Delivery and configuration

The LG TONE+ HBS-500 wireless headset comes in a relatively large and quite informative box, which is made of high-quality, medium-density cardboard. In addition to several high-quality images, company logos and icons, here you can find detailed information about all the technical and functional capabilities of the purchased accessory.

Inside the box is a transparent plastic container. Due to its characteristic shape and convenient groove system, it securely holds the headset during transport.

The LG TONE+ HBS-500 delivery kit contains all the necessary list of elements for a quick and comfortable start. It includes: a USB cable, 3 pairs of replacement ear pads, a paper user manual, a warranty card and a WEEE card, which indicates LG's participation in the electronics hazardous waste recycling program.

Appearance, design features

In terms of design and functionality, the headset under review is a slightly simplified version of the more expensive and technically advanced LG TONE+ HBS-730 model, which became the founder of the series. However, having inherited a stylish appearance, the new product also acquired a number of interesting features.

The base of the LG TONE+ HBS-500 case is made of matte black plastic, which is successfully complemented by silver inserts. This material is of high quality and has pleasant tactile properties. In addition, this classic color scheme harmonizes well with any style of clothing, including business when the main headphone module is placed under the collar of a shirt. But when talking or listening to music, the wires will stick out a little due to the way they are attached to the body, which, however, does not create much discomfort.

The headset itself has compact dimensions (168 x 140 x 18.1 mm) and modest weight (29 g), which only accompanies its trouble-free use throughout the day, without noticeable fatigue and other inconveniences. Its design is a small rubber rim with a diameter of 4 mm, in which there is a wire connecting two functional blocks located at the edges. Their shape resembles highly elongated droplets with a largest diameter of 18.1 mm, on which there is a cut edge to accommodate control elements.

So, on the left module there is a multifunctional button to end a call and start voice control. When you press it twice, the playback of music tracks begins (Start/Pause), and when you hold it, the pairing mode with an external device starts or the headset is turned on/off.

There is also a small hole for the speaking microphone, and just to the side there is an LED activity indicator and a micro-USB connector for charging the battery. The latter is closed with a thick rubber plug that prevents moisture from entering.

The right module has two volume control buttons, which, when pressed twice, can switch selected songs on the paired device, as well as, if necessary, enable/disable the built-in vibration alert.

In general, this design solution, divided into two functional blocks, allows for good weight distribution, because the teardrop-shaped modules act as weights and prevent the headset from flying off the neck even with fairly active actions.

As for the headphones themselves, in this wireless accessory they use a vacuum-shaped driver and are equipped with three pairs of interchangeable ear pads (small, medium and large). This allows you to choose the ideal option for almost any user.

For ease of use of the headset in the stowed position, there are special grooves on the sides of the functional blocks into which fairly strong magnets are inserted. They securely fix the headphones inside the mount and prevent them from dangling chaotically while walking.

In addition, on the back handle, between the working modules, there are two clips that press the wires (24 cm each) tightly enough to the base, adjusting their length and preventing them from getting tangled.

The build quality of the LG TONE+ HBS-500 deserves only positive reviews. All structural elements fit very tightly: there are no noticeable backlashes or gaps. The overall rigidity of the structure is also high. The rubber headband has good flexibility and does not cause a feeling of concern even with increased pressure or more active use.

Softwaresecurity

A useful addition to the functionality of the LG TONE+ HBS-500 is proprietary software that allows you to fully unleash the potential of the accessory you are reviewing. It has a pleasant and intuitive interface, and also contains a number of very interesting and quite useful features. In particular, with its help, the user can simultaneously connect two paired devices to the headset, control the playback mode of music tracks, set the volume level in one click, and also set up receiving not only text but also voice notifications from the most popular social networks. To do this, you need to install the proprietary Tone & Talk utility and download the audio support package. Unfortunately, the Russian language is not on this list, which may become some limitation for residents of our region.

Sound quality

Direct testing of the sound of the headset under review was carried out using a smartphone. All the necessary software was installed on it, and the pairing procedure was carried out several times.

Despite the lack of official information about the size of the sound drivers, their shape, volume and workmanship left a more than pleasant impression. Due to their simple, but at the same time well-calibrated ergonomics, they are in excellent contact with the auricle and provide clear, deep and very detailed sound throughout the entire available range (there are high, mid and well-defined low frequencies). And thanks to the built-in equalizer with a preset set of settings, the user will be able to quickly switch between musical styles (while holding down the volume buttons) without experiencing discomfort when listening to a variety of compositions.

