Connecting to an IP Camera

To connect to an IP camera, you need to know its address in local network and port, as well as protocol.

The "Intervals" button allows you to set the time after which the alarm is reset.

Now let's move on to setting up the recording. Open the “Recording” tab and first of all, you should set the camera initialization time after turning on “Max. Calibration Delay” - no alarm or motion detection occurs during camera initialization.

Next, set the parameters "Inactivity Record" and "Min. record time. The first sets the number of seconds of recording after the end of the movement, the second - the minimum length of the entire recording. The smaller these values, the more video files will be output.
If desired, in the "Trigger Recording" line, you can select a camera that will start recording simultaneously with the current one.
Now it remains to determine the folder where the videos will be stored, for this we go to the “Storage” tab. To add new folder, click on the button opposite "Media Location" and get into the global settings section.

You can also set a limit on the size of the archive and the period for deleting old records.

Connecting a microphone to the camera

If you need to record sound, you can add a microphone to the camera. Microphone in iSpy is added as separate device. Click ADD > Microphone, now, depending on the type of your camera, you must specify the correct audio stream URL. In this example, audio is transmitted in Wav format.

Click OK and get into the microphone settings. Here, almost the same settings as for the camera. It is necessary to adjust the sensitivity and, if necessary, the alarm and sound recording. In order to bind a microphone to a camera, you need to click on its settings button and specify the desired microphone in the window that opens.

To add a room diagram or floor plan, click right click on gray background and select "Add Floor Plan". Now you need to upload a picture with a floor plan. After that, it will be necessary to add cameras and microphones to the scheme. This is done by simply dragging and dropping from the list onto the diagram.

To change the viewing angle on the diagram or rotate the camera, use the key combinations that are given in the plan editing window.
