The Logitech C270 webcam, in principle, does not require driver installation and starts working immediately after connecting to the computer. I did not use the proprietary program for video calls Logitech Vid HD, since everyone uses Skype for this purpose, and in the new version of the Logitech software they removed it altogether.

4.Using experience
I've been using the Logitech C270 webcam for several years now and it never ceases to please me with the highest quality video and audio for Skype calls. The video turns out to be really high quality, with excellent clarity and color rendition. Even in insufficient daylight or artificial light, where the smartphone camera takes eerie photos, the Logitech C270 copes with its task with a bang. It very correctly adjusts the brightness, contrast and color of the video stream on the fly. In general, everyone with whom I communicated on Skype always noted the high quality of the image and were surprised, thinking that I had an expensive camera.
As for sound quality and audibility, thanks to a conveniently located sensitive microphone, everything is also at its best. I already forgot when I used the headset in online games, because the webcam microphone is quite enough for these purposes. When playing at night, I speak in a whisper and my teammates can hear me perfectly. And thanks to excellent noise reduction, the sound from the speakers does not go through the microphone back to the game or Skype. Thus, the interlocutors do not hear the echo effect.
5. Conclusion
I've tried a variety of similarly priced webcams from other manufacturers, but none of them come close to the quality of the Logitech C270. And given the low price, there is no point in buying anything else. The only thing is, if you are interested in Full HD video (1920×1080) or a stereo microphone, then you could take a closer look at more expensive cameras from this manufacturer; they are very worthy.