The headphone volume reserve is sufficient for any conditions of use, including very noisy urban transport environments. For example, by setting the volume level on the headset to the maximum value, on the phone it is quite enough to fix this parameter at 30-35% (5-6 divisions out of 15) in order to listen to music comfortably and not fall out of the environment. At the same time, at 60% and above (9-10 divisions), external noise completely disappears from the audio range, which allows you to concentrate on listening to your favorite song or audio podcast.

Using the LG TONE+ HBS-500 as a standard telephone headset also did not cause any complaints. Both on the part of the user and on the part of the interlocutor, voice transmission was at a high level and was distinguished by a pleasant and clearly distinguishable sound. No interference, extraneous noise or interruptions were observed, which indicates the high quality of the built-in microphone and the good performance of the noise reduction system. However, we should not forget that this indicator primarily depends on the condition of the interlocutor’s phone and the quality of mobile communications.

Testing for reception range and battery life

A rather unusual and in many ways unique design solution when developing the headset made it possible to equip the LG TONE+ HBS-500 with an excellent wireless module and a good battery.

During the entire testing period, we did not record even the slightest hint of possible problems with connection or communication stability. Despite the abundance of electromagnetic interference in a modern living space and the presence of natural barriers (doors, walls, ceilings), the headset almost instantly connected to an external device and maintained a high signal level. In the direct line of sight of the paired smartphone, it easily withstood more than 15 m of the declared distance, while in the presence of a small obstacle (window frame or plasterboard partition), the above-mentioned figure was reduced to only 10 m. Even such a significant obstacle as two load-bearing walls could not affect communication quality, but only reduced the wireless communication distance to 5 m.

As for the built-in battery, a non-removable lithium-polymer battery with a capacity of 125 mAh is used, which provides a decent level of autonomy. With its help, the LG TONE+ HBS-500 wireless headset can work up to 9 hours in talk mode, up to 7.5 hours when listening to music and up to 500 hours in standby mode. And to fully charge the uninterruptible power supply, you need to spend a little less than 2 hours of free time by connecting the gadget to the USB port of a stationary device.

Results

Without the slightest exaggeration, a wireless headset LGTONE+ H.B.S.-500 is a very interesting and unique mobile accessory. Thanks to the successful development of innovative ideas and many years of experience in the development of high-tech gadgets, a truly sought-after product has been created, which is able to win many loyal fans around the world.

It was Korean engineers from LG who first developed and put into practice the idea of a separate functional unit. Its implementation made it possible to equip the headset with a reliable wireless communication module and a sufficiently capacious battery, as well as increase the overall level of comfort.

In addition, due to the use of high-quality materials and high build quality, the reviewed accessory is pleasant to use throughout the whole day without experiencing fatigue or other discomfort.

And, of course, do not forget about the availability of proprietary software for the most popular platforms, which has a number of useful features. By installing it, the user will be able to simultaneously use two paired devices at once, and also receive important notifications in a timely manner in text and voice format.

Based on the above advantages, we can confidently recommend the LG TONE+ HBS-500 wireless headset for purchase to all lovers of extraordinary design ideas and high-quality sound.

Advantages:

  • stylish, innovative design;
  • excellent build quality;
  • comfortable ergonomics;
  • excellent wireless communication that fully meets the stated parameters;
  • high-quality and loud sound throughout the entire frequency range;
  • availability of proprietary software for devices running iOS and Android;
  • good level of autonomy.

We express our gratitude to the Ukrainian representative office of the company LG Electronics for the wireless headset provided for testing.

For a long time I did not want to sit down to write this article, and not even because I was lazy, but simply the topic of connecting Bluetooth headphones to TVs with Smart TV is very “dark”. It all started when I bought myself Bluetooth headphones and connected them to my Philips TV, which runs Android TV. Everything connected very simply and without problems. I thought why not write detailed instructions on connecting wireless headphones to TVs. Moreover, many modern TVs have Bluetooth support.

But somehow I didn’t really want to write only about Philips TVs, so I decided to make general instructions and show how you can connect Bluetooth headphones to LG, Samsung and Sony TVs. Since I don’t have these TVs, and I can’t check everything from personal experience, I started looking for information on the Internet. And then it began. If Philips and Sony TVs that run on Android TV connect without problems to wireless headphones, then LG with webOS and Samsung Smart TV are a complete mess.

It is clear that the TV must have a built-in Bluetooth adapter. But you probably know that almost all TVs work only with original devices (cameras, adapters, remotes, etc.). It's about the same story with headphones. You can easily connect an original Bluetooth stereo headset to LG and Samsung TVs. But it’s unlikely that you’ll be able to connect regular headphones. But it depends on the TV model, series, firmware version, year of production and God knows what else. The mess is such that after studying this topic for several hours, my brain boiled.

