Add-on "CompactSolars"

If none of the improved panels suits you, you can use the CompactSolars add-on, which adds a few more new features. Their trick is that they take up much less space in Minecraft (maximum 512 times). Resources for creating such a panel using a simple method

There are two ways to craft such a panel - a simpler one and a more complicated one. In the first case, to create it you will need a solar battery, a composite, reinforced glass, an improved electrical circuit and an improved mechanism body or a luminous reinforced plate - depending on which version of the mod is used: 3.3.4 or older.

The composite is obtained by compressing a special composite ingot using a compressor. This source material is created from an alloy of three metals: purified iron, bronze and tin - in the form of ingots or plates. The composite is also needed to make strengthened glass. To do this, two of its plates are installed in the outer cells of the middle vertical or horizontal row of the workbench. The remaining slots are occupied by glass blocks. This quantity of materials produces seven units of reinforced glass.

A solar battery is much more difficult to craft. Here you will need three glass blocks and units of coal dust, two electrical circuits and a generator. The latter is installed in the center of the bottom row of the crafting mesh, electrical circuits are located on the sides of it, above it and along upper corners- coal dust, and the remaining places go to glass.

The improved electrical circuit is made from a regular one, which must certainly be placed in the center of the machine. In the corners of its grid there will be four units of redstone dust, in the two remaining vertical cells - light dust (created by the destruction of glostone - a luminous stone from Hell), and in a pair of horizontal cells - lapis lazuli.

The improved mechanism body is made from a similar simple device. The usual body of the mechanism must be placed in the central cell of the workbench, two units of carbon fiber plastic (obtained by compressor compression of carbon fiber) should be placed on the sides of it, four plates of hardened iron should be placed in the corners, and a composite should be inserted into the remaining two cells.

If, instead of such a mechanism body, a luminous reinforced plate is used, it is obtained from slightly different resources. This time a reinforced plate of iron and iridium will be placed in the center of the machine, a diamond will be inserted under it, a solar part (made of light dust and two units of pink matter) will be inserted above it, ultramarine will be placed on the sides, and red dust will be placed in the corners.

Assembly of improved solar panel in the presence of necessary resources won't be difficult. The entire top row of the workbench will be occupied by three blocks of reinforced glass, a solar battery will go into the central slot, a composite will go on either side of it, two improved electrical circuits will be underneath it, and between them will be an improved mechanism housing or a luminous reinforced plate.

A sophisticated method of crafting an environmentally friendly energy source

Making an improved solar panel using a more complex recipe should be done in much the same way. The only serious difference is that instead of reinforced glass, a luminous glass panel will be used in the same quantity - three pieces.

To make it, you first need to craft glowing uranium. To do this, its enriched ingot must be placed in the center of the workbench, and four units of light dust must be placed on the sides, bottom and top. You will need two of these products.

Ingots of luminous uranium will go into the outermost cells of the middle horizontal row of the machine, light dust will stand between them, and the remaining six slots will be occupied by reinforced glass. As a result, you will get luminous glass panels, and in sufficient quantities - six pieces (this is enough for two improved solar panels).

Energy plays an important role in Industrialcraft 2; without it, it will be impossible to use many of the mechanisms added in this modification. Generators are used to extract energy (windmill, geothermal generator, water mill, etc.), and it is also possible to extract energy using solar panels. As you can see from the picture, to craft this mechanism you will need the following - coal dust (3 pieces), an electrical circuit (2 pieces), glass (3 pieces) and a generator. Let's analyze the crafting of each part separately in order to calculate all the resources that we will need to spend on the battery.

Coal dust can be made using crusher, by placing ordinary coal in it. I don’t think it’s worth explaining how glass is produced. The most complex parts are the generator and electrical circuits.
Let's start with the electrical circuits. They are crafted from insulated copper wires, iron plate and red dust. Craft looks like this.

Copper wires can be made from copper sheets, which in turn can be crafted by placing a hammer and a copper ingot into a crafting table. Such wires are insulated using rubber (caoutchouc), which is extracted from Hevea trees and then fired in a kiln.

Now let's move on to crafting a generator. To do this, we need a mechanism body (you can use three iron plates and an iron stove instead), a battery and an ordinary stone stove.

To craft a battery you will need red dust (2 pieces), tin shell (4 pieces) and insulated tin wire. The reason is created according to the same scheme as the copper one. And the shell can be crafted using a hammer and tin ingots; to do this, first you need to make a plate from the ingot, and then process it with a hammer again (one battery will require 2 ingots for the shell, and one for the wire).

Assembling the mechanism body is not difficult; for it you need to get 8 iron ingots and flatten them using the same hammer. Next, place it in the workbench so that there is one unoccupied cell left in the center.

And in one day (namely, 10 minutes of light), if you take a calculator and count, it produces 13,050 eE.

It is also worth mentioning that such a battery will not generate energy during rain. Thus, the most convenient place where you can install it is the desert, because it doesn’t rain there and the solar battery will generate energy all day without interruption.
