Photos program, some are neatly arranged in folders. On the iPhone 6, all the photos from the camera are in a pile, as well as a couple of albums thrown from the Mac. I try to constantly back up my Macbook Pro to iCloud, and this gives me confidence in the safety of my data.

My friends, I really hope that this article has somehow helped you understand how iCloud Photo Library works. Maybe you can choose for yourself the best way to store and transfer photos between devices! I am sure that if you have any questions, you can safely write them in the comments below, ask on the page of my group in

Hi all! Yes, with just such a problem - music is not recorded on the iPhone via iTunes, as many as 2 friends contacted me in the last day! To be honest, I was a little confused when I first heard about this problem, since until this day there were no problems - you take a song from iTunes and drag it to your iPhone or iPad. But as it turned out, after the last iOS update, something has changed in iGadgets, and now I'll show you exactly what!

iCloud Music Library

The problem is buried in iCloud, or rather in the iCloud Music Library section, which synchronizes all the songs on all your devices. What exactly is happening there, in this media library and how it works exactly, I won’t say. And the campaign even in Apple itself is already confused why they need iTunes Match, iTunes Music Store and iCloud Media Library! I don't want to rack my brains on how iTunes Match and iCloud Music Library interact, I'll just say that by disabling the library in the settings, you can record music to your iPhone/iPod/iPad from your computer via iTunes.

Before turning off iCloud Music Library, let's go to Music and see what's there:

As you can see, there are several folders and playlists - this is what I now have on my Mac in iTunes (I deleted the unnamed folder from iTunes, but it doesn’t want to disappear from the iPhone):

And in this mode we Can't upload music to iPhone via iTunes from a computer ... We can only listen to music online or download some song or folder to the device if we click on the "..." to the right of the folder or song and click on Make available offline, although this does not always work:

How to turn off iCloud Music Library

Now let's figure out how to get rid of this scourge and return to the original, classic look. We go to the iPhone / iPod / iPad in Settings, scroll down to the Music section, and already inside it turn off iCloud Music Library!

If for some reason the iPhone swears that it will delete all the music on the device, we can safely ignore it and delete it! After that, the Music program on the device will show what it should, that is, nothing. In my case, we see some playlists and music, but this is just what I already bought myself in iTMS 🙂

Now you can safely connect your iPhone to iTunes and record music in any way convenient for you!

By the way, after turning the iCloud media library on and off several times, folders with numbers appear in the playlists - this is most likely an iOS jamb and will have to be fixed in the next update ... Deleting these folders is very simple - click on "..." on the right and click on Delete.

As a result, I still did not understand through what mechanism the iCloud media library works - through iTunes Match (taking into account that I am not subscribed to it) or somehow. Again, if iCloud Music Library allows you to listen to all the music from your computer, then why do you need this Match!? Most likely, this is somehow tied to Apple Music, but then again, how? In general, I have more questions than answers. If you know the details, write in the comments, otherwise I'm completely confused!