It seems that new Samsung TV models can already connect any Bluetooth headphones. There is also a service menu where you can try to enable support for this function. But again, it all depends on the series and model. LG has about the same story. And if you believe LG support, then you can only connect original headphones. But again, not on all models.

To avoid confusion, I will divide this article into three sections. I’ll tell you about each manufacturer separately. I'll show you how you can try connecting Bluetooth headphones in the TV settings.

In order not to waste time, I advise you to immediately make sure that your TV has built-in Bluetooth (if you have a Smart TV, then most likely yes). In some models it must be connected with a separate proprietary adapter. You can see the characteristics of your model on the official website.

If your TV does not have Bluetooth, or it flatly refuses to see headphones, then you can use a special one that connects to the 3.5 mm output of the TV (it is also possible to connect via RCA (tulip) or optical audio output), and headphones are already connected to it. I will tell you more about such adapters at the end of the article. (or read the article about Bluetooth transmitters at the link above).

Bluetooth headphones + Philips and Sony TVs on Android TV

Since I have a Philips TV (Philips model 43PUS7150/12 on Android TV), and I successfully paired it with my JBL E45BT headphones, then first of all I’ll tell you about this platform.

Important! I have no way to test the connection on my Sony TV. But, since Sony also uses Android TV as a Smart TV platform, I think that everything will work. I hope they didn’t put restrictions on connecting Bluetooth devices.

Go to the Android TV menu and select "Wired and Wireless Networks" at the very bottom.

The TV will display a message that you need to turn on the device and place it at a distance of up to 5 meters. Turn on your headphones and press the "Search" button. The headphones must be in connection mode. The blue Bluetooth light should flash. If it does not blink, then most likely you need to press and hold the power button, or a separate button with the corresponding icon.

The TV needs to see our headphones. Select them and click "Connect".

The sound from the TV started playing through the headphones. You can manage them in the TV settings. "Remove device" item. There you can disable or remove the wireless headset.

After turning on the power to my headphones, the sound from the TV speakers immediately goes to them. When I turn off the headphones, the built-in speakers sound.

We've sorted out these TVs. If you have anything to add, or have any questions, write in the comments.

Connecting Bluetooth headphones to a Samsung TV

Let's move on to Samsung TVs, which have complete confusion on this topic. As I already wrote at the beginning of the article, it seems that new models of certain series support connecting Bluetooth headphones from any manufacturer. At least I saw a video where to the TV J series connected Beats headphones without any problems.

I don’t know what Samsung TV you have, what firmware it has, Smart TV version, etc., but I advise you to try it. What if everything works out and works.

Connect: Open your TV settings. Go to the "Sound" - "Speaker Settings" section. Turn on your Bluetooth headphones and place them next to the TV. They must be in connected mode. The blue indicator should flash. Select "Bluetooth Headphone List".

If you do not have the “List of Bluetooth headphones” item, or it is inactive, then you can try activating it in the service menu of the TV. More on this below in the article.

Menu appearance may vary slightly.

Select them and the devices will be paired. The sound from the Samsung TV will be transmitted via Bluetooth to the headphones. If you turn them off, the sound will come through the TV speakers.

For K series TVs

In the settings you need to open the “Sound” section, then “Select speaker” and “Bluetooth Audio”.

Activating the "List of Bluetooth headphones" section in the service menu

I will not describe the whole process, but will simply add a video in which the author explains and shows everything in detail. There you can see the entire connection process.

If you managed to enable support for Bluetooth headphones on a Samsung TV using the service menu, then write about it in the comments to this article, and don’t forget to say thank you to the author of this video.

Let me remind you that a lot depends on the series and model of your TV. If it doesn’t work, then you can describe your case in the comments, or use the solution that I will talk about at the end of this article.

How to connect Bluetooth headphones to LG TV

It's a pity that I don't have an LG TV on webOS to check everything myself. There is not a lot of information on this topic on the Internet. But as far as I understand, LG’s connection to Bluetooth devices is even more complicated. Only original devices can be connected. That is, original LG headphones, soundbar, etc. This can be done in the settings, in the “Sound” section – “LG sound sync (wireless)”.

And even if your TV model has built-in Bluetooth, it is used primarily to connect the remote control and other branded devices.

You can also try connecting your headset using this scheme:

These are instructions from the official website. But as far as I understand, only branded headsets are connected this way.

Connecting Bluetooth devices via the LG TV Plus app

For Android and iOS there is an application called LG TV Plus. It is designed to control LG TVs that run webOS.

