In the last couple of months, due to workload, there hasn’t been enough time for “creativity”, but since the topic of firmware for Chinese smartphones is very popular, I couldn’t ignore another budget masterpiece from the Middle Kingdom. So, today we will install the official international firmware on the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime smartphone, which has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of ROM. Don't get confused! After the global update is released on Xiaomi Redmi 4, I will create a separate article for it.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime smartphone came to me with pre-installed firmware of unknown origin. We install the necessary drivers and utility for XiaoMiFlash firmware on the PC. Turn off the smartphone and switch it to EDL mode; to do this, simultaneously press two volume buttons and connect the phone to the computer using a microUSB cable. After the smartphone vibrates, release the buttons. In this case, there should be nothing on the smartphone display. If the drivers are installed correctly, the Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COMX) device will appear in the Device Manager, where X is the COM port number.

Download and unpack the archive with the firmware to your computer. Launch the XiaoMiFlash application and specify the path to the unzipped firmware.
