For example, we offer dealership to IT companies like us, which has four forms: sales, training, implementation and development. We give our partners the right to sell Megaplan on our behalf, train clients, write extensions and set up integrations with other services and programs. They take our API application creation module and modify Megaplan to meet the needs of a specific client. For some partners, such cooperation eventually becomes a new direction in business.

So, one of our clients used Megaplan and at some point realized that he lacked tools for online monitoring of key indicators of the sales department. Then he, together with other developers, came up with the Polytell service, which integrates with Megaplan. So the client himself became a partner, discovering a new source of income.

Step 2. Create and formalize the work algorithm

First of all, prepare the ground for selling yourself and your product to a partner. He must understand that working with you is beneficial, and he can earn decent money.

Before concluding an agreement, discuss what exactly interest is charged for: for a transition to the site, for registration or for a sale. Check how quickly and regularly the reward is transferred to the partner’s account, describe the conditions and sales tools. Try to resolve possible disagreements in advance. Discussion of details is important: if your partner’s expectations are not met, he will be disappointed and leave. We don't want this, do we?

To avoid problems, we first train and test the dealer. We honestly explain how the program works, what risks await you at first, when the partner sees the results of the work. I advise you not to lie.

The partner studies the product on the website in the help section or in free webinars. Each partner has a personal manager in Megaplan who answers questions and is ready to help. You need to teach your partners how to use, sell and promote your product, because each has their own specifics.

We deliberately spend time and effort training our partners before signing an agreement. If he does not understand the product, it is useless to expect good results from him. It may take a lot of effort and money at the dating stage, but then you don’t have to rack your brains and work on mistakes. And of course, at this stage, the unscrupulous and lazy are eliminated: if a person is not ready to learn, he probably will not actively sell. After a partner passes a simple test, he receives a certificate. Then we sign the contract.

Step 3. Sign an agreement

Be sure to include all terms and conditions in the partnership agreement. Why is it important? When partners sell your product, they do not risk anything: in the worst case, they lose possible profits. It doesn’t cost them anything to go to competitors at the first difficulties.

In the contract, be sure to stipulate the rules for revising the terms and conditions and indicate the validity period. It may happen that the affiliate program becomes unprofitable for you, for example, if you open a branch in another city and get direct access to clients.

Megaplan enters into a one-year contract with referral partners, and a three-year contract with dealers. When it comes to intellectual property, one of the mandatory clauses of the contract is liability for violation of trade secrets. With some partners we enter into a separate non-disclosure agreement - the so-called NDA.

Step 4. Provide partner support

You need to work with partners in the same way as with clients: train, accompany and take care of them. For example, we are constantly improving the product and updating it once a month. The partner should be aware of most updates. Specialists working with partners supervise everyone: send news, organize additional training for new partner employees.

For the affiliate program to work, you need to take care of sales tools: website banners, advertising texts, letter templates for clients - and this is the task of the vendor. It’s convenient for the partner because he doesn’t have to do it himself. A new advertising campaign from a partner will not come as a surprise to you.

We recently launched a new affiliate website, where you can find out the conditions of our programs and submit an application for partnership. When a partner registers with Megaplan, he gets access to the Partner Account. His individual link, contract template and set of marketing materials are stored there, and statistics on leads are also accumulated. The referral partner can at any time see how many users came through his link, who bought the product and how much he earned. A convenient affiliate account helps develop the program because it adds transparency to financial relations.

To prevent an affiliate program from failing, it is important to follow a number of rules.

Explain company goals. Don’t forget to discuss with your partner what audience you are counting on and what results you are interested in. The partner will choose the desired promotion channel - if your product is designed for entrepreneurs, then housewives or schoolchildren will not come to you.

Monitor your reputation. Control where your clients come from, how much time they spend on the site, and whether they swear on the way out. Keep in mind that partners may act in bad faith. For example, hang a banner with your advertisement on a site with prohibited content or invite you to watch a free movie that is not on your site. Potential clients will leave bad reviews, and you may be demoted in search results.

Be realistic about opportunities. We often discuss risks, but at the same time we may not take into account optimistic scenarios. If too many clients come through affiliate links, will the site cope? Do you have enough call center staff and inventory to satisfy everyone?

Don't expect quick results. You shouldn’t count on an avalanche-like growth in sales and huge turnover immediately after launching an affiliate program. At the first stage, there are not many transitions from partner sites. Typically, noticeable profits appear after 3-6 months.

Be honest with partners. Provide complete statistics of collaboration: how many clients came through his link, how many products were sold. The more your partner believes in you, the greater his desire to work with you.


Don't make sudden movements. After concluding an agreement, you cannot change the terms of interest rates or other important points relating to the relationship with your partner. Change, especially unpredictable change, can lead to conflict and the loss of a valuable supporter. All changes must be discussed in advance.

Don't leave things to chance: Strong relationships take work. An affiliate program will not generate income if you launch it and then forget about it. Interaction with partners needs to be improved: update advertising tools, provide support, check indicators and results.