It seems like this application has something to do with it, right? But I found a video that shows how to LG TV Plus you can connect almost any Bluetooth device to your LG TV. Including headphones and speaker. I just can’t say for sure which version of webOS has this option. It looks like it's from webOS 3.0.

How it works: install LG TV Plus on a smartphone or tablet. Go to the application and connect to your TV. In the application settings there is a section "Bluetooth Agent". Through this agent you can connect wireless headphones to your LG TV.

Here's a video (about the function "Bluetooth Agent" from 3:48) :

If there is no TV Bluetooth, or headphones do not connect: solution

There are devices such as Bluetooth transmitters. They can be used not only with TVs, but also with other devices. Their task is to take sound from the TV via cable (from 3.5 mm, RCA, or optical output) and transmit via Bluetooth to any wireless headphones.

They look something like this:

This is a universal solution for almost any TV, even an old one. It is enough to connect the cable from the transmitter to the headphone output of the TV and connect your headset to the transmitter. These adapters are usually powered by a built-in battery. USB power/charging cable included. If your TV has a USB port, you can connect the adapter to it.

conclusions

As it turns out, only TVs running the Android TV system allow you to easily connect Bluetooth headsets and output sound to them. For such popular manufacturers as LG and Samsung, everything is very ambiguous in this regard. There are certain series and models that have the Bluetooth headphone connection function. And LG still can't give users the ability to choose the Bluetooth devices they want to connect to their TVs. And do not limit them only to branded accessories.

In any case, you can always buy an inexpensive transmitter and output sound wirelessly using it. Yes, this is additional expense and inconvenience in the form of another device, but if there is no other way, then the solution is not bad.

Write in the comments. Share useful information and ask questions. I will be happy to answer everyone!

    Flaws:

Further disappointment from this product of the Chinese and Japanese marketers, damn them!
!Very flimsy design! On the first day, when carrying it in my hand, in the case that was included, from the subway to the house, the latch of the battery compartment cover broke. In the first hour of use!!! He didn’t make any effort, carried it in his hand, didn’t drop it, didn’t knock it. Well, I sealed it with tape. The bow looks and feels very weak and flimsy, I'll write later how long it lasts, but I think I'll have to get acquainted with epoxy soon.

Without removing the headphones, you can answer calls; there is a built-in microphone, through which my interlocutors can hear me perfectly. The ear pads are quite wide, they cover the entire ear, have powerful noise reduction, so external sounds do not interfere. There is no cord here, without it it is more convenient to wear on the street, movements are not limited, they are connected via Bluetooth. The sound is quite clear and spacious, listening to music is a pleasure. Disadvantages: Battery is weak. Pros: Control music with one finger on the body, sound quality.

Lately, Bluetooth headphones have been pouring in on me like from a cornucopia. I test them, listen to them, I like each new headset more than the previous one. Now on my hands, or rather not on my neck, is the LG TONE Active+ and, as it turned out, this is almost the best Bluetooth headset that I have tried. In terms of functionality, that’s for sure!

Unboxing

Already from the box, two things become clear. What we have in front of us is not just anything, but a normal, high-quality product – that’s it. The packaging is solid, the cardboard is thick, the printing is high quality - everything is as it should be.

Secondly, the headphones are designed for outdoor activities and sports. On the front side there is a dark-skinned man with a toned torso. It’s as if you unpack the headset, put it on yourself and your dream figure is just a stone’s throw away.

The LG TONE Active+ kit includes replaceable ear pads and additional attachments for more secure fixation of the device on the neck - they are longer than usual. In addition, we put a Micro USB cable and documentation inside.

Design and convenience

Minimalism is not about LG TONE Active+. There is a whole bunch of all sorts of inserts, slots, buttons, stickers and other things. In general, we have before us a thing that is perfect for a sports style of clothing.

However, the headset can also be worn under a business suit. Abroad, people worry less and less about this topic. However, such an accessory around the neck will definitely tell about its owner that he is a big fan of all sorts of electronic gadgets, and he certainly does not cross himself when someone pays at the checkout with a smartphone in front of his eyes.

For convenience. I would not say that the headset is weightless and completely invisible on the neck. On the street, in the bustle of the day, the accessory, of course, ceases to be noticed. Several times I found myself thinking, “Oh my God! Where is the headset?! Ah, here she is! Everything is in place, everything is fine."

Sitting at home, in comfortable home clothes, you can, of course, feel the headset constantly. And, if you follow the logic of the developers, the headphones are designed for this purpose, to always hang on the neck, to track the physical activity of the owner, but we’ll talk about this a little later.

The design here is uniform, the bow is part of the entire headset. It is soft, pliable, and bends well. You can put the headphones around your neck with one hand if the other is suddenly busy.

I really liked the idea of retractable drivers. I grabbed the speaker and pulled it out to the required length (maximum - about 20 cm), inserted it into my ear and rejoice. Removing the earphone is also easy - take it in your hand, pull it forward a little and let go. Due to the special coil inside, the wires are immediately twisted. The design is similar to that used in vacuum cleaners for the network cable - we've probably encountered this before.

The wiring on which the drivers are attached is very thin. This is good because they are practically invisible, and you can’t feel them next to your face. The question of reliability remains open. It is necessary to test for a year, perhaps more, to understand how long such a design will last.

Almost along the entire perimeter of the headset there is a whole bunch of buttons of all kinds. There are eight of them in total, and some have additional functionality: pressed once, one thing happened, held the button, another happened.

Frankly speaking, it took me a long time to get used to the controls. Even after a month, I still don’t use all the keys or all the functionality. I don’t need it, and simple laziness takes over. However, I suspect that if you learn all the commands properly, you will feel like the captain of the Enterprise - you control everything you can and everything is at your fingertips.

Functional

Of course, LG TONE Active+ plays music, because these are Bluetooth headphones first and foremost. However, just like the telephone function in modern smartphones, sound playback through earplugs is not everything.

There are two speakers on the front side of the case. These are the most common external speakers, loud enough for their size. In terms of quality and volume, they are similar to the speakers that are installed in smartphones.

Why are they needed here? Let's get creative.

First of all, LG TONE Active+ can be used in the car as a HandsFree device. Someone calls you, you press the call button and you talk as if through the external speaker of your smartphone. In this case, the latter may be lying around in an unknown place - in a backpack in the back seat, for example.

Secondly, you can just as easily listen to music through an external speaker while riding a bike. After all, riding with headphones is suicide, but you can hear the street and your music is playing right under your nose. Plus, there is no need to attach a wireless speaker to the bicycle frame.

Third scenario. You can pump up your abs with headphones on, or you can take them off, hang them on a nail and turn on external speakers. Thus, you delight not only yourself with music, but also the rest of the guys in the audience.

In addition, TONE Active+ can track physical activity: steps, distance, calories and everything like that. Nothing extraordinary.

Unfortunately, the headset thinks very strangely - not accurately and not always.

In general, if you need an electronic assistant to record your activity, then it is better to take some kind of fitness tracker on your hand. That's where he belongs.

But what’s really useful is the IPx4 moisture protection. With headphones on, you can easily get caught in a downpour on the street and nothing will happen to them. For active recreation and sports, this is really important. The most important thing to remember is that the gadget cannot be immersed in water.

The headset has a built-in vibration motor that notifies you when it is turned on, successfully connected to your smartphone, and other events. I must admit that the vibration here is very powerful. It is impossible to miss it. Moreover! She's even nice. I would not refuse additional functionality in the form of a vibrating massager.

The headset voices most processes in a female voice. True, in English. However, even a school level is enough to understand what this smart girl is talking about: “battery midiem”, “connected” and so on.

Other functions are listed below:

  • using the buttons you can call subscribers from the call log
  • SMS voiceover (only in Korean or English)
  • recording audio notes (stored in its own application, the quality is so-so)

Connection

It goes very quickly and without problems. One has only to move the power lever and the smartphone is hooked up in 2-3 seconds. I clicked on Play and playback immediately started, despite the fact that the player was not running. No NFC, but no problem with it. With such a fast connection, it is not needed.

To enable activity tracking, you need to simultaneously hold down two track scrolling buttons. The Tone & Talk application will immediately notice this and begin recording all the data. However, I repeat, the headset counts steps very poorly. I wouldn't trust her.

Sound quality

I tested it recently - this model sounded a little better, but the gadget from LG didn’t lose face.

The sound quality is good, worthy of hearing by 95% of users.

I don’t think that such a model is suitable for real audiophiles. On the other hand, they themselves know that they haven’t come up with anything better yet.

A unique case is that the headset supports the Qualcomm aptX HD codec, which is used specifically for wireless audio transmission.

However, there is one caveat - you need a smartphone that supports this at the hardware level. It so happens that there are few such devices. This and . The recently released one also boasts this feature. In addition to them, another model from Vertu and an unknown Luna device (TG-L900S) appeared to anyone alive.

This is what I will say about this. I tried it, listened to the sound with this aptX HD and... I didn’t understand anything. No, the sound was great. However, how it differs from aptX without that same “HD” was absolutely not clear to me, or rather, inaudible. On the other hand, I never consider myself to be in the category of those anointed by God, the very ones who hear the shades and richness of the nuances of the sound stage, therefore there is nothing to talk about here.

There is no other information. Why the manufacturer hides such important data for headphones as the frequency range, signal-to-noise ratio, and so on is absolutely not clear to me.

Battery life

In this plan headset LG TONE Active+ I didn't like it. No, it has excellent autonomy, but for me personally this was the problem. I listened to music almost every day for about 30-40 minutes, tried to get her to sit down for more than two weeks, and she always had this “battery midiam”.

As a result, I missed at what point the charge level was low and the headset suddenly turned off. This means exactly two things. It has an average charge level 80 percent of the time, so be careful with that. If you feel that you haven’t charged your headphones for a long time, you should do so as soon as possible.

Autonomy is still good.

Just in case, here is the official data from the manufacturer:

  • talk time - 13 hours (through speakers - 9.5 hours)
  • maximum music playback - 12 hours (through speakers - 6 hours)
  • waiting time - 430 hours

Bottom line

LG TONE Active+ is intended primarily for athletes (runners, cyclists, etc.). It is ergonomic and has protection against sweat/moisture.

The second category of users who might like it are city dwellers who can afford an informal style of clothing. Casual is also suitable. For the life of me I can’t imagine a guy in a business suit or shirt with these headphones. In addition, they do not fit under the collar because they simply become uncomfortable. Tested for myself.

What's the rest? The sound quality is good, the connection is problem-free, and the convenience is excellent. There is a slight confusion with the buttons (there are simply too many of them), but you get used to it, and after that it becomes unclear how it could be otherwise. If only the price were less than two thousand, it would be absolutely wonderful. Current price LG TONE Active+ Currently it is 8,990 rubles.

Definitely recommended for purchase, but don't expect miracles for this price. Beware of Chinese counterfeits on Ebay and Aliexpress. The fakes are similar to the point of indistinguishability; they are only distinguished by poor sound quality and a very short battery life. It is basically impossible to check this when purchasing online. An official retail chain should be preferred. Watch and listen before purchasing.

Advantages:

Excellent sound quality (music and voice transmission, microphone) for a compact wireless headset, long battery life, fast charging, excellent fit on the neck, comfortable and distinct control buttons, multi-point, stylish design, Bluetooth 4.1 LE. The connection is quite stable.

Flaws:

The size of the earplugs themselves is too large, this applies to both their body and the rubber ear pads. They come in 3 sizes, but even the smallest ones are too big for my ears. There could have been a little more bass, especially considering the large size of the speakers themselves. There is no active noise reduction system, which greatly interferes with conversations in windy weather or noisy places. The range is short, no more than 4 meters, but in principle more is not needed.

The multi-button is a nightmare. Substructure construction in Korean. The fact is that it has 3 functions at once: on/off, play/pause and last call redial. You need to calculate the pressing time. If you want to turn it off, but did not time the press, the last number is dialed. If you want to press play, it's the same thing. It’s very awkward later in front of friends: I have to explain that “every year on December 31, my friends and I go to the bathhouse.” The worst thing is if you have to explain about the multi-button at night or early in the morning to a very important person. If you communicate a lot on the phone with important people, then in all seriousness, refuse to buy this headset. But for me personally, the most important thing is sound quality. It is at its best, considering that this is a junior model with a “junior” price. The battery lasts a long time. Signal reception distance: 10 m indoors, 15 m outdoors. The headphones do not press or pop out, and you can move your head freely. By the way, this thing can read incoming SMS in Russian - very convenient. I give it a 4 for the sneaky multi-button.

    Advantages:

    decent sound quality
    stylish appearance
    ease of landing
    capacious battery

    Flaws:

    multi-button "on/off/play/call"

I mostly listen to audiobooks while walking. I almost always use only one earphone, the second one always got in the way, dangled, slipped, etc. This is not the case here. The adjustable length of the wire is convenient, nothing dangles. The sound is quite satisfactory. So far I like it better than the previous SBH50 headset: subjectively more convenient (there are several nice features), it loads faster, holds a charge longer, charges faster. The reason for the replacement was that the clip was broken. I wanted to buy a proven headset, because... Everything was fine, but I decided to experiment with another manufacturer - I was not disappointed.

    Advantages:

Design, light weight, ease of operation (read the instructions), fairly good sound in conjunction with the Xperia Z1 (subjective), ease of wearing and using. Holds a charge for a long time and charges quickly. Sound notifications about the charge level, about establishing a connection with the phone, about a call and when a call ends.

    Flaws:

Sometimes the sound stutters - I don’t know why. There is a suspicion that the interlocutors do not hear me very well during a telephone conversation.

Well, in general, everything is great for the money, but the sound... 4 - in a relatively quiet place, 3+ - in the subway, etc. Places. Hisses at high levels, so -0.5.
By the way, when checking, put in your own ambros, otherwise the ones that come out of the box are the smallest ones - they don’t sound comme il faut.

Ergonomics, appearance, sound (in its category)

I immediately write what interested me when I read the reviews but could not find it anywhere. I use the headset with Iphone 6plus!
Due to the closed nature of iOS, there are no proprietary functions that are implemented through a proprietary program on Android - reading SMS and something else, but! a single click launches Siri, which, in principle, you can ask and call whoever you need and send or read an SMS, so as a result the functionality does not suffer much.

I was pleasantly surprised by the sound, I listen to podcasts (I hardly listen to music), the quality is excellent - better than my Sony earplugs. Noise insulation on the smallest ear pads is good; in the subway you can hear everything without any problems, no complaints.

One of the nice features is an icon with the charge level in the phone’s status bar, as well as in the top drop-down menu it is shown as a percentage - a small thing, but a nice touch. Once it happened that at first it showed a charge of 30%, and then very quickly it was discharged to 2% and the headset turned off, but considering that before that I used the headset for 3 days (about 3 hours a day in listening mode), I think that anyway, she has the right battery.

    Advantages:

Weight, ease of use, sound quality, instant and strong connection, operating time.

    Flaws:

play\pause by double click instead of single click, which is not obvious.

I spent a long time choosing from different types of headsets, but settled on these. they are comfortable, they don’t stick out of the ear like when wearing gill-type headsets, they don’t catch the eye of others, the interlocutor hears well, if your ear is tired, you can simply remove the earphone and attach it to the magnet at the tip, I usually go with one earphone, but if I want music, I insert the other, the charge is enough for a whole day of listening at an average load. I bought it to talk while driving, considering that I have a 7-inch phablet, a good way out of this situation is to not have to hold the bandura to your ear. I advise.

    Advantages:

    comfortable, compact, quality build.

The controls are simple, everything you need is there, including scrolling through tracks. The collar is not felt on the neck and does not press, although I don’t even like scarves. They look flimsy, but this is due to the fact that they weigh almost nothing.

These are already the third decent-sounding bl headphones, and so far they

    Advantages:

    Sound!
Of course, it’s useless to expect super bass for heavy music from plugs (better buy a subwoofer), but the mids and highs are very good. (And if you put the plugs in your ears well, the quality of the low frequencies also increases greatly, to a pleasant level. That’s how I listen.) The voice sounds very beautiful. And an aria from the queen of the night with a super high voice, and Buddhist throat mantras with low, booming voices. The sound is spacious, you can feel it on good recordings.

    Flaws:

As I understand it, the phone needs to support sound transmission with good quality. otherwise there's no point. Huge nozzles included. The smallest ones are already standing. (I bought a set of attachments of all sizes separately for pennies)

I would like more bass. However, even in this form, ears are worth everything. I recommend!

    Advantages:

Light on ears, excellent sound for earplugs, battery life is an honest 7 hours, instantly connects to the phone.

    Flaws:

To connect to the laptop, you need to disconnect from the phone. After connecting the laptop, we connect the smart one - otherwise the computer does not see the headset.

As a music lover who listens to music all the time, I am delighted with the headphones! No damn wires! I got used to it for about a week. I didn’t listen to music before because I was too lazy to take out headphones and it wasn’t always convenient. Now I “always” wear them!
    Device: Lumia820 on Win10
    Sound +++++++++
And on the Android tablet there is distorted sound (

    Advantages:

The sound is the best, comfortable (sometimes I forget that I’m wearing them), operating and charging time, functionality...

    Flaws:

I've been using it for about 2-3 months:

Previously I used 730s and these sound better. Initially I thought they were quiet, but it turned out that I increased the sound almost incorrectly (it was a little more convenient on the 730), but after setting it up once, then adjusting it on the phone. P.S. Excellent headphones. I bought the 730s and never regretted it, but here the sound is much better.

    Advantages:

Excellent sound, bluetooth 4.1 (I don’t have time to turn it on before it connects right away)

    Flaws:

Turning on the power (on the 730 they didn’t turn on themselves, but on these ones it happens)

I put it on, hooked it up to the phone, turned on the music and went. Everything is simple and intuitive. I only needed to consult the instructions once: to understand how to connect 2 devices to the headset at once (phone and laptop). Everything is working.
Lives stably for several days, charges quickly. Recommended for anyone who is tired of getting tangled up in wires and regularly taking their phone out of their pocket.
P.S. Can be used as HandsFree in the car.

    Advantages:

Comfortable, fast headset. Good sound quality (although I'm not a music lover, so this is a subjective opinion). The wires do not rub against clothing while moving, so there is a minimum of extraneous noise.

    Flaws:

    From a series of quibbles:
    1) If you pull the wire, the ring that holds it on the collar flies out. You can lose it.
    2) You need to get used to the controls. For example, double-clicking "Plus" switches to the next song. Because of this, you cannot quickly increase the volume. On the other hand, if you press the button too quickly 2 times in a row, the headset will only perceive one press.

The sound is acceptable, the quality of data transfer and connection speed are high. Particularly pleasing is the ability to connect to several devices at once.

It looks like a slave collar, but people are not yet accustomed to sufficiently progressive thinking.

You have to constantly think about the fact that it is running low and there is no way to connect via a wire, which would undoubtedly be convenient.

The charging port is positioned in such a way that it is impossible to use and charge at the same time, which in my opinion is a serious design flaw considering how easily this could have been avoided.

    Cannot be folded compactly.

Overall I like it. The price is quite low, while the sound quality is not the worst, and the convenience of a wireless headset is simply indescribable.

    Advantages:

    Sound quality
    - Connection speed

    Flaws:

    Appearance
    - Discharges quickly
    - Charging port location
    - Impossibility of wired connection
    - Geometry

If you listen to rock, metal, etc. music - pass by.

Firstly, there is no bass at all. The equalizer on the playback device helps a little, but it is very far from acceptable sound. (Up to this point, I had been using different Sennheizer plugs for about 10 years. CX300, CX400, CX275-S, CX870)

Secondly, at high volumes and very rich music they begin to wheeze, and it seems that it is not the headphones, but interference on the Bluetooth channel that appears. When the distance to the phone is 1.5 meters and the battery is fully charged.

If you listen to electronics or acoustics, there are no complaints, no interference and clear sound at any volume.

Lightweight, comfortable, almost instant connection. Multipoint. Price.

Despite the disadvantages, I really liked the headset.

    Advantages:

The operating time stated by the manufacturer is fully justified. We worked for 5 days, of which 8 hours were playing music. More precisely, they turned on just for these 8 hours out of these 5 days.
Low frequencies are quite sufficient. There is an equalizer with 3 presets (turned on by holding down both volume buttons) after turning off the last selected one is saved.
It is very comfortable to wear the headset. If regular headphones need to constantly tighten the wire so that there is no feeling that the headphones will fly out of the ears at the slightest turn of the head, then this is not the case here. You can twist your head as far as your neck allows and the headphones won’t fall out because the cable might get caught somewhere.

    Flaws:

When there is an obstacle between the sound source and the headset, for example, arms folded on the chest, short stuttering occurs.
Three buttons are still not enough for comfortable control. Everything has to be done by double-clicking (switching tracks, pausing). Again, a pause configured for a double press instead of a single press is far from convenient. Voice dialing is set to single press here.
There is too little time left to use after first receiving the Low battery message. There will still be low battery messages twice at intervals of a minute, and then they simply turn off.

Overall, I was pleased with the headset - my hands are free, the sound is pleasant. It’s really funny to answer a call on the street when your headphones are hidden under a scarf - people shy away and look like you’re the city crazy ☺
P.S. I was looking for another problem on the Internet, which manifested itself in the form of loss of sound in the right earphone, after switching tracks or increasing the volume, 2 weeks after starting use, but it looks like it’s a defect and we just need to get to the repair: (By the way, the sound returns if it’s quiet I press the right case, but for the same reason I try not to touch the volume button and, in principle, not to touch the case.

    Advantages:

    There are no inconvenient wires - nothing dangles or clings when your hands are busy/running, and even if you are sitting at the computer listening and you need to get up and walk somewhere - the sound is with you (at a distance of 4 meters or one reinforced concrete wall☺);
    Reads SMS messages and some pop-up messages from social networks (my headset seemed to react to Instagram) after installing the program;

    Flaws:

    As a music lover, I was upset by the weak bass (for this and 4), the equalizer on the phone is amazing (Sony m4);
    When listening to tracks with 90 bpm or less, stuttering sometimes appears;
    Sometimes the connection to the computer is buggy, you have to reconnect Bluetooth both on the headset and on the computer 2-4 times;
